"Whumpee, how are you feeling? I think you should eat something. Or at least drink something," Caretaker said gently as they came into Whumpee's room to check on them. They had diligently come in to check on Whumpee very two hours as the doctor had ordered. Though their concussion was mild, it was still cause for concern.

"Mmmmmm," Whumpee groaned from beneath the blanket. "DDDDDDDon't-t-t-t-t wwwwwantttttt t-t-t-o."

Caretaker tried to breathe through the worry and concern as they listened to Whumpee's slurred words. The doctor had reassured Caretaker that was a part of the concussion and should heal in a few days. Still, hearing Whumpee, the person who was so articulate and precise with their words, struggle to speak was scary.

"You need to. I can give you another pain pill if you eat something."

With a groan, Whumpee slowly threw back the covers. "OWWWWWW," they shouted, retreating once more beneath the blanket. "BBBBBrighttttt."

"Whumpee' the lights are off in here. The only light is from the window."

"Br'ttttt," Whumpee's muffled voice came from beneath the blankets.

Caretaker carefully closed the curtains. Maybe they needed to treat the concussion more like a migraine. "Do you have a migraine?"

"Mhmmmmm," Whumpee hummed.

Caretaker sighed. "Let me get you your meds. But you need to drink all the water over on the nightstand. I'll bring you your sunglasses, too."

"Th'ks," Whumpee mumbled.

"You're welcome, Whumpee. Let me get those. Drink your water and I'll be right back."

While the initial press conference seemed to go smoothly, Logan hoped it stayed that way. They were nearing the end of it and the bodyguard almost breathed a sigh of relief when he heard it too. And while, years ago, Logan would've had a much more violent response, he spots what Cen most definitely has on his mind and moves quickly. When he does manage to avert near catastrophe, the blonde shoots the King a silent warning look but obeys the command he's given.

When he goes down to escort the man out himself, Logan comes to regret it. The gentleman hollers nothing but homophobic slurs in his face, accusing Logan of corrupting the King, converting him. That gives Logan pause, his body unresponsive when the police begin to help, finding assistance is needed for a near belligerent old man. Logan watches them take him away, stick him in a cruiser, and cart him down to the station.

Those words sting as Logan makes his way back to the room Cen is now in, for a break is needed anyways. "You have to be careful." Logan offers when he closes them away in privacy, but he's no happier for it. Hearing those words ricochet in his head, it makes him doubt. Maybe that's why he can't really look at his King for a moment. "I know it's emotional, but you can't show your people that kind of rage." His voice is stern if a little sorrowful, but he finally spares a small glare, but it softens as he searches for a water in the fridge.

I'm the "nazi is a slur apparently" anon from before, and I gotta say the situation has gotten worse. I was banned from the server for "saying slurs (I can reclaim the f slur + it didn't happen in that server) apparently making fun of a vent (?) and trying to break rules."
