I finally found a frame for my sexy Sam print, and after testing him out in a few rooms decided he looks best next to my bed. I hope the artist @quickreaver knows how much I adore this bespectacled tattooed smoking MoL Sam Winchester (I'm sure she does since I've babbled on about it enough). These photos do not show the colours or shine as beautifully as they look in person, but no matter what light, he's smoking hot.

I haven't forgotten about these! I'm just super busy and taking a little intermittent SM break, but thank you for asking, raven! 30. This is kind of a toughie because I feel really lucky that folks seem to like my art and say nice things about it! I don't really poke around at which piece gets the most hits, so I had to peruse back through my fandom art history... This one didn't get much love, and action shots are harrrrrd. 19. Oh, good question! I hate mech and architecture, because I honestly suck at perspective, so I know that's right out. Okay, I do love drawing and painting clouds. Atmospheric conditions. Sun peeking through a tree canopy. Shadows that play across surfaces. Anything that really impacts the mood and lighting of a picture. That really tickles my pickle.

24. Oh, yeah, of course! I typically use a TON of ref images, including stock. (I have a Dreamstime account, in fact, and unsplash is a gem of a site, for free stock.) But I aim not to just copy the refs, flat out. Repainting photos that already exist doesn't do much for me, and when folks can download photos and run any number of Photoshop filters over them without any other alteration of the source image (or plug words into an AI program) and call it "painting", I just, nah. The trick is to take the visual info and reinterpret it in your own style, through your own sensibilities. That's where the fun and creativity lie!

Around March 12th, @quickreaver made a collection for Paula over on AO3 and asked me if I'd like to participate and make some new works dedicated to her, preferably before March 25th. I told QR I'd try, but I was still in the process of finishing my last project the mer!Jared au.

But after I finished up with that, I looked at the list of likes and dislikes given to me and I went for a mob au set vaugely in the 1920's, because when I think mob I think of the roaring 20's.

I started this project March 14 and finished April 3rd. So I worked on this off and on for 21 days. Nine days over the due date, sadly. But, I wanted to finish what I started, so I continued. It's a collection that's supposed to stay open and added to indefinitely anyways.

The title of the work is taken from the lyrics in "Salvatore" by Lana Del Rey.

Dean does have freckles they're just very faint.👍

The angel gives Sam power he can’t control: power to move things with his mind, power over fire, and wings that nobody else can see—bony and jagged with scaly feathers. Dean says monsters aren't real, but Dad thinks they are. Sam's power scares him, and he’s not always sure what's real, but what he does know is people keep trying to kill the three of them, and he won't let that happen. (~20K, gen)

Pattern Recognition: A Hannibal/Supernatural fusion AU  -  Sam and Dean split after River Pass, and their confrontation with the Horseman, War. Since Will’s escape from the Baltimore Institute for the Criminally Insane, he and Sam have been in hiding. They have a cabin, in the middle of nowhere, that keeps them off the radar; they find comfort in each other. Burdens, Doublefold - cowritten with @quickreaver​, art by ileliberte What if Dean left Sam at Stanford after the fire, hoping it would keep his little brother safe and make things better? Somehow, 'better' never seems to be in the Winchester Family cards. Sam gets tangled up with his ex-roommate Brady, tracking psychics, but dealing with demons is never honest business. Dean carries on until his father is put in grave danger. He is left on his own to deal, stumbling into Harvelle's Roadhouse for help, where Dean gets just a little more than he bargained for. Eventually, the brothers’ paths twist and turn their way back to each other, but the results could mean the End of Days. (67k, gen, AU of seasons 1-2)
