!!SPOILER FOR EPISODE 13 OF NINJAGO CRYSTALIZED!!

Is it just me or does Harumi seem less... I'm not sure how exactly to put it but... composed?

In Sog and Hunted she was completly in control. At least for most of the time. She was arrogant and sure of herself and except for a few scenes here and there kept a cool manner.

She took a gamble here with the Crystal King in exchange for her ressurection, but only realised the consequences of it once she placed the Crystal. In the Flashbacks she seems to be quite quick to anger. Even more then when she lost her cool with Lloyd in Sog and hunted.

While she's talking to Lloyd she seems eager to leave (gritting her teeth once he keeps talking as she's trying to leave) and this confident face she puts up seems a little more 'showy' and easily crumbles to make way for her emotional responses ("then why didn't you save me!?!" , "what!?! My monologue has already been said!" , "Of course I'm not serious! Ugh")

I just find it so interesting how even she seems to feel unsure of this and how she behaves when she's not in control of the Situation. How she might not even be sure she still has that much influence over Lloyd until he hands her the prove she does over willingly. We know she's more impulsive in Situations where things go south or when they are out of here control like when she jumped after the mask of hatred in Sog, but here she's seems to be trying to mask it (ironically) in false confidence in front of Lloyd. Albeit much less affective then in Hunted where during the runtime she seemed to realise she might have screwed up but still managed to appear calm and collected until the end.

I usally don't post me analysing scenes or characters but this has been on my mind since I watched the episode so I needed to ramble a bit. I hope I manage to tag this correctly since I've never posted like this before.

It really feels like the only reason Harumi was redeemed was because Lloyd wants to fuck her which really sucks for both of their characters. For Lloyd it makes him come off a simp (derogatory) who’s willing to ignore a person’s glaring personal flaws if she’s hot enough.

As for Harumi her redemption felt incredibly shallow and that she truly does have very little care for anyone outside of herself. The redemption she got was opportunistic at best and self serving at worst. By the end of crystallized Harumi hasn’t learned that revenge is a never ending cycle she’s just learned that she was aiming at the wrong person.

TLDR Crystallized needed 3-4 parts AT LEAST to actually flesh out the character arcs and justify the ending we got.

i think what pisses me off the most is that last year, nobody had trouble going against russia. companies dropped everything so they could keep russians off their sites, to block them from their news articles and to sanction in other ways. eurovision kicked it out. even steam, discord, any fucking western apps or websites have been so willing to perform in ‘activism’. musicians and celebrities speaking out and country-blocking their work, and so much more. but now what? where is all of that now for israel? where are all the brands leaving the country to ‘protest’? where is anything? what pisses me off the most is that none of them have actually really cared about ukraine, ever, and none of them care about palestine now.

as sad and disappointing as this is, look me in the eyes and tell me that this isnt the absolute funniest shit youve ever seen. like, they changed their bio to ONE vaguely implicative sentence and posted some promo statement about where you can find it on streaming services, and this little shitty cockroach fandom (affectionate) absolutely BLOWS THE FUCK UP. like, within the span of 2-3 days, we completely took over tumblr so that this 15-year-old fandom was trending, their twitter account gained roughly 6k followers, and everyone is theorizing about a season six a reboot a spin-off a red white and royal blue crossover every thing under the SUN and it literally gets so bad that the poor intern (thats probably gotten two hours of sleep this week and is running solely on celsius and coffee) and the two-person marketing team that managed this whole thing had to scramble to clarify that WE'RE NOT ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING WE'RE JUST ADVERTISING THE SHOW AGAIN
