There’s a loud snarling noise outside the window. 

Not that Jazz is concerned. She’s just also trying to study for med school and would appreciate some quiet. And preferred her brother not contracting rabies whenever he tried to square off with the local rogue or three who tried to use the alley. 

As he had put it, it was his alley, he’d claimed it for tinkering. Though perhaps she should maybe ask him to quiet down on his insisted territorialism, even if she understood it. She would also probably maul someone if they tried to enter their apartment flat. It came with the territory of being ecto contaminated, or as the rest of them were now calling it, with being a liminal. 

Once the more draconic aspects started to emerge well, one wasn’t just contaminated anymore after all. Hence the whole school-worth of them leaving Amity while all their parents waged war against the guys in white. Last she heard it was going well. 

Which meant she could focus on her studies as soon as- okay it wouldn’t be quiet, it seems the rest of the kids joined in on mauling the poor idiot who tried to steal their things from the alley. Damn…

currently obsessed with the view our current harbingers have of the Tsaritsa. both childe and arlecchino greatly respect her even if arlecchino is dubiously loyal to the Tsaritsa at best. they both talk about her as a figure who is gentle and compassionate, completely at odds with both the organization she allows to commit horrible acts (dottore. its a lot of dottore. he canonically took children from the hoth under the old knave if they were no longer considered "useful" and used as test subjects). shes described as someone with no love left for her people yet the harbingers we've heard talk about her never seem to describe her in such a manner. of course, childe mentions she had to harden herself to complete her goal, but he still notes that shes too gentle. the more we learn about her the more i want to meet her purely because she is contradictions all the way down and its great!!! taking whatever scraps i can get and its perfectly in line with my characterization too so i stay winning

Storytime bc I can NOT keep this shit to just myself oh my god this is HILARIOUS

Ok so me my mum & dad we're talking about how children are different regardless of where they came from, right? and so my mum launches into a story (you know it's good when my mum, the beacon of memory in our household [seriously that woman forgets NOTHING] launches into a story):

She says as a set-up that my brother had one (1) temper-tantrum when he was preschool age and my father spanked him twice — he never had one ever again.

Then, it was my turn.

One day in preschool I, apparently, didn't wanna go home for whatever reason preschool-aged me thought was adequate for the occasion, and so I proceeded to have a temper-tantrum.

Quick context, I have a shitty ass memory and all I remember from things like preschool are like. two things and everything else I've been told — for example, I've been told many many times how I apparently had a deep seated hatred for this one little plasticy backpack/suitcase type combo that every time I had a temper-tantrum and I happened to bring it to school, bitch wouldn't leave the classroom without being banged against a couple walls at least.

So anyway, it's time to leave and I'm probably making my best impression of a radiation nuke alert going off; my dad's not having it tho — he tells me we're going home. I just wail harder.

Ofc, because he's himself and raised on a different mentality (not an excuse, just an explanation; don't lay harming hands on your kids ppl) he spanks me.

My answer?? I ran beneath the fucking school bus.

NOBODY could get me from beneath that bitch — my dad moved around that thing and I just scurried to the other side like an overzealous lizard, or maybe a rabid and feral raccoon; my grandma didn't even dare intervene, she knew this was a hopeless endeavor.

It took my mom noticing from her at-the-time job — which was close-by so she could sort-of see what was happening — to start leaving and think huh, the school bus ain't going home yet. wonder what's happening to get my havoc-wrecking ass hauled back home.

As my mom oh-so-eloquently put it: "she didn't even wanna go home with (dad), she had a murderous look every time the idea was brought up."

I was apparently basically UNINTELLIGIBLE when explaining the situation STILL FROM BENEATH THE FUCKING SCHOOL BUS, so the convo was something like:

Mom: what happened? Why are you beneath the school bus sweety??

Me: little child rabid noises, crying and screeching, it vaguely sounds like a velociraptor screaming actually

Mom: ok, and what did daddy do?

Me: even more unintelligible screeching oh my god is that even a language???

So yea, I was a rabid little preschooler huh

I honestly think we've reached absolute Pit Social Media when the images of deceased infants get meme-ed around because "lololol IT looks so stupid IT looks so fake IT is obviously a doll haha let's have some fun here hahaha". And they know dead bodies only from how they're made to look in movies OR maybe open-casket funerals where a mortician worked their ass off for the family to have a pretty corpse to say their goodbyes to.

I. Honestly.

I can't even wrap my mind around how devoid of humanity some people are. All of this has really opened my eyes about the people around me.

Tell them - and they don't even know what death looks like - that a real human person in distress is "actually an actor/a prop/a doll" and they're meme-ing the shit out of anh atrocity.

That's how corpses become internet fun memes. A big party for everyone. Because we're upholding CiViLiSaTiOn here and sHoWiNg ThEm TeRroRiStS.

As a kid, I was stupid enough to ask myself, how could anyone stand by when the Holocaust happen.

Now I know the people around us wouldn't only stand by, they would cheerfully join in AND make socmed memes about it. Because "hahaha those aren't real people, it's all a big movie stage - and if they were real, they'd DESERVE it".

I can't go back to seeing people like I did before.

The context of my comment was: how do we stop the genocide if biden gets reelected, assassination? Because boycotts, protests, etc haven't been doing it. Reporting me to the FBI for wanting genocide to stop is... quite fascist. But remember, love always wins!
