I think it's interesting when a character is inspired by another character but also coexist with them

Examples

Nearly every superhero universe has it's own version of Superman and DC has either crossed over or bought those universes meaning Superman coexist with Shazam, Apollo, Hyperion and many more.

In the Simpsons Rainier Wolfcastle is a parody of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold is mentioned in the episode Radioactive Man which features Rainier. Arnold would also appear in the movie looking near identical to Rainier and being played by his actor Harry Shearer.

In Coco Ernesto De La Cruz is based on both Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete who Ernesto bumps into at a party.

Rocky Balboa is partially based on both Rocky Marciano who he has a poster of and Joe Frazier who wishes Rocky luck.

Vecna in Stranger Things is based on Freddy Kruger and Dustin compare the two
