What I love is the Austen adaptations, the North and Souths, Belle, anything, essentially, where I'm likely to get some combination of pretty dresses and a love story. I'm not as much here for War Movies, your 1917s and Dunkirks and such, I'm sure they're very well-made and everything, but they're not really my scene.

I was going to say that getting into Historical Costuming YouTube over the past few years made me pickier, but that isn't really true? Sure, I'll yell about chemises under corsets and Cressida's whole wardrobe on Bridgerton all day, but that's a part of liking it, not a detraction*.

*Though now that I say that, I don't think I consider Bridgerton a period piece. Regency romances are already a very specific genre of fantasy, and Bridgerton even more so.

It was a famous scene from the Tale: Commentaries during a Rainy Night.

Having witnessed a scene that had never existed in any era, Kasen Kanesada and the others take stock of their current situation. This was a world where "history" and "story" were reversed.
