٧ رمضان ١٤٤٥هـ

إياكَ أن تحزن على فوات الأشياء!

هناك فرص كان لابد وأن تضيع، لأنها لو لم تَضِع لَضِعتَ أنت✨

There is a huge difference between someone who can forgive, and someone who loves to forgive. We probably know a few individuals who can easily forgive others, but is there anyone we know who simply loves forgiving others?

And the ones who easily forgive — if people make mistakes ten times, twenty times, thirty times — are they still going to keep on forgiving? If people steal from you repeatedly, disrespect you repeatedly, betray you repeatedly — as normal human beings who are not prophets, it’s literally impossible to keep on forgiving those who keep wronging us.

But our Rabb, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, loves to forgive. LOVES!

🌺 ❛Allahumma innaka ‘Afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘Afwa, fa’fu ‘anni.❜ 🌿 Allahumma, You are Most Forgiving, You LOVE to forgive, so forgive me.

And to Allah belongs the best example. So know that no matter how much we’ve erred, no matter how many sins we did, we have Al-’Afuww Who is ready and loves to completely forgive, erase and wipe our record clean, as long as we return to Him in sincere repentance. On the night in which our supplications are most accepted, where we can ask absolutely anything from Allah, He wants us to prioritise in seeking His Forgiveness — of which He loves to grant.

Have you been supplicating the Laylatul-Qadr du’a every night? This is a reminder to keep on supplicating the du’a as much as we can, in shaa Allah. Keep this beautiful supplication close to our hearts and lips, and have husnu-dhan billah (think well of Allah) that He will grant us His ‘afuww.

Earning Allah’s Forgiveness will earn us His Rida. And earning Allah’s Rida is our ultimate success.

Maybe your Ramadan was uneven. Maybe your du'as were stuck. Maybe you weren't the best you could be. It doesn't matter. Allah is al-Fattah; He could reward your hope in Him & refusal to give up by opening your heart during the last du'a at the last maghrib of Ramadan. Keep going till the end!

رمضان هو الشهر التاسع في التقويم الإسلامي لدراسة القرآن والصلاة والصيام، وهو يحدث خلال الشهر الذي يعتقد المسلمون أن القرآن بدأ فيه نزوله على النبي محمد.

قضيت وقتا في رسم رمضان بالدات والماء والفانوس، كان وقتا رائعا واستمتعت أيضا بحياتي بدون موسيقى

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar studying of the Quran, Prayer and Fasting it occurs during the month in which Muslims believe the Quran began to be revealed to the Prophet Muhammad

٢٥ رمضان ١٤٤٥هـ

‏اللهم أغدق علينا من فضلك وأنزل علينا من بركاتك وأكرمنا بقبول الدعاء وصلاح العمل، واجعلنا ممن حسنت سيرتهم واستمر أجرهم في حياتهم وبعد مماتهم.

In the Laylatul-Qadr du’a, ever wonder why Rasulullah salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam said:

❛Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul ‘afwa, fa'fu anni❜ and not: Allahumma innaka ghafoorun, tuhibbul maghfirah, faghfir li?

The word ghafoor / maghfirah is often translated as ‘forgive’ too, so what’s the difference between maghfirah and ‘afuw?

🌺 Maghfirah means that Allah will forgive us, and won’t punish us for our sins. But those sins will still be confronted and reminded about on the Day of Judgement. If someone forgave our mistakes, but reminded us every excruciating detail of it, wouldn’t we still be really embarrassed? No sane person would want anyone to remember his shortcomings.

🌺 ‘Afuw means completely erased. The Arabs would say: “The wind has ‘afuw (wiped away) the traces”, meaning people can’t tell if somebody has walked on that path or not. The trace is completely gone.

And so when we ask ‘afuw from Allah, we’re not only asking Him to forgive us 🌿 but to also erase completely all of our sins 🌿 to not leave any single trace behind 🌿 to not be reminded of the mistakes we did.

Because how crushing would a believer feel when he is reminded of his sins in front of the Rabb of all worlds?

May Al-’Afuww write as amongst those who are completely forgiven by Him.
