Strangers Again is a oneshot wherein an 7-8 months pregnant Donna runs into Randy at a gas station. I have a lot of this already written. See below the cut for a sneak peak. 😀

“You know, none of this was… planned…” She trailed off, cupping her baby bump by way of explanation.

Randy nodded. 

“Yeah,” he said softly. “I figured.”

“You’re a really nice guy, Randy,” Donna said, her voice suddenly breaking with emotion. She wasn’t sure why. She didn't owe him anything. “I - I wasn’t trying to hurt you - ”

“You didn’t,” Randy assured her, chuckling softly. He cut himself off after a moment, frowning. “I mean, have I ever been dumped by a girl before? No,” he answered his own question. “Did it hurt my feelings?” He hesitated, and glanced at her with wide, emotive eyes. “Okay, a little bit, yes.”

Donna made a noise in the back of her throat like she was going to start crying, and Randy lifted his voice, continuing.

“But I lived to tell the tale, and I’m a better man for it. That’s what Cosmo said.” He gave her his easy-going, lopsided grin. 

Donna gave a warbled laugh. “So now you’re…” she trailed off uncertainly.

“Living in Iowa.” He smirked at the look on her face. “It’s not glamorous, but shit, it’s better than Wisconsin.”

They shared a laugh, an easy laugh, and for a moment it felt just like old times. When they were friends.
