A little self-indulgent comic I made to cope with A New Wish's season finale. SPOILERS

The night after watching the episode, I immediately thought scenarios for Dev and Peri to reunite. I already liked Hazel's and Dev's friendship, but him getting Peri honestly made things more interesting since he'll get more involved in the show.

Dev losing Peri devastated me, since that also meant losing his memory. I was kind of expecting it due knowing the other show the writers worked on (Infinity Train, which I love). This is the second season finale to mess me up this much, in fact.

This was the first scenario I came up with, based on other's ideas on how Peri could be present to Dev as a human. I also added the theory that Dev didn't get his memory erased. I made Peri wear something that fitted the role of babysitter (in my opinion). An alternative would be Dale's new assistant/intern, in which he'll used the same clothes as his fairy form, but with a bow tie and the wand pen.

I sort of rushed the dialogue and made it quite cheesy near the end. I didn't want it to be too long as I want to make more fan art for the show, but also finish my months long project.

Another scenario I liked was that Dev (with memories intact) is secretly sabotaging Project H and his selfless deeds allow him to get Peri back, may be after a legal dispute in the Fairy Court.

I think by the time he was born the printing press had been around for almost a century and a half, so I'd reckon the society as a whole was largely past it's initial novelty and controversy. Machete himself is bookish and nerdy, he's very invested in gathering knowledge about various topics and trying to piece together a good picture of how the world works. Getting access to reading material would be a lot harder if every book was still copied individually by hand. His standards are pretty high though, there's a lot of poorly translated, shoddily printed and flimsily bound books around and he's prone to scrunching his nose at them.

World Event: For Want of a Bloom!

— London is abuzz in the coming weeks: The Drifting Kingdom of Anther has been sighted yet again! Great clusters of Lanternfruit, each the size of an airship, drift ever closer to the southern edge of the Zee. Anther will remain for a short time before it drifts further south, to bask under the light of Stone one again. Petals of all types paint the Zee as Anther completes its lap of the Elder Continent. Fantastical stories of Anther have spread like pollen through a spring breeze - the flying kingdom’s flora is the stuff of legend, flowers immune to decay in hues that would put any Surface gardener to shame. Even salvaged petals, dried and pressed, will fetch their weight in gold in London… but more daring Londoners have taken up the duty of scaling Anther’s root covered walls to collect fresh blossoms and cuttings. It’s dangerous work, fending off killer flora, extreme altitudes, and the roaming groups of Antheri citizens who consider it a beloved national pastime to bat thieving guests off the edge of their city. Surely, this cannot be worth it, all for a few flowers…?

@violant-apologia ‘s post inspired me to write up some more details on my fan Presbyterate kingdom: Anther, the city of flowers! The floating city frequently drifts out to open waters to hydrate the massive, correspondence infused Lanternfruit that keep it aloft. During this time, Londoners love to steal some of those beautiful flowers off the city, where they’re used for dyes, poisons, academic study, and just having the best look of 99’. Anther… really doesn’t mind this as much as it should. After all, they’re just flowers. This is the equivalent of someone robbing your grandma’s garden… and chasing Londoners around for a bit of blood sport is pretty fun!

-She’s very aggressive/animal like. I think her running animation would have her be on all fours🔥🔥 (I was gonna try to draw that but too harddd)

-something messed up one of her eyes that’s why she’s got bad eyesight. If the faces in dw were animated her messed up eye would probably twitch a lot from irritation (I got the idea from Flutter’s old twisted design. If u don’t know what it looks like it’s on the DW wiki)

-she’s likee a little bit slower than twisted glisten (yeah she’s that fast she’s been sleeping for a while now she’s saved up a lotta energy)

-when Dolly’s hostile mode is triggered a jingle noise will be heard from her (the bell on her bow. I could’ve added that to the canvas but I forgot and I’m too lazy to change it now)

-the plushie.. nap spot thing isn’t as big as like rnd circle but it can take up a narrow hallway

if im thrifting and i see a cute cheap item in decent condition idc if its from forever 21 or h&m like whatever the brand doesnt matter to me if its fucking second hand… it is such virtue signaling to see these ig thrift accounts act excited about something only to “reveal” the tag to be a bad brand and then put it back on the rack as if they’re tainted by it lmfao… like yall do realize it ceases to be fast fashion once its resold and that you are not putting money in forever 21’s pockets by reusing an item that has already been made…
