Who's the cutest, the friendliest, the grumpiest, the skrunkliest? Does Orange subscribe to r/oneorangebraincell??

⌞♥⌝ Coconut is Elanor's favourite because she's the most affectionate with people and doesn't mind being petted. She's also the pickiest when it comes to eating, and will only eat her food if it's on the counter closest to the fridge. Put her bowl on the floor and she'll refuse to acknowledge it.

Orange isn't the skrunliest (that's Cocoa), but she's definitely the soggiest — given how often she likes to stand in the shower while Elanor is in there. And because Orange is the only cat who's allowed trusted to go outside unsupervised, she also brings home the most random items and leaves them on Elanor's pillow as a surprise.

Cocoa breaks the sound barrier whenever she's within earshot of a bag opening and will quite literally jump anyone who isn't Elanor. She's since had her nails trimmed and put in the cone of shame after getting tangled up in Kiara's luggage and tearing up their clothes.

slowly comes into his own over the years, with his softer side finally showing itself mainly when Aurene chooses him

this rat was the softest little guy wherever she was concerned

no seriously he was almost as clingy with her as she was

Caithe was the serious parent he was the fun uncle/big bro

he used to race her up the jumping puzzle in the egg room

largely wanted her to get to have the childhood he never did

he still play-wrestled with her even once she was 1000x his size

his bond to Aurene helps stabilize his magic significantly

there is an inverted bell-curve of 'respect for the Commander' based on how much experience one has with him

step 1: celebrity hero. step 2: violently insane. step 3: ok yes he's insane but also thank every divinity he's on OUR side

actually did NOT get along with Gorrik at first. he is a grade A projector and also distrusts anyone Inquest immediately

Gorrik being enamored by the murderous beetles did not help.

after multiple interventions and a few sincere heart-to-hearts though he's become EXTREMELY protective of the guy

similarly protective of Taimi, though he teases her back too

genuinely struggles to keep track of things. he writes out the canon story journal in a small notebook to help with that

consistently chooses ferocity-aligned dialogue options even and especially when he has absolutely no good reason to do so

... as the title says, I was all relaxed thinking "Ahh, made it to page 50, just in time for the end of year break!" And then forgot to actually announce it. I'M THE GREATEST COMIC MAKING ANNOUNCING RAT THERE EVER WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST AT IT!!! (weeping quietly about my failings) For real though, thank you everyone, I'm stoked as hell to get to the next parts of this (very long) chapter. We'll return after the holidays, BUT! I'm not going anywhere, I'll still be answering your asks (and drawing replies to a few of them) and I've got the brand new tarot painting coming (as well the next poll, though like I said before, I'm tempted to just make the executive decision for it to be Audun) Oh, and I'm ...very glad! you all like Thackery so much. I'd been shocked by the reception he had in chapter 0 and laughed to myself "well, they'll be glad to know he comes back"...but i wasn't expecting just how glad. Did I mention he has a whole family?
