listening to speak now for the first time in your very early teenage years worrying about growing up and now listening to the re-recording as a 20 something who still worries about growing up is a special kind of pain

I hope as more re-recordings come out, the world doesn’t forget about the power behind their meaning— a woman reclaiming her life’s work, life’s story, and success from men who sought to exploit her for their personal gain.

"We Are the World" is a classic song that was originally recorded in 1985 by a supergroup of famous musicians called USA for Africa. The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and it was released to raise funds for humanitarian aid in Africa. It is one of my favorite songs out there, and I will always love it, but I can't help but wonder what it would sound like with artists from today... And I wish to hear it one day.
If the song were to be re-recorded with famous present-day artists, the lineup could include artists such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Adele, Drake, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, and many others who are currently popular in the music industry. The exact lineup would depend on who is available and interested in participating in such a project. Each artist would bring their unique style and voice to the song, giving it a fresh interpretation while maintaining its message of unity and compassion.
I honestly believe this song should be recorded again and again. We have the 1985 original song, we could have the one from present day, and a couple years down the line, the same song but with famous artists from our future and so on...
I think its message should be heard again and again. Am I the only one thinking about this?
What would your hypothetical lineup be?

my taylor's version theory
hi hello i've been wanting to share this thought for SO LONG but never found a safe place to and now i think i can finally put it out there:
i don't think speak now and fearless were snobbed on their taylor's versions because i think for those eras the vaults that we got were extensions of things she did say to us in some capacity
HOWEVER, on both red an 1989 eras she didn't say everything she wanted for a number of reasons, number 1 being that she was being hated on for simply breathing
that's why we feel like red and 1989 had more time to shine, because she was dying to say things she didn't feel like she could back then, and she can now
ok it's out of my chest thank you i'd love to hear your thoughts bye be kind

sorry but anyone who thinks we’re getting reputation tv before debut tv just can’t read patterns (and i say this as a reputation girlie)
so far we’ve gotten country, pop, country, pop. we’ve also gotten small rollout, big rollout, small rollout, big rollout
out of the two that are left, taylor’s gonna prioritize promoting rep over self titled because she knows it’s more popular, so it follows both patterns
it makes no sense to do rep before debut because most people don’t care about her first album (even tho they should) and the hype for the taylor’s versions will die down before it comes out. however, if debut comes out first, it’ll increase hype for rep tv because we’ll know it’s next since it’s the only one left, and reputation is a lot more popular
from a marketing perspective, it only makes sense for taylor swift (taylor’s version) to be the next re record

It will never not be funny to me that any time now Taylor Swift could decide to drop Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) and not only is that grammatically correct but it will also make sense to millions of people
