Isaac Lahey x Reader : Theft Of The Heart
Tumblr media
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Story Summary: You are new at the Beacon Hills High school and catch the attention of a certain lacrosse player. Being too shy to interact properly leads to awkward situations.
Notes: This was in my WIPs for so long omg.
Word count of this fic: 2.6K words. One-shot.
Warnings: None. It’s funny (I hope)  fluff.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It was the first day at a new school after having moved to Beacon Hills with your family two weeks ago.
After one week, you were already hired at a small local grocery store.
Today was the start of a new direction in life and it was nerve wracking.
Making friends at a new school was never easy, but at Beacon Hill’s High you were rather quickly approached by Lydia who was now sitting next to you on the tribunes watching the lacrosse game.
You didn’t know who to cheer for, only knew to cheer for the ones wearing Beacon Hills uniforms.
Lydia did try to point at some players and name them, saying they were friends of her.
But they ran across the field constantly, so you barely had a chance to really spot them. You had to strain your eyes to be able to follow the game.
She on the other hand seemed to focus all her attention on player twenty-four.
You just tried to keep your eyes on who had the ball in their possession.
Player fourteen was running towards the opponent’s goal.
“Lydia, I think that one is going to score.” You nudged her arm and she snapped her attention to the player running at the goal.
Isaac had the ball and was running towards the goal of the opponents, his team mates where giving him cover. He was sure of victory, that was until he saw a new face sitting on the tribunes watching the game.
A pretty face…
It was too late to avoid the collision with a player from the other team and he ended up taking a fall.
The ball and victory was lost.
Scott hurried over to his fallen friend.
“What are you doing?! Did you fall asleep or something?” Scott helped him up from the ground.
Isaac mumbled the excuse “I tripped.”
“You alright?” Scott scanned him for injuries.
“Yeah…” Isaac nodded, attention continuously darting to the tribunes.
Scott snapped his fingers in front of his face “Hey, heads up. Keep your mind on the game.”
Isaac pulled his eyes away from the tribunes and tried to focus on what his friend was telling him “Got it.”
Scott patted him on the shoulder “Alright, cover me.”
                                                            ∘°∘♡∘°∘
At lunch, Scott noticed the way his friend’s attention kept being pulled to you sitting at a table with some of the other new students.
He nudged his elbow with his own, Isaac looked a little startled at Scott.
“What?” Isaac asked him a little agitated that he was pulled out of his daydreaming.
Scott just gave him a knowing look, trying his hardest not to laugh even just a little at Isaac’s reaction.
“She’s new.” Scott opened the door to the conversation.
Isaac cleared his throat, suddenly trying very hard not to look in your direction again “Who’s new?”
Scott snorted, shaking his head as he deadpanned “The girl that cost us a point in the game.”
Isaac frowned at him before he realized what Scott was really trying to say “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, please. You’ve been staring at her since the second you saw her sitting in the tribunes with Lydia. Don’t even try to deny it.” Scott chuckled at his friend’s desperate attempt to hide the instant interest Isaac had for you.
“I’m not staring at her.” He bit the words at Scott and looked around him to see if no one was listening in on their conversation “..I thought I recognized her from somewhere. That’s all.”
“Yeah. You recognized her from when you let the other team knock you to the ground because you were too focused on her instead of the game.” Scott could tell with ease that Isaac was trying to bullshit his way out of this.
Isaac finally snapped “Okay, fine! Maybe I was looking at her, so what?”
“Go talk to her.” Scott said as if it was that simple.
Isaac lowered his voice “What?! No way.”
Now that Scott had him confessing, he wasn’t going to let it go so quickly “Why not?”
Isaac spoke fast, anxiety laced in his voice “Because I don’t know her. I don’t even know her name, what would I even say?”
“Ask for her name.” Scott said casually.
Isaac scoffed and turned away from him “You’re no help.”
“Chicken.” Scott muttered quietly, knowing damn well that Isaac could still pick up on it.
Isaac was about to reply when he saw you stand up from your seat at the table and walk in their direction. He felt himself freeze up completely, Scott’s eyes darted between you and Isaac as you walked past their table while chatting with one of the other new girls.
It was then that Scott failed to hold his quiet laughter at seeing Isaac look at you like a deer in headlights.
His poor friend seemed so rattled by your presence at the school that it made Isaac fall completely silent the closer you got to him.
A little help would be needed.
                                                                ∘°∘♡∘°∘
The days flew by, it was weekend before you knew it.
The place you worked at in the weekends was a small but busy shop. The work that had to be done everyday surpassed the staff that was available. In other words, you spend your time constantly hurrying from one chore to the other.
You were stocking the shelves while keeping an eye on the checkout area.
You often were so concentrated that you kind of zoned out sometimes, it was why you had failed to see him approach you.
“Hi…” His voice pulled you out of your concentration.
You turned and your eyes met with a pair of blue ones. You fumbled with the box containing a piece of soap as you were faced with someone you had seen around school before but had never talked to.
You knew he was handsome, but having him stand so close to you made you realize how truly good looking he actually was.
The tall, curly haired, blue eyed boy. The sight of him was enough for you to develop a small crush.
“Hi…” You greeted him after composing yourself, he was still a customer “Can I help you?”
He nodded, appearing a little nervous “Uh yeah, I’m looking for the…the uh…”
Another guy approached, one who’s name you thought was Scott, if you had heard Lydia right…
Scott looked at his struggling friend deciding to end this struggle “He’s looking for the feminine hygiene section.”
“Oh.” You believed it was why he had looked so nervous “Please, follow me. I’ll show you where it is.”
They both walked at a distance behind you and you were unaware of how Scott smacked a hand against Isaac’s shoulder and gestured in your direction.
Isaac quickly looked in your direction hoping you hadn’t noticed it before he glared at his friend.
“Here it is.” You stopped in front of the shelves filled with the many products “Anything else I can help you with?”
You were already starting to turn away, ready to go back to the work you were doing.
Scott saw Isaac struggle to find a good excuse to make you stay around them a little longer.
“Uhm… I uh…” He stammered again.
You waited patiently for him to form a sentence.
Scott sighed before speaking up again “Could you help us find the tampons?”
Isaac’s eyes snapped to Scott, why couldn’t he ask you to help him find anything else in this store?
He never should have mentioned to Scott that he thought you were pretty. But then again, Scott had probably noticed days ago when he caught him staring at you on the field. It was why he had collided with a player from the opposite team.
“It’s for a friend.” Isaac cleared his throat, not daring to look you in the eye.
“Sweet of you to come and buy it for them.” You send him a smile.
At that his eyes found yours, even though he felt very embarrassed, seeing your smile made him less self-conscious about all of this.
                                                               ∘°∘♡∘°∘
“The women’s hygiene section?!?” Isaac snapped at Scott the second he walked out the store.
Scott snorted at his reaction “What? Girls like a guy who is comfortable buying that sort of stuff.”
“Thanks a lot.” Isaac huffed.
Scott shrugged his shoulders, a quiet laugh escaped “Not my fault you failed to think of a better excuse to talk to her. Besides, she said it was sweet.”
It got on Isaac’s already delicate nerves “Yeah, well, now she’ll think this ‘friend’ is someone I’m dating. Ever think of that?”
Scott waved it away “You know what? Now that you know where she works, you can talk to her yourself. Just think of some question about a product and go ask her for help.”
He wasn’t sure of the plan “She’ll think I’m stalking her.”
Scott saw right through all the excuses of his shy friend “Isaac… it’s a shop. People go in there and ask questions every day. You’re not the only one, okay?”
                                                               ∘°∘♡∘°∘
On Sunday, you were sticking security stickers on the more expensive items in the store. Everything over nine dollars needed one to prevent it from being stolen.
The door of the store opened and in walked the handsome boy you had barely been able to talk to yesterday. Maybe you could at least find out his name today.
With one of the make-up mirrors up for sale, you quickly inspected your appearance before placing it back.
You were in the corner where the make-up was and saw him walk in your direction, stop and then walk the other way.
Oh…
Was he too shy? Or just not interested?
With the roll of security stickers in your hand, a plan formed.
You took one sticker off the roll and waited until he was looking at something. When he was looking at cereals, you walked past him and stuck the sticker to the elbow of his sleeve without stopping.
A customer was waiting at the register and it was the perfect excuse to have walked past him.
You rang up their items and helped the old lady put them in her bag, then handed it to her “Here you go, thank you and have a nice day.”
The lady gave a broad smile and left with her groceries.
Before you could leave the register, the handsome boy walked up and placed a single box of cereals on the counter.
“Good morning.” You made an effort to give him your sweetest smile.
He blinked a few times before finding his voice “Uh…good morning.”
That shy smile of his was adorable…
You accidentally knocked over the box and he reached for it at the same time as you.
His hand landed on yours, you froze, he froze…
With a nervous laugh, you broke the awkward tension and he quickly withdrew his hand.
“Sorry, I’m clumsy.” You apologized and rang up the box of cereals.
“It’s fine. So, am I.” He said.
You had grown quite nervous and felt yourself withdraw in your shell of shyness “That will be three dollars, please.”
He pulled some coins from his pockets and put them on the counter for you to count.
After counting them, you picked the change up and offered it to him “Your change.”
“Ah, nah. Uhm, you can keep it.” He was nearly caught staring a you.
“You sure?” You asked.
He gave a nod “Yeah.”
You smiled at him, appreciating the kind gesture “Thanks. I hope you have a good day.”
Poor Isaac was trying to think of something to say and when that didn’t work, he replied “Thanks. You too.”
There you stood, watching him head for the door, the boy who’s name you still didn’t know…
And then, the alarm of the store went off.
Oh, gosh…
You had almost forgotten about the security sticker and hurried over to him.
He looked ridiculously nervous and you felt a pang of guilt.
Even when he was sure he had not stolen a thing, Isaac began to search his pockets “Ah, crap…”
Oh, no…
“Oh! Wait… hold on for a sec…” You quickly pulled the tag from his sleeve, holding it up for him to see.
Realization dawned on him “That’s what set the alarm off? I don’t know how it got on me…”
You smiled like a sinner in church “Oh…it happens all the time here.”
He quirked a brow at you “Oh. Weird.”
“Anyway… sorry for bothering you. I hope I’ll see you in the store again and that this didn’t scare you off.” You stammered nervously.
He nodded quickly, a shy smile growing on his face “Yeah. Don’t worry, you’ll see me again.”
You nodded nervously, feeling like a fool for doing all this.
“I’m Isaac.” He suddenly blurted out and held out his hand.
You blinked twice before you took his hand in yours and shook it “Y/n.”
He looked almost flustered now “Nice to meet you. I wanted to get a chance to talk to you but I didn’t mean for it to happen like this.”
Did he think that you believed he would stick a security sticker on himself to get your attention? This was getting more and more ridiculous.
“I uh…” You stammered.
“Sorry if this is weird or something, I just-” He sounded so timid and sweet.
“I stuck the sticker on you.” You finally confessed.
Isaac frowned for a second “Why would you-… oh.”
A smirk spread across his face “So instead of trying a pick up line, you try to frame me for theft?”
“No! No, of course not I was just shy and stupid and -” You covered your face with your hands in shame.
He chuckled at your reaction “Don’t worry. It worked.”
What?
WHAT?!?
You couldn’t believe your shenanigans had actually worked on him.
The relief you felt was instant and you hoped to break the ice completely “But if you want a cheesy pick up line…we are supposed to tag everything above nine dollars. So I guess that means you’re a ten.”
His mouth was a little agape now and he chuckled “That uh… that’s not bad.”
You hummed in agreement.
Isaac scrambled all his courage together “Now that we’re on the topic of numbers… what’s yours?”
Your smile could not have been broader, you couldn’t believe that someone as cute as him would ask for your number.
Then you quickly looked around you for a piece of paper and a pen “Hang on… I’ll write it down for you.”
Isaac realized you were looking for something to write your number down on. He quickly took his phone from his pocket.
“Here. You can put it in my phone…if you want?” He clumsily handed you his phone, almost dropping it twice.
You gladly took the phone from him and added your number to his contact list, then handed him back the phone “Here you go.”
It was as if he couldn’t believe you had actually given him your number “Thanks…I’ll call you soon.”
You truly hoped he was being honest and that he would actually call you.
The both of you were suddenly interrupted when your boss asked you why you weren’t busy doing your job at the moment.
So you said a quick goodbye to Isaac and got back to work.
You were waiting for the familiar ringtone all day, waiting for his call.
Only at ten that evening did Isaac find enough courage to call and ask you out.
And of course, you said yes.

Being a girl is: wanting to go to bed early but deciding to just get on tumblr/wattpad/Ao3 for a little bit and then end up finding a fic series that you really like and read until well past your usual bedtime then keeping on because it’s already past your bedtime. Then being mad when you wake up in the morning because you overslept your timer.

Killer Duo - Isaac Lahey
Summary: Lydia’s throwing a Halloween party and your costume coordinates with Isaac’s
Isaac Lahey x Reader
Word Count: 1,591
Author’s Note: Apparently this was in my drafts in 2019 and I finished it in 2020. Why it never got posted, I’m not sure. The timing of this is funny cause I’m currently at work dressed as the character Isaac is dressed as. Anyway, reblogs and comments are appreciated. Happy Halloween!
Tumblr media
“Lydia, I haven’t dressed up for Halloween since I was 12,” you said walking around looking at all the creepy Halloween decorations.
“And this is a costume party. You have to dress up or you can’t go,” Lydia replied walking in front of you heading straight for the costumes.
“I have no idea what I should be. And most Halloween costumes for women are sexy now, which really means they’re short and inappropriate, and I am not doing that.”
The strawberry blonde rolled her eyes. “You haven’t even looked at any costumes yet and your already jumping to conclusions.”
“I’m just pointing out facts. Halloween used to be fun, then I grew up.”
“And now you’re at the age where you can dress up again,” Lydia smiled at you. “There’s just no candy this time.”
“So what’s the point,” you joked.
“Just come on,” Lydia said grabbing your arm pulling you towards the superhero costumes first.
The two of you began to look through the racks of clothes. You ran a mental checklist of everything that wouldn’t work for you.
Batgirl? No.
Iron Man? No.
Elastigirl? Hell no.
“Oh, what about Wonder Woman,” Lydia asked holding up the iconic armor for you to see.
“Ehh,” you said fidgeting on your feet, “I don’t feel comfortable having my ass out.”
“Okay,” Lydia said sighing at how difficult you were making this. She stood next to you scanning the the other costumes in the superhero section and decided you were going to like any of them.
“What about a witch,” she asked.
“I guess I could be that,” you replied halfheartedly.
“No, I don’t want you buying something you don’t love. That’s the number one rule in fashion.”
“Lydia, why don’t you just look for your costume and I’ll find mines. I don’t want you to keep pulling outfits and I hate them all.”
Lydia turned and faced you. “Honey, I bought my costume weeks ago. No one is going to be wearing the same thing as me at my own party.”
You chuckled, shaking your head. “Duh, I should have known you already had your costume ready to go.”
“Yes, so this trip is all about you, my dear,” Lydia said tapping you on the nose making you smile.
“Fine,” you replied. “Well, let’s go look at something a little more spookier then.”
_____________
“Barbie, eat your heart out.”
Lydia walked up behind you in the mirror and nodded. “You look good.”
“I look killer,” you laughed and Lydia smiled shaking her head.
You looked at yourself in the mirror admiring your white dress, leather jacket, and combat boots. You grabbed your eyeliner pencil and added the final touch. Tiffany’s mole.
Perfect.
As soon as you saw the Bride of Chucky costume, you knew you needed it. Lydia was just happy you didn’t go with Chucky so you didn’t mess up her bathroom adding all the wounds and fake blood on your face.
About an hour later, the party was well under way and you already made your first rounds with Lydia. Now she off doing other hostess duties and you were people watching against the wall.
You saw Isaac across the room and smiled to yourself. You excused yourself through the crowd as you made your way across the room.
“Hey, Isaac. Nice costume,” you greeted, looking up at the tall burette in front of you. Well, he wasn’t brunette right now. He was wearing a red wig and a pair of Good Guys overalls. You snickered to yourself. Of course the guy you had a crush on would be dressed up as Chucky. He was basically the salt to your pepper.
“Thanks,” Isaac said, a grin lining his face. “And you are a... biker bride?”
You looked at Isaac confused and shocked. “You’re kidding me, right?”
“What,” Isaac smiled confused at your response. “Should I know who you are?”
“Yes,” you said laughing. You gawked at him as you held up your plastic bloody knife and pointed to your “Tiff” necklace. His eyebrow furrowed in confusion.
“I’m Tiffany...”
Isaac shook his head still lost.
“The Bride of Chucky...”
“Sorry. Still don’t know who that is.”
“Oh my God. Isaac, how are you dressed up as Chucky but don’t know who Tiffany is?”
Isaac shrugged. “Honestly, I wasn’t planning on wearing a costume, but Lydia said I had to, then showed up to Scott’s house with this.”
You shook your head, laughing to yourself. “Of course she did.”
“Am I missing something,” Isaac asked wanting in on the joke.
“Lydia knew I was dressing up as Tiffany and she made you be Chucky... we’re basically a couple’s costume.”
“We are,” Isaac asked, his eyebrow raised and smirk slowly growing on his face.
“Uhh, I- I mean sorta,” you replied fidgeting where you stood. “Especially, now when we’re standing next to each other.”
Isaac took a step closer to you. “So I guess I better keep you close then.”
You’re eyes grew big but before you could response you were interrupted.
“There you two are,” Lydia said walking up to you and Isaac. Her blonde ponytail wig bouncing with each step she took. She definitely was the only I Dream of Jeannie here. You doubted if most of the party even knew who she was, but they all knew she looked good. “Well don’t you look cozy together.”
“Lydia,” you said a little too sweetly for anyone’s liking. “I hear we have you to thank for Isaac’s costume.”
“What,” Lydia asked like she didn’t basically have you and Isaac in a couple’s costume. “I couldn’t have him come to my Halloween party not dressed up.”
“Yeah, sure,” you scoffed crossing your arms over your chest.
“Anyway, everyone’s outside so we can take a group pic before anyone is too intoxicated to do it later.”
“Lydia,” Stiles yelped running up. “Oh, hey guys,” he said waving to you and Isaac. You smiled and waved back before he began talking to Lydia. He was dressed up as Captain Tony Nelson, the perfect couple’s costume to Lydia’s Jeannie. “Um, so, I may or may not have gotten my Captain’s hat stuck on the roof... okay I definitely did. But it was Scott’s fault!”
“Seriously, Stiles,” Lydia fumed. “God,” she whispered under her breath shaking her head before turning to you. “Give it about ten minutes before the picture so I can get his hat down.”
You laughed nodding your head. “Okay.”
The couple walked away, leaving you alone with Isaac. “Um, I’m going to go get something to drink. See you outside in ten?”
“Yeah,” Isaac said, giving you a slow and sexy smile.
You turned and headed for the kitchen, letting out a long breath as you did. Isaac’s whole existence was driving you crazy. Although you did like the blue eyed boy, and you’ve been wanting something to happen for a while, he was making you incredibly nervous. You’d rather avoid him instead of potential embarrassing yourself.
After you filled your red solo cup with the fruity punch being served, one of your classmates came up to you.
“Hey Y/N, cute costume.”
“Thanks!”
“I didn’t know you and Isaac were a thing.”
“Huh,” you asked confused.
“The couple’s costume,” they said hesitantly. “Chucky and Tiffany.”
“Ohh, duh” you said to yourself when you realized. “We’re not dating. We just happened to wear costumes that went together.”
“Oh... well, the two of you look good together,” they said shrugging then walked away.
All your friends were already outside ready to take the picture. Lydia handed her phone to the designated photographer, then went to stand next to Stiles. Scott was in the middle, with Kira next to him. Malia was next to Kira, while Stiles and Lydia were on the other side of Scott. You stood next to Malia, throwing your arm over your friend’s shoulder. Isaac stood near Stiles.
After two pics were snapped, Lydia went to check the photos. She grabbed her phone, then looked up at the group. “Somethings not right...,” she said out loud, thinking to herself. “I know!” She grabbed Isaac by his arm and pulled him over to where you were standing. “That’s better. You’re costumes go together, so it makes sense,” she said smiling. She mumbled a quick you’re welcome to you before she handed the camera back over and went back to her place next to Stiles.
The person taking the pictures counted down “3, 2, 1,” then snapped a pic. But before you got to one, Isaac grabbed you by the waist and pulled you into him. You shrieked in response then started laughing.
“Okay, now a funny one,” Scott yelled so everyone could hear.
Isaac didn’t hesitate, quickly picking you up bridal style. You yelped, then immediately stuck your tongue out at him. Lydia’s phone flashed as the picture was taken, then everyone stopped doing their poses, but Isaac didn’t put you down.
You giggled before you spoke. “You can put me down now, Isaac. The picture’s over.”
“I said I should keep you close. So that’s what I’m doing,” he said smiling down at you in his arms. “And besides, if we’re next to each other people will think we’re a couple, so no guy will ask you to dance.”
You titled your head to the side, your eyes squinted slightly. “But we’re not a couple.”
“Give it a few weeks.”
Your mouth dropped in a silent gasp, slowly turning into a huge grin. You heard Kira giggling behind you and Stiles’s “yuck.”

Tumblr media
It never really got cold in Beacon Hills, considering it was located in California. Still, when temperatures started to fall to a mild climate, it signaled to the teen population that winter was fast approaching. And with that came Winter Ball. Which is all you've been able to think about.
To anyone who would ask, it wasn't that big of a deal– but you secretly thought about it. All the outfits, the decorations, the romanticism of it all. Maybe it was the hopeless romantic in you, especially as someone who has never had a date. It used to not bother you; you were happily involved in your studies or worrying about being murdered by a supernatural at any time. But then you started spending more time with a certain werewolf and thought it wouldn't be that bad to care about that stuff.
"Do you think Scott is going to ask me?" Kira said, scaring you out of your thoughts as you closed your locker. You took in the dark-haired female beside you, her eyes questioning and fingers tapping her books. "Will I have to ask him?"
"He'll ask you," you sighed. "He trips over his shoelaces every time he walks down the hall."
"Maybe he didn't tie them well?" Kira looked down the hall as if the boy in question would show up.
"He likes you," you sent a small smile. Kira relaxed slightly, loosening her shoulders before facing you with a questioning glance.
"Do you have anyone to go to the dance with?" Kira inquired, plain curiosity in her eyes. You knew, though, that she wanted more info on if you liked anyone. Even with her as a good friend, you rarely discussed those feelings with anyone. Usually, you were the one everyone else confided in.
"Might not even go," you averted your eyes as Kira slapped your arm lightly.
"You have to go!" Kira begged. "I can't go alone if Scott asks me."
"Kira, you won't be alone if you go with Scott." She silenced you again with a sharp look.
"You know what I mean," Kira sighed. "I just don't want you to shy away from something you might enjoy. Especially when I am certain some eligible young bachelor or bachelorette would be interested in going with you."
You pressed your back into your locker, looking down at your scuffed shoes rather than the girl beside you. You glanced up when you caught sight of Scott and Isaac in your peripheral vision. Kira grew still as she saw Scott shuffling closer to you to hide. You tried shoving her, but the kitsune was an immovable rock as Scott and Isaac got closer. You saw Scott's eyes light up as he caught sight of Kira, and you wanted to smile when Kira's cheeks deepened. You made it a point to not stare at Isaac next to him, even if you really liked the blue sweater he was wearing. It's purely observational, with no lurking feelings behind it.
"Hey guys," Scott smiled, holding his backpack straps like a kindergartener on the first day of school. "Whatcha guys up to?"
"Talking about the dance," you answered right as Kira tried to pass your prior conversation off as nothing. She shot you an angry look, but you hid the smile on your face as Scott perked up. "Kira wants to go but worries about not having a date." The look Kira shot you could be akin to being burned in the seventh circle of Hell, but you knew that your fair-weathered friend would've spent the whole time pondering if Scott liked her rather than making a move.
"I don't have a date either," Scott grimaced, trying to pass off as a smile. Kira visibly perked up, and you and Isaac barely hid smiles. "Maybe we can go together?"
The glee that overtook Kira's eyes was radiant, and she nodded enthusiastically. "I would love that," Kira grinned.
"Great," Scott beamed. "Can I walk you to class?"
Kira grabbed her books, sending you a look that said, "We'll talk later," while happily following the alpha wolf. You turned towards Isaac, feeling your heart start pitter-patter as he made eye contact with you. He gave you a shy smile, fidgeting with the books.
"They seem happy," you sighed, trying to break whatever tension you imagined.
"I'm glad it worked out," Isaac said, his steel blue eyes connecting to yours. "Scott was getting annoying."
"So was Kira," you slyly smiled. "What about you?" Isaac looked at you inquisitively. "Are you…going to the dance?"
"I don't think so," he mumbled, averting his eyes briefly. You felt your heart sink in disappointment. Luckily, you were spared a response with the bell ringing.
"See you around, Lahey," you smiled jokingly, trying to brush off any lingering feelings you had. You turned on your heel and walked off towards the direction of US History. You barely paid attention in class, though, your thoughts consumed with the micro-interaction by your locker. You didn't like Isaac, right? You just were disappointed a good friend wouldn't be there at a dance you might not even be attending. Totally rational feelings. At least that was the mantra you kept repeating till the end of the school day.
You managed to keep most Winter Ball-related thoughts at bay for the rest of the week while you helped the pack deal with whatever issue. Sometimes, it felt like you guys lived in a CW show with a villain of the week, but somehow, fighting and scheming became part of your routine. You would never admit it to anyone, but you did enjoy the research portion of your problems. Even if it was you and Stiles eating pizza in his room while staring at way too many red strings. It made you feel wanted in a way that you haven't before. By the end of the week, though, the only research you were doing was for a class project. You were already debating when you could (reasonably) quit for the night and curl up with some Netflix or Hulu. Your phone rang by the fifth academic journal, and you glanced to see Lydia's name lighting up the screen.
"Hello," you said, setting your phone on speaker.
"Dress shopping tomorrow. Are you in or out?" Lydia asked on the other line.
"For what?"
"Winter Ball, obviously," Lydia scoffed, the sound of rustling clothes in the background telling you she was going through her closet. "The fact I've waited this long when it's two weeks out is actually ridiculous, but with our life, I guess it's not surprising."
"I might not even go, Lyds."
"Don't be like that," Lydia sighed on the other line. "What's holding you back?"
"Kind of lame to go to a dance without a date," you mumbled, shrinking back into your chair. Maybe if you curled up in a ball and became a turtle, no one would ever ask things of you again.
"All of your friends will be there, and most girls will probably ditch their dates anyway," Lydia chimed. "And besides, who cares? I don't have a date either, and I'm still going."
"I thought you were going with Stiles."
"In a completely work-related situation," Lydia coughed, even as you rolled your eyes. "He knows that."
"I'm sure he'll figure it out by the tenth corsage he buys you," you snickered.
"Just come tomorrow; Kira is joining. We'll get dresses, lattes, and have a day where werewolves don't intrude." You bit the inside of your cheek, staring at your laptop screen as the words melted into mush in your brain. You could at least hang out, even if you didn't buy anything.
"I will come," you amended, almost hearing Lydia's excitement from the phone. "I won't promise that I'll buy anything."
"Grab you at 11 a.m., be ready," Lydia chimed, hanging up the phone. You sighed and put your head in your arms, wondering what you got yourself into.
It was a reminder that waking up by 10 a.m. was a struggle for you. You barely dragged yourself out the door as Lydia spammed your phone, pleading for your coffee as you slid into the car. Kira laughed at you as you curled up in a ball and muttered about sweet death taking you soon. Lydia drove up to the coffee place, an ivy-strewn brick building called Cafe Allegro, and you bolted out of the car and through the doors. The smell of roasting coffee beans and the whir of the espresso machines welcomed you like a blanket on a cold night, and you wondered if you could ask that when you die, it could be in a pile of coffee beans. You ordered your latte, not having to wait long to get your order as you stood off the side, inhaling the fresh scent. Having been absorbed in your calm, you didn't notice the boy standing next to you.
"You are really into your coffee," Isaac remarked, scaring you out of your stupor. You made a pathetic yelp, grimacing as a chuckle escaped his lips.
"It's too early."
"It's almost noon."
"Too early," you sighed, sipping the heavenly goodness in your hand. "Why are you here?"
"Scott and Stiles dragged me to the suit rental place and told me they didn't want me left alone to wallow or something like that," Isaac laughed, shoving his hands in his pockets. He was wearing a heather gray henley today that you were enjoying and trying your hardest not to notice. "If it's so early, why are you here?"
"Similar reason. Lydia and Kira dragged me dress shopping," you glanced up at him before looking around the shop and realizing that your comrades were hiding on the opposite side. Annoyingly leaving you with the person who gives you immense jitters.
"Do you think you'll get a dress?" Isaac inquired.
"Not sure why, don't have a good reason to," you mumbled, staring at your cup. Gosh, your heart was beating fast, and your stomach hurt. Maybe you should've gotten something calming like herbal tea.
"You should get one," Isaac coughed, looking visibly uncomfortable. For a second, you worried that you were annoying him. "You would look…pretty."
"Thanks," your cheeks burned. "Then, you should get a suit." You swallowed, feeling like your head was in a whirlpool. Isaac's eyes looked at you with something akin to interest, but you passed it off as your caffeine-filled hallucinations.
"We should go to the dance together," Isaac said quickly, tensing slightly as he awaited your reaction. Your eyes widened, and you had to remember what solid ground felt like as his words sank in.
"I would like that very much," you breathed. Isaac's demeanor softened, relief flooding his eyes. He bit his lip to stifle his grin, which was the worst mistake he could've made as now all you were focusing on was his lips. "Gotta go," you announced, bolting from him before he could say anything else or before you jumped him at a coffee shop. You made it to Lydia and Kira and dragged them out of the door, not bothering to look back for fear of embarrassment. Lydia had mild complaints, but mostly, Kira gave you a knowing look.
"Is there a reason for this rush?" Kira asked, eyebrows lifted in question.
"I need a dress," you said. Lydia and Kira shared a grin and you knew there was a specific reason they left you with Isaac in the cafe. You wanted to strangle them and kiss them for it.
The ride to the dress shop was short, but the anxiety building like a knot in your stomach persisted long after. Isaac asked you to the dance. He asked you for some unknown reason. You guys were friends and occasionally worked together. Still, you struggled to have a conversation before that didn't end with you saying something weird and making it awkward. You used to chalk it up to just not having common interests. Still, if you admitted the truth to yourself, you would know it's because you had a giant raging crush on the werewolf. Words were not in your vocabulary around him.
Entering the dress shop (a cute place called Laura Jane's Boutique), you were suddenly reminded why you didn't really want to go in the first place. You love pretty things, but the over-glitzy dresses and jumpsuits are not your style. At least Kira looked as out of place as you. Lydia led the charge, though, immediately saying "no" to many dresses on the rack and holding up some options for you and Kira. You did love it, though, Lydia caring enough to try and find the perfect dress for her friends. It made you feel wanted.
You wandered into one of the back sections, skipping the colors you would never wear. What was Isaac's favorite color? Maybe that's the color of dress you should go with. Your inner voice told you it shouldn't matter what color you wear. Not just because you value your independence but because Isaac would love it either way.
You pushed some dresses aside on one of the racks, stopping at a shorter-length dress. It had bell sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. It was simple but not understated, and you loved it.
You went home that night feeling like you were on a cloud. Except, like all good things, your crippling insecurities had to rear its ugly head and make you start questioning everything. Laying in your bed, the dress still in its tissue-wrapped bag, you stared at the ceiling, debating what had happened. What if Isaac only asked you to the dance because it was convenient? Or worse, he was asked to by someone like Scott or Lydia? He probably didn't like you at all. Why would he? You were human. Unremarkable.
Vibrations could be felt in your head as your phone rang, and you begrudgingly grabbed at it without checking the caller ID. "Hello?" you grumbled.
"Hey," the tenor voice said from over the phone. "Can I come over?"
"Isaac?" you asked, sitting up in your bed. "Is everything okay?" Oh my gosh, was he hurt? Or rescinding his previous offer of the dance.
"I just want to see you," he breathed. "Is this a bad time?"
"Never," you answered quickly. "You can come over."
Ten minutes later, of anxious pacing in your room, you got a text from Isaac saying he had arrived. You ran downstairs to open the door, slightly winded from the rush. Isaac's face was illuminated by your porch lights, and all you could think about was how pretty he was.
"Hi," you spoke, looking up at him.
"Hi," Isaac smiled, "can I come in?" Nodding, you opened the door further so the golden-haired werewolf could enter. You gestured for him to follow, leading him to your room for privacy. You started to regret that decision when you realized that you had invited someone you were interested in into your bedroom. This was the plot of a bad romance novel.
"What brings you to my humble abode?" you inquire, twirling to face him.
"I came to check on you," Isaac glanced around your bedroom, smiling faintly at your posters on the wall. You watched his eyes catch on your corkboard, where a photo of the two of you at Derek's loft is in prime display. It was after saving the day, and Stiles had bought multiple tubs of ice cream to celebrate. Derek demanded why this "celebration" had to be at his place. However, Stiles had never once listened to Derek's complaints and hosted it anyway. You loved that picture and that memory.
"Check on me? I'm not in danger again, am I?" you smile, sitting on your bed and subconsciously grabbing one of your stuffed animals.
"Kira was over to see Scott and mentioned you might be 'spiraling into oblivion,'" Isaac turned to you, quoting Kira's words. Sometimes, you wondered if that girl was telepathic with how well she knew you.
"Maybe a little," you mumbled, fidgeting with your fluffy friend. Isaac hesitantly sat next to you on the bed, his weight causing you to sink closer to him.
"Can I ask why, or should I just infer?" he chimed, grabbing another stuffed friend you have and twirling it around. It was a blue chicken from a video game you play, with a cute pink gizzard and round body. "I like this one."
"Do tell," you chuckled, watching him squish the chicken plush.
"It's squishy," he muttered, patting it on the head before setting it carefully beside him. Your heart wanted to burst at the small interaction.
"I was worried about the dance," you responded, answering his previous question. He gave you a sidelong glance, asking you to elaborate. "I don't know why you asked me."
"I like you."
"Like me, or like me?" you whispered, barely able to get your voice heard. Unfortunately, Isaac is sitting next to you and has a werewolf hearing, so he didn't miss a thing. He hesitantly grabbed the stuffed animal from your fidgeting hands, putting it aside before carefully holding your hand in his own.
"I think you're amazing," he smiled, looking at you with eyes the color of a lakeshore. "So yes, I like you."
"I like you too," you breathed, a smile gripping your lips. "When did you get good at socializing?"
Isaac laughed, still holding your hand as he absentmindedly traced shapes on your knuckles. "Had lots of time to practice conversations while trapped in a freezer."
"You need therapy."
"Probably," he laughed, grinning at you before tucking a piece of hair behind your ear. Your breath caught in your throat as he looked at you. "Can I kiss you?"
You barely managed a nod, your heart thumping loudly in your chest as Isaac kissed your lips. It was soft and somewhat hesitant, like he didn't want you to run away afterward. You boldly deepened the kiss, as it felt like water filled your ears and a marching band played in your heart. The hand he wasn't holding you used to capture his face, his free hand lightly gripping the outside of your thigh. It wasn't fireworks but an ocean at high tide with waves crashing against the shore. And you didn't mind it one bit; you hated fireworks anyway. When Isaac did pull away, his breath was warm against your lips, and you had to remember to let out a shaky breath before you hyperventilate. Isaac kissed your cheek, pulling back to look at you with pure adoration on his face.
Kissing him again was pure bliss, and you couldn't help but look at him with awe. You weren't sure how you were granted something this good when you've spent your whole life dreaming of something worth half of this. Still, you wouldn't exchange it for anything. It meant you got to spend Winter Ball with the most handsome boy on the dance floor.

Tumblr media
There needs to be more fics of teen wolf on here in GENERAL, it feels like I’m grabbing for scraps at this point😭💔💔 love my homeboy isaac so I’ll quickly write something teehee
Tumblr media
Click. Click. Click
The sound of a pen echoed throughout the classroom, some students looking towards the source of the annoying sound, others sighing loudly at the persistent clicking.
Click. Click. Click.
You sat in silence, staring at the board in front of you. Not even realizing you had become a disturbance for the entire class, you continued playing with your pen, lost in thought.
With all the killings happening around town, your nerves had reached an all time high. You had no idea what to expect at this point! Everyone thought Stiles had found a pattern to the killings, or ‘sacrifices’, until the killer decided to change things up.
Click. Click. Click.
Everything was getting a little too frustrating, you couldn’t even focus in school! No matter what you did, your mind just seemed to be in another place. Not even your boyfriend could bring you back to reality at this point.
Click. Click. Click. Cli-
The pen that was once in your hand was snatched away from you, snapping you out of whatever spell you were under. Looking up to the teacher, you could only internally cringe at what was about to happen.
“Is this seriously necessary? This was the most annoying thing you could’ve done in my class of all places. I hope you don’t plan on becoming a professional pen clicker because that job would suck! For everyone!”
Coach Finstock walked away and began talking to the class about whatever he was teaching today, fiddling with your pen as he continued. Huffing, you slumped against your seat and stared at the clock as its hands slowly moved around.
Feeling eyes on you, you slightly looked back only to see Isaac staring at you. When you finally notice him, Isaac gives you a confused look to as if to say ’what’s wrong’ which you could only mouth out ‘nothing’.
You whipped your head to the front though when a book was slammed on your desk.
“Y/N! You just became my least favorite student in this class, congratulations! You’re making me question why I decided to chose being a teacher as a career, thank you!”
Finstock placed the pen back on your desk. His eyebrows furrowed at the face you were making.
“Don’t look at me like that, it’s scary.”
“I’m not looking at you like anything?” Your face scrunched up in annoyance.
“Oh ho, yes you are! It’s the same face that that Silinski kid gives me when I make him run laps around the gym!”
The bell rang causing everyone to get up, you quickly packing your bag and rushing out the classroom. Coach totally made everything worse for you if you were being honest.
So eager to leave the school, you didn’t even hear the sound of your boyfriend calling out to you from the sea of students. Confused, Isaac fought his way against the current of students, all excited to begin the weekend and be away from school, to get to you.
Finally reaching you, he lightly grabbed your shoulder.
“Hey, what’s going on? Are you ok?”
Shifting your attention to the tall boy, you gave him a small smile. Just looking at him made some of your nerves calm down.
“Uh yeah, stuffs just been taking a toll on me lately.”
At that, Isaac frowned. You both continued walking, hands now linked together. Walking out the school, you both fell into a comfortable silence. You lost in thought while Isaac wondered what was bothering you.
Was someone bothering you? Have your teachers been giving you a lot of homework? Glancing at your tired face, he couldn’t help himself from asking questions.
“Do you want to talk about it? I mean, about the stuff that’s been bothering you.”
Sighing, you let go of Isaacs hand, causing him to unconsciously chase after it. You smiled at the action.
“I guess with everything that’s been going on around town, with all the random killings, I just- ugh. I don’t know but it’s been really draining my energy. And making me kinda anxious, lowkey.”
Once you started talking, you couldn’t stop the waterfall of words that seemed to shoot out of your mouth.
“And not just the killings Isaac, but having to guess where this killer will take its next victim is so frustrating! We don’t know when it will happen and who it will happen to!
“It feels like we’re just sitting around waiting to find a new corpse! And like I said, we don’t know whose getting targeted. For all we know, it could be Allison, you, me-!”
Isaac cut you off suddenly, forcing you to stop walking by pulling you towards him. His hands gripped your upper arms, keeping you in front of him, forcing you to look at him.
“Hey, I know it feels like we’re getting nothing done right now, but we’re all trying. It’s a slow progress, but we have something. That’s what matters.”
He placed a hand on your cheek. Leaning into it, you sighed. “This really has been on your mind, huh?”
Groaning, you nodded and dropped your head onto the boys chest, causing him to let out a small laugh. Hugging you, the werewolf could only hope he relieved some of your nerves. Suddenly an idea popped up in his head.
“What do you think about a self care weekend? Something to get your mind off things.” He smiled as you let out a confused sound.
“What about the others? What if they need us or something?” Pulling away from him, you grabbed his hand and continued walking, pondering the idea of a self care weekend.
“I think Scott and the others can handle a weekend without us.” Isaac snickered, happy to see your mood changing as you got excited.
“And if anything, they can just text us. Or Scott can howl. Either works fine to be honest.” At that, you laughed, your body relaxing the longer Isaac spoke.
Silence again fell between you both but it was different. You were now smiling, happy that Isaac gave the suggestion of taking a break. Isaac internally high-fived himself, a grin breaking onto his face.
Bringing his hand up to your lips, you kissed the back of it.
“Thank you.” Smiling, he did the same thing, gently kissing your hand, loving the way your face flushed a pretty pink.
“Anything for you, love.”

fake dating — isaac lahey x reader
Tumblr media
☄. *. ⋆
content warnings and genre: swearing, cheating, fake relationship — drama
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
synopsis: in a world where supernatural beings live in secret alongside humans, your ordinary life takes an unexpected turn when you and isaac decide to spark up a fake relationship to spite scott and allison. however, it takes a turn for the best.
✧.*
through the windows of the cozy beacon hills cafe, you found yourself sitting across from isaac lahey, the enigmatic and brooding boy from your high school. the atmosphere was charged with an unspoken tension, a palpable energy that seemed to envelop the two of you.
his stormy blue eyes met yours, a wry smile playing at the corners of his lips. “so, we're really doing this, huh?” he murmured, his fingers tracing the rim of his coffee cup.
you nodded, a mixture of nerves and determination coursing through you. “yeah, it's crazy, i know. but it might just work.”
the idea had been born out of desperation. you had watched scott and allison's friendship blossom into something beautiful, something you'd secretly yearned for with scott. and you knew isaac had felt the same way about allison. so, in a moment of shared frustration, you both hatched a plan to stage a fake relationship, a way to counter the overwhelming presence of scott and allison's romance.
isaac leaned back in his chair, his gaze never leaving yours. “you know, this could get complicated,” he warned, a hint of caution in his voice.
uou chuckled nervously, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “complicated is an understatement, Isaac. but maybe, it could also be the solution we've been looking for.”
and so, with that unspoken agreement, your fake relationship began. little did you know that this charade would lead to unexpected feelings, unexplored connections, and a journey of self-discovery neither of you had anticipated.
a few weeks into your fake relationship, everyone began to take notice of the change in dynamics between you and isaac. one sunny afternoon, as you all gathered at scott's house, stiles couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the two of you.
“so, when did you guys start dating?” he asked, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. the rest of the group turned their attention to you and isaac, curious expressions on their faces.
you exchanged a quick glance with Isaac, your heart racing. you knew that the façade you both had been keeping up was about to face its first real test. isaac cleared his throat, putting on a convincing smile.
“we, uh, didn't really make an official announcement,” he replied, his tone casual. “it just sort of happened.”
stiles raised an eyebrow, skepticism evident in his gaze. “really? because i'm pretty sure we would have noticed if you suddenly became an item.”
uou felt the weight of the group's gaze on you, waiting for an answer. with a nervous chuckle, you leaned in slightly closer to isaac, allowing your fingers to intertwine with his.
“yeah, stiles, isaac's right. it kind of just happened,” you chimed in, trying your best to sound genuine. “we've been spending more time together, and things naturally evolved.”
stiles eyed you both suspiciously, but seemed to accept the explanation. “huh, well, i guess congrats are in order then.”
as the day went on, you and Isaac continued to play your parts, though the act felt strangely less like acting and more like reality with every passing moment. the more you pretended to be a couple, the harder it became to differentiate between what was genuine and what wasn't.
a couple of days later, scott and allison approached you with smiles that held a hint of curiosity. “hey, so we heard you guys are a thing now?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
isaac and you exchanged a quick look, a silent understanding passing between you. “yeah, it's true,” he replied, his expression softening as he looked at you. “guess we just clicked.”
scott grinned, giving isaac a playful punch on the shoulder. “well, it's about time! you guys make a cute couple.”
allison nodded in agreement, her smile warm. “definitely. and you know what? we should all go on a double date sometime. what do you think?”
your heart skipped a beat as you glanced at Isaac. he met your gaze, his eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and realization. it was a curveball you hadn't anticipated, but there was no turning back now.
“sure, that sounds like fun,” you replied, your voice steady despite the turmoil in your chest.
you couldn't help but groan in annoyance as you attempted to zip up the gorgeous, tight black dress you had on. isaac was sitting at the foot of your bed, watching with furrowed eyebrows in a playfully judgemental way. “trying to impress mccall?” he teased, a smile on his face. you shot him a glare
“the plan isn't working, jackass,” you snapped at him, struggling with the zipper as you pulled upwards with all your might. “besides, i assume the cologne you're wearing isn't just for shits and giggles, huh?” now, it was his turn to shoot you a glare.
isaac's lips quirked up at the corners, amusement dancing in his eyes. “you caught that, huh?” he replied, his tone mockingly innocent.
with a huff, you managed to get the zipper up a couple of inches, but it stubbornly refused to budge any further. frustration gnawed at you, and you realized you might need a bit of assistance.
“isaac,” you sighed, looking at him with a mix of annoyance and desperation. “could you maybe give me a hand here? this dress is conspiring against me.”
he chuckled softly, pushing himself off the bed and sauntering over to where you stood. his fingers brushed lightly against your shoulder, sending a shiver down your spine. “alright, stand still,” he instructed, his voice surprisingly gentle.
as his fingers grazed the exposed skin of your back, a jolt of electricity shot through you. you sucked in a breath, feeling the tension between the two of you intensify. his touch was warm, his fingers deftly working to guide the zipper upwards. each inch he pulled the zipper, your heart seemed to beat faster, the proximity between you both becoming palpable.
“better?” his voice was low and husky, the words a mere whisper against your ear.
you nodded, struggling to find your voice. “yeah, thanks.”
isaac stepped back, his hand lingering on your waist for just a moment longer before he let go. the room was thick with unspoken words, a charged atmosphere that neither of you could ignore. you met his gaze, a mixture of emotions swirling in his stormy blue eyes.
“anytime,” he murmured, his lips curving into a small, almost shy smile.
the night of the double date had arrived, and there you were, seated across from scott and allison in a dimly lit bar. the atmosphere was a mix of excitement and tension, with each of you trying to play your roles convincingly. you shot Isaac a quick glance, finding him seated next to you, engaged in what appeared to be a polite conversation with allison.
“so, isaac, what is it you like to do in your free time?” allison asked, her smile warm as she leaned in slightly.
isaac's lips quirked into a smile, though you could sense a hint of restlessness in his gaze. “oh, you know, the usual stuff. hanging out with friends, reading, being apart of a pack of werewolves,” he replied, his voice casual as he earned some laughs from allison.
as the conversation between isaac and allison continued, you found yourself in a similar situation with scott. the two of you were making small talk, discussing school, training, and everything in between. but just like isaac, you couldn't help but feel a growing sense of boredom settling in.
as the minutes turned into what felt like hours, you exchanged a glance with isaac, your eyes meeting for a fleeting moment. there was something unspoken in that shared look—a mutual understanding that this double date was nothing like what you had anticipated. the connection you had both been cultivating, the emotions that had been simmering beneath the surface, seemed to be fading away in the presence of scott and allison.
you cleared your throat, attempting to steer the conversation in a different direction. “so, scott, any exciting plans for the weekend?” you asked, a forced smile on your face.
scott's eyes lit up as he began talking about his plans to hang out with his friends and maybe catch a movie. as he spoke, you found your attention drifting, your mind wandering to the enigmatic boy seated beside you. you watched isaac, his expression polite but distant, as he exchanged pleasantries with allison.
feeling the need to escape the stifling atmosphere of the bar, you excused yourself under the pretense of getting a drink. your heart felt heavy with the weight of the evening's events, and you hoped that a moment alone would give you a chance to clear your mind. you walked over to the bar and leaned against it, ordering a drink to soothe your frayed nerves.
a little while later, as you stared down at the swirling liquid in your glass, you felt a presence beside you. you turned slightly, not surprised to find isaac standing there, his gaze fixed on the array of bottles behind the bar.
“mind if i join you?” he asked, his voice soft.
you shook your head, offering him a faint smile. “not at all.”
isaac signaled to the bartender and ordered a drink for himself before turning to you. “you looked like you could use some company.”
“thanks,” you replied, taking a sip from your glass. “honestly, i just needed a break from all the...acting.”
isaac's lips quirked into a rueful smile. “tell me about it. allison's nice and all, but i feel like we're running out of things to say.”
you chuckled softly in agreement. “yeah, scott and i were discussing the most mundane things. i never thought a conversation about the weather could be so painful.”
isaac chuckled too, his laughter mixing with the low hum of the bar. “guess our plan didn't exactly go as smoothly as we hoped.”
“no, it definitely didn't,” you admitted, glancing at him with a mixture of amusement and something deeper. “but you know what's even weirder? as boring as this night has been, it kind of made me realize something.”
he arched an eyebrow, curiosity flickering in his eyes. “and what's that?”
you took a deep breath, deciding to be honest. “i actually prefer talking to you.”
isaac's expression softened, his gaze locking onto yours. “really?”
“yeah,” you replied, a small smile tugging at your lips. “i mean, it's like we can actually be ourselves around each other, even when we're faking it. does that even make sense?”
isaac's lips curved into a genuine smile, and you could see a spark of something in his eyes. “yeah, it does. it's strange, isn't it? how this whole thing started as a charade, but now i feel like i can be more honest with you than I can with anyone else.”
the honesty in his words tugged at your heart, and you felt a sense of connection that was impossible to ignore.
as the night continued, you decided to engage in some friendly competition, moving over to a corner of the bar where a dartboard was set up. you found yourself standing at the line, a dart in hand, ready to take your shot. scott sidled up next to you with a confident grin.
“careful, (y/n),” he teased, his eyes dancing mischievously. “i've got pretty good aim, you know.”
you rolled your eyes playfully, focusing on the dartboard. “we'll see about that, mccall.”
just as you were about to throw the dart, you heard a dry chuckle from behind you. isaac's voice was laced with sarcasm. “oh, this should be good. the mighty scott mccall taking on the humble game of darts.”
you couldn't help but smirk at Isaac's remark, feeling a surge of camaraderie between the two of you.
ignoring isaac, scott leaned in a bit closer to you, his tone more intimate. “you know, if i win, maybe i'll finally get that real date.”
you couldn't help but laugh, your aim slightly off as you released the dart. it hit the board, but not in the bullseye you had intended. “nice try, mccall. but i think i'll be just fine on my own.”
isaac's voice chimed in again, dripping with sarcasm. “at least you almost hit the board.”
scott narrowed his eyes at him. “got something to say, lahey?”
isaac leaned casually against the bar, a smug grin on his face. “oh, nothing really. just enjoying the show.”
scott picked up a dart, gaze switching between the object and isaac. “alright, let's see if you're as good as you think you are, asshole.”
you watched as he handed isaac the dart. isaac couldn't help but smirk at the challenge, returning scott's gaze as he picked his poison. he turned to face thw board, positioning his hands at a good angle in order to get the best throw possible. scott was praying on his downfall, but your expectations remained high. eventually, fulfilled, as the sharp end stuck itself into the thick material of the wood.
“would you look at that,” isaac murmured, making his way to you as he had been doing for a while. “seems like i'm the one getting a date instead.”
as the night wore on, with the dartboard now a backdrop to your laughter and light-hearted teasing, you couldn't help but feel that maybe this night had turned out to be a success after all—not in terms of the original plan, but in terms of the bonds that had formed, the walls that had crumbled, and the unexpected connection that had taken root between you and isaac.

Stiles Stillinski: The Best friend
Stiles stillinski x fem!reader
Summary:
Stiles and stiles are the best friends.
Also just to be clear I know that the true meaning behind this song is, I just heard that one clip and got an idea.
Tumblr media
(Stiles in a backwards cap>>>)
I’m just the best friend in Hollywood movies, who only exist to continue the story.
The pack had made plans to go bowling, and didn’t think to tell stiles and y/n who were sitting at home trying to solve one of their most recent supernatural problems. Y/n sighed “where the hell is Scott?” She asked impatiently. The pair had been waiting on him for about 45 minutes. Stiles shrugged and asked “should I call him again?”. Y/n shook her head “no, we’re gonna go over to his house and see what the hell is up” she said standing up. Stiles didn’t object following close behind her. when they arrived at Scott’s, stiles rang the door bell. Not 10 seconds later the door opened to show an out of breath Melissa. “Stiles, y/n? What are you doing here why aren’t you with the others?” She asked. The pair looked at each other then back at her in confusion what do you mean Scott was supposed to meet us an hour ago to talk about the recent “drama”” stiles said. Melissa seemed taken aback “guys, the others are at the movies” she said. y/n looked at stiles shocked while he just stared at Melissa in seemingly stunned. “Okay, thanks” y/n said grabbing stiles and dragging him to the Jeep. Tears stung at y/ns eyes and stiles looked like he had just been betrayed. Y/n grabbed his hand making him look at her. She put a smile on as tears ran down her face “I’m sure it was a mistake” she said the words trying to cheer the boy up but not even believing them herself.
The girl gets the guy while I’m standing off screen
Y/n and stiles watched all of their friends fall in and out of love wondering if they’d ever find that kind of connection, They both found comfort in each other since in the same situation. It was especially bad when they both lost their crushes to people that weren’t them. They sat broken, crying together and eventually healed together.
So, ill wait for my cue to be comedic relief
“I don’t know how to help you to help me tell you something that would help you if I don’t know it” stiles said to Scott’s dad who was holding him and y/n hostage at this point. He looked to y/n “you seem to be the more sensible one here, help me out would ya?” Scotts dad asked. Y/n looked at stiles who just shrugged and back at the tall man in front of her “see I would help you but… I don’t know how to help you to help me tell you something that would help you if I don’t know it” she said making the man huff in anger, discreetly high giving stiles who had a proud look on his face.
Can’t be too loud
“SHHHHH” echoed across the room while everyone looked at stiles and y/n who were just goofing around during the game.
Can’t be too busy, if I don’t answer now are they still gonna need me?
Y/n had gotten a call from Allison who had asked if she and stiles could help find the new werewolf that they had discovered to which y/n politely declined for te=he first time ever as stiles had asked her on a date. After that it took a week and a half for either of them to be contacted
———
“Hey stiles” y/n spoke up from her place on his chest. She felt his hum vibrate through his body. “Do you think our friends would care if something were to happen to either of us?” She asked. Stiles stiffened as if caught off guard by the question. “Honestly I’m not sure, I think they’d fight to find or save us but not as hard as they would for each other.” He said sounding sad.
Not too long after that conversation void happened, Scott fought his hardest to get stiles back while y/n had sat with boiling anger towards the boy who had only just started caring for his “best friends” again.

Tell me you want this
Isaac Lahey x Fem!Stilinski!Reader
Warning(s): canon-level stuff, blood, making out, mentions of sex
Summary: In a life that is constantly on the move, you appreciate the small moments much more. Especially if they're with Isaac.
Tumblr media
"It'll just heal in a few minutes, you know," Isaac said.
"I know," you replied, sitting on his bed next to him.
You pulled a baby wipe from its package and held Issac's chin between your thumb and forefinger, moving his head to look him over.
It had been a particularly bad fight, for everyone. The kind of fight where you needed the rest of the night to just heal; physically, mentally, emotionally.
And, of course, you wouldn't let Isaac do it on his own.
You began wiping at a spot on his face, gliding the cloth over the apple of his cheek.
"If Stiles finds out about this, he's gonna be upset," Isaac said, watching your face contort as you worked.
"Yeah, well," you moved his head to the other side, frowning at the mention of your brother. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it."
You and Isaac had known each other forever. Being in the same grade, it would’ve been hard not to notice one another, but even besides that you had a connection. You were sort of friends.
Not the kind that hung out outside of school, but the loners who ate lunch under the bleachers and spent free periods in the library.
You also covered for him whenever he wasn’t in school, finding out about his home life after his dad had a particularly bad day.
You’d cleaned him up then, too.
Isaac gently grabbed your wrist, "and Derek-"
"Derek's not gonna hurt me."
You'd long since perfected sneaking into Derek's loft to see Isaac. You suspected that he knew you were there. Being a seasoned werewolf, you were sure he could hear the extra heartbeat, if not smell your scent.
But you didn't care, and clearly neither did he.
But Isaac? Isaac cared.
Ever since he became a werewolf, and you were further pulled into the bullshit that came along with that, he’d been protective in a way he hadn’t before.
You weren’t sure if it was a wolf thing or if Isaac felt some kind of obligation to you. Either way, you wouldn’t let him keep you out of it.
Tossing the wipe in the trash, you put your hand to his now clean cheek. "Relax."
He eyed you for a long moment, searching, before he took a deep breath and leaned into your touch.
The shape of his jaw pressed into your palm, his hand wrapping around your wrist gently, as if just to touch you.
Silence surrounded you, only the sound of your heartbeats and breathing cutting through.
That and the tension that hung palpably in the small space between you.
"You know," he pulled at the new hole in his shirt. "I think you better get this one, too."
You smiled, shaking your head. "I guess I better."
He wasted no time in pulling the material over his head and tossing it somewhere else in the room, making you laugh.
You scooted closer to him, crossing your legs under you and pulling another wipe from the package.
"Oh, Isaac," you said, taking in the wound. "It must've hurt."
He shrugged. "You'd be surprised how much the adrenaline can mask...and I'm used to pain."
He was so close now, close enough you could feel his breath on your cheek as you cleaned him up.
You focused on the task at hand because if you didn't, you'd notice the way he was staring at you. And you weren't sure what you'd do if you met his eyes.
He was fitter than he used to be, the tone of his chest and abs more prominent, his arms more muscular.
You unconsciously lifted your other hand to drag it down his chest.
He shivered under your touch. "Y/N..."
You swallowed, stilling your hand on his shoulder as you continued to clean him up.
"Y/N," he said again, making you look up at him.
His eyes were already on you, as you suspected, looking at you with so much intensity you wondered what he was thinking.
"Yes?"
He was so beautiful, especially this close.
You could see every line on his face, every freckle, every mole. The sculpt of his nose, the part of his lips. The dim light made the blue of his eyes seem darker, or maybe that was just the way he was looking at you.
He lightly pushed down your hand that had stilled on his chest so that he could lean closer, brushing his nose against yours.
"Tell me you want this."
His breath fanned your lips, and you sucked in a breath. "Isaac-"
"I can hear your heartbeat," he said. "I can tell how nervous you are...don't be. Tell me you want this."
You released the breath, shakily. "Yes. Yes, please, kiss me."
He leaned in, pressing his lips softly against yours.
You kissed him back, hesitantly. So hesitantly that he stopped, but didn't go far, allowing you the power to continue if you wanted. And you did.
More confidently this time, you kissed him. And he kissed you back.
You didn't realize how much you'd wanted this until now. How kissing him felt akin to breathing; natural, easy, like if you stopped, you might die.
It was a natural progression that he pulled you closer by your waist, his hands rough but gesture gentle, slow.
Your hands slid their way over the shape of his arms, then shoulders, then neck before they finally stopped to tangled themselves in his hair.
He hummed into your mouth, dragging his tongue over your bottom lip, and you parted them. His tongue slid over yours, experimentally, trying to find a rhythm.
You tugged against his hair.
That caused him to moan.
His fingers were ghosting just under your shirt when-
"Isaac, I need you to- oh my god."
You jumped apart, faces burning, as Derek stood in the doorway of Isaac's room.
It was pointless to try to look innocent, Isaac was shirtless for Christ's sake.
"Okay, I've clearly let this go on too long, I don't need you having sex in here."
"We weren't going to have sex!" Isaac protested, and you hid your face in your hands.
"Maybe not yet," Derek replied, crossing his arms. "How'd you get here anyway?"
"Walked," you replied sheepishly.
"Great, now I'm going to have to take you home. They're going to think I've kidnapped you."
"I can walk home."
"After that fight today? I'm surprised you made it here, let alone getting back."
"I can take her back," Isaac offered.
"And have you get busy in my car? Yeah, no, thanks."
"We wouldn't-" Isaac groaned. "Fine."
"Let's go. Now."
Too embarrassed to protest, you stood and followed Derek out the door.
Boyd and Erica were sitting in the main room and looked at you with wide eyes when they saw you come out of Isaac's room.
Great, you thought. Now it looks like a walk of shame.
"Y/N, wait."
You turned as Isaac came out of his room, holding your jacket in his hand.
"You, uh, forgot this," he said, blushing as everyone looked at him.
Face hot, you took it from him. "Thanks."
You put it on as Derek grabbed his keys and the two of you disappeared out the door.
Then Boyd and Erica's eyes drifted back to Isaac.
"...what?"
Erica split into a grin. "So, Stilinski, huh?"
"Shut up."

pairing: isaac lahey x fem!reader
summary: something is finally done about the lingering feelings between you and isaac
warnings: none. it’s quite literally just fluff
Tumblr media
the bell rings dismissing you from your last class of the day. you walk out with malia by your side complaining about your teacher.
“malia, she’s just doing her job.” you chuckle
“i don’t care. she’s not making any sense when she’s explaining things and she’s the only one whose given us homework for the weekend.”
“that is true.” you mumble as you two stop at your locker
“it’s stupid.” she says rolling her eyes. she looks past you as you dig through your locker. a smirk takes over her face. “your boyfriend’s coming.”
you look up to her quickly, “what ?” she nods ahead as you turn to your left. your eyes widen as you see isaac coming toward you. “oh my god.”
“good luck.” she says. your head snaps to her. “what ? where are you going ?”
“away from here. the awkward flirting makes me nauseous.”
“wait, malia. please.” you beg
“no.” she mumbles, “isaac.”
you sigh as the boy stops beside you. he smiles lightly, “hey, malia.”
the girl hums before she walks off.
you and isaac had a little bit of a confusing relationship. you two weren’t dating, but it was obvious you liked each other. you didn’t really know what to make of it since he hadn’t asked you on a date or to be his girlfriend. it was just a little awkward whenever you two spoke to each other.
“uh, y/n ?”
your eyes shut tightly before you slowly turn to him. when your eyes open, you’re met with a smile.
“hey, isaac.” you say softly
“hey. how was your day ?” he asks
“it was good.” you nod. “uh, what about you ? how was your day ?”
“good. good.” he nods. you chuckle as you nod with him. “i actually wanted to ask you something.”
“okay.” you say as he starts digging through his bag.
“i wanted to ask if you’d wear my extra jersey to the game tonight.” he says as he pulls the jersey out. you brows raise as you look up at him.
“really ?”
“yeah.” he says scratching the back of his neck, “only if you want to though.”
of course you did.
“yes. yeah, sure.” you ramble
“okay. great.” he smiles wide as you take the jersey from him. “i’ll be sure to look out for you.”
his heart skips as you smile up at him. his blue eyes searching your face before he looks down at his feet.
•••
a couple of hours had passed and the game was starting soon. you sat in the bleachers with lydia and malia while isaac, scott, stiles, kira, and liam were out on the field.
you wore isaac’s jersey like he asked, but you put a long sleeve on under seeing as it was always cold in beacon hills. you also tied the end of his jersey around your waist since it seemed like it was huge on you.
“you know, wearing someone’s jersey basically means that you’re dating.” lydia says
“does it ?” you ask
“yeah.” lydia nods, “trust me. so many different guys have tried giving me their jerseys. it’s like showing other guys that you’re taken.”
you look down at the jersey, “oh.”
“so, he’s finally making a move.” malia says, “thank god.”
“is that bad to where you guys are hoping that we finally start dating ?”
“yes.” they both say. your mouth opens slightly as you try to respond, but you come up with nothing as the game begins.
you missed how isaac had looked into the bleachers for you. his eyes searching each row until they finally land on you. a smile instantly taking over his face at the jersey covering your body.
•••
the game was nearing the end with only a few seconds left on the clock. the teams were tied and you could see coach basically having an aneurysm on the sidelines.
you weren’t too much into sports. only going to the games because of your friends being on the team, but you were on the edge of your seat.
it’s not long before you see the boys running around on the field. your eyes looking for anyone on your school’s team to have the ball.
you gasp as the ball flies through the air and isaac catches. the students start to cheer in the stands as he runs toward the goal.
“go, isaac ! go !” you yell as the students cheer him on. unbeknownst to you, he had been listening to only your voice the entire game. so, out of everyone yelling at him and cheering him on, he only heard you.
you and the students in the bleachers stand as he gets closer to the goal. you feel your heart beat hard in your chest as the clock ticks down.
just as isaac tosses the ball toward the goal, the buzzer goes off. it’s quiet for a second before the ball goes in. isaac earned the game winning point.
the crowd erupts into cheers as the team runs over to isaac. you and lydia jumping up and down as malia cheers beside you.
a couple of people step off the bleachers into the field to celebrate with the team.
you, lydia, and malia make your way down the bleachers and onto the field. you guys spot stiles first. malia walking up and giving him a hug as you look around.
“he’s on the other side.” stiles says breathing heavily. you turn to him to see him already smiling at you.
“go get him.” lydia says tapping your arm excitedly. you chuckle at her before you make your way through the students.
isaac laughs as his team sets him down. he turns as his eyes scan the crowd for any sign of you.
“isaac !”
he turns and sees you pushing through some students trying to make your way to them. you dodge a teen running up toward a friend as he smiles at you.
as you run up to him, he holds his arms out. you two collide in a hug with your arms going around his neck and his around your waist.
he lifts you off the ground slightly causing you to laugh. he sets you down as you pull away, but don’t go far at all. your hands holding onto his arms as his stay around your waist.
“that was amazing. i’m so proud of you.” you smile
“thank you.” he says, before his eyes trail down, “you actually wore it.”
you look down before looking up at him with bright eyes. “yeah, of course. you wanted me to, right ?”
“yeah.” he nods, “you know, i couldn’t have done it without you.”
your brows furrow, “what do you mean ?”
“i was listening for your voice.” he says. your face softens, “while i was playing. it helped me focus.”
isaac searches your face for any reaction to what he said. he doesn’t expect you to lean up and kiss him, but he definitely accepts it.
you pull away slowly. your breathing a little heavy as you look up at him. “i really like you.”
his smile widens, “i really like you too.”
you chuckle as he leans in again, kissing you softly.

right where you left me - stiles stilinski x fem!reader
“did you ever hear about the girl who got frozen?”
summary: you weren’t entirely sure you were ready to go on a date, considering your last was when your then boyfriend broke up with you. so imagine the surprise when you see him at the restaurant too.
“time went on for everybody else, she won’t know it”
notes: i feel like i write too many cute and happy fics on here so here’s a change of pace, sadness and angst.
“she’s still 23 inside her fantasy, how it was supposed to be”
you brushed the front of your dress as you exited your car. you could see the restaurant’s front door from the parking lot as you took deep breaths.
agreeing to meet up with a man you barely knew for a fancy dinner date was not something you had exactly expected when you moved to a new city, but it was happening.
a fresh start had been what you needed after everything that happened, but you still weren’t sure if a date with a work colleague was exactly the best idea.
you stepped into the restaurant, the building much warmer than the cold breeze that blew outdoors, and carefully fiddled with a few stray hairs until you were soon being escorted to the table where your date was sitting.
seeing you approach, he slowly stood up with a smile to greet you.
“hi,” you gave a small wave as a waiter pulled your chair out for you. you turned your head to look back at the waiter. “oh, thank you.”
you took your seat and your date, a young man named isaac, just wouldn’t stop smiling.
“what?” you asked, puzzled slightly as you scrunched your eyebrows.
“nothing. i’m just glad you’re here,” he looked down at the menu on the table in front of him, picking it up. “do you want to order?”
your eyes drifted around the restaurant as you answered. “yeah, sounds good.”
then your breath caught in your throat at the sight of a familiar face sitting at a table not too far away.
Tumblr media
“stiles, this place is fancy,” you chuckled as the two of you were seated. “this is not our usual kind of restaurant.”
stiles didn’t say anything. he just adjusted his tie and put on a smile.
you and stiles had been together for five years, having began dating back when you were 18. and you were positive the two of you were meant to be.
you looked down at the menu, where some of the meals you could order were things you had never even heard of.
you then looked back up at your boyfriend, who hadn’t taken his eyes off of the empty wine glasses sitting on the table before you.
“you’re unusually quiet,” you spoke and he seemed to snap back to reality, meeting your eyes. “you okay?”
“yeah, i’m okay,” stiles then picked up his menu and started looking at the drinks.
soon the two of you had glasses of red wine in front of you and were waiting for your food to arrive.
stiles was still acting a little strange, giving mostly short, curt answers to your questions and seemingly zoning out every so often.
“so, what’s with the fancy restaurant, stilinski?” you asked curiously, a part of you hoping that he was going to propose to you that night.
stiles shrugged a little. “i just thought a change of pace would be nice.”
you reached out and put your hand on top of his. “well i think it’s great. we should do this more often.”
“uh, yeah,” stiles cleared his throat. “um… about that-”
before he could start talking, a waiter appeared beside your table.
“your meals.” two plates were placed down before you.
Tumblr media
“so, what are you thinking about getting?” isaac asked you and you turned to look at him again, tearing your eyes away from the man just a few feet away.
“i’m not too sure,” you forced out a small, breathy laugh. “there’s a lot to chose from.”
“i’m thinking maybe steak,” isaac told you, still looking down at his menu, and your eyes flickered over to that other table again. “you can never go wrong with steak.”
“some of these pastas sound good,” you forced yourself to talk to isaac and not be distracted by him.
“oh, i love pasta,” isaac lowered his menu to look at you. “i can make great spaghetti and meatballs.”
you smiled and looked back to your menu when a waitress approached your table.
“hi,” she smiled brightly. “are the two of you ready to order anything? otherwise i can come back around.”
“oh, drinks would be great.” isaac nodded and turned his head to you. “uh, you good with red w-”
“i’ll just have water.” you cut in, before slinking back into your chair a little. “sorry. i don’t really drink wine.”
“oh, well, we have other drink options if you’d like,” the waitress spoke but you shook your head.
“no, thank you. water’s fine.”
“okay,” the waitress smiled after taking both your drink and food orders. “i’ll be back with your drinks in just a moment.”
“thank you,” isaac then looked back to you as the waitress headed in the direction of the kitchen. “oh, hey, did you hear about what happened with james yesterday?”
james was another coworker who isaac was friends with. you kept more to yourself and only really spoke with your best friend, kira.
“no, what happened?” you asked and isaac began to tell a story of some event the day before.
but you could keep your eyes on the man sitting in front of you, and instead kept looking at the man laughing with a red-haired woman just a few tables away.
looking so happy.
Tumblr media
as you began to eat, stiles pushed his steak around with his fork.
“are you sure you’re okay, babe?” you asked as you finished your food and wiped your mouth. “you’ve barely said anything all night.”
stiles didn’t reply, or even meet your eyes. you had started to worry something was wrong.
“um, not quite,” stiles lowered his fork, sitting it next to his plate of mostly untouched food. “it’s just…”
you crossed one leg over the other as you brought your glass of wine to your lips. the dim lights reflected off of stiles’ still full glass of wine as he struggled to find the right words.
“stiles?” you spoke and he lifted his eyes to meet yours again.
“i don’t think…” stiles took a deep breath. “y/n, i think we need to break up.”
the entire moment seemed to stop as your wine glass slipped from your hand and dropped onto the table.
the glass shattered and red stained the white cloth on the table. the sudden loud noise drew a silence from the room, a number of heads turning to look.
but you paid no notice, your eyes trained on stiles, who was now struggling to keep eye contact with you.
“what?” you had to choke the word out and the silence that followed was almost deafening.
“we need to break up.” he repeated quietly and that’s when the tears began to brim in your eyes.
you didn’t get it. it had been five years. you loved him more than anything and everything had been seeming fine. what the hell changed?
Tumblr media
“so, isaac, we barely know each other outside of work,” you started creating small talk after your food arrived. “what kind of stuff do you do for fun?”
“well, i like reading,” he told you. “books mostly, but i used to love reading, like, superhero comics when i was a kid, and i still do.”
“oh, i love comics too!” you smiled, but it quickly dropped when you heard his laugh from that table.
your head turned and you looked over again.
“something wrong?” isaac asked and you shook your head.
“no, no, don’t worry,” you waved it off and sipped your water. “so you like comics? what about movies?”
you did your best to keep the conversation going, and while some topics actually lasted a while, most conversations fizzled out after a short time.
it was like the two of you couldn’t really connect.
then you glanced back at stiles at his table.
what a coincidence that he would be here of all places. especially after you moved.
then you turned your focus to the woman with him. red-hair and a bright smile.
you could only really see the back of her head, just glimpses of her face when she would turn.
but as she pushed some of her hair back, it felt like a part of you died when something caught your eye.
your heart sunk in your chest at the sight of the shiny engagement ring on her finger.
it had only been two years since you and stiles broke up. two years. and yet she was the one with the ring.
you were with stiles for five whole years and as much as you wanted one, there was never a proposal.
“y/n, are you sure nothing’s bothering you?” isaac asked and that was the moment stiles noticed you.
he had been laughing at something his fiancé had said when his smile slowly dropped and his eyes connected with yours.
that solemn look on his face was enough to transport you back to that restaurant. but a part of you was always there.
Tumblr media
“why?” your voice asked softly as the tears threatened to spill.
the wine had began to drip down from the table and onto the carpeted floor beside you.
stiles didn’t say a word, which just started to make you angry.
“stiles, why?” your voice was wavering and stiles squeezed his eyes shut for a moment. he held his hands together in front of his mouth before sighing.
“i met this girl,” he started and you could physically feel your heart break in your chest, snapping into two.
“a different girl,” that’s when you started to cry, but you did your best to keep your voice as steady as possible. “did you cheat on me?”
“no! no, i would never,” stiles’ eyes went wide before his face sank. “i just… whenever i talk to her, ever since we first met, i get this feeling. and it…”
his voice trailed off.
“go on,” you sniffled, feeling the mascara run down your face.
“it was something i hadn’t felt with you in a while.”
you stared at him. you just sat and stared.
“and it’s not that i don’t… look, i love you, y/n,” stiles reached out to grab your hand, and you were too frozen to move. “but i don’t think i’m in love with you anymore.”
those words sent your entire world crashing down. all those plans and dreams you had felt like they were just fading away, the product of your heart being destroyed by the only person you had ever trusted with it.
after almost a minute of dead silence between not only the two of you, but majority of the restaurant, you managed to find your voice again.
“what’s her name?” you asked shakily. you didn’t want to know how they met, or when. you didn’t want to know how long it had been with him thinking about doing this. you just wanted a name.
“uh, her name’s lydia,” stiles mumbled and you forced a smile, your lips trembling.
“pretty name,” you nodded and looked down at the wine-stained tablecloth.
not a word was shared between the two of you until stiles inhaled deeply, slowly standing up.
then he went up to one of the waiters, paid the bill, and left you in the restaurant. alone.
eventually the restaurant fell back into its original chatter, though there were some whispers of “what a sad sight.”
your hands found their way to your face, your elbows sitting on the table as you cried.
you sat at that table until the restaurant closed.
Tumblr media
after dessert and then paying, you and isaac started leaving the restaurant.
“i had a nice time tonight,” you told him, holding your bag close to your body. “no matter how distracted i seemed.”
the two of you had stopped on the footpath outside the door, so it wasn’t hard to notice stiles and his fiancé as they left the restaurant too.
you froze again, staring at stiles and his unreadable expression on his face.
“um,” isaac looked from your face, then followed your gaze to see stiles. “i’ll call you tomorrow. goodnight, y/n.”
“bye, isaac.”
as isaac walked away you looked down at your shoes as stiles’ fiancé kissed him.
“hey, lyd, why don’t you go to the car,” he handed her the keys. “i’ll catch up in a minute.”
“no problem,” she smiled, kissing his cheek before walking away, her high heels clicking as she went.
there was a silence as you looked up to watch her.
“hey,” stiles spoke to you, taking a few steps so he was standing beside you. it had been so long since he was this close.
“hi,” you mumbled before sighing. “so that’s lydia.”
“yeah,” stiles nodded. “that’s her.”
“she’s pretty,” you said softly. “really pretty.”
“yeah, she is,” a faint smile ghosted on stiles’ lips and you looked down.
“are you in love with her?” you asked and there was a quiet moment on stiles’ end.
“yeah, i am,” he answered and it was like you were in that restaurant all over again, sitting beneath the dim lights and feeling your heart breaking in your chest.
all those emotions had come back a second time and realizing he would never be able to love you like that made you want to cry.
“congratulations, by the way,” you told him. “when’s the wedding?”
“a few months,” he replied, his hands slipping into the pockets of his pants.
there was a silence between the two of you for a moment.
“i’m sorry, y/n,” stiles spoke and you shrugged.
you were still in that restaurant, the moment constantly played over in your head. the exact moment he told you that after five years, he didn’t want to be with you anymore.
he wasn’t in love with you anymore.
a part of you wished he would take everything back. decide he didn’t actually want to be with lydia. that he would come back to you, and you would gladly fall in love with him all over again, because you never really fell out of love.
then, once again, stiles left you alone at a restaurant.
you watched as he walked down to the parking lot and climbed into the driver’s seat of a car, kissing lydia after he closed the door.
of course in your mind, that was you he was kissing. the two of you were still happily together, the way things were supposed to be.
in your fantasy, stiles had proposed to you that night at the restaurant and the two of you got married, and there was only happiness and love between the two of you.
but as you watched the car pull out of the parking lot, reality hit you in the face again and you were ripped from your delusions as the car disappeared around the corner.
so you took a deep breath and forced one foot in front of the other, finally walking to your car.

TW: Smut, oral (fem receiving), use of pet names, claws, nipple play
+16 read at your own risk. I’m not your mommy A/N: first smut to write + english isn’t my first lang word count: 2.5K
Tumblr media
You were at school, leaning against your locker. smiling at and laughing with Stiles, until you caught Isaac glaring at you across the hall, visibly upset.
"alright Stiles I've got to go now, I'll see ya" you walked away after Stiles nodded and walked to Scott, and you made your way to Isaac.
"hey" you flashed him a smile and he blushed. How could he not? he thought you were the most beautiful thing ever.
The beta glanced over Stiles before turning back to you. "hey.." he spoke softly.
"Just tired... I uhh, I’ve got a lot on my mind lately" he said slowly and softly, not wanting to ruin this moment between you two.
You nodded slowly, feeling bad for him. "well you know, you can always talk to me" you said softly, reassuring him that he's got someone by his side.
You watched him closely as he looked at you quietly, and you didn't want to rush him to speak, you knew how sensitive Isaac is. It made him feel pathetic when he opened up to anyone or asked for help, that's what his dad has taught him. That a man is a man, boys don't cry, but Isaac knew you, he loved you, trusted you, and he knew your listen and get him anytime.
"I've just been going back.. thinking about my family" He looked down as his expression softened.
"oh" you whispered softly and placed your hand on the boy's back, rubbing it gently. "I know you've suffered from your dad your whole life, but his death Isn’t your fault".
Isaac flinched, but he didn't move away from you. Even though your gesture was tiny, it felt huge to him, It made him on top of the world. He let out a soft sigh and ran his fingers through his hair. "I know... I just-" he paused, unsure if he can keep going or not, but he really counted on you, so he kept going. "I didn't even cry at the funeral and everyone thinks I don't care, that I was wishing the whole time i'd get rid of him, and the problem is.. it's true. I was relieved that he's dead"
"Honey listen to me" you took a step closer, placing both your hands on his shoulder. "your dad used to lock you in a freezer. that night.. that night he hurt you and you ran like any other night, because you didn't know what he would die" you then place your hand on isaac's cheek, caressing it softly "you were just scared, you did nothing wrong"
Isaac paused for a moment and leaned into your touched as he shivered. The relief he felt when his father died was a burden to him, but he knew you were saying the truth so he bit his lip thoughtfully. He wanted to say that your hand felt to right on his skin, but he didn't and rubbed his face with his hand then looked at you hesitantly as he spoke. "I- Iwas scared" his voice trembled as he stammered softly, making you unsure if he meant you to hear him. he slowly smiled at you softly and leaned into your touch again, causing his breath to hitch.
you sighed softly as you try to build up some courage and confidence to ask him to go out with you, but you were too scared that he'd turn you down so you just looked quietly at the ground until you heard a familiar 5 taps on the locker next to you and looked to the direction to see lydia. She must have noticed your flustered face because she tilted her head at Isaac and winked at you. You two have been talking about it and she was eager for you to confess to him, and apparently she was so sure Isaac wouldn't let you down for a reason she wouldn't tell.
you snapped out of my trance as Isaac cleared his throat and looked at the same direction you were just looking at, except there was nobody there.
"sorry about that. I was just wondering if you would want to go home with me? I mean-" You paused and took a deep breath. "why don't you come over and we can just.. relax?" you asked nervously as he just looked at you quietly. "Scott's sneaking out with Allison again and our mom won't be home until ten.. so I was thinking if you'd want to just come over instead of staying alone or with Derek, he could be lame sometimes" I chuckle nervously and put on a fake confident grin.
Isaac stayed quiet for a moment or two, taking in your words, and he thought there was no way he could turn that down, the thought of you and him alone in the house with no distractions. He knew he wanted it but he wasn't sure if you did. if you were just doing him a favour because you felt bad, but he decided to push his paranoia to the side and smiled at you softly with a blush on his cheek, nodding. "I'd like that, if you're okay with it"
"ahh perfect! we are gonna have so much fun! we can watch the notebook too if you want to, or maybe cook or play or just" you pause for a second or two, not wanting to creep Isaac out with your sudden excitement. "we could just.. chill you know?" You looked up at him with a smile.
The two of you walked to your house, as Stiles has already left with his jeep, and while you were walking you felt Isaac's hand brush against yours until he took it in, intertwining your fingers together. you could feel how his hand shakes softly and you knew his stomach was probably flipping, he was a nervous wreck.
You held his hand confidently the way home until you reached it and opened the front door for the two of you. After walking in, you turned to Isaac and smiles. "do you wanna stay in the living room, or go to my room? or we can even cook something!" you asked excitedly.
"Your room...?" He asked hesitantly. Your room was usually off limits, that's where you go to relax on your own, away from the pack. He couldn't deny how much he wanted to be there with you. But part of him knows it won't end at just being in your room. Not that he had a problem but that he was worried from Scott's reaction if he knew Isaac was in his sister's room alone in the house. Scott and Isaac were best friends and Isaac didn't want to risk it, but he still loved you.
you saw the look on isaac's face as he started to look overwhelmed, and more anxious than he was, so you decided to cool it down. "I mean it's okay but if you don't want to that's fine. we can sit in the living room" you shrugged, leaving the decision for him to make as you looked at his eyes.
Isaac nodded slowly, looking at your lips then your eyes. "your room" he said softly and carelessly. He wanted to be with you alone. he didn't care what scott would think, he didn't care what the whole pack would think, he only cared about you and being with you, he wanted you.
you smiled and tilted your head for him to follow you. you walked past Scott's room until you reached your room then you walked to the bed, After taking off your shoes, sitting on the bed, then patting on the space next to you for Isaac to sit on.
Isaac followed you to your room, closing his door behind him. His heart skipped a beat when you asked him to sit next to you and the only thing he could think of is how nervous he is. he looked at you and he thought you look so vulnerable, sitting alone waiting for him to join you, so he took a few steps, trying to regulate his breath before sitting next to you. He was so close and nervous, slowly turning his neck to look at you.
"so.. what would you like to do?" you asked softly, trying to make sure he's not uncomfortable.
Isaac looked at you and for the first time he has walked in the room, he didn't know what to say. A part of him wanted to kiss you and see what happened but he didn't want to make you pressured, and he didn't want to risk kissing Scott's sister, he was the leader of the pack, so he let the silence between you linger before he decided to break the ice.
"can I be honest with you?" he stressed.
"of course, I won't judge" i nodded in reassurance
Isaac struggles to speak so he leans closer to you. He just wants you to understand him, he needs you to know how he feels, what he's been thinking of, but it's hard for someone like him, someone whom emotions always were rejected. He took a deep breath and leaned closer as his eyes fluttered between your lips and eyes then he opened his mouth to speak but he failed so he looked one more time at you before smashing his lips on yours as he moved one hand on the back of your neck as the other ran over your back to your hips, pulling your whole body into his lap while you froze in shock before pulling him closer, cupping his cheeks while you kissed him back with the same amounts of passion.
After a few moments he pulls away, and looks at you in shock, he had expected everything other than you kissing him back.
"I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have kissed you and if scott finds out he's gonna kill me and-" you cut him off pulling him in another kiss, slowly pushing him to lay down as you move on top of him.
"Scott doesn't have to know" you whispered pulling him in a deeper kiss that made him forget everything.
he was in a daze as he pulled away from you. "you look so beautiful when you kiss me like that" he said softly with a soft smirk that caused you to blush.
He smiled softly as he gently ran his fingers thorough your hair. "you're so beautiful you know? it's just so hard to focus on anything else when we are like that, when you're with me. We can take this as slow as you want"
you pulled him for a kiss in response, breaking it as you smiling against lips, and he moaned softly, slipping his hands under your shirt, caressing your soft skin.
"i want this. you. Right here, right now, But I also don't want to hurt you so tell me what you want, darling." he whisper in your ear as his breath hit your neck, causing you to shiver.
"i want you, please" you whined and pulled him into another kiss as your tongue begged for entrance in his mouth. he let out a soft involuntary moan, as his caresses on your back got faster. His tongue danced with your and he began to grind on you, making you feel the hard bulge in his jeans that rubbed your throbbing pussy, until you pulled away from the kiss breathlessly, pushing him up by his chest, reaching to his shirt, playing with a soft fabric slowly. He sat up on his knees in front of you between your legs, taking off his shirt. You looked up at him, slowly placing the balm of your hand on his chest, tracing your finger over it to his stomach. He let out a low groan while he watched you trace your fingers over his chest, his muscles tensed under your touch.
"you're killing me honey" He whispered, moving closer to you as he kissed your neck slowly, then he sat up again as his hands found their way between your legs. Should undo your bra, or maybe start with these pants?" he teased, and sprung his claws out, moving them swiftly above you, tearing off your clothes.
"i loved that set" you pouted and he smirked
"i'll get you new ones" he pulled your clothes off your body, tossing them away on the floor with his shirt.
He smirked when he saw the blush on your face when you looked away, leaning down to your neck. "don't be shy baby" he whispered, before tracing kissed down your collarbone.
you moaned softly, moving your hands to caress his back softly and he let out a sigh against your skin. His hands found your thighs as he rubbed them slowly, kissing lower and lower. His kisses and nibbles reached your chest, taking a nipple in his mouth, swirling and sucking around it while he groped the other one with his hand, pinching the other nipple between his thumb and forefinger teasingly.
"I love you, so much" He showered your stomach with smooches and pecks, until his mouth found your slit, running his tongue through your wetness, humming in satisfaction. "so wet baby" he flicked your clit with his tongue as you struggled to answer him back, running your fingers through his hair as you pulled them gently. He took one of his hand, wrapping it around my waist to keep me down while he slid a finger in you with the other, slowly and gently, causing you to moan softly.
he sucked your clit harder making you pull his hair tightly, causing him to moan which vibrates against your pussy as his fingers go faster, feeling you clench around them, sucking them in. "Fuck Isaac" you whined. "i'm so close" you whispered, wondering if he even heard you, then he confirmed as he added a finger in, moving his fingers in a scissoring motion, stretching you out as you pull his hair tighter. "Isaac!" you warned, and he understood as you reached your climax, coating his fingers with your cum while he kept his gaze on you then he pulled them out, lapping at your pussy hungrily, taking in your juices.
"you're so sweet baby" he moved up to kiss you as you taste your own arousal. He pulled away from the kiss and you bit your lip, panting for air and you moved your hand to his head, pulling him back down to kiss you, you couldn't get enough of him.

Hello! 15 and/or 17 from prompt list + Isaac please 🥺
send me one of my boys + a prompt
isaac + reader ⋆ finding someone flirting with your crush, but all they have is eyes for you, and on you + almost kissing. but somebody walks in. "HOLY FUCK, ABOUT TIME THIS HAPPENS! I'M SO SORRY, PLEASE CONTINUE—"
parties are fun. everyone loves parties. every high schooler loves a good fucking party. you get to drink, maybe even get a little high if you know the right people. listen to good music, dance with your friends. always a good time.
well not for you.
for you it meant drinking, yes, which meant a goddamn headache the next day, dancing, having fun, yes, all of that, and on top of that, it meant watching the boy of your dreams being, for lack of a better word, chased around, by girls your age. and younger. and older. sometimes it was amusing, you could see the panic in his eyes. sometimes the girl was so gorgeous you couldn't help but look away, go somewhere else. get some fresh air, so you wouldn't have to watch anything hurtful.
you were in lov—interested in isaac for... a while, ever since he officially joined the pack, you've been playing it cool, maintaining his glance when he looked at you for a few seconds before turning away so it wouldn't be obvious, making your best not to smell his beautiful curly hair every time he hugged you... but you were only human, and he wasn't. you couldn't always control your heartbeat, so you were sure he knew it. he had to. he just wasn't interested. hurtful, but you'd live. eventually.
by 1am you're more than tipsy, and apparently so is the stunningly beautiful girl who very much on purpose tripped in front of isaac, forcing him to hold her by the waist so she wouldn't fall face first. she's charming thanking him, flirty, you know the routine by now, it's time to turn around and get some air, and you would have if stiles didn't appear out of nowhere in front of you talking about one hundred words per second. he really shouldn't drink.
while stiles asks you if his clothes are okay, if there's too much gel in his hair, if he smells nice and if he's annoying (right now he is) because every girl he tried to flirt with ignored him, you were—ignoring him. because you were forced to stay and you couldn't not look at isaac.
and his piercing blue eyes were looking right back at you, it didn't matter how many times the beautiful girl touched his arms, or laughed at him, his eyes were still on you. you selfishly wonder if the girl was just too much of a bore or... if he did that when you weren't looking, like you did when he wasn't looking. the thought makes your heart beat twice as fast, your cheeks flush and isaac notices it, obviously, smirking at you in a mischievous way you had never seen before.
that literally took your breath away, you had to leave. you finished your drink in one mouthful, handing your red cup to the still talking boy in front of you, "sure stiles, you're totally right." he looks confused, but you don't care. you turn in a rush to find the nearest unlocked door.
a room. not a good decision for whoever this house belonged to (you had no idea anymore), but you were so glad. you closed the door behind you in a swift motion and immediately start pacing around, your hands going to your face, through your hair and to your face again as you tried to take a deep breath but could only achieve a few not so deep ones.
"we don't have the money to pay for new floors if you drill a hole on these, gorgeous." your feet freeze on the spot as you hear his voice, sweet, humorous, flirty? you didn't even need to look at him to know he had that grin stamped on his lips.
"isa... what're you doing here?" your lips might as well be gone by how much you're nibbling on them, your hands gripping so hard on your own waist your nails might cut flash any time soon.
"chasing after you, obviously." god, could he not be so straight to the point for once? you nod your head countless times after he shrugs that reply out at you.
"sure... sure sure sure sure... why?" and he's grinning again, getting closer to you.
"well, this is the first time it actually looked like you wanted me and not to die." you keep nodding, and you feel like you're sweating more than normal, "so we're gonna make out, and hopefully i'm right about this." your eyes widen but you don’t move as he moves your arms from your waist to his, his hands holding your neck and he’s so close now you’re the one hearing his heartbeat. just as fast as yours.
so maybe when he looked at you there was reason to it, and maybe his hugs did linger and it wasn’t you holding on too long. maybe the times he told you to wear one of his jerseys to lacrosse matches were because he wanted to see you in his clothes, cheering for him, and not because he was friendly.
"i—i kinda wanted to die—i thought you didn't even look at me." you confessed in a murmur, he chuckled, leaning in, lips terribly close, virtually touching yours—but the door opened abruptly and the noise from the party flooded the otherwise quiet room.
stiles.
STILES.
"HOLY FUCK, ABOUT TIME THIS HAPPENS! I'M SO SORRY, PLEASE CONTINUE—" he doesn't have to say twice, you were still stunned by his interruption when isaac pulled you completely to him, kissing you passionately, hoping stiles would get a clue and leave (he did).
his hands were firm, but oh so gentle as he deepened the kiss, it sends shivers down your spine, it was intense, maybe it was the alcohol, or the fact he had wanted to do that for a really long time now.
every brush of his lips to yours was like putting more fire to a flame and you gripped to his shirt with both your hands as you moved together in perfect rhythm. it felt like a second and an eternity at the same time, you could feel isaac's body heat mixed to yours, having to part to breathe was torture.
isaac looked at you and his eyes shared the same hunger as yours, he quickly took one of your hands to his, leaving the room in quick steps as he pulled you behind with him, "so i was right, and we're leaving the party, is that okay?" he looks at you, still walking, and you can only nod, after all, parties are fun, and one with him alone is definitely more your taste.

Creep Alert - Teen Wolf Preference
Tumblr media
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Because someone has made me very uncomfortable at weekly pinball and I would like to take Theo.
Stiles: Okay he's not always the most observant person around, he will be talking to himself trying to figure something out or keep walking not realizing someone else has come up and gone all up in your space. When he turns about and you are visibly uncomfortable he RUNS back, trip/sliding between you and the guy pushing his hand off. Might have yelled "CREEP ALERT" on his way over, mile a minute talking asking if you're okay, did they do anything? name drops that he is the son of the sheriff and can get that guy written up for harassment. "Do you want to file a report on him? I'll call dad right now. Don't you go anywhere, we're not done here- PARRISH!" Spots a squad car and shouts over (it was not Parrish) and it becomes mess. But it certainly did the job.
Scott: Good of heart, dumb of ass. Despite his wolf instinct telling him to destroy the threat, he comes over the moment your scent turns distressed. He comes up right next to you with a comforting hand on your arm and inserts himself into the conversation. Genuinely not realizing this guy's intentions or what's going on besides you're uncomfortable and asks what's going on. Usually he's enough to diffuse the situation, but if someone's persistent he'll instead have you both leave.
Lydia: Has been in this kind of scenario too many times that she sees it coming across the room before anyone talks to you. She's learned exactly how to handle herself, either sweetly or with words that cut. Or if she had a 'big, strong, man' to handle it for her. Lydia's at your side immediately, telling them you're not interested and how far she'll shove her heel up their ass.
Liam: Sure, mess with the S/O of the werewolf kid with IED, that's a good idea. He doesn't usually stray far from your side but a few steps away was enough for someone to take his spot and feel a little too comfortable getting in your space and questioning you. His gaze shoots to you as discomfort sours your scent. He speeds over, eyes flashing gold and getting right in their face with you behind him. Not afraid to get physical if they want to keep it up.
Also if it's Brett coming to flirt with you, either because he's a slut or just to try and piss Liam off and you really are uncomfortable with his advances, all bets are off. Claws are out and he wants blood, it's a whole scene.
Isaac: At first it's a little harder for Isaac to come to your rescue, even though he's a werewolf now he's not used to the kind of confidence of doing something like this. You were always the one to try and protect him, and never faulted him when he didn't come to your defense, just trying to make sure you were okay after.
But now he's a werewolf, he can do better. He stronger. Intimidating. Despite everything, he still had to psych himself up walking over to you, who is obviously uncomfortable. He's not sure how to insert himself, but he is quite noticeable and doesn't have to do much. Being so much taller (and chest puffed) than your pest, they take the smart move to leave. Visibly deflate and swallows after that interaction and asks if you're okay. Gets bashful when you call him your knight.
Malia: No filter and very brash. People have thought of messing with her but the energy she gives off and feral look in her eye is almost always enough to deter them first. You though, are not so lucky. Already very standoffish, once she sense someone is making you uncomfortable she is staring them down and growling, barely keeping her claws in even as they leave.
Derek: He normally is overprotective of you, usually you just roll your eyes at his worries. But you certainly feel safe with a scowling sourwolf beside you. Until he's gone a few minutes too long and someone thinks that's their chance.
When he sees someone crowding in on you he's speeding right through the crowd and shoving them backwards hard enough to make them stumble and once they're thoroughly scared shitless by his hardened stare to flee, he's trying to get you to leave grumbling how "we never should have come here anyway."

you tell them you're pregnant / part 2
Tumblr media
Isaac Lahey
He doesn't believe his ears. He makes you repeat it because he's not sure he heard you correctly.
"Isaac, I'm pregnant." You repeat.
You had known for a few days now. You were in a world of emotions already between your own emotions and wondering what Isaac would think when he found out.
There was no beating around the bush when you told him.
You weren't that far along to notice. If you hadn't missed your period, you probably would not have suspected anything yourself.
He blinked, turning his head as if he was taking in everything you were saying.
You stood in front of him, your hair still damp from the shower you had just taken.
"And here I thought you were about to tell me about something you were thinking in the shower." He chuckled nervously, feeling his hands starting to get clammy and he rubbed them around his pj bottoms. "Pregnant?"
You just nodded your head.
"Is this why you've been so quiet the past few days?" He met your eyes again.
You weren't sure what to say. You were terrified what was going through his mind.
"I can't say I'm not freaking out a little," He started before rising to his feet to lift your chin to look at him. He couldn't lie. He was freaking out between the trauma he was slowly recovering from with his father and trying to keep it from coming between the two of you. But right now he knew how much he needed you.
You look out the shaky breath you were holding in and he stroked his finger across your cheek. "But I'm here."
He presses a kiss to the side of your head, pulling you into his arms to hold you tight. "I'm here."
Tumblr media
Theo Raeken
You knew it wasn't smart to be going behind your brother's back with Theo but you couldn't help yourself. And let's be honest Theo wasn't helping either.
"Theo, I need to tell you something." You mumbled against his lips as he started to pull his jacket down his arm.
It wasn't hard to hide it when everyone hated Theo, including you. You played the role so well.
At least that was the case.
"What is it?" His mouth left yours only to continue working kisses down your jaw and along your neck. You could barely think around him.
Your hands pushed against his chest, leaning away from him to pry his lips from your neck. He held onto your waist as he finally met your eyes.
"What's wrong?"
Liam was going to kill you.
You swallowed hard. Everything. "I'm pregnant, Theo."
You could feel how tense the air had grown around you in just a few second. Neither of you had said a word for a while, but his arms never moved from around you.
You moved to pull the two positive pregnancy tests from your back pocket to show him. His eyes followed your hand.
"I'm sorry. This isn't how I wanted things to go either, but I'm terrified. And Liam- Liam is going to-"
His name was like a trigger for the both of you. Considering Liam was your brother and about the only person who gave Theo any sort of a chance aside from you. "He's gonna have to get over it." He finally spoke.
"I don't want to ruin things for you. I know you've been trying to do better with everyone."
"I'm not worried about that." He admitted as his large hands caressed along your back comfortingly. "This matters more to me than trying to appease them." He nodded his head towards you.
Your cheeks blushed a deep crimson before hiding your face into his chest.
Tumblr media
Peter Hale
You were curled up on the couch watching a movie with Peter after a long day of both of you helping Scott's pack.
A blanket was draped across both of you and a bowl of popcorn sitting on his lap.
You had known the exciting news for a week now and you couldn't wait any longer to share it with him.
Not that you had been trying to get pregnant, but it was a topic discussed a few times and you both weren't against being parents. You had been married two years now. It was nothing you were in a hurry to do, but now that it was happening. It felt like it was meant to be.
You reached a hand into the bowl to grab some popcorn, smiling to yourself as you kept your eyes on the tv screen.
"So what if I told you I may or may not be pregnant?" You tossed the popcorn in your mouth.
His fingers tracing against your back stilled and he lifted his head off the couch cushion to look at you.
"Are you?"
You struggled to bite back the grin on your lips, peeking over at find his soft eyes already on you.
"I am."
You watched his lips curl into a smile, knocking over the popcorn over to pull you into his lap. "Oh my god Peter. I was eating that."
His arms wrapped around your body to cuddle you on his lap. "I've been waiting for you to say something. I knew something was off." He kissed the corner of your mouth, glazing a large hand over your stomach.
"You knew? What?"
He taps his ear with a smirk. "You're married to a werewolf, baby. This is old news."

Isaac Lahey x Reader : All The Things I love
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Story Summary: Isaac asks to borrow your notes for a Math assignment but learned more than he expected to learn from them.
Notes: Fluffy. This has been in my WIP's for way too long. I wasn't sure if it was good enough to finish writing it, but now I have.
Word count of this fic:  2900
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
After getting home from school, you had put a pizza in the oven to eat for dinner.
And as you waited for it to be ready, you were busy writing down some things on the list you had been working on. It had started as just a way to put your thoughts into something else to clear your head from them, sadly that plan had not worked out so far. This particular list grew a little longer every day.
When your doorbell rang, you left the small notebook on your desk as you hurried to see who it was.
The second you opened the door you were met with Isaac’s blue eyes and wide smile.
“Hi, sorry for not calling before coming over.” He looked nervous, as if you would slam the door shut on him.
You shook your head at his shyness and gestured for him to come inside “Don’t worry about it. My friends are always welcome.”
He relaxed immediately, his smile grew wider. “I’m…. I’m glad to hear it.”
Usually Isaac always called or texted before coming over, something must have caused him to forget.
You could see that he looked a bit stressed about something, “You know you are always welcome here, Isaac. But is there a particular reason for this unexpected visit ?”
By his expression you could tell that there was a good reason.
“It’s about the math assignment for tomorrow… I uh… I lost my notes.” Isaac sheepishly confessed.
“Lost or forgot to take notes ?” You quirked a brow at him.
He looked guilty now, making it clear that it was the latter.
You decided not to torture him with it, “You can borrow mine.”
The sigh of relief coming from him made you laugh.
“Thanks, y/n. I owe you.” He smiled.
“Yes. You do, Lahey.” You teased, patting his arm with your hand.
You failed to notice how he drew a sharp breath when you touched his arm, and he leaned a little into the touch.
Then the smell of burned pizza reached your nostrils.
“Oh, crap!” You loudly exclaimed before running out of the room. You stopped and turned to him, quickly pointing at your desk. “The notes are over there. It’s the large notebook.”
He nodded quickly, finding it pretty funny to see your reaction to the burned pizza, “I kinda have to go, I gotta go to the store to get some stuff before it closes. I’ll text you later?”
“Okay!” You called back to him and he heard you curse in the kitchen.
He walked over to your desk and took the notebook from it before heading to the door. “Found them! Thanks for the notes!”
“See you tomorrow!” You shouted whilst trying to scrape the burned parts off of the crust of the pizza.
The door opened and closed, alerting you that he had left
After cleaning out the oven, and trying to salvage some of the pizza, you walked back into the living room and noticed the notes were still on your desk. Didn’t Isaac need them?
It was only then that you realized something was wrong.
You had been writing in your diary when Isaac had come to your house, and in your haste you had forgotten to put the diary back in it’s safe place, aka under your mattress.
You were quick to realize what had happened and panicked immediately. Not only did the diary contain your deepest secrets, thoughts and wishes. It also contained the truth about your feelings for him.
He had accidentally taken the little notebook instead of the large one.
“Dammit, Isaac.” You whined in frustration. Why had he taken the wrong one???
You quickly dialed his number, hoping you could reach him before he realized the mix up.
.•° ✿ °•. °•. ✿ .•° .•° ✿ °•. °•. ✿ .•° .•° ✿ °•. °•. ✿ .•° .•° ✿ °•. °•. ✿ .•° .•° ✿ °•.
Isaac had just begun to work on the assignment for math, well… he had taken a piece of paper to write on at least.
He took your notebook into his hand, while writing down his name on the paper, and opened it.
It wasn’t until he saw that by skimming through the pages and seeing no solved math problems, or many numbers for that matter, that he realized something was off.
He stopped on a random page and read just a couple of sentences that he thought were going to be one of those weird questions that came with a math problem.
This wasn’t a math problem, this was you describing an embarrassing situation you had been in weeks ago that he could vaguely recall.
He sat upright on his chair instantly when he figured out what the notebook in his hand really was.
“Oh… oh no…” Isaac panicked and the diary fell out of his hands by accident.
Clumsily he fished it up from he ground, it fell again when inches above the ground and this time he picked it up more carefully. He quickly tried to fold the pages back neatly again where they had crumpled from hitting the floor. His eyes fell on a page inside as he tried to fix it’s now messy state. It looked like two lists. It was not a grocery list or something. No.
The first list was titled ‘Bucket list’, where you had named all the things you still wanted to do in life. Some had been scratched off, it brought a smile to his face to see that you had already achieved some of these.
Then he took a quick look at the other list below it.
His mind went blank the second he read the title of the list.
~“All The Things I Love About Isaac”~
He knew he should have closed your diary and not invade your privacy. But his eyes were glued to the list naming everything you apparently loved about him. It even included things he felt insecure about. The last thing you mentioned was how he never gave up, even if things got hard. It looked like you had started to write something else down but stopped before finishing it, making it undecipherable to him.
Only when his phone rang did he snap your diary shut, as if he had just been caught.
When he looked at his phone, your name was lighting up on the screen.
He got ridiculously nervous as he answered the call.
“Y/n, hey, what’s up ?” He cleared his throat.
You sounded just as nervous when you answered, “Hey… uhm… about those notes you borrowed for class? Did you… uhm… did you work on the assignment yet?”
“No!” He answered a bit too quickly, realizing that he could pretend he never looked inside the diary in the first place. “No.. uh I didn’t.”
You let out a sigh of relief, believing that he had not even noticed yet that those were not notes. “Oh, great. Uhm… You took the wrong… notes. Don’t bother looking at them. Could you bring those back… I… I really need them.”
He sighed in relief as well. “Sure thing. No problem. I’ll be right there. Maybe we could work on the assignment together ?”
“That would be nice. See you in a couple of minutes then?” You asked.
“You bet.” Isaac quickly answered.
“Okay, be careful on your way here, alright? It’s dark outside.” You told him.
That was sweet of you to say…
“Don’t you worry about me, I’ll be right over.”
“Alright. See you soon. Bye.”
“Bye.”
The call disconnected and Isaac breathed out deeply.
Even though you seemed to believe that he had not looked at those ‘notes’ yet, he got incredibly nervous. Why would you write a list like that in your diary?
Maybe you knew another ‘Isaac’?
No…. no.
You would have told him if you knew someone else with the same name.
Did you write it because you had feelings for him?
He couldn’t just ask you about it, you would be so mad at him if you found out he did read your diary.
He swallowed hard, he would have to find another way to figure out the truth.

As promised, your doorbell rang not much later and you found Isaac on your doorstep holding a pizza box in his hands. The smell of the warm pizza flowed inside the house the second you opened the door for him.
“I uh… Thought you might want some pizza that doesn’t taste like ashes.” He showed you the box.
“You’re so sweet.” You told him while taking the box from his hands. “I’ll put it on the table so we can share while working on the assignment.”
Isaac was quick to pull the small notebook from the inside of his jacket. “I brought this back, do you want me to put it on your desk?”
You hurried over after putting the pizza down on the table and took your diary from his hands. “I’ll take care of that. Thanks.”
The diary was placed under a big stack of books on your desk and you handed him the notebook that had the notes he had been after.
He didn’t open the notebook until you were both sat at the table, and eating a slice of pizza while working on the assignment together.
An hour had passed and he found it difficult to keep his attention on the assignment. He tried but his eyes always found their way back to you. He should be studying the notes in front of him, but instead he was studying your face. Your eyes, your nose, your lips…
Only when he heard you say the word ‘List’ did he snap out of his thoughts.
“What ?” He asked, panic in his voice.
You repeated what you’d just said, “I said we should make a list with all the stuff we have completed for this assignment so far. It will help us stay organized.”
He swallowed hard, his voice wavering a little when he said, “Sure. Yeah. Great idea. Good plan. Let’s do that.”
You looked back at him, picking up on the strange atmosphere.
“Do you know someone else who’s got my name?” Isaac suddenly asked.
“Huh?” That was a weird question. “No, why?”
“Just curious.” He mumbled a bit.
You blinked twice, narrowing your eyes a little at him, “Isaac, what’s going on with you? You’ve been acting distracted since you arrived here.”
He chuckled nervously and shrugged his shoulders. “Nothing. Nothing’s going on with me. Let’s uh… let’s work on that… list.”
He tried.
He tried so damn hard to not make that word come out differently.
But it did, and in your head it finally clicked.
Now it was you that began to fumble nervously with your pen.
He saw. He saw. He saw…
The words repeated themselves in your head over and over again.
Isaac must have seen the list, he was acting… off.
And the way he had just struggled to say ‘list’ was what set off your alarm bells.
No wonder he was acting strange, he must have read the list in your diary about him.
But…
Surely if he had seen the list, he would have said something about it? Hell, it would have been the perfect opportunity for him to confess his own feelings to you… if he had feelings for you…
But he kept quiet and you swallowed the lump forming in your throat.
Deep down you knew he had seen, he was acting different and you knew him well enough to know he was lying just now.
You wished you had never made that stupid list.
All he could think about was to not let it show that he had read your diary. You would be so angry, maybe even hurt that he had invaded your privacy in such a way.
He couldn’t bring up that list, he didn’t have the guts to tell you that he knew that you liked him as more than just a friend.
There was an uncomfortable silence and he feared that when his voice had broken on the word ‘list’ that he was caught in the lie.
Isaac was fishing for words in his mind, anything to get a normal conversation going again. Anything but this cutting silence between you.
But you were the one that broke the silence.
“It’s getting late. We should stop for today.” You said without looking at him.
A frown graced his face at your words, “You sure ?”
You nodded as you started to gather your things to put them away in your backpack. “Yeah. I’m sure.”
He blinked a few times, feeling that the atmosphere between you had shifted to something… colder.
“Alright… maybe we could watch a movie together now?” His voice betrayed how the situation was making him nervous.
You shook your head and managed to send him a small smile that didn’t reach your eyes. “Sorry, Isaac. I’m… I feel pretty tired.”
It was then that he knew that you just didn’t want him to be there any longer.
He gave a nod, the hopeful smile faded from his face, “Okay then. Are you alright ?”
You evaded his eyes as you nodded and tried to brush it off. “Yeah. Yeah, I’m fine. Really… just tired. I’ll see you in school tomorrow, right?”
He felt small relief at that, at least you still wanted to see him.
“You bet.” He said.
With that he silently gathered his stuff as well before leaving your place.
On his way home he kept thinking of solutions to make this right again.
Perhaps he should have just told the truth about reading some of your diary. Now you had figured it out yourself and he could sense that it had upset you.
He needed to think of a way to handle this situation before he would have to face you again tomorrow.

The next day, you didn’t see him until you had already taken a seat at your desk in math class. You opened your backpack only to realize your math notebook was missing.
Just then, Isaac walked into class and put the notebook down on your desk before taking seat at his own behind you.
“Thanks.” You whispered to him, even though there were a ton of loose papers now sticking out from between the notebook.
They were all filled with the stuff he had worked on the previous evening beside you.
You went through them for a moment to see if there was anything useful for you as well on them.
One of those sheets of paper caught your attention, at first you thought it was just a paper with some extra notes on it, but then you read what was written on it.
It was a list… about you.
You slowly looked over your shoulder, back to Isaac. If there had been any doubt in your mind that he had put the list there for you to find, it was banished when your eyes found his.
You saw him take a deep breath, saw him reading your expression and then finally he shyly smiled.
A smile that failed to truly hide how nervous and afraid he was.
But that feeling vanished when you send him a bright smile back.
You were practically beaming with joy as you quickly turned your eyes back to the front of the class.
Isaac watched as you carefully folded the list and put the folded paper in your pocket.
Neither of you were able to focus much on the lesson for the rest of the class.
When math class ended, you were out of that classroom fast and waited for him by the door.
He walked out, his own notebook in hand, in search of you.
“I’m sorry for yesterday.” He apologized. “I’m an idiot, I know. I should have said something but I was afraid you’d be upset that I looked inside your diary.”
“How much did you read of it?” You asked him.
Isaac decided to tell the truth. “Just the part about that time you slipped over the wet floor. And those two lists.”
Your face burned, he had truly read the list about him…
“Thank you for telling me the truth now.” You smiled shyly, “And for what you wrote on that list you made about me. No one has ever said such sweet things about me before.”
The list he had made about you was full of praise and compliments. And everything he loved so much about you.
“I forgot to add one more thing on that list.” Isaac quietly said.
You bit your lip in expectation, “What?”
“What I love about you, is you.” He confessed, feeling the nerves crash into him with full force.
Your gaze fell to the floor when feeling how your heart was trying to escape your rib cage.
“And I forgot to add something on my bucket list.” You quietly told him, “Something I want to scratch off of it too.”
“What?” He looked a little confused.
“A kiss from you.” You send him your most alluring smile.
His brow arched in surprise, his mouth fell a little agape. “Oh.”
You laced your fingers in that scarf he had decided to wear, even though it wasn’t cold, and pulled him to your lips.
Isaac’s soft lips caressed yours, you parted only to look him in the eyes, he closed the space between you again instantly.
You were right to write down his lips as one of the things you loved about him.
And so was he to write yours down on the list he had made about you.
