Ok hear me out, this is gonna get a little weird. So in The High Republic: Light of the Jedi. It was mentioned that Jedi romance novels exist.

So it’s more than likely that RealPersonFiction also exists in Star Wars. So does that mean that there’s a Star Wars equivalent to Ao3 or Wattpad? Or even After?! Imagine one day a Jedi, most likely Obi-Wan or Anakin (although I could see stuff getting written about almost any Jedi) is just chilling and then they hear that the hottest new romance novel that’s getting a series of movies was original based on them in an X Reader fanfic. I bet everyone on Star Wars booktok or something like that would be recommending it all over their page.

This would be a fun crack fic idea.

RPF! Vanessa is Vanessa Stephen Bell and her titular sister is Virginia Stephen Woolf. The book is a novelization of the real life love triangle between Virginia, Vanessa, and Vanessa's husband, Clive Bell, significantly before Virginia began publishing or met Leonard Woolf. The familial drama is told from Vanessa's POV and set amongst the Bloomsbury Group, a real life self-proclaimed collective of artists, authors, and critics in London in the early 20th c that included EM Forster, Lytton Strachey, etc. I loved this because I've long been interested in the Bloomsbury Group and I'm a big fan of Woolf's work. Likely though, because it focuses on Virginia's mental illness but pre-dates her fame, it's a more compelling story if one knows all Virginia came to signify (and how she inevitably eclipsed older sister/artist/caretaker, Vanessa, in the public record). Real People Fiction (on Wattpad) https://my.w.tt/UcU2aNqT46 This is an experiment. I was tasked with writing an RPF about Adam Driver. I chose to make myself the other character, since I know myself and how I would react or talk to a famous person such as Mr. Driver. I hope to God he never reads this. This is a story about Adam wanting to understand fanfiction and he meet Joey, a woman who curates fanfiction for an online site, much like AO3. They meet and talk--and try to understand whether RPF or other forms of fanfic are dangerous to celebs. There is a connection between the two characters but no actual sex scenes. Happy ending, though, I doubt it would be that way in real life. Liberties I took: Mr. Driver is single. There is no mention of prior relationships. The name of the non-profit Joey works for does not exist. I have never worked for a non-profit nor curated fanfiction. I made up names and places in Brooklyn Heights. I have never been there. Real life things: I am a poet and have taught poetry. I teach writing now. All the information about my family is true. My birthday is November 19, same as Adam's. The photo on the cover is me a long time ago.
