A glimpse into my auto-generated backup folder. I believe everything was set to 3/10/18 because that's when I moved the files from my last PC to my current one. The need to split songs into multiple files can be seen in DoveSplitVocals (Dove was the working title for The Charlatan IIRC), Epitaph Vocals (etc.), Girl Crush w back vocals, Haunt Me Bass (etc.). These backups are how I recovered some of the older songs that had been deleted, such as Leave the Cage. Despite deleting all of the .musx files for Grey Skies, they're fortunately still available from this backup folder. The only song I've lost the score for is Orange - with the exception of the bass and vocals. Fortunately, I still have the stems from Reaper, so I may be able to use AI or some other audio-to-midi function in order to recover it someday.
Not the Tantacrul video reminding me of the time MakeMusic charged actual money for the shit version of Finale 😭

Can you rank everyone on how badly they need to see a therapist on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being “well adjusted, but it couldn’t hurt” and 10 being “needs to be institutionalized ASAP”
1.Anti may seem perfectly fine but he brushes off issues and that might cause trouble in the future if they accumulate. Brightness is suicidal as seen in various occasions, Hue is a possible psychopath, and Sat needs to even out his extreme personality and compulsive kidnapping tendencies. Jailbreak has anger issues, unresolved past issues and a broken heart
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2.King Error had to kill queeno so that's kinda traumatizing in a way. Queeno, on the other hand, had been suffering way before with all that resets and shits in aftertale and then he has to go through a unhealthy relationship with Error while probably also suffering stockholm, and Eon, ever since he was a child Error had been tough on him so
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3.Even someone as chill as Auto could use some therapy, who knows what hell it is to go through just knowing everything before they happen and doing nothing when it happens because it's part of the story, he had committed some self-harm once a long time ago so might as well go to therapy. We all know how hard it is for Cor too, such maddening situation could make anyone suicidal. just imagine having all your fears happen before you, he tried his best. Ink's just fine. HQ!Error could be stubborn but boi needs therapy 'cause he's probably letting all his frustration and misery out by being destructive. Topie's an anxiety-ridden ball of fur who has infatuation/obsession issues that eventually bring him to state of denial, belief he's never enough and possibly a split personality.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4.So Sage and Shortcut have some behavioral issues and nothing to serious but if you count Shorty's habit to lure people into their eventual death by pranking them through time and space then yes. Geno 3.2.1 is the Geno that betrayed Sans and went on to destroy their world with Error's help, same as Queeno, he were already suffering so much by endless cycles of misery and on such desperation begged for Error's help, if he were alive then it's a must-have for him to have therapy ASAP. BadSans!Error have some coping issues and his ways of letting off steam aint really healthy so a little therapy wont hurt, and as for his "toy", Sansti, he'd be needing more treatment 'cause the boi is in some serious case of possible stockholm. He and his Geno were despearate enough to ask Error for help in destroying their world and now the other is dead and he have some unhealthy beliefs that he deserves whatever comes to him at that point.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5.Geno 2.1.1 is Eon's mom and he kinda hates both Recall and Eon, he went through some mental and emotional stress ever since Reaper's alleged cheating. After Recall and Reaper got reunited, he put up with it 'cause he dont want Goth to grow up without his dad. He had also been taken part of the blame for Recall's miscarriage after the accidental SOUL bond which, by twist of fate, later lead to his pregnancy with Recall's child, Eon. So it's a roller coaster for him. Same goes for Recall, being abandoned when he was Geno by reaper while he was carrying their child, extinction, surely wasnt a good experience. And now he had to share with the other Geno and it wasnt going good on his SOUL carrying(incy and acsy) either which lead to the said miscarriage, he went into depression so therapy he must go. All of the children involved might use some treatment 'cause of how dysfunctional their family is, most especially Eon since he had experience emotional negligence from his own mom at a early age, same goes for lethal since he's not given much attention in the family either and being the result of the so-called Fatal-Reaper affair that broke the family in the first place sure aint gonna be easy to take in.. Goth seems to be doing perfectly ok tho, for now.
And oh boy, these aint even ALL of the residents
#the more you know#if only ive been focusing on the angsty part of my stories#sigh#but no#funnies first#most of my bois needs therapy#whahahahahahah#speak so much about their creator#hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha#anti_error#hue_anti#sat_anti#brightness_anti#error!feel#jailbreak#auto!sans#auto#corrupted!auto#corrupto#ink#error#hq!ink#hq!error#auto_pilot#topie#swap!auto#sage#shortcut#geno!sans#king!error

Absolutely love Vetra, so thank you for reblogging these FemRyder x Vetra romance gifs lately because she and Drack were my best buds for all 120 hours of that game. Still wish that picnic would've come with a side dish of Turian though
Tumblr, please just let me type "1), 2), etc." for my bullet points instead of auto-correcting to this weird "1., 2., etc." format with no line spacing between points, oh my god
I will never get over the fact that James Vega is voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr., aka literally a dude named Freddie who played Freddie in the live-action Scooby Doo movies. Like, "let's split up, gang, and look for clues on how to defeat the Reapers" -> "alright, time to take off this mask and see who's really behind all this... -gasp- Martin Sheen!" -> "And, I would've gotten away with it too if I hadn't resurrected the single most efficient, redheaded badass in the galaxy!"
1. I can't say I go out of my way to search her tags out but if I see cute Vetra content I reblog it! I love her and I can never resist romancing her in my playthroughs. and Drack is probably my favorite character in that entire game for so many reasons ugh I love him. I love old grandparent figures passing the torch and accepting their limits with grace and also being grouches about it who need to be loved extra hard so they can get it through their thick skulls and soften up. he is also very Shaped and I want to hug him indefinitely
2. clown website with clown rules. I feel for you nonnie
3. yeah and I don't like him very much! Freddie I mean. but his tenure in bioware games is stellar. has fantastic vocal range that lends itself to great character acting in VO. love his Vega and he also did Iron Bull in DAI and killed it there too!

The World Ends with You
Jupiter - DS - 2008

[screenshots from Nintendo Life, jack-reviews.com, and LPArchive; please excuse the low res, I couldn’t find better ones]
TWEWY is an RPG with modern (circa 2008) style and character designs by Tetsuya Nomura, the director of Kingdom Hearts. I meant to write about it the day its sequel NEO: TWEWY came out but missed that by a few days. anyway, I think it's reasonable to call this game the epitome of the Nintendo DS. it has every feature to be expected of any game on the wildly unique handheld: a touch-based minigame with wireless multiplayer and little bearing on the main game, a sleep mode puzzle, touch controls, forced use of both screens, and gameplay and plot designed to be enjoyed in short bursts. it's loaded with cool ideas, some of which are more than questionable, even barring the crazy DS features, hence the remakes. (savvy readers will notice I left out the iOS and Switch platforms and, while there are remakes of the game for both platforms that have extra content and a more elegant combat system, they don't hit quite like the DS original.)
I don't fancy myself an RPG fan for the most part. the usual high fantasy themes and turn based combat are boring to me. usually, if an RPG has either one I'm not interested, and this has neither of those. I decided to try TWEWY while collecting DS games, and the plot and combat had grabbed me within two hours. I haven't mentioned the awesome music and visuals, both wonderfully stylish and unique in the same way Persona's UI is stylish and unique, only this game uses the style on its game world and characters instead of menus.

the premise is the antisocial protagonist, Neku, wakes up in a killing game wherein each day has a mission that he and his partner either complete or face erasure. after a week of these missions he'll be free. I can’t tell you the massive general plot spoiler that makes the whole thing so compelling as it goes on, so this section of the post is sadly pretty short. there is an anime that goes over the main events, but it's only four hours long compared to the game's 20, character development is sometimes lacking in detail or totally inaccurate, and it generally doesn't include the hardships you would go through as a player e.g. having to try a boss five times.

almost everything about TWEWY's gameplay is intriguing, so I'll try to be concise. combat is a strange beast that comes from developer Jupiter's need to use both screens to the fullest. by the way, don't let this wall of text scare you away from the game; it introduces these mechanics much slower and it's easier to understand and use. the bottom screen is gesture-based ARPG combat where, for example, short swipes over an enemy makes Neku use a sword attack or touching somewhere on the screen makes him fire a bullet. the exact gestures and attacks are determined by what pins he's wearing. the top screen asks you to use the d-pad to attack with Neku’s partner and navigate along a tree of cards where getting the right card grants a star; enough of those allows you to use a powerful and health-restoring fusion attack. there's this green light puck that passes between characters when the one holding it does a finisher and multiplies the finisher's damage with each successful pass up to five times, but disappears if held by one character for too long. fortunately the game has an auto mode for the top screen that's roughly equivalent to mashing left or right on the d-pad so you don't have to try to split your brain between both, but you get a little more experience if that's turned off. I love the bottom screen and the idea of the top screen but could never really get my head around doing both at once. maybe the intent was to focus on the character that has the puck and leave the other standing still or spamming defense? (in NEO: TWEWY, the light puck mechanic was changed to beat drop combos, where using a different character to attack shortly after a finisher gives you some charge for a super. no attention splitting, just fun ARPG combat with an interesting combo system that can inform what pins you use.)
turning up the game's difficulty makes enemies stronger and mostly drops different pins. there aren't random encounters: you have to scan for enemies and mostly get to choose which encounters to take. you can choose to fight multiple in a row without getting health back between them and multiply your drop rate multiplier, with enemies getting stronger the more encounters you take. you get your health back when you return to the overworld, which cuts out a lot of the obligatory spending for healing items and the trouble of running out for the player. there are still some pins that can heal you during a battle, though.
leveling up, instead of arbitrarily increasing every stat, only increases your HP, but you can turn your level down to lower your HP and multiply the drop rate of pins by one for each level. other stats can be increased with clothes or food, with different foods permanently increasing different stats and have different calories. each character can only eat so much in a single real time day, which is wack but still interesting. the food system in NEO is similar except without the per-day limit, and I think it's a great idea that gives the player agency in terms of what stats they want to increase and whether they want larger or smaller boosts.
pins can evolve when leveled up enough, but may only evolve if you give them the right kind of pin points, which is like experience for pins. there's PP from battles, from the game's proto-StreetPass mingle mode (that you could only get randomly roughly every hour, from other folks in TWEWY's mingle mode, or from other DSes running any wireless software; thankfully this is removed from the remakes but it's a neat idea), and from turning off the game for up to seven real time days. if a pin reaches max level with the wrong kind of PP, you have to go get another one to evolve it, but I don't think there are any super rare pins that evolve. the game doesn't show what kind of PP you need to evolve a pin, so while it's a cool idea, there's a fair chance that you'll miss lots of evolutions and not even notice.
there are lots of rare pins that can be worn as a set to do something ridiculously powerful, but you have to go out of your way to get them, like the Darklit Planets. it's a set of seven pins that are useful alone, but if worn all together they become three times more powerful. they all drop rarely from bosses on the highest difficulty. I love wacky, mystical, obscenely powerful postgame stuff like this but can't be bothered to actually go and get it. some games give you their best weapons last, which is always a shame because there's nothing to use it on, but in TWEWY, there's a boss rush that saves your best time and lots of bosses to re-fight for their rare pins, so you'll have a reason to fight bosses until you've got every one of those rare pins.
speaking of postgame, TWEWY's is rather extensive, with a bonus day focused on the Tin Pin Slammer minigame and goofy non-canon alternate personalities plus four sort of tedious missions for every ingame day that unlock secret reports for much more lore about the Reapers' Game. (one of the missions for every day is "find and destroy the pig Noise," which mostly have puzzle-ish fights; one is killed by closing the DS and opening it again, which is the sleep mode puzzle I mentioned.) if you get them all, it unlocks a special scene in the ending, but again, I can't be bothered to do that kind of postgame. not all of it, anyway, the bonus day's missions are too tedious for me.
in Tin Pin Slammer, the minigame with almost no bearing on the main game, you use your pins to play kinda-sorta Beyblade. every pin has different stats, many of which are hidden, and different amounts of the different weapons to stun your opponents' pins with. it's a rather extensive side mode and a totally unnecessary inclusion, but really fun anyway, and can be played wirelessly with others. there are some other mechanics that are also interesting but not quite worth adding any more words to this ridiculously long post, including a brand trends system and an interesting way to limit running from fights.
even with all of these words and some pictures, I seriously can't offer a glimpse of the vibes, the combat, the music, the story, the characters, the entire energy of The World Ends with You in a blog post, and in my opinion, it's not the same without the crispy DS sprites or peculiar dual screen combat. if you like the DS, 2000s energy, or action RPGs, this is an essential addition to your library if you don't want to track down a DS copy or you prefer more elegant combat, try one of the remakes instead. you're this far into the blog post, so I'm sure you won't be disappointed. (NEO: TWEWY is very good too and has a free demo on PS4 and Switch; while not the same, it's still worth trying. it carries a modernized audiovisual energy of its predecessor, more elegant combat improvements to other TWEWY systems.)

My first attempt at scrying was powerful and confusing until speaking with my sister the next day.
My whole session was a very last minute decision. I got a pyramid mirror holder with an eye shape sculpted into it and a circular obsidian mirror for the pupil. I had no idea what scrying even was. I thought it was just writing stuff down or something. So I read into a bit and found that I was very wrong.
Scrying, to my understanding now, is the act of gazing into the past, present, or future; OR into the other realms like looking through a window.
So what do I do as a newer practitioner that didn't even know what the word scrying meant?
Gazed into the other realms. *Keep reading, it gets better.*
With my mirror came a little incantation to invoke the mirror's ability and only allow that - for the greater good - through. Along with that, I had sage at the ready, a black candle for protection, an incent with built in protection, my statues of Ganesh, and all of my alter stuff and tools at the ready just in case. I may be rash, but not a complete fool 😜
So I turned off the lights, lit my candles and incent, invoked Ganesh and Isis and all my other stalker-protectors, and read my incantation. Then I gazed at the mirror, and waited.
... and waited...
I could see my reflection, which was kinda awkward, so I tried refocusing my eyes, but that wasn't helping with shit either. So I tried moving further away, which also didn't help! I ended up deciding "oh well" and just going with the flow.
I was having a really hard time focusing on my mirror, but the smoke drawing across from my incent to candle flame was VERY eye catching! Naturally, I decided to focus on that instead for a bit.
Smoke has a magick all it's own. I love watching it dance, love watching as it flows and swirls playfully through the air, and the flame added to the dance beautifully! I was content watching the wisps make their beautiful shapes and felt that was enough from this ritual to at least give some peace and harmony to myself and surroundings.
The glowing fiery eyes looking back at me through my mirror had a different idea though. When I saw them after watching the harmonious smoke twirl through the air, I'll admit I was a bit shocked. She definitely knew that, and disappeared, but I explained to her - if she was still listening - that it was a shock to see her and I'd love to chat if she didn't have evil or negative intentions. I also reaffirmed my invocation with Isis and Ganesh just in case, cause 🤷♀️ya never know.
The eyes returned with a slight flicker of a skull (I forgot the skull part until the next day) then disappeared for the most part, but her presence stayed. She also flickered on and off the mirror throughout the session.
Never having done this, I wasn't too sure what to do so I started just asking questions.
Who are you? No answer. (I thought, but after talking to my sister the next day, a memory was triggered of a skull once more flashing in the mirror)
Are you my guardian? No answer. (That I remember)
Are you me? No.
Are you with me? Yes.
Do you have ill intent with me? No.
How often are you with me? Always.
Are you with me now? Yes.
I could feel this being's power, and didn't quite trust her, but didn't distrust her either. To be safe though, I lit some sage and glanced at my Ganesh Idol.
What do you want? The smoke immediately did a 90° change in course from going across the mirror to the candle on the other side, to swirling and dancing to me.
So... you want me? A flash across the mirror was my answer this time.
She asked to come through, but I refused her. No one gets to come through no matter who or what they are. That's my rule.
*this next part I forgot until I talked to my sister the next day, and she triggered the memory back*
I still don't know who you are? You've flashed a skull and red eyes a few times so I'm pretty confident you have something to do with death.
Yes.
Is someone going to die? Yes.
Am I going to die? No.
Is it grandma? [My grandmother is 92 and her health has been going bit by bit]No.
Is it family?
Possibly
Is it a friend?
Another flash of light across my mirror followed by thickening smoke.
Is it someone I know now?
No answer.
Is it someone I will know?
Flash of red-fire eyes (which I took to mean yes)
*I can't remember if there was more to that, but the rest I remembered before talking to my sister*
My flickering candle distracted me for a moment, so I looked at the flame, then back to my mirror and saw a shadowy figure standing right behind me where the eyes would flicker on and off before instead of the imprinted flame that would usually follow.
Oh. Hello! You still can't come through.
Okay.
.... *awkward silence*
Sorry about the interrogation... I'm very new at this and wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do... *my customer services training screaming at me internally*
.... *silent humor*
... So you're always with me...
Flash of fire eyes= Yes
Have you always, always been with me?
Yes *I could feel her gleaming smile of anticipation then the smoke caught my eye again*
... Were you with me in my fog?
Yes *here I lost it. I knew this presence felt familiar! And now I knew why! She was there through my hell! And she was there even further than Hell and it's demons dared to venture with me.
Her shadow appeared again in the reflection, I'm not sure if her eyes appeared with the shadow or after it disappeared, but I almost remember her hand on my shoulder.
Have you been protecting me?
Yes. *memories of me crying on the floor because I didn't have strength to crawl into bed, and a soothing hand glinding across my head in comfort, an invisible hug engulfing me when everything just hurt, a small glimmer of hope appearing when I was ready to give up, an invisible hand holding mine in the dark, a fog surrounding me when I was ready to end my life raced through my head*
Thank you *I said through my sobs*
I don't remember exactly how my transition went from there, she obviously didn't want me to remember everything - yet at least.
I do remember closing the session, putting out my incent, turning on the light, and blowing out my candle. I believe the Guardian of the west helped me close the session because my black candle was out and I magickally had a blue candle that was never lit during the session when reading the closing incantation.
I then turned out the light, and not a moment after getting under my covers my older sister sends me a text of a purple sunset. The message with it:
"A purple sunset 💕 gramma is waving at you from NZ"
My grandma passed away 5ish years ago.
Do I think the presence was my grandma? At first, yes. But not anymore.
The next day, I called my younger sister and told her about it. I explained the eyes that weren't red persay but made of fire and the shadow behind me. I didn't get too far in before she said:
"That sounds like a Grim Reaper"
... 🤯 THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!!!*this is where the memories of talking to "Death" came back* OH MY GOD JESSE YOU'RE A GENIUS!!
Then more memories came flooding back.
My fog that I always hated because it took away ALL of my energy and splotches of time from me was her. Maybe not all her, but her presence was definitely the most potent in the fog.
She was the reason I felt trapped in thick bubble full of - you guessed it - a suffocating fog. Blocking EVERYTHING out. Sounds were muffled as if being spoken through warped glass or a closed door. The world around me was smokey and blurred, and I could never focus my eyes to get a clear picture. I couldn't feel my feet on the ground. When I walked, it felt like I was floating, but I also couldn't stay in the moment to experience the walk between destinations. I couldn't smell or taste. I didn't have the energy to do anything outside of auto pilot. To lift a knife, or look for pills I didn't flush before getting bad. To be able to drive off that cliff or jump off the edge of the mountain.
When I did have the energy?
I jumped through time. Literally. One moment I was lying in my bed wondering if I'd get sleep, the next I was at my desk halfway through the workday. One second I was cutting something for dinner and admiring the knife, the next I was in my driveway After work the next day.
In addition to that, I realized that she was my companion in the dark. When I'd cry alone in my room, she was the force that hugged me when no one else would/could.
When I held my hand over the side of my bed at night begging for the demons to drag me to Hell or anywhere but here, hers was the hand that reached to hold mine instead.
Going back further, I realized she really was always there! Even in my younger days, when I wouldn't let anyone know that I was suicidal. When I'd hide it with a smile. She was the one that gave the specks of hope. In my fog, even in the worst moments, she was the one that gave me atom-sized specks of hope that made me hold on for just a split second more. For my papers to be signed. For me to finally just say what I want. For me to finally be me.
My fog wasn't my torture...
It was my savior.
My Grim Reaper, is my protector.

"goddess have mercy on him."
punisher max. accepting.
@halfknighted.
he has seen death before, but not like this. not so close, so personal, so heartbreakingly slow and unbearably painful. he has seen death in thieves and bandits and criminals and on people he never knew the names of, but never has he looked into the eyes of the dying and known their soul. it wasn’t a quick death either; not a knife to the heart or an axe to the neck or the clean swing of his crescent sickle, but instead, an arrow to the knee to cripple him—-
and another to his stomach to stun him —-
and another to his lungs to end him.
( ferdinand will hear the rasping sound of hubert’s wheezing breath for the rest of his life, echoing in his ears like a haunting hymn. it will keep him awake at night. it will make him hateful. )
in retrospect, it is kind of ashe to take pause in the middle of the fray. ( or is it? is it kind or cruel to allow ferdinand the time to watch the light fade out of his dear friend’s eyes — to hold his bleeding body in his arms and have the weight of his unmoving frame marked into his skin forever. ) ferdinand feels the bowman’s presence lingering over his shoulder like the grim reaper, looming and crooked and black like the night sky. once a friend, now a foe.
❝ … yes. mercy. ❞
the words sound cold, empty, falling from his mouth on auto-pilot as gloved fingers brush through the fallen mage’s dark hair. they had agreed to have coffee and tea together after the battle as a private celebration — ferdinand had even agreed to try some of hubert’s preferred drink, even though he loathed the taste of it. today was meant to be a day of success and power.
ashe duran, the boy who came from nothing, has taken that from him.
cradling the fallen with one hand, the noble reaches for his sickle with the other, the quiet action blocked from sight by their hunched bodies. it’s within a split-second that he yanks the weapon out from under them and swings it around, the out-facing blade slicing at the archer’s feet with the intention to cut him down where he stands.
his mourning turns to fury, and he will have his revenge.
❝ —- may she have mercy on you, as well! ❞
#ask#halfknighted#ic: ferdie.#so the ferdi.ebert hit me like a freight train on this day--#BUT LIKE ANYWAY MAIN THING IS thank u ashe for taking a second and letting ferdie have that moment but boy u gonna pay

Obtain Be a part of A number of WAV Files Into One Software program 7.zero
Minimize, join, trim, mix, delete parts, split audio files. So now I am left with an AVI file, a TXT file, and two WAV information, one which is ~temp-20101126_1700_14.wav. The webinar was three hours lengthy so I would really like to have the ability to recover this if possible. Is there any technique to join the AVI and WAV file(s) into a readable format? I did selected the CamStudio codec as it generates the smallest file I've seen but. I do not know why they'd be so massive either. Cheers, love! The time manipulating speedster frontwoman of Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch has arrived in the first wave of Hasbro’s new six inch line of action figures, and now she’s blinking into the Allspark Studio!
Overwatch Ultimates Tracer
To tell you the truth, I couldn’t tell you the last time I played Overwatch. While I was really big into the game when it launched, I think I can comfortably say my time with it is over. However, I think it speaks volumes about Blizzard Entertainment’s skill with crafting fun, enjoyable characters that I still found myself extremely intrigued by the proposition of Hasbro starting a new line of six inch action figures based off of the game. Though Max Factory over in Japan has already put out a handful of similarly scaled Overwatch action figures as part of their Figma line, the pricey nature of those figures for a game I’m no longer super passionate about gave me pause.
While my tastes in non-converting action figures do typically skew more towards the Figmas and Figuarts of the world, I was still very much interested in seeing what Hasbro could do with the license. Despite my reservations based on past experiences with Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series, I’m very happy to report Tracer has been an extremely pleasant surprise for me!
#gallery-0-19 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-19 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
To give a small peak behind the curtain, I didn’t know I’d be writing a review of this figure when I purchased it. What this unfortunately means is that I didn’t know to save the packaging for photography. While I can’t illustrate this for you, I will assure you that the Overwatch Ultimates line has extremely striking packaging! A clean, white box with a matte finish features very bold strips of color on the sides, plus some very nice illustrations of the character on the front.
What’s a little less cool in the case of Tracer, however, is that once you open her up, there is a whole lot of empty space in that tray she comes packaged in. She’s part of the same single packed, $20 range of Ultimates figures that also include bulkier characters like Lucio and Reaper, who I presume fill out those trays a bit more, so it’s not necessarily her fault that she and her accessories are on the smaller side. Still, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit shocked when I saw just how much empty space was in her box.
Speaking of accessories, with Tracer you get her two submachine gun pistols, effect parts that give the effect of shooting them, two alternate right hands, and the time bomb she uses for her in-game ultimate. That last one is a bit sneaky, as it comes attached to her back in-package rather than laid out in the tray, so be on the look out!
#gallery-0-20 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-20 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-20 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-20 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
The submachine guns are very nicely detailed for their small size, as is the time bomb for that matter. While they are easy enough to fit into Tracer’s default, gun-hold-y hands, the actual grip she has on them can feel just a bit loose. Not so loose that you can’t trust that she’ll be able to hold onto them if she’s posed on your shelf, but there’s a good chance they’ll slip out or at least turn sideways if you’re changing her poses while they’re in her hands. The effect parts are similarly reliably able to stay plugged in while Tracer holds a pose, but anything more than slight jostling is likely to knock them off. By looking inside them, it seems clear that there’s very much an intended top and bottom that the muzzle flashes are supposed to plug onto the guns, but it’s a bit difficult to tell what that way is and, in my experience, they feel the same whether they’re upside down or rightside up.
For her handswaps, Tracer has an open palmed waving hand and a little two finger salute hand, both of which are for her right hand. The hands all plug in nice and solidly and feature a wrist joint. It is kind of a shame that she doesn’t feature any alternate left hands and, as far as I can tell, I don’t believe her left hand is even removable. While the included two hands are nice, it’s a slight shame that she didn’t come with at least an open palmed left hand as well.
#gallery-0-21 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-21 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-21 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-21 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
When it comes to her detailing and paint work, Hasbro did a good job of picking out all of the most important notes of her character design, making sure they got the attention they needed. Her shoulders feature nice and clear tampographs of the British flag on the right and a flight patch from her piloting days on her left. Her eyes are very nice and crisply painted on beneath her (non-removable) clear yellow goggles as well as some amazingly cleanly applied pink paint on her lips. The timey-wimey, sci-fi glow of her chronal accelerator harness is picked out in an eye catching electric blue, though unfortunately only on her chest. The back part features no such blue paint, though it is still picked out in a nice, bright white and silver. Tracer’s tights feature an amazing yellow-to-orange gradient, along with another tampograph of her own name that she has written on her left thigh for some reason and grey mesh running down the sides her thigh and calf. The gradient really is something to see, though, and helps give the figure a premium feel.
Unfortunately, there are noticeable amount of smaller details, like the belts that run under her arms and fasteners/buckles that are molded but unpainted. Her unpainted gauntlets also seem a little under-detailed compared to the in-game model. A very slight blackwash or even just a bit of panel lining would’ve really helped them pop a little more, I feel. Some paint, like the aforementioned electric blue, is a bit messily applied on my copy, though it’s only really noticeable on close inspection. There is one very egregious paint flaw on my copy though, as underneath her time bomb there is a gigantic splotch of white paint on her brown jacket. While this is thankfully hidden just by virtue of being on her back and almost being completely covered up by the bomb, it’s still not an insignificant paint error.
#gallery-0-22 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-22 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-22 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-22 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
When it comes to articulation, I found Tracer to be better than expected, but still very limited in some ways. Chief among those limitations was, out of the box, my Tracer’s top right knee joint was completely stuck. Stuck in such a way that I feared trying to use force on it would cause it to break. Thankfully though, I was able to remedy this by sticking her in a plastic bag and then dipping her legs in hot water for a minute or two, which loosened her knee up good. With that fixed, Tracer’s legs are remarkably posable! She’s able to assume the kind of nimble poses you’d want her to be able to pull off. In addition to thigh swivels, her knees can bend just as far back as a human knee can without looking too freaky, and her legs can spread for almost full Van Damme level splits. While her legs can move forward decently high, she lacks pretty much any sort of backwards leg movement.
Unfortunately, as you move further up, Tracer’s articulation starts to get less impressive. While she does have an ab crunch and a balljointed upper body, her bulky gauntlets mean she has practically no elbows articulation beyond pointing down or sitting at a near 90 degree angle, though they can swivel right or left. Additionally, while her shoulders can move back and forth just fine, they have next to no outward or inward movement. While not nearly as limited as her arms, the high collar of her bomber jacket does slightly get in the way of her otherwise quite good head articulation.
#gallery-0-23 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-23 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-23 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-23 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
All in all, despite my not particularly high opinions of Hasbro’s previous 6″ scale offerings and some stumblings with her, I’ve ended up being rather taken by Tracer. Giving her a once over after taking her from the box, I wasn’t too sure, but as time went on (and bad knee joints were fixed) I found myself warming up to her more and more. Honestly I think she might be the best experience I’ve had with any of Hasbro’s six inch figures. From what I can tell, they’re really stepping up their game for Ultimates, and I’m excited to see what they can do with it from here. If you’re willing to perhaps risk some slightly spotty QC, I think you’ll really find a lot to love with Tracer.
#gallery-0-24 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-24 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; } #gallery-0-24 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-24 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

"you look good! the dead would wish they're alive to see you looking dapper than ever." the humorous statement had hye-jin giggling like a little kid. if anything, investigators are probably not allowed to be this loud as they do their job. she couldn't help but think that this is why she's better off as someone who does the mess and creates chaos-- rather than someone figuring motives and solving mysteries. "alright, that made me feel less special. but at least you're not walking up to the grim reaper or something." she hummed, then immediately gestured to zip her mouth as soon as he asked her a favor. "alright. you have my word." she assured him, then soon looked up to the signage of mike's auto. "which area would you rather focus on? i don't mind splitting up. that gets the job done faster."
he chuckled at the hat, glancing up at the brim. "does it at least suit me? can't be heading to a crime scene looking bad," he joked, grinning. at her comment, he shook his head. "well, it's not the only one, and i haven't been completely alone. i checked out jake's crash site and ran into riss, and then sita and i looked over the fire sites, and i talked to julia about vivi a bit." dae shrugged. "there's, of course, still the beachfront, but it's been so long now that feels rather pointless," he admitted. "i'm a journalist," he laughed by way of further explanation, "none of us have all our marbles. also—do me a favor and don't tell jieun any of that? she'd have my head." and he was positive she'd find a way to make real on the threat.

Earlier this month, EA made the surprise reveal that EA games are coming to Steam! With so many franchises under the Electronic Arts banner, this was a pretty big deal and gave a chance for certain series to have their reunion all under one storefront. Now, the publisher just revealed a few more games that have been added to that list, including the deluxe version of Mass Effect 3.
Need for Speed, Dragon Age, Crysis 3, and more have all been added previously, with even more on the way. As for the most recent titles to be included in Valve's library, we've got a ton of Battlefield, two Mass Effect Deluxe Editions, and Star Wars goodness.
Battlefield 1 Revolution Edition
Battlefield 3 Premium Edition
Battlefield 4 Premium Edition
Battlefield 5 Year 2 Edition
Battlefield Hardline Ultimate Edition
Mass Effect 3: N7 Digital Deluxe Edition
Mass Effect: Andromeda Deluxe Edition
Star Wars: Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition
Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition
Related: Here are even more EA games on Steam right now
We mentioned previously in our earlier coverage that the inclusion of the most recent Mass Effect and Dragon Age games was a huge deal. Both franchise saw a split of what was available outside of Origins and EA Access thanks to EA taking the reigns as the publisher, which meant that those that want to play on Steam would have to divvy up their time between platforms. Both are free to play, so that's not the biggest deal, though can be seen as a bummer for those that love to rack up achievements as well as access to the Steam Workshop for mods.
PC-exclusive titles like APex Legends will also be making their way over onto Steam, which will increase the player-size immensely for those that absolutely refuse to download another client. More and more games are being added to this list, so don't worry - Prima Games will keep this list updated.
What do you think about the latest EA games making their way over onto Steam? Have you ever missed out on a gaming experience out of not wanting to go through EA Origins? Sound off with your thoughts over on Twitter @PrimaGames, we'd love to hear what you think and what you'd like to see next!

Publisher Electronic Arts has taken the spotlight in the last week. While its recent EA Play showcase still has players talking, before the big event EA was releasing its catalog on Steam. With many ecstatic about the option to play these games on Valve's client, some problems are arising after launch.
Of the big list of EA published games to release on Steam, Mass Effect 3 saw considerable fanfare. The original trilogy's finale was welcomed by fans, but elation has quickly turned into frustration. Mass Effect 3, a controversial finale to the original series, has some significant performance issues on Steam with players reporting drops to sub-15fps.
RELATED: Mass Effect 5's Best Bet is to Follow Mass Effect 2's Lead
According to Game Debate, the culprit of this performance knock stems from the Origin in-game overlay that is applied to EA games. Just after launch a thread appeared on the Electronic Arts official forums which also points to the overlay as the issue. Responses explain that users should attempt to disable the overlay which had been known to affect performance. The problem with Mass Effect 3's Steam releases is that the overlay is continuously enabled.

Some users in the thread posted support conversations which point to the problem as being a technical issue with Steam. Taking a peak at the Steam user reviews, which currently sits at a 'Mixed' rating, many players are suffering from the aforementioned poor performance. The top five up-voted reviews all acknowledge a widespread problem and urge others to hold off on a purchase until a fix is released.
Mass Effect 3 released last week as part of EA's previous rollout of games on the Steam client. Yesterday had a whole new slew of games that were previously locked to EA's Origin client on PC. The recent batch of releases include Titanfall 2, Dead Space 3, A Way Out, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Need for Speed: Payback. The big title to come with these releases is the Sims 4 which has 10 million active users.
Mass Effect 3 Steam Key
Fans are hoping that Mass Effect 3's performance issues are fixed quickly. Some are ready to replay the trilogy on PC again after the rumored Mass Effect Trilogy remaster was not at EA Play.
Mass Effect 3 is now available on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

A Review of Reaper

Reaper is a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) created by Cockos. Whilst being like any other DAW in terms of it being able to sequence tracks, record audio and support MIDI input/output, it is the quickly becoming the go to DAW for sound designers in any field due to it’s ease of use, powerful processing tools and relatively cheap price.
There are no typical DAW-based functions that REAPER isn’t capable of. A full suite of automation tools are on hand and comprehensive MIDI editing is available. What sets it apart is its ability to be customised. Users have the ability to incorporate their own scripts to extend upon REAPER’s capability, so if you’re keen on customising your workflow beyond what other DAWs can offer, this software might be worth a closer look. - (Shaw, 2019)
When I was first presented with the Game Audio 1 assignment, and being told that I had to learn an entire new piece of software in a short amount of time I was nervous to say the least. But after downloading Reaper and opening it for the first time I was presently surprised. As an avid user of Ableton for the last 3 years, and spending almost 6 years on Logic before that, I seem to have become so used to looking at DAW’s that when presented with a new software, I can find my way around pretty quickly once I’ve figured out the basics.
So getting down into some serious sound design work did not take long, and I was so happy with how Reaper deals with audio. Once you get past the old school 90s Microsoft Windows style menus and VST’s that come built in and the pointlessly complicated ways it deals with simple things like side-chaining, you can see start to see why audio designers use it so often. Unlike Ableton, which struggled with split screen output and playback of video within the session, causing multiple crashes during every session whilst doing the sound design for the Chirality video, Reaper had no issues at all. It was perfectly comfortable on my medium to high spec laptop whilst it ran over 130 audio tracks alongside multiple plugins and the video playback.
For actual sound design processing I loved the way each piece of audio on 1 single track can be quickly volume or pitch manipulated when using the small menu that appears after double clicking the audio. And I also enjoyed how I wasn’t restricted to a grid, which allowed free flowing audio layering without any annoying auto snapping to grid lines (Maybe this was due to my initial settings that I clicked at random when opening the software for the first time though)
Personally I think I will use Reaper in all my sound design work from here on out whether in university, or my own personal work. I found it very easy to dive in and get good results, and I stated above, the number 1 reason I will use Reaper in the future for all sound design work is that on my laptop, it handles audio and video 100% better than Ableton. But that could just be my circumstances, as I’ve heard from course mates they had trouble with running Reaper on Apple’s Mac IOS.
But have to agree with what PCMAG has to say about the software -
“No built-in instruments or loops. Uninviting, unintuitive interface.” - (Lendino , 2019)
The interface seems to be stuck in the past, because at a glance you could be looking at the same version that was first released in 2006, not the current 2020 version. It’s over complicated and simple tasks that other DAW’s allow you to quickly setup take way to long. The built in VST’S are terrible and hard to use and there is no built in instruments?! But for $60 for non-commercial use you can’t go wrong.
So in conclusion I would give it 7/10 for sound to video processing and 5/10 for workflow.
I could never see myself creating a piece of music on Reaper, but it will definitely stick around as a powerful piece of software in my setup.

TYSON BREWER is the SGT AT ARMS of HELLBOUND, who goes by GREASER; he is TWENTY EIGHT years old, and works as a MECHANIC. Some say he has a striking resemblance to COLSON BAKER. He is AVAILABLE.
There’s something to be said about how a boy raised by a single father becomes a man, and a father himself. Growing up in a place like Las Vegas surely didn’t help his cause; Michael Brewer was all things degenerate, galivanting around the city of sin in his prized 1967 Impala with a cigarette dangling from his lips and a beer in the center console, and a little Tyson in his passenger seat. They’d cruise the streets through the more scenic areas, often spending weekends at Lake Mead. Tyson was only 6 years old when his father partnered with his uncle to open their auto shop, Brewer & Sons, and began helping them in the shop after school. The shop soon became a second home to him and his cousin, Greer, and they practically grew up with wrenches in their hands, helping their fathers on the cars and motorcycles that came through the shops.
As Tyson got older, he kept his interest in mechanics, and his father purchased him a Harley Davidson Road King that had surely seen better days at age 16 in the hopes that by the time he turned 18, he’d have fixed it up to become everything he wanted. He worked on it tirelessly, forfeiting sleep for modifications and wiring and spending the money he’d earned at the shop on parts; sometimes things would blow, and sometimes they worked just fine, but it was the thrill of finding what worked that drove him.
Contrary to popular belief, Tyson was intelligent beyond anyone else’s comprehension. A class clown, sure, but a clown with a 4.5GPA and all AP and advanced classes, on the path to several scholarships at Ivy League schools. Unfortunately for the Ivy’s, Tyson had no interest in earning a degree from them. After all, all he needed was his certifications in mechanical and automotive work to help his father run his shop — the very shop that would be passed down to him and Greer when the time came for retirement.
After graduating high school, he and Greer had been approached by Menace, the President of the Hellbound Motorcycle Club, with an opportunity to hang out with the club to see if he’d be a good fit to, eventually, join them. Brewer and Sons exclusively serviced Hellbound, Michael Brewer having been friends with the clubs President since elementary school; though Michael wasn’t as much a Harley enthusiast as he was into old school American muscle cars, Tyson’s enthusiasm with the bikes and passion for aspect of brotherhood had always intrigued him. As a kid, the patch holders of Hellbound would put him on the backs of their bikes and ride him around, giving him pointers on how to ride in different circumstances, and how to maintain the integrity of a bike. They’d given him the road name of Greaser, due to his work at the shop and always having grease on his arms and face whenever they saw him. Soon enough, after one year as a hang-around for the club, Tyson and Greer became prospects, and not long after that, official patched members, and the youngest of the bunch at the time. Through their perseverance and proven loyalty to their brothers, they were the perfect candidates to be groomed into presidency later on down the road.
In between club happenings and business at Brewer and Sons exploding, Tyson met a girl; one Haven Hartley, whom he shared several classes with in high school. The two began dating on the evening of their high school graduation, and since then, Haven had proven to be the ride or die that he’d always wanted. Though things were rocky every now and then, separation was never an option for either of them. The love he felt for Haven was unwavering, and he knew that no one else would ever understand him the way that she did. The pair welcomed their first child when they were both 20, just as Tyson had earned his patch as an official patch holder — a baby boy named Blaze. Through the hardships, Tyson knew the chances of Haven sticking around were slim due to his lifestyle. After 6 years together, just shy of Blaze’s 3rd birthday, Tyson and Haven agreed to take a break from their relationship to allow Tyson to figure out exactly what it was he wanted out of this life, and how to be the father he wants to be.
It wasn’t until Hades was killed that Tyson had been appointed to replace him as Sergeant at Arms. Despite his academic intelligence, his street smarts had always been sharper, more precise; he’d learn early on in life how to pick and choose his battles. And those that he chose, well... he always won.
Now, as the tides shift in the MC world, Tyson hangs in the balance of helping Menace keep the boys in line with the clubs original intent; brotherhood and comradery, and the mindset to be leaders of a community, rather than outlaws; and the struggles of keeping his family safe.
CONNECTIONS —
HAVEN HARTLEY — i’ll die before i let you leave.
For as long as he can remember, Haven Hartley was the girl he’d never imagine being friends with, let alone being the mother of his child. While fatherhood surely wasn’t something he had in mind. Tyson knew that Haven was the one for him, despite his laundry list of women he’s acquired since their split 4 years ago. Nowadays, Tyson’s relationship with Haven is more on the friends with benefits (plus child) spectrum, though they often speak of what it’d be like to be together again. It’s the violence that scares Haven, and Tyson has vowed to do what he can to keep it away from his family in the hopes that they’re be able to finally reunite and be the family he’s always dreamed of.
GREER ‘CHAOS’ BREWER — i hate this town, it’s so washed up.
Though they fall from the same family tree, Greer and Tyson were polar opposites of one another, and Tyson likes to think that’s what makes the two of them so close. While Tyson had always followed his moral compass and tried to do right, Greer was always the bad seed and in the middle of chaos, seemingly at all times. If Greer was in trouble, Tyson was always right there to pull him out of it, usually by smashing in a few faces. As they’ve grown up, the Brewer cousins have always remained close as family, and now as brothers in the Hellbound MC; despite how disappointed Tyson can be in him, Greer is his blood, and he will do what he can to keep him from descending into madness.
DEVIKA WALDRON — she posts pics to get at me.
As the bartender at the Barracuda, Devika sees Tyson and the Hellbound boys on a daily basis. It’s needless to say that the two had silent crushes on each other from the moment they met, often engaging in flirtatious banter. They have a silent agreement, mostly sexual and friendly, and are both aware that their little evenings of fun together will never amount to much; Devika had made it clear that she’d never date a Hellbound member, or any MC member at all. By Tyson’s standards, that’s perfectly fine with him.
DALLAS ‘REAPER’ WILSON — lyrics.
It wasn’t long ago that Dallas, Tyson, and Greer were riding dirt bikes in the desert together, just a bunch of kids trying to find something to do in the summertime. The three were inseparable practically from the moment they met in that 1st grade classroom, often dubbed the Terrible Three by their teachers. It wasn’t until high school that all of that had changed; Dallas had moved to California, and though the three kept in touch, nothing had ever been the same since Dallas returned. With Dallas transferring from the Los Angeles charter of the Ruthless MC, tensions run high due to the brewing war.
