That list.
Tumblr media
This just sounds like a dude who's kinda feminine. I've noticed that a lot of people seem to think being gender-non-confirming is the same as being enby.
Which seems kinda sexist, actually.
Given how most of these are from non-European cultures, gotta wonder if this particular thing is related to the revived Noble Savage idea.
Tumblr media
...Ancient Greek Mythology? Really?
Tumblr media
This just sounds like extremist Christianity. Like conversion therapy.
Ironic that the list Tena linked to included a Christian sect.
Tumblr media
Assigned gender at birth = bad, assigned gender at some indeterminate later point = good?
I'm sorry, isn't this what pro-trans people are supposed to be against?
If you're claiming all of those identities are valid, then you're also endorsing multiple contradicting religious beliefs. And saying mutilating people's bodies in the name of the belief their bodies are inherently wrong is inherently okay.
You're endorsing Christians so extreme they make the actual Puritans look like National Baptists.
This is not logically consistent. In fact, it's awfully close to certain stereotypes of trans supporters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When those total strangers want society, law, and government to validate their self-identity, it becomes everyone’s business.
And those are, naturally, very important to trans people. Explicitly, for many of them.
For obvious reasons!*
Also, I love how this is coming from someone with an entirely ideological objection to Trump’s actions, who can’t explain how this will allegedly actually affect people.
Seriously, she threw her toys out of the pram.
Tumblr media
renardtrickster tried (archive), and he had to use someone else’s line-by-line analysis, which is clearly not the one line point Tenafly made.
And that’s putting it generously.
Tena was implying that believing in only two genders and not non-binaries is the same as being anti-trans. Which it isn't.
A detailed analysis of Trump's Executive Order is trying to motte-and-bailey the argument. And Tena's own childish tantrums.
This is not the way to make an actual argument if you want to convince people.
Irony is, it's this exact same sort of disconnect from what normal people believe - maybe even normal liberals and progressives - that helped the Dems lose.
I also like how Renard's tags imply he's "arguing with pigs", when this whole thread was started by someone who was angry and confrontational and kept engaging with blatant bait and did nothing constructive.
The meanings of words are determined by usage. And  everyone I've seen who claims gender and sex are two different things is a pro-trans progressive person. And I'm not sure it's a majority belief even among that group.
Which suggests that they formed this belief out of ideological convenience, not working from first principles.
At the very least you can't act like it's a universally accepted fact.
*This is not the first time I’ve seen people imply that LGBT stuff should just be ignored, even though there’s a great deal of effort being spent by LGBT advocates on making it part of international, everyday discourse.
Same with a lot of Diversity™ stuff. They don’t want to address the criticism, so they say you’re wrong for even caring in the first place, even though that also applies to the supporters.
Though these folks are rarely so silly as to talk about apparent anti-LGBT discrimination at the highest level of American government and then insist LGBT stuff is a private matter.
Which makes it extra ironic when Renard’s goalpost-moving defense includes talking about lack of government support for trans people as a negative.

Borderline begging you to not erase the gender non conformity of historical women by applying contemporary lenses of gender roles to them. Gender non conforming women existed then and still exist now. Wearing “men’s clothing” does not make me less of a woman and it’s incredibly insulting to see people in 2024 call women “they” and “he” because they wrote extensively about the misogyny they faced on a daily basis and chose to address and protect against by disguising their female form. Clothing does not a gender make—social roles do. Let’s respect historical women by referring to them correctly—not assuming what they would like to be called these days when we have long since dismissed European invert theory.
I'm assuming you are referring to that historical binder post and specifically this part:
Westner was also buried in men's clothing by their own request.
Firstly, I didn't call Ella Westner "he", not sure why you are implying that. I haven't read much about Westner, but I did try to look quickly if we have any record or second hand information of them talking or writing about their gender. I didn't find it, so I don't know what would be the correct way to refer to them. I referred to them with "them" since that is the pronoun in English language when you don't know someone's gender. By all means if you have any evidence to share how they liked to be referred, do share.
This is for all intents and purposes the same ask I got after my Julie d'Aubigny post so I'm going to link my response here (and the answer to the follow up ask) instead of rehashing the same points all over again. But I will rehash couple of main points since it seems they bear repeating. Firstly, I'm not talking about you, you are not Elle Westner and you have just as little access to her mind as I do. I don't have to assume your gender, you said you're a woman, and certainly I believe nothing you do makes you less of a woman. But I can't ask Elle Westner can I? For most historical people, I think it's fair to assume their gender to be the one assigned to them, but if there is evidence that might suggest otherwise, we should not assume. Of course we should neither assume it's not their assigned gender, it's entirely possible it is, but the possibility should not be discarded that their gender is different.
It's a little silly tbh to say I'm erasing gender non-comforming historical women, when literally in the same paragraph I mention how it was quite common for queer *women* to dress in masculine clothing. This is literally what I wrote:
Queer women and trans masc people, who dressed in masculine clothing, (which was pretty common) also sometimes bound their chests, but unsurprisingly that was not exactly celebrated like drag performances were, so there weren't binders made for queer people specifically.
(I admit I didn't mention the "mannish" feminists, who dressed masculinely, but they rarely bound their chests, and like many of them were queer also.)
What I will not do (even if you borderline beg) is to erase trans masc and non-binary people from history. Assuming all historical queer and gnc people were their assigned gender without extensive evidence to the contrary (for some people no amount of evidence is ever enough) effectively erases all trans and non-binary people from history, since the way gender was talked about, understood and allowed to express, was often so different from our current understanding and usually erased from historical evidence. That is in fact imposing our understanding of gender to historical people. Yes some women did cross-dress in order to escape misogyny, but that's certainly not the only reason people cross-dressed. Especially since many of them, those who couldn't or didn't try to pass, faced even more misogyny for cross-dressing, but they did it anyway because they had other reasons to cross-dress. The reason why cross-dressing can be evidence of queer gender identity (though of course as said, there are other possible reasons) especially in 19th century, is because in their culture the understanding of gender was heavily tied to gender expression. Even today, when gender and gender expression are seem much more as separate things, if you see a person who looks like a woman, but is dressed in men's clothing, you shouldn't immediately dismiss the possibility that they might not be a woman. Yes, they might be a woman who for one reason or another likes to dress in masculine clothing, or they might not be.
You say I shouldn't "apply contemporary lenses of gender roles" to historical queer people, but also that I should in this historical context dismiss sexual inversion theory, which was specifically a Victorian lens (shrouded in scientific essentialist terms) to look at queerness. Sexual inversion theory is not biologically true of course, like it was proposed, but really none of our sexuality and gender categories are. Because while there probably is some biological explanations for our feelings of attraction and towards our bodies (which we haven't really found yet), how we built gender and sexuality categories around those feelings is entirely cultural. So while sexual inversion theory is not relevant today, it is still relevant to understand the historical context, since it was an attempt to explain scientifically their cultural construction of gender and sexuality. And of course the flaw with all these cultural categories is that they can not contain and represent the whole breath of human feelings, and will always leave people out in their explanations, which is obviously true with sexual inversion theory (but also for example our identity based model). But the societal understanding of these things also shape how we understand and frame our own feelings.
So briefly, in 19th century queer identities were emerging (not seen as just behavior anymore) and first queer communities were formed. In the texts of Victorian queer writers the understanding of sexuality, expression and gender are all very fluid. Edward Carpenter (a Victorian gay communist) notably wrote about "the intermediate sex" and "transitional men and women" which he understood as a sort of third gender category. Basically his understanding of queerness was conceptually similar to sexual inversion theory, but he came from a non-medicalizing and queer liberation angle (though like his writings were not entirely free of internalized queerphobia but still very revolutionary for his time). He wrote about this third gender category as a sort of spectrum that goes from feminine men interested in men, and masculine women interested in women, to cross-dressing people and people living as opposite gender. Today we might see these ends of the spectrum as more or less gnc gay men and women and trans men and women, which to him were more or less extreme expressions of the same phenomena. This also aligns with broader Victorian understanding of gender and sexuality, as gnc queer people were generally seen as a separate gender category, often, especially in case of queer men and trans fems, called fairies. As said, certainly not all Victorian queer people would have agreed or felt represented by these ideas, but this does give us some understanding how at least some of the queer and gnc people might have understood their gender.
Maybe I will need to make a full post about how I think gender should be handled and studied in history, so I can just link it to when I inevitably get yet another one of these.

hey whats Stars Align
hello. 'Stars Align' is a 2019, 12 episode anime about, among a lot of other things, soft tennis. one of its main characters is yuu asuka, a character who is explicitly non cis.
weirdly, i've been seeing a lot of criticism popping up for copal's handling of the recent mizuki event especially on the topic of their gender. i have also seen both prior to and after the release of the event people not so subtly implying that as a japanese company they have no knowledge about being trans or non-binary or any other sort of non cis identity. or that it would be "more realistic" for ena to have not known about trans people or reacted poorly to the news.
western perspectives of gender and being trans do not apply everywhere, of course, but to suggest that a complete lack of knowledge and a more unknowing/bigoted reaction to such news would be more inherent to and make more sense from a character on account of them being from a non-western culture doesn't exactly sit right with me for a number of reason i'm sure you can figure out.
japanese people are capable of understanding being queer. this should not be a novel concept. and if it is to you, try to think about why.

Regarding:
Olivia gets too much hostility compared to outrageous changes Emma d’Arcy suggest for Rhaenyra. Both of them have never opened the books but it is only Olivia who gets bad rep because she plays Alicent. Emma Darcy will get sword in season 3 because THEY wanted it not because book rhaenyra knew to use one. George’s rhae was not a warrior, this was one of the first things he said when describing her. She did not carry any sword and only wore an armor when the Blacks took King’s Landing. But they want her to visenya so bad it’s offensive. Emma was also the one who wanted rhaesaria kiss after mysaria’s SA story. It was disturbing. They say one thing to please Daemyras then other to please Rhaenicents. Almost all of their suggestions have done more harm to Nyra’s character than good. I am a fan of book Rhaenyra but this actor and show is copying her from other targ women. Daenerys then, Visenya now.
Also, sorry, but the whole "rhaenyra's at odds with her gender" "rhaenyra is genderqueer" is clearly just a self-proclaimed non binary trying to shove their identity down the audience's throats. There are ways to show a woman struggling with what it means to be a woman in a patriarchal world without jumping right to "they're genderqueer". imho it's just lazy and clearly the producers want to appeal to the wokies so who cares, but honestly, it's much more nauanced to have a feminine woman, who is a woman, who likes being a woman, and still has to grapple with what it means for her to be a woman, than just implying "oh she's nonbinary" because her actor is.
And olivia and emma referring to Rhaenyra as "they" in interviews? It pisses me. Sure, throw the characterisation AND nuance out the window, why not?
I think Emma can have the interpretation that they want about Rhaenyra as much they want. The actors on this show will always had a bias views on the characters they are playing and that is normal with such nuanced characters.
Whatever, and this is me, for all the characters for you to try to express as non binary, Rhaenyra is the last one that could work because her entire arc and identity as character is connected as her being a woman.
In Fire and Blood is highly implied that Rhaenyra lost of femininity is connected with her lost of sense of self and her going "mad". And for example is one of the reasons why I hate what Game of thrones did to Sansa and Dany because it demonizes their femininity framing as weakness. Because for D&D women are the weaker sex, and masculine characteristics are the only strong ones.
Anyways going back to that, I know even some scenes people bring up to make a point regarding that. As for example young Rhaenyra saying in the funeral that she will never be son/boy. And I want to laugh every time because, is such in bad faith interpretation because she is not saying that because she deeply down is at odds with her gender, I think she saying she wants to be the child her father always wanted because she doesn't feel enough for her father.
Another reason why I think is one of the biggest mistakes they never developed Aegon and Rhaenyra relationship. Because in one side you have Rhaenyra looking at the son her father always wanted and at the other side Aegon is looking at daughter his father loves. Both long for what other have. And that in it self is excellent potential.
Said that, I think you can write interesting stories about character that are gender nonconforming. Blue Eye Samurai, is a very interesting animation that play into that. And also talks about women being very feminine that loves being women and navigating a feudal society. You can have both. Meanwhile hotd is neither of it. But tries to sells as it is.

wanna be felled by you, held by you
pairing: Joel Miller x nonbinary!Reader
word count: 4.7k
summary: Joel has always issues with relinquishing control. Time in the safety and community of Jackson has changed him, though, and he wants to give all his control to you, let you pull him apart.
content/warnings: established relationship, non-binary transmasculine reader, no implied age gap, Joel is uncircumcised, vaguely implied past Joel x Reader x Tess polycule, Joel calls you sir & daddy, you call Joel a good boy, sub!joel, cock sucking, titty fucking (reader has breasts big enough to partake in such), face sitting, piv, a smidge of dysphoria alluded to, crying, everyone's bi, one (1) smack to the face, it's literally just 4.3k of smut with 400 words of domesticity, slight bit of bloodthirstiness (but just as love as consumption)
a/n: title from NFWMB by Hozier. There's a lot of fic out there with helpless naive reader (which is fucking excellent, don't get me wrong), but I wanted to write something where you and Joel are on par with one another. Also, wanted to say--this is written as one character's experience as a nonbinary person. I'm nonbinary, but in no way want to suggest that the way I've written this is necessarily a universal nonbinary experience. Pls be kind 💜 Would love to know if y'all like this and would read more nb reader fics!!
✨check out my masterlist for other fics 😚✨
The first time Joel asked you to blindfold him and fuck him rough, you thought he was joking.
You laughed and stroked his cheek, "That would be fun," you admitted, teasing, "Be careful what you wish for, baby."
He rolled his eyes and kissed you, and the day went on, uneventful.
The thought weighed on you. It would be fun, but this was Joel Miller talking. He was, arguably, something of a control freak. Insistent on shouldering burdens not only his own, but of all the people he loved. You'd never seen him willingly give up an ounce of control, and the few unwilling times it'd happened, he would drive himself nearly to death trying to seem unaffected by injury. He'd carry on as he insisted he must, even when his bones were broken or he was bleeding out. Even when you, or Ellie, or, Tess (back in the day) were patching up cuts or setting bones, he'd grumble and insist he was fine, only shutting up when he quite literally passed out from the pain or blood loss. He was as stubborn as he was devoted, and he was a devoted man.
So the idea of Joel relinquishing even a crumb of control seemed outlandish. You were a better shot than him. A faster runner, too. But he was so self-possessed. You were certain, too, it was part of the reason he was such a good fuck. He payed attention to every detail, noticed every one of your gasps and whines, at this point able to get you off faster than you could get yourself off. His fingers knew right where to press, his tongue licking and sucking at you, teeth biting at nipples, grip bruising you so deliciously. He could fuck you for hours and leave you stumbling, spent and sated.
That said, it'd be a lie to say it was an unappealing thought to turn the tables on him.
You'd love to pull him apart piece by piece, if he would ever let you.
Joel was off patrolling today, due back any time, and you were making dinner. You were thankful for the ingredients available in Jackson and swore to make good use of them, every single time.
You'd roasted butternut squash with garlic and sage, scooped out the flesh, and mixed it with spinach and cheese. Then, carefully piped it back into the squash skins and roasted it again.
It was decadent, and a favorite of yours. Rich and creamy and everything you loved about autumn flavors.
Right as you were turning the oven on to broil, you heard the latch click and heavy footsteps crossed the threshold.
"Supper's nearly ready," you call, and you hear a soft grumble from across the room as he stomped off his boots and hung up his coat.
Joel slides up behind you, arms circling around your stomach, chin resting on your shoulder.
"Hey baby," you greet, turning your head to place a kiss on the curve of his nose. "Good day?"
"Hmm," he grunts, noncommittal, "Better now that I'm home with you. Dinner smells great."
"Just a few more minutes left. Letting the cheese get bubbly."
"Mmm," he groaned, "Is this that squash thing?"
"Yep."
"Ellie home?"
"Nah. Out for the night, I think."
"So I get you all to myself?" He shoots you a cheeky grin.
"Don't distract me, Miller," you snort, "You will not cause me to burn dinner again, so help me God."
"Distract you?" He says in mock offense as he walks over to the fridge, "I would never distract you, baby."
He pulls out two beers and pops the tops, handing one to you. You clink with him and both take a swig. Jackson beer was something else. After years of nothing even slightly palatable, it was a luxury you swore you would never take for granted again.
Your timer buzzes and you pull the roasting pan out of the oven as Joel sets the table.
Dinner is pleasant. Joel's famished from patrol and he wolfs down his first serving at a speed that might have rivalled Ellie's, back when you were all travelling together. He finishes his first beer, and then a second, and when he reaches for the whiskey, you raise an eyebrow at him.
"You're really putting that away," you frown, and he winces, sheepish.
"I-" He starts, and stumbles, hesitating.
"You okay, Joel?" You ask.
He nods, and grins, and it's a funny grin because if you didn't know better you'd think he was nervous.
"I'm a bit nervous," he says, and your eyebrows shoot up in surprise.
"Why you nervous baby? Did something go bad on patrol?"
"No, I-"
"You trying to propose?" you tease, "Wait, no--you're cheating on me?"
"Oh shut up," he rolls his eyes and laughs. "Nothin' so serious."
"So-?" you press, "What is it then?"
He pours a finger of whiskey and takes a sip, and it's calculated. Calming. That bit of control, again, he needs to put off.
"You remember the other week, what I said?"
"My back hurts?" you suggest.
"Smartass," he snorts.
"My knees hurt."
"Jesus. No, the other thing."
You try and take account of whatever it might be, but nothing's coming to you.
"I have no clue what you're talking about, Joel."
He takes a deep breath and looks at you dead in the eye. Determined.
"I know you thought I was joking, but I wasn't joking," he says, "I want you to blindfold me. Fuck me rough. Let me... lose myself in you. Use me."
There's a moment of silence.
"You sure, Joel?" you ask, not wanting to sound too eager. "Cos I'm happy to do it, I just know that... well. If I were to expect anyone would like to be blindfolded, you're not at the top of my list."
"Oh really? And who's at the top of your list."
"Well, I bet Tommy would--"
Joel cuts you off with a sputtering cough as his whiskey goes down wrong. "Let's not talk about my brother right now."
"I remember Tess used to," you recall, and Joel nods. Shrugs.
"I guess I just- I've never seen you out of control. You sure you can do that for me?"
Joel ponders and nods. "I can be good for you," he insists.
"Okay, then," you tell him, "When do you wanna do this?"
"Well," he grins, and runs a hand down your arm, "Like you said, we'll be alone tonight."
"Joel Miller, you absolute freak," you tease and he grumbles.
You ponder for a moment before nodding. "Okay, baby, let's get showered and then we can start. I'm covered in cooking sweat, and I think you might still have a bit of clicker gunk on you."
He brushes at a chunk of something in his hair and grimaces. "I'll take care of dishes later. Let's go, baby."
Shower sex wasn't really your thing; there was always less friction than you'd expect, and one person would hog the water while the other was standing, freezing in the extraneous spray. It was easy to slip, and the angle was never quite right.
You did, however, love shower foreplay.
You let Joel run his hands across your back, spreading suds up and down you, rubbing at the sore impressions where your binder had cut into you throughout the day. You loved feeling his body, slick from the wet with coarse curls of hair across his entire chest, trailing down his torso, his belly, into the thick thatch between his legs. More than anything, though, you loved feeling his cock hardening against your leg as he massaged conditioner into your scalp, before you could turn around and return the favor.
Once you were both clean, you made your way to the bedroom.
Thankful that you'd changed the sheets this morning, you were thrilled that the bed was made with your favorite linen sheets. A little luxury that you could bask in, sensation that always delivered.
"You ready, Joel?" you ask, and he nods.
"Let's do it."
From the box under the bed, you pull out the blindfold. A makeshift piece that was once a sleeping mask, cut and stitched to have long, tying ends that could be pulled taught and prevent any light getting in. The two of you didn't use it often, and you'd been the only one to ever wear it, but it helped that it was a familiar thing.
"Sit," you tell him, and he backs up on to the bed. You take a moment to look him up and down, drink him in. You want him to see how you're looking at him. At all of him. From his freshly washed feet to his heavy, half-hard cock, to the damp curls of his salt-and-pepper hair, you want him to know exactly what it is you see. A man. A partner. A whole fucking meal.
You hold the blindfold up to him and wrap it around his head, crossing the ends over front and back again before giving it a little tug.
"Can you see anything?" you ask, and his face twitches a little as he tests it.
"No," he confirms, "Can't see a thing."
"Okay," you tell him, "Good boy."
He lets out a sharp, surprised exhale and you immediately see how his cock stiffens at your words.
"Oh, you like that, huh?" you ask, and he nods.
"Use your words, Joel," you tell him and he scrambles to obey.
"Yes, yes, sir, I like that."
"Mmm," you hum in affirmation, "Glad to hear it."
You start torturously slow, directing him as needed.
"Lay back," you tell him, "All the way on the bed," and he does, inching his way up.
"Arms up, too," you command, "You don't get to touch me without my say-so, got it?"
He lets out a grumble but nods.
"I'm gonna take my time with you," you tell him, and now you're making your way up the bed, close to straddling him, but not letting an inch of your skin press against his hard cock.
You know that the warmth of your cunt is radiating heat towards him, and that he can feel it as his hips unconsciously buck up towards you, focused enough that he still doesn't dare touch you, but not by much. You feel yourself start to get wet at the sight of him laid bare before you. It's times like these that you're awe-struck. So in love with this man you want to slice him open and bury yourself in the sticky wet viscera. Eat his guts. Kill for him. Die for him. Consume every part of him and let him consume you.
You lean over his body and press kisses to every silvered scar you can find. From his forehead, to the old bullet wound on his arm. Down his chest, his belly. The gouge you and Ellie had had to stitch up years ago, ugly and pink and perfect; a testament to his endurance.
Every press of your lips to his skin and Joel is gasping. You know he's feeling it--the thing you like most about being blindfolded is not knowing where sensation will occur next. Not being able to anticipate a touch here, a bite there, the way his hands grip your body. The surprise is part of the allure, and with every kiss you place on his bare skin, he lets out another shuddering breath.
"You're doing good for me," you praise, and you swear you can see him blush, his cheeks reddening beneath the blindfold.
You start slowly, dragging your calloused fingertips from the swell of his thighs, up his torso to his nipples, pinching them a little, delighting in the way he shudders at the sensation. You avoid his cock, but every time you run your fingers along his inner thighs, he would rut up towards you in a mortifying involuntary motion.
He was so eager. He was so fucking perfect. Exactly what you needed. You were so grateful, every day, that you'd made it this far when it had often felt impossible that you might live another day.
"Gonna let me play with you the way I want to?" you ask, and he nods, vigorous.
"So good for me," you tell him, "So good. Hard for me, ready for me to use, huh?"
"Yes," he agreed, "Use me, please."
You rub your drooling pussy against his length, getting it wet and slick. Then, you take his cock in your hand.
He wasn't expecting it and he's shuddering at the sensation. "It's so much," he whispers, awed.
Joel thrusts into your hand as you start pumping along his length in earnest. Your thumb swipes over his slit, and then slides down, gripping with your forefinger as you apply pressure to the base of his shaft, You watch as the blood vessels swell, your hands working as a pseudo-cock ring, and Joel whimpers and pants against the sensation.
"Look at how fat your cock is for me," you praise, "I can't wait to sit on this."
Joel's inhale sounds ragged and worn, and he exhales something close to a sob.
"Feel so good, honey," he tells you, "Fuck, your hands feel so good around me."
"You like this, huh, Joel?" you ask, and you know it's true. He's so hard, rubbing against you as he gives you all his faith, all his trust.
"Yes, Christ, yes!-" he gasps.
You give him a few more strokes and then lower yourself over him, holding your breasts tight together, letting his hard cock press up between them.
Your breasts weren't your favorite thing, God knows if top surgery were a safe option in this world you'd probably opt for it, but apart from an occasional dysphoric spell, you'd more or less made peace with that part of yourself. You knew, too, how Joel loved feeling the plush of your breasts against his skin, and when you were comfortable, you were happy to make the most of them.
The second you slid his cock between your heavy breasts, Joel lets out a strangled groan. "God, yes baby," he heaves, and without thinking, reaches to grab at you, clutching your shoulder with one hand and burying his hand in your hair with the other.
You immediately stop and draw back, delivering a firm smack to his jaw. Not enough to hurt, just enough to startle, and he reels back, throwing his head back onto the pillow.
"The fuck did I say, hmm?" you ask, and he lets out a breath.
"I'm sorry baby, sorry sir-"
"You know what you did wrong?"
"Touched you-" his breathing is heavy, labored in the most beautiful, raw way. "Touched you without your permission."
"That's right," you tell him. You drag your fingertips through his hair, along his scalp, down his neck and across his chest. He shudders and his hips buck up towards nothing, involuntary.
"You gonna be good for me now?" you ask him and he nods, vigorous.
"I'll be good for you," he hisses, "You're so good to me, fuck, thank you, thank you-!"
You lean back down, pressing your breasts together again. Fisting his cock and stroking it, watching him squirm. You press down again, letting him fuck up between your tits.
"Don't move," you warn him when you see his fingers start to twitch, "Keep those hands above your head and let me make you feel good."
"Yes sir-"
"Good boy."
He groans, and you start to move. Pressing your breasts tighter together, swallowing his length entirely, gliding up and down. You feel the slick of his tip starting to weep precum, smell the delicious tang of it.
With your free hand, you swipe a thumb over his head, delighting in the way he squirms and ruts against you.
You lick the slickness off your thumb and moan. "Taste so good, baby," you tell him, "You wanna try it?"
"Oh fuck, yes, please," he whines.
You swipe your thumb over his slit again and bring it up to his mouth, still sliding your breasts up and down his length.
"Open up," you direct, prodding at the side of his mouth. He does, opens his mouth with a shuddering breath, tongue glistening and ready. You press your thumb against his tongue and he licks and sucks at it greedily.
"Look at you," you tell him, "Licking up your own cum like a good boy, huh? So fucking good for me."
"Thank you sir," he hums, and you give him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I'm gonna suck your cock now, Joel," you tell him, "And then I'm gonna ride you. And I'm gonna get myself off at least three times on you before you get to come. You got that?"
"Jesus Christ," he groans, "Yes-! Can I-" he cuts himself off.
"What?" you ask.
"Can I eat your pussy?" he asks.
You grin. "Ooh, look at you," you tell him, "Taking the initiative, huh? What a good boy you are. But you gotta be patient for me."
You scoot back on the bed and let a string of saliva drip from your mouth onto the head of his cock. He immediately shudders and fucks his hips up towards the air.
"Blindfold still blocking everything, yeah?" you ask.
"Yeah," he confirms, "Can't see a thing."
"Good," you say, and then without an ounce of warning, you grip his cock, stroking down, pulling his foreskin back and plunging the hot wet gash of your mouth down and around his entire length, nose pressing into the sweaty curls at his base.
The shout he lets out is delicious. Loud and strangled, half an exclamation, half a curse–"Fuck baby, Jesus fuckin' Christ that mouth feels so fucking good. I don't fuckin' deserve you, don't deserve how fuckin' perfect you are, how good you make me feel-"
You bob your head up and down, swallowing him deep and then pulling back, making sure to swirl your tongue along his head.
"So damn good," he gasps, and his words are stilted and broken.
You keep going, for maybe a minute, maybe an hour. The sensation is too much and he's panting and gasping. "I can't-" he cries, "you're gonna make me come, please-"
You pull off immediately, and he hisses at the loss of your lips around him, and then moans into your mouth when you lean in to lick against his tongue, letting him taste every bit of his own musk.
"You're doing good, baby," you praise, loving the way he shudders in response. "Now hold still, I'm gonna ride that cock."
You straddle his hips, swipe your cunt along his length, feeling the way he shakes and twitches against you. You're wet, so damn turned on, soaking, trailing your slick along him as you rut up against him. Then, you fist his cock and, excruciatingly slowly, sink down onto him.
The broken wail that escapes his lips is delicious, ragged and beautiful.
You bounce up and down, watching with pleasure as Joel's fingers twitch, like he's trying so hard not to reach for you, grab for you like he usually does.
You rock along his length, sliding up and down, nearly unseating him from you before sinking back down. You find the right angle for his cock head to press just right against that sweet spot and feel your legs start to shake.
"I can feel it," he grunts, teeth bared, "Feel you getting close."
"Think you deserve to feel me come around you?" You ask, and you can feel it approach. "Think you can feel me come all over this dick and you won't come yourself?"
"Yes, sir," he cries out, "I'll be so good for you. Won't come till you let me."
"Good boy," you stroke his cheek and rub your thumb over your clit in punishing circles, feel your pussy start to clench.
"Gonna ride this out," you tell him, and feel yourself tip over the edge with a broken gasp. Your walls throb around him, pulsing tightly, and Joel looks absolutely pained as you slam yourself down him over and over, practically choking his cock with your tightness.
You're heaving and half-overstimulated but the way he looks wrecked is so beautiful you need more.
"Think you can handle another one?" You ask and he splutters a gasp.
"Already?" he breathes.
You keep your thumb pressing circles round your clit as you keep riding.
"Already." You agree. You've barely finished riding through the aftershocks but you're so wound up, you know you can get yourself there quickly.
"Fuck," Joel whines, "Oh god, oh god-"
You feel yourself start to tip over the edge again and Joel's face is screwed up in concentration, doing his absolute best not to bust in you before he has your permission. His cheeks and chest are flushed, sweat dripping down his temple, soaking into the blindfold. He breathes ragged, heaving breaths and the sight before you makes you come all that much harder.
"God, you feel so fucking good, baby," you tell him, and your pussy's still clenching around him, your slick gushing around him, drenching his thighs.
You pull off of him and he chokes at the loss of contact.
"Gotta taste us now, baby. Clean this pussy up. When you're done, I'll let you come."
He nods, eager, and opens his mouth, his tongue waiting to taste you.
"Need you down the bed," you tell him, and he scoots down, tongue still out. You climb up his body, straddling his stomach and his chest, trailing slick all up his torso, before resting your knees on either side of his face and slowly lowering down.
He's so dedicated, the moment he feels your heat near him you can see the way his mouth waters, his tongue darting out to find your folds. He licks you deep and long, groaning at the taste.
"How do we taste?" you ask, and his exhale is shaky and rough.
"Never tasted anythin' this good in my life." He tells you, wrecked. "We taste so fuckin' good together. Could drink ya all day long."
"We might have to try that," you ponder, "But for now, I just need you to give me one more. Can you do that? One more, baby boy?"
"Fuck, yes sir." He nods his head vigorously and reaches his neck up to press his lips back to your dripping cunt.
"Yeah, that's it. Nice long strokes now, yeah? You gotta swallow every drop of me baby, every drop of this pussy juice I can give you."
He grunts an affirming noise and does as you ask. Long licks from taint to clit. Deep, hot, laving wetness, making you jerk and mewl, riding his face like he was made to take it. Maybe he was.
"When it's good and clean," you instruct, "I need you to focus on this clit, yeah? That's it, baby, point your tongue. Press hard. I've already come twice and I'm nearly numb– Need that extra bit of sensation if you're gonna get me off right, and I know you will get me off right if you wanna come tonight."
Every sound he makes is akin to a whine, a gasp, a sob. He buries his face deep, at one point nearly reaching up to grab your thighs and pull you closer, but he realizes his mistake before he starts to touch you.
"Good boy remembering the rules," you praise, and you grab him by the wrists, holding them against the bed, above his head. You sink lower, letting yourself nearly suffocate him, but he doesn't mind. He loves it. Growls into your pussy and eats you till tears are pooling in his eyes and your legs are trembling so hard you're worried any extra sensation might topple you over. It's building quick and fast and so fucking nice.
"Joel, I-" you stumble, nearly unable to speak. Overwhelmed. "I think I'm gonna come again." You say, and you feel the rumble of his affirmation against you.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, yes just like that, you eat pussy so fucking good, I'm gonna, I'm gonna-"
You come with a scream, thighs smothering him, hips rocking against his chin, his tongue, his nose. The scratch of his patchy beard feels incredible against your soft skin and you fuck his face hard, less careful than ever before about how you sink into him.
Catching your breath, sated, you pull yourself up and off Joel, licking his face clean of your cum as you allow him to catch his breath.
"Done so good for me," you tell him, "You ready to come now too?"
"Yes-" he cries, still gasping for breath, "Yes, sir."
"Can't believe we've never done this before," you praise, "You're a natural. Just gotta give up a little control like a good boy, let daddy make you feel good."
He shudders and twitches, groaning at the name you've given yourself.
You turn your attention back to his cock and nearly gasp. It looks red and angry with need, precum catching at his foreskin before overflowing, streaming down his length.
"Where do you want to come?" you ask him, giving him this one concession.
"Huh?" he asks, clearly surprised.
"In me?" you suggest, "On me? Pick a hole. Pick a body part. It's yours."
"Jesus," he groans, and thinks. "Your mouth," he decides, "Wanna come in that sweet mouth."
"It's yours."
You seat yourself at the end of the bed and give him a few kitten licks, loving the way he hisses as you clean the arousal off of him. "You can come for me whenever you want, now, baby," you tell him. "Did so good, I think you deserve it."
"Thank you," he cries, "Fuck, thank you baby."
You pull his foreskin back again and wrap your lips around his throbbing head, loving the taste of the tangy musk of the nectar spilling from him. You don't go down far, just around the head and back again, just a little. Sucking hard. Licking. Drinking him in. He shudders and gasps and cries and you're pretty sure he's weeping at this point, his hips bucking up, pressing his cock deeper and deeper down your throat.
You let him. He's certainly earned it by now.
In a few moments, his thrusts get erratic, and you run your teeth gently along the pulsing veins, marveling at the beautiful, intricate web of life that rushes through him, red and hot and so close to the surface. Blood pumping so fast and thick.
"I'm comin'-" he chokes, and suddenly, hot sputtering bursts of cum filling your mouth, coming and coming and coming till it's dripping out the sides of your lips and dripping down your chin.
You keep a hand around the base of his cock, jacking him gently till you're sure everything he has to give is in you. Running a hand up his body, you delight in the harsh, heavy breaths he gasps out.
Groping around his head, you pull at the blindfold, tugging gently till it's pulled above his eyes. He scrunches them closed for a moment, readjusting to the lit room, before looking at you, jaw dropped.
You're sitting before him, totally bare, skin sticky with sweat, thighs glistening, and his cum in your mouth, except for where it's dripped down your chin and breasts. You open your mouth to show him, just for a moment, and then swallow, delighting in the way he groans at the sight. Then you wipe your chin with the back of your hand, lick it up, and pull him up towards you so you can kiss him properly.
He grabs you by the back of the head and pulls you in, hungry and sated at the same time.
"That was so good, honey," he tells you, "So fucking good."
You give him a gentle kiss to his forehead, enjoying the sensation of your sweaty, sticky bodies pressed against one another. His tears, unimpeded now, are streaming down his cheeks but he's grinning like a maniac.
"Never thought you'd let someone fuck you blindfolded like that," you tell him and he snorts.
"Me neither," he admits, "But- I trust you. And I'm workin' on it. On bein'- vulnerable."
"I liked it."
"Me too."
"So, can I tie you up next time?"
Joel snorts. "We'll see. Might need at least a week to recover from this one."
"We'll see," you agree, smirking. "We will see."

This might be a weird question but I’m first Generation Greek diaspora in Canada and I often feel disconnected from my culture. I have found out that I’m non-binary in some way and I want to change my name because it’s a very feminine name. However, it’s also a very Greek name, and I feel like erasing it in place of some WASP or USian name would make me feel even more disconnected from my culture. I’ve been looking online for Greek unisex name lists but they always have names that no Greek actually has or are not unisex. I know that we have a problem with naming people the same thing, I think like 50% of the Greek girls I meet are named Maria or some variant of it, but I have met some cool names people. Still, I want to choose a name that reflects my culture and my identity and I haven’t come out to my family yet so I can’t ask them. Anyways, I was just wondering if you could think of any off the top of your head or if you could recommend a baby name list. Sorry if this is hard I don’t mean to stress you out, I just don’t have many people who I can talk to about Greek culture
Hi! Perhaps you could go with Χάρις which is feminine but also sounds like Χάρης, the masculine name. ;) Or some other modern Greek names that end in -ις. (Which.... tbh I can't think of anything atm 😂) But feel free to check some and come back to ask if you can use them nowadays.
I am not non-binary and I don't have the energy or time to go to queer Greek spaces although I belong there 😅 This is to say that I am not aware of any solution that the Greek ΛΟΑΤΚΙ+ community has found for this. And that anyone who knows what's going on can fill us in.
The explanation/context:
It's true that Greek names are gendered so I cannot find anything from the top of my mind to suggest :/ I was about to suggest some more "powerful" Greek names (like Alexandra) but that would also suggest that there are "masculine" and "feminine" traits that belong only to a certain gender. I don't want to imply that war or physical power is strictly a "masculine" thing ya know, or that a "Maria" is automatically feminine and cannot be assertive or even fire a gun. Traits don't have "feminine" and "masculine" vibes to me, they are just human traits. After all, Greek women are known for their resilience and toughness, the ability to terrify anyone with merely a stare and a slipper/stick, and their fierceness when they make it into military ranks.
Tbh I think Greeks experience being non-binary beyond names. Names can be irrelevant. E.g. you can have a feminine or a masculine name and still be non-binary. English speakers often make a fuss about what names are masculine and feminine but I haven't seen Greeks care much about it. Greeks don't argue about what names are "more feminine". That's not how we see names and that's not how we connect them with gender. No one cares if they call you Melina and you have 100 piercings and ride a motorcycle. So in this society there's no thought to get rid of your name if it doesn't "match" your actions or basic expression.
Ofc you can change your name for whatever reason. I am only speaking on the Greek mindset about names and gender. The Greek non-binary people I've met in Greece go by their gendered baptism names. In online spaces only they go by English names, or just by their initials, as the English trend is.
Sometimes I also suspect that there are differences between what feels non-binary for a Greek and what feels non-binary for a Canadian. I might be completely wrong here, but I am letting this thought out there to see if there are indeed different perspectives. For example, I've felt a difference between local queerness in some cases, like when USians see a Greek woman with "αγορέ" short hair and...average person movements (not feminine or masculine I mean, just a person existing), and immediately switch to "they/them". Meanwhile for Greek society this person naturally falls into the "default woman" category and we wouldn't see any reason to not use she/her. (I'm talking about cases where the person also doesnt say anywhere that they are non-binary or that they use they/them pronouns.)
In aaaaany case, our societal norms, our histories, and presentations are not the same and for this reason I also applaud your decision to choose a name that reflects your culture and identity. As people we are a mix of many things and our characteristics carry a cultural flavour.
Given all this, and driven by practicality, I would say that it would be better to go with a feminine name (because of your physical presentation) but choose whatever feels better for you. Don't think of Greek names for females as "more or less" feminine, since that's not the Greek way of thinking.
More suggestions:
You can choose a name that honours your values, or a characteristic that you want to have or you are proud that you have. You can choose names that express concepts, like "wisdom" (Σοφία), "love" (Αγάπη), "freedom" (Ελευθερία/Ρία), "hope" (Ελπίδα), "salvation" (Σωτηρία), "reign" (Βασιλεία), "happy/beloved" (Ασπασία), grace (Χάρις).
Just because these words are feminine, it doesn't mean that they are feminine traits. They are feminine GRAMMATICALLY. Something that English speakers might not understand is that gendered language doesn't mean that you assign gender to things. Heck, even the chair is a feminine noun in Greek but no one suggests there's any feminine about a chair 😂"Dick" (yes the genitals) can also be a feminine word. (η πούτσα) Like, the feminine pronoun doesn't mean anything.
Sure, the connection between names and sex is strong in Greek, but not in the sense English speakers (or people who speak neutral-gender languages) might think. We can recognise Greek sexism and separatism but at the same time I think it's important to understand that each society sees different traits in the sexes and genders.
You could also choose names like "farmer" (Γιωργία, to suggest that you like to work the earth), or the name of some Greek goddess, or some Greek saint to show that you have their attributes. Or the name of an empress, or the name of an emperor but in its feminine version (e.g. Κωνσταντίνα). Maybe the name of a Muse, if you are a creative.
That's it from me 💙 Sorry to have delayed this answer but I needed to think a lot, and life doesn't let me think or answer to asks a lot these days. I hope I managed to help even a little bit.
=====================================
As I said, I am not non-binary, and I don't want to speak over non-binary people. I am answering this because you said that you don't have lots of people to talk about these things, and perhaps it's better to have someone queer say some stuff about it. As always, more opinions are welcome in the comments and reblogs. I don't have all the knowledge in the world.

You shouldn't be here.
You really shouldn't be here.
You didn't even have the clearance needed to get to through the site door, let alone into 953's containment area — hell you couldn't even remember how you got in, just knew that you were here now and there wasn’t any hope of being able to back out. It was stupid and reckless and strictly forbidden by everyone who had even heard of 953, and you'd been briefed on that much a few dozen times by now, and surely you'd be heavily punished if not outright killed by the foundation if they found out you were here (if you survived) — so there really was no turning back.
Though, oddly, the thought of leaving didn't even cross your mind — not even as you knocked out your colleagues and forced your way through door after reinforced door to get to her, nor when you slammed your body against her containment room door in order to force it open when the mechanism stalled. No, instead your thoughts all focused on one singular thing; her. The fox with her nine beautiful tails and the gorgeous woman she could become and how you had to see her, know her, please her.
No matter how hard the small, rational part of your mind — itself just barely clinging to coherence and survival by this point and only just about being heard over the drowning cacophony of lust and need and someone else's words that weren't your own— screamed at you to back away and run the moment you laid eyes on her, you just couldn’t do it. Despite knowing how dangerous she was, knowing how much she despises humans, knowing that whatever she had planned for you couldn’t have been good, knowing that she was classed as keter for good reason.
And yet still, you couldn't stop yourself: stop yourself from wrapping your arms around her long, pale legs and massaging her soft thighs as they rested comfortably atop your shoulders; stop yourself from pressing the flat of your tongue along her wet slit as you licked a thick stripe along it, gathering her slick on the surface as you went and moaning at the flavour; stop yourself from wrapping your lips around her beautifully swollen clit and sucking on it with just enough pressure to have her arching her back; stop yourself from thrusting the length of your tongue into her sweet, tight pussy and groaning at every flutter or tense of her muscles; stop yourself from leaning into her touch and beaming under her praise as you ate her out; stop yourself from enjoying it so much that you could already feel your cock throbbing and aching beneath you as you laid flat on your stomach; stop yourself from chasing her high with more vigour than your own as you felt her thighs tremble and her breathing go from gasping to panting.
But you couldn't stop, not now, and you both knew it — you were too far gone, a lost cause in the truest of senses, and now as she's sent tumbling over the edge of climax you can only hope that your death is quick and painless. That this orgasm, that had her nails digging into your scalp and her legs wrapping tightly around your shoulders, would be enough to make her somewhat more merciful than normal. That this climax, that had her head lolling back so hard that you heard it smack against the floor as her mouth parted in a perfect 'o' and she cried out in two different tongues, could be your salvation. That this high, that had her squirting and gushing all over your face to the extent that even your throat and her inner thighs were drenched in her cum, would soften her heart enough to kill you without any additional suffering.
And soon she was finished, coming down from her high with a contented sigh as she let her legs fall limp on either side of your body and looked down at you with those dangerously dark eyes. Then, she suddenly reached down and grabbed your chin between her thumb and forefinger, forcing you to turn your attention to the mirror you'd forgotten was there (was it normal or a one way mirror? You couldn't recall) and you realised that she wasn't quite done with you yet.
She wanted to draw this out for as long as possible — she wanted to play with her food, and you weren't in any position to deny her.
—————
Within seconds you were forcibly flipped over as 953 straddled your waist, slicing through your pants with startling ease and pulling your aching cock out to trace it along her soaking wet slit. Once. Then twice. And then a third time as you whimpered and groaned and helplessly grasped at her waist — barely able to look at your reflection, and yet unable to look away as she'd stop every time you did. She wanted — no, needed — you to watch as she sunk down onto your dick and took you completely in a single fluid movement; to watch as she made you a pathetic, moaning mess and played with you however she pleased.
But for as much of a mess as you became, you couldn't help but let your eyes stray past your own blown-out pupils and drooling, panting lips to stare at her reflection in the mirror instead. Letting your eyes drift up from the point where her pretty cunt was swallowing your cock and soaking the smattering of hair around its base, along the smooth expanse of her skin to her ample chest — watching as it arched, and rose and fell with every breath, unable to stop yourself from reaching upwards to play with it (to grope, to weigh, to pinch, roll and tease). Misty eyes flitting in triangular motions between her full pussy, her swishing red tail and her face — half obscured by messy tendrils of black hair, but you were still able to single out her soft lips as they twitched upwards into a mirthful grin and her gleaming yellow eyes that glared down at you with something more than just pure malice.
Hunger? Hatred, perhaps? Either way you knew you wouldn't make it out alive, so you resigned yourself to your fate — watching your reflection keenly as you felt yourself nearing climax.
Allowing your eyes to linger on your face: lips parted into a shaky 'o', eyes half lidded and so heavy you could barely keep them open, brows slightly furrowed with intent as you tried to will yourself to keep on watching.
Unable to stop your gaze from drifting again to watch as she swallowed and soaked every inch of your length, submitting yourself to the moment entirely as you finally let your hands fall down to her waist and started to fuck upwards into her tight cunt. Pace clumsy and jerky but more than enough to sate you and your heavy eyes and your clenching muscles and your throbbing cock.
The feelings and sounds and sights all so completely and utterly overwhelming that you found yourself climaxing soon after — pushed over the edge with a guttural groan and the clenching of her wet pussy around you as she fell over the edge once again. Climaxing so hard that your eyes clamped shut and your vision was overrun with splotches and smears and explosions of bright white light. Climaxing so hard that your hands clamped down on her sides and somehow managed to keep her still as you filled her to the brim with your cum. Climaxing so hard that your skin burned and your heart pounded so loudly that you weren't able to hear anything beyond its arrhythmic thumping in your ears. Climaxing so hard that your mind went blank beyond the foggy repetitions of her moans and whimpers — beyond the crashing waves of pleasure that wracked through your body over and over and over again.
Climaxing so hard that you didn't even recognise the sharp pain of her digging her claws into your abdomen and tearing your stomach apart — too caught up in your high to even realise that you were dying.
Not that you could have done anything anyway; you'd been hers since the moment you entered her room.

not to be a stick in the mud but isn't people's identity the most important thing? if someone says they identify as something, than they identify as that and they know better than we do? if he says he is a boy... i've done all that, but the other way around as a very masculine girl, got harassed on the street and wore dresses at home bc my parent's scared me more than the world. then i grew up and a bunch of my friends started asking me when i was going to transition and started using they/them or he/him pronouns to refers to me bc i just needed to crack, but i've always just been gnc, but it took them awhile to stop. is every gnc person actually gender conforming trans people waiting to come out? idk about that
this message has a lot to address imo so. see under the cut
first things first. makoto used the term “otokonoko”, a word that yes can mean boy (男の子, with 子 = ko as in child), but in this context it's 男の娘 (娘 = ko as in daughter). this term has a heavy and long history, which i recommend reading about. otokonoko can and is often used to discuss crossdressing amab people, but it has also been used to describe pre-transition trans girls or just trans girls in the closet or even out trans girls (see luka from steins;gate, god that shit pisses me off so much). let's just say it's a term loaded with history and lacking in an actual definition, as far as i know. anime is full of “otokonoko’s” who are just trans girls trying to survive in a transphobic society that heavily associates sex and gender. once you start seeing the pattern of trans anime girls being denied their identity as women by being third gendered as an otokonoko it’s impossible to miss, and it becomes clear that “crossdressings boys” in anime are often just a more socially acceptable way to portray trans women. historically, trans women have been third gendered as a way to deny them their identity as women, and this third gendering can become internalized. that does not mean they are not trans women. next.
as someone who grew up as a tomboy, being a masculine presenting “girl” is much much different than being a feminine presenting “boy”. wearing “boy’s clothes” at school as a “girl” is not nearly as dangerous as wearing skirts as a “boy” (in most cases and places). and i say this as someone who got bullied as a gnc amab person might have been, as in, i was targeted by boys (and often got in violent physical altercations) and was called the f and t slur my whole childhood despite not being amab. imo you and i cannot really compare our situation to makoto’s, as neither of us is amab from my understanding.
i also want to address something you mentioned that bothers me, mostly based on the wording.
is every gnc person actually gender conforming trans people waiting to come out?
i really don't like how this is worded, as to me it almost implies that we live in a world wherein being a "gender conforming" trans person is more acceptable that being gnc. like im sorry your friends made u uncomfortable by implying you're an egg and im glad you got it sorted out but uhm. you understand your experience is not the norm, unless you have a queer social circle? like let's not be too chronically online here. we live in an insanely transphobic society... another reason why i dont like this sentence is that i have recently seen a lot of discourse (ofc mostly aimed at trans women bc they're the default hate target) about how being non binary / gnc is more "progressive" and "radical" than being a binary trans woman, because they fit in the gender binary, which we want dismantled. im not even gonna get into how braindead this whole conversation is, i suggest you follow some transfems (who have not been nuked lol) and learn more about this from them. if you did not mean this sentence this way i apologize, but i wanted to mention why i disliked the wording.
back to makoto. based on episode 1 alone, if we look at other anime and manga with otokonoko's and the history of the term, and we see how withdrawn and socially shunned makoto is, how her identity is womanhood and manhood is her mask, it becomes clear that she's a pre-transition trans girl. i did not read the manga but i know for a fact makoto also later displays signs of gender dysphoria in relation to puberty. i also know that in the latter part of the story, the author fumbles the bag, so to speak, tho i am not sure how precisely, as im avoiding spoilers. this is when it's time to don our media comprehension glasses on. let me make a comparison with autistic representation in media. authors often write autistic characters and when asked about it, they deny it. or later in the story, a character loses their autistic traits with no explanation. in these situations, is the character autistic? the way i see it, my answer would be "yes, despite authorial ignorance". in this sense, yes, i do think makoto was meant to be a trans girl, written by an author who showed shortcomings due to ignorance and poor research. but we are not talking about late manga chapters, but about episode 1. and based on it, makoto is clearly a trans girl, as all contextual clues lead to that conclusion.
when i mention "media literacy" as an issue, i am using this show as an example, as this is a trend i have seen a lot. part of media literacy is also integrating what we know of the social, cultural and political environment in which an author writes a story. in this specific case, understanding the social position and history of trans women in japanese society and japanese media is key to understanding makoto's identity beyond authorial intent and vocabulary. imo.
tl;dr: to answer your questions. is every gnc person a binary trans person? no. is makoto a trans girl? also yes, based on episode 1 alone. based on the history of the term otokonoko (男の娘), past representation of trans womanood and gender non conformity in japanese media, and on contextual clues in the story, makoto fits the bill as a closeted trans girl. are you not trans just because you have not realised it yet?

"have you ever considered...that identifying out of woman/girlhood because you don't relate to the societal implications, expectations, etc... contributes to making womanhood (feel) even more restrictive?"
i thought your post on this was very interesting. ive identified as lesbian most of my life, but have been recently wondering if the identity of trans man fits me better. your post is making me wonder if i only feel this way because my true self is labelled "[gender] non conforming." im a pretty rebellious person most of the time so i am hesitant to think id be submitting to the gender binary if i transitioned like you suggest.
the thing is, i know there are gnc trans men (even though i wouldnt be one), so it does seem to me that even within transgender identities, gender expression still exists separate from sex. id just be trans because i wish i was born with a penis, not because im gnc as a woman.
but idk im really conflicted over it, and would like to hear more of your opinion since your aforementioned post caught me so off guard and further added to my self-questioning
Hi, thank you for your message and your honesty! Sorry my reply is so long but this is just such a big and complex issue and also english isn’t my first language, so I often struggle with finding the right words.
I think due to the way societies across the globe treat women, it is already very hard to be born female and not struggle with your body at some point or another and it is even harder when you are a lesbian as that is kind of seen as „doing womanhood wrong“ because a lot of the stuff that is conventionally labeled as „feminine“ or „womanly“ is centered around gaining male approval and as a lesbian this tends to either not be important at all or less so than it is for heterosexual women (i think the male gaze or whatever you wanna call it is so deeply ingrained in women from their childhood on that it can even affect lesbians in the sense that we’re trying to indirectly appeal to men even though were not even attracted to them but thats a different topic).
The wish to transition very often affects gay people in my experience (before the rise in media attention to transgenderism it was in my experience mostly gay men that transitioned and even now with females i think the percentage of gay girls/women that want to transition is waaayy higher than that of heteros) and I think the reason behind that has a lot to do with societal aversion to lesbians (and gay men too). I have heard from both trans women and detrans women that they believe their transgender journey is linked to trauma that they experienced (partially due to their homosexuality).
You wrote that you don’t think that you would submit to the gender binary by transitioning but in my opinion you would still strenghten the concept of gender itself. What is it that makes you want to transition in the first place? You said you identified as a lesbian most of your life, what changed? What made you start questioning this identity and what made you think that there was something about your body that needed to be changed?
If i understood correctly, you said that you want to transition because you wish to have a penis. There are many reasons why someone who is female would wish for that from shits-and-giggles-reasons, to practicality (like peeing standing up lol), health struggles with their female genitalia, internalized disgust about them, generalized resentment of their female body parts etc. As I dont know your personal situation I cant really have an opinion about this, however I do not believe into the narrative anymore that trans people have been „born in the wrong body“. For a long time I believed this because I too struggled a lot with my female physique, breasts, etc and could empathize with this notion. But then I realized that this would imply that our souls/brains have a sex and this is soooo sexist. This sentiment was used for thousands of years to oppress women and I hate it lol. „L’esprit n’a pas de sexe“ has already been said by Poulain de la Barre in 1673 and it holds true. No one is born in the wrong body, especially if your body is completely healthy and functional. Just like no one is born with the wrong nose or skin colour, no one is born with the wrong sex. It is the circumstances (beauty standards, racism, sexism, etc.) which people grow up and live in that make it feel as if that were the case. THESE CIRCUMSTANCES NEED TO CHANGE, NOT YOU.
I know having a female body can be so fucking hard and it can cause so much suffering and resentment but there is NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU. You say you are rebellious and I bet that‘s true but the most rebellious thing to do as a female is to radically accept your body and fuck all expectations that society places upon you because of your sex, all stereotypes, ideals, etc.
Now you say you wish you had a penis but as said above, I think there is a reason for that wish forming in your head. I dont think anyone is born hating their sex characteristics and wishing for the opposite ones. Maybe you can work on finding out that reason (maybe you already do) and resolve it. I know that body dysmorphia and dysphoria can become so horribly bad that there are cases where a transition feels like and maybe truly is the only way out (I still dont think someone is born that way, but in some cases the damage to the way you perceive your natural body is already done and so bad that no amount of therapy and inner work can repair it, at least not in a "timely" manner), but from reading your message it doesn’t seem like this is necessarily the case for you.
It is great that you keep questioning yourself on this matter and seem to really think this through btw! I’m sure you are aware of this, but a transition (obviously) has tremendous effects on your body and mind and even some changes from HRT are hardly reversible (the permanent voice changes in ftmtf detransitioners for example and way more serious complications that can and do often happen) and especially the penis that you desire is hardly achievable. Even the absolute best results of srs for ftms are neither functional in the way a natural penis is, nor do they look like one. Depending on how bad and persistent the dysphoria was before, the result may or may not be satisfying. If complications arise, and they often do, they can be catastrophical.
One advice I would like to give might sound a bit harsh but I mean it lovingly and it is that you shouldnt even care so much about yourself or rather your identity. I genuinely never think about what my identity is or what label fits it and it is very freeing. I dont shave anything, I have very short hair, I dont ever wear makeup despite my features absolutely not fitting the current beauty standards, I wear exclusively comfortably clothes that mostly arent considered very feminine, etc. etc. but this has ZERO effect on my womanhood because me being a woman just puts a word to the fact that I’m an adult human female. I havent always felt that way and it still is hard sometimes to exist so contrary to the female societal standards but what really helps me is to see other women who do the same, sharing thoughts like your wishing to have male genitalia with women who felt the same and overcame it and are happy now with their bodies. So generally speaking: Stop revolving so much around yourself. You are capable of sooo much, you are literally a witness of life, you are consciousness, you are on this earth to observe and feel and create and do and experience and not to constantly wonder about your identity. Just BE. (I’m not quite there myself yet lol it takes time).
Ok I really rambled here and I hope this is at least somewhat coherent. No matter how you decide I really wish you the best and hope whatever you choose is the right path for you! Have a nice day <3

Friendly reminder to suggest any foreign stories you may find interesting into Seven Seas Entertainment's survey (on top of the PC page and near the footer of the mobile page) or any publisher survey you may know about.
Including to Royalty Witches📖 above do I recommend:
(I recommend writing [book] by [author] or pasting the urls to make them easier to find. Those marked with 📖 are "regular" novels, those marked with 🗨️ are comics/graphic novels)
Phenomena by Ruben Eliassen. Started coming out in the same time as hp but doesn't have its flaws (casual racism for example). The heroine is an aroace lesbian elf with frost powers, this in the "boyfriend of the week" in many tv-shows. The story is about her and her twin brother being chosen to save their people from slavery, how much of a burden this is when put onto children, and their growth from 10 to 17. The author has promised to add a non-binary character to book 9 (as of book 8 he's self-publishing. His abusive ex has given him a lot of debt, so please support him! He and the story are amazing!)📖
Dragens Øye by Cha Sandmæl/@cha-c-san. Non-binary author and non-binary main character. Aside from what's mentioned in the link, they later get a buff girlfriend. There's also gay and bi characters. 🗨️
Ville Poter by Victor Nordal. Trans author and those foxes are gay. 🗨️
MiniMonsters and Dinokid by David Ramírez. A mlm comic artist who who posts lots of trans support things. MiniMonsters is about the shenanigans of a group of monster kids. Dinokid is about some kids gaining the abilities to transform into various creatures, one of them gains the ability to turn into whoever the kid wants, and choses to become a girl, she's instantly accepted.🗨️
Soluna by Camilla Dahlstrøm. One of the main characters is a gay ace trans man and his sister is arobi. 🗨️
Mørkalven by Helen Kaldheim/@helipeach. Has 2 trans characters, one of them a main character.🗨️
Edelmot by Victor Sotberg and Odin Helgheim (Ragnarok🗨️ by Helgheim is even better in my opinion but this is about stories with lgbtqia+ characters, Ragnarok has no focus on romance so who knows). The main character is bi and gets a boyfriend in the second volume, they even kiss 🗨️
IS - Otoko Demo Onna Demo Nai Sei (IS 男でも女でもない性) by Chiyo Rokuhana. About intersex people. The first volume is a anthology but the rest is about Hoshino Haru, who is trans masculine and eventually falls in love with a guy (and no "falling for him makes me feel like a girl"), and he meets many different intersex people who feel different about it. 🗨️
Forbi Stjernenes Port* by Benedicte Luane Kristensen and Sam Einar Engh Syftestad. Syftestad is non-binary and the heroines are implied to be crushing on each other, and some of the characters also appear to be poly. As the website isn't translated, the story is about Paprika who finds an alien who crashed onto her planet and brings her home. The alien Kabaiel is there to find the starry gates to find an energy source to save her planet. It's an adorable sci-fi! 🗨️
Goshiki no Fune (五色の船) by Yasumi Tsuhara. Alternative universe set during WW2. About a group of 5 "freaks" who put on freakshows to earn for a living. One of them is a trans woman who had to have both of her legs amputated due to gangrene. Their love for each other and their conflicting pride for the attention yet shame they try hiding even from themselves. 📖
Saiki Kusuo no ψ nan (斉木楠雄のΨ難) by Shūichi Asō. the anime is translated, not the manga. The protagonist claims he was going to be born a girl but that felt wrong and swapped into a boy with his tremendous psychic powers. He's also strongly implied to be aroace, despite what parts of the fandom might tell you. 🗨️
Sket Dance by Kenta Shinohara. (for some reason they didn't renew it for the new website. Like with Saiki above, the anime is translated but not the manga and the anime isn't finished) A trans boy appears near the end and they accept him with open arms. If anything is he one of the more "normal" kids overall. 🗨️
* same editor contact person as most of the others, like Dragens Øye, but for some reason not on that website.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Already out:
Hunter × Hunter (a main character's little sister is trans and he loves her just as she is)
Dr. Stone (a character has unspecified gender and their boss is proudly bi/pan)
Gintama (needs a new and more accurate/respectful translation**, many gay characters and some trans, maybe a little crude by American people, but beloved by the lgbtqia+ community in Japan)
Boys Run the Riot (made by a trans man. About a trans boy's journey to self-acceptance and he befriends an X-gender who realises they're bi after thinking they're only attracted men)
Our Dreams at Dusk: Shimanami Tasogare (author is X-gender and is about a group of lgbtqia+ people hanging out together)
Claudine (was as respectful and caring as a story from the 70s a few years after Japan's trans ban could be. It's a tragedy, so be warned)
Is Love the Answer (about an aroace young woman who who realizes that they might be x-gender)
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (charming RPG and one of Mario's partners is a trans girl, they accept that part of her straight away)
Zombie Land Saga (funny dark comedy, but one of the girls being trans is treated seriously and respectfully)
Otomen (at first it shows the dumb "man runs away to become a woman" cliché so I didn't give it a chance at first but later did, but when she actually appears she gets the love and care she deserves while not treating her leaving them as okay)
Already out (By friends of some of the authors in the previous list of ones that aren't out):
Snøkattprinsen
Oppfinneren
Nordlys
Ravneringene
** the translator swapped jokes with his own and made this very Japanese series very American.
Seriously. I'm starting to block y'all on sight it has been quite long enough of a campaign to get you weaned off this terf's books and shows (and now games!)

Rust Compiler Performance Triage
This week had some small regressions that did not warrant further investigation, several of which were dismissed as being noise/blips in the data. There were also a number of gains. (Don't get exicited about that 20.6% improvement, its an measurement artifact from a temporary blip in the PR that immediately preceded this week's triage.)
Triage done by @pnkfelix. Revision range: 76101eec..f9c2421a
3 Regressions, 5 Improvements, 5 Mixed; 3 of them in rollups 55 artifact comparisons made in total

Language Reference
No Language Reference RFCs entered Final Comment Period this week.
Unsafe Code Guidelines
No Unsafe Code Guideline RFCs entered Final Comment Period this week.
New and Updated RFCs

Call for Testing
An important step for RFC implementation is for people to experiment with the implementation and give feedback, especially before stabilization. The following RFCs would benefit from user testing before moving forward:
No RFCs issued a call for testing this week.
If you are a feature implementer and would like your RFC to appear on the above list, add the new call-for-testing label to your RFC along with a comment providing testing instructions and/or guidance on which aspect(s) of the feature need testing.

"but the least you could do is show us respect.". How much respect does Louis owe you when larries harrased his dying mother for loving her first grandchild? How much respect do you deserve when the twins and Fizzy asked you not to bring their dead mother into you conspiracy theory? They said Jay had to delete Freddie's pictures because she was not there to delete those nasty comments under her posts to defend her grandchild? Ignore this ask, don't answer it and both me and Louis will know exactly how much respect do larries like you deserve. Marketing does demand that Louis "loves all his fans" and caters to all his fans but would you? If you were Louis? After everything those fans did to his mother and sister? To his family? He isn't as good as Harry at controlling his feelings and playing along for his job. Isnt as professional. As detached. Louis does have a mouth on him and a temper. No marketing can force him to love people who hurt his loved ones. Dead loves ones.
I seriously don't know where to begin with analyzing the bad arguments in this one...
Shall I start with the strawman argument? "but the least you could do is show us respect" is not referring to anything I remember to have said on this blog recently - you're hastily generalizing from one perceived Larrie to all perceived Larries and just copy pasting this into any mailboxes that are not tired of your whining and still open. Not worthy of my time answering.
But perhaps you foresaw this, so you put in the manipulative "Ignore this ask, don't answer it and both me and Louis will know exactly how much respect do Larries like you deserve." This, ladies gents and non binary folks reading this blog, is an interesting combination of the manipulative argument from fear (trying to scare me into publishing with the argument that Louis otherwise will have no respect for me, but that doesn't make anything of what the anon says more valid) - and an argument from silence ("if you say nothing, it will mean I am right" - but again, silence means silence, it doesn't say anything about who is right or wrong).
A lot of generalizations and appeals to emotion here in the parts of the argument that could potentially have some merit. Again appeals to emotion are not good arguments. But, stripping those away, your argument seems to go something like :
"Anyone who believes that Louis and Harry are/were in a relationship deserves no respect because some people who believed that Louis and Harry were in a relationship were disrespectful towards Louis' family members (at a particular difficult time in their lives)." While there is some merit in the underlying assumption that respect is something that needs to be earned and implies some reciprocity, that's still a fallacy of composition or a hasty generalization, you assume that anything that's true of some people who believed that Louis and Harry were in a relationship, is true of all people that believe that Louise and Harry are/were in a relationship.
What's really interesting though, and the reason why, despite my great distaste for manipulations like yours ("if you don't answer this will mean I'm right" is one of those that usually gets an automatic delete from me) , I decided to answer this ask, is this:
In one part of your argument, you say that Jay felt she had to delete pictures of Freddie because she could not defend her grandson after her death. And you spend quite a bit of words on emphasizing that this hurts Louis' dead loved ones.
And in another part of your argument, you say the following things about Louis himself: "He isn't good at controlling his feelings and playing along for his job. He isn't as professional. He has a mouth on him. He has a temper."
So (some) Larries are bad, because they hurt Louis' loved ones by suggesting Freddie might not really be his son, but a means to hide that he is gay. This would have massively hurt his dead mother.
But you can call him unprofessional and say he has a mouth on him and is ill-tempered, and this wouldn't hurt Louis? Or his dead mother?
Double standards much?

This one was request quite a few time on Instagram- therefore, many version of the same drawings. I would love to make a version for each one, but let’s be honest, time is working against me!
And it’s not like I will never draw that character again.
Sooo here come our favorite demon, Crowley, with the non-binary, genderfluid and mlm flag.

I’ve started a drawing before the six fanarts challenge, and therefore, I’m finishing it now. Like, let’s call it a sort-of-a-break, while being aware it’s not really a break, since it’s definitely more complicated than a serie of portrait...
So basically, I was feeling hyped because of the second season, and I drew the Ineffable Husbands from Good Omens. It’s been so long since I last drew them!
Tumblr media
Yes, I wanted to draw the wings- but more importantly, Crowley’s hair. So yes, it’s the part of the drawing I spent most of the time on.
I still like the ensemble! It was supposed to be a background for my computer.

It's been a while since I last drew a simple portrait, and I did not realise how much I loved and missed it! Alan Rickman is a delight to draw.

I think I might try to make prints for that one, in a close future.

I seem to be on my way to do all Major Arcanes, and, for some reason, also the Suit of Swords. Ah, well.
Today, I drew the Seven of Swords ; and who's better to incarnate a card about betrayal, deception, lies et keeping secrets than our one and onely Lord Of the Lies, Janus Sanders ?
Tumblr media
Believe it or not, the swords were actually not easy to draw. I am no sword-person. So why draw the Suit of Swords ? Eh.
Upright, this card indicates theft, trickery, among other things : you may be trying to get away with something, or are being sneaky. You use cunning and deception to get the advantage in situations. On another note, it suggests that you may need to put yourself first to get that stuff you want, and grossly, don't hesitate to, ya know, attack the Piñata. Sometimes, you need to put your own needs first, even if other may not agree with you.
Reversed, the cards implies you feel like a fraud, that you are deceiving yourself, attempt to fool yourself that everything is okay when it's not. Il represents keeping secrets hidden from others, which may bring you stress, tension, along with guilt and shame.
I think you can see why I picked my favorite snake to represente the card !

Anonymous:
note: i ramble a lot here again. so for everyone's sake ive decided to turn things in parentheses blue 😔👊
anyways i realize itd be kind of awkward to say more stuff. so ive decided to separate this into two different asks due to the change in topic because Man Do I Have Thoughts. Like. All The Time Every Day. this is more of a stream of consciousness thing than an actual theory
but like. you know how "the king IS siffrin" or whatever is a thing. like. a theory that i think most people have?? after finishing the game??? (source: i successfully convinced a friend of mine to get the game and during our post-game conversation she did tell me that the king being siffrin somehow was an idea she briefly had)
and i think weve talked about it before and that. like. how unlikely it is that the king IS siffrin due to the fact that its. uh. too obvious?? well i thought of two (2) more reasons that its (probably) not true:
1. since you own the artbook youd know that siffrin's pronouns are he/they and the king's are he/him. unless future!siffrin decided "hm... today i will go by he/him :)" theyre probably not the same person
2. i faintly remember going through adrienne's twitter and seeing that last year's april fools joke was something about "the king is the only queer character in the cast and that the rest are cishet. ha ha just kidding!!" and since that implies that the king is cishet (...does it??? i am very bad at reading comprehension sometimes) i feel like thatd be a very weird joke to make in reference to a character who has been explicitly confirmed to canonically be both non-binary and ace
HOWEVER. i do think itd go verily hard if siffrin was like. "the prince" or something. i KNOW this is like the third time ive suggested the idea of siffrin's title/character class changing into something else and im SO sorry but please bear with me here. basically. i am thinking about flowey undertale's line of "i am the prince of this world's future". that's literally it. also please ignore the fact that "prince" is also the name of a homestuck class thing i literally havent looked at homestuck since 2019 so i dont remember what each classpect is all about BUT @any homestucks who may be reading this if reading this makes you end up classpecting siffrin as a prince of time then i WILL cry/j /lh
(if i remember my homestuck classes correctly though then a prince is someone who destroys their aspect or destroys using the power of their aspect. so a prince of time would be someone who either destroys time itself and so leaves everything in a timeless state (such as. oh i dunno. freezing the very flow of time itself) OR someone who destroys using the power of time (e.g. freezing living beings in time and thus effectively "killing" them). hm. [imagine me glaring very hard at the king right now])
anyways im not gonna suggest the idea of a character who goes by "the prince" in sasasa and then leave without any further explanation. so like heres my own two cents on it while working under the assumption that siffrin IS said prince. basically. i have very mixed feelings about the idea of siffrin being the king's kid or something (plus! look at the man! he clearly doesn't have a wife! and as divorce anon let me tell you, he's divorced at best!/j) and besides. judging from the shape of siffrin's crafts and what the artbook itself says on it he's PROBABLY not from vaugarde (although i guess to be fair the artbook never explicitly states that siffrin ISN'T from vaugarde so i guess it could be like. deliberate trickery and tomfoolery. maybe being the prince just makes you Built Different™ and turns your crafts to look like that. i dunno. but personally even though i think the concept of siffrin as "distant traveler returning to the hometown they haven't seen in a long, long time" could definitely be done well i have unfortunately grown too attached to the idea of siffrin being from some faraway place. and besides. isn't four (4) vaugardians a Bit Much? im pretty sure much of the appeal for sasasa's main cast is something something found family + people from all walks of life and places all over the earth and whatever coming together and becoming the closest of companions. so i feel like making the researcher the sole foreigner kind of defeats the point.) so my idea on how being the prince works is that its like. a weird messed up magical "natural order of the universe" thing where "the king" and "the prince" are magical titles ushered and forced onto you by the universe/fate itself and being the king. well. being the king just gives you unimaginable power over time and also makes you Like That. meanwhile being the prince kinda uuuh. you know. may make your craft turn into stars regardless of what it should be but DEFINITELY makes something very, very bad and traumatizing involving time happen to you which may or may not be a time loop where you die repeatedly (the time loop could be caused by something else! who knows! the main point is just to make the prince have an awful relationship with the concept of time and/or the passage of it. see: the king's whole motive being to freeze the flow of time itself because he could not handle the change that inherently comes with the passage of time). in conjunction with my previous "exile siffrin" theory this COULD be why they got exiled. either way, when the current king dies, then the current prince gets dragged screaming and kicking by fate itself like "come here. you will become the sole ruler of a tyrannical monarchy whether or not you like it <3" into becoming the new king or something. this promotion may or may not be immediately apparent to the new king. i dunno. i made most of this up on the fly. i DO think itd be very messed up in a fun way though if it is written in fate itself that the current prince will be the one to kill the current king. and hey. what do you know. siffrin is the one who ultimately deals the final killing blow to the king in the true ending.
(ps. this has literally nothing to do with the rest of the theory (if you could call it that) but what are your thoughts on the idea of like. the rest of the bosses in sasasa2 being named after chess pieces. with the combination of the king being named the way he is, the game being in black&white, siffrin's colors being mostly an inversion of the king's (siffrin has (a patch of) black hair but is dressed in white, meanwhile the king has white hair but is dressed in black), fate being a reoccurring theme in sasasa so far and it being a Bad Thing, and something something about a pawn (who is destined to move only in a straight line until the end of the board, much like how siffrin cannot stray from his journey until the very end) getting promoted when it reaches the end of the chessboard, i personally think itd be VERY cool/g)
Wait, holy heck, I didn’t know asks could come in blue
I'm gonna post this now and type a response later because it's been in my inbox for far too long, but heck yeah more theories with Divorce Anon time
