On stage, in comments under every picture or video, in their own edits, it didn’t matter, never did. There was bound to be at least one person saying a cheesy pickup line, something they all knew worked on Bae like a charm. The man loved cheesy and bad puns, which was the exact reason why he’d been dragged to Chan’s lives several times, just for the elder to read some comments out loud and cause Bae’s skin to flare up on camera. “Oh wow, Hyung’s favouritism is showing again.” “Seungmin, what are you– Oh my god, you’re right. Dal hyuung!” - Jeongin’s voice whined after he rounded the corner, eyes watching the scene in mock disbelief.

Bae merely looked back at them with a raised eyebrow, as if to ask them both if they wanted to take Felix’s place. The two immediately shook their heads, dropping the act before they activated their hyung’s overbearingly affectionate side and doomed themselves to be coddled to death.

The others trickled into the same room as well, their eyes instantly latching onto Bae and teasing him, asking where their own piggyback rides were. Changbin was the most vocal about it, only calming down once he was promised to be the next to get one. The otter’s ears were already red, even though he hadn’t even met a single STAY yet. He had to do something about it and quickly, lest they were called to go out like this. But no matter what he wanted, Felix had a plan of his own, not releasing Bae even when the man stopped holding him up.

What had he done to deserve this…?

“Hyung’s gonna have to go out like this and I’m already loving it.” - it was Jisung, eyes twinkling in evil delight. “Oh absolutely, me too. You record and I take photos?” - Hyunjin replied, the two sharing a brofist before laughing at the glare Bae sent them.

True to his words, Felix didn’t let the older go, causing Bae to start holding him again in fear of any accidents happening otherwise, injuring one of them.

They were soon called to go out and take their places at their respective booths a few minutes later. The mere thought made Bae hesitate, something that Minho took the opportunity of, stealing a butt smack from both him and the koala clinging to his back. Felix was merely surprised for a split second, while Bae yelped quietly, glaring at the running form of his cat-like hyung with no real heat behind his gaze.

Knowing he had to get it over with either way, he followed Minho, bumping into the man playfully before letting the younger get down from his back. There was cheering from their audience, no doubt enjoying their silly interactions that were hard to come by when it involved the Glacial Prince.

Bae took his seat, being the sixth in line, sitting right between Hyunjin and Minho. The fans were absolutely ecstatic, excited chatter barely contained for the sake of their idols. Everyone was holding something, either an accessory for the members to put on, or a plushie to cuddle and play with. The first fan was taken to the first member, the beloved maknae of the group. A minute or two later they were ushered over to Seungmin’s booth, the next fan taking their place.

It went like this for a while, nothing major happening. Thankfully the first few fans decided to have mercy on Bae, merely chatting with him about their latest comeback happily and not giving him anything too embarrassing to put on yet.

This soon changed, the next fan looking entirely too thrilled to take a seat in front of him at last. Bae recognised them, remembering how they usually held a sign with a pickup line about him or Jisung in their concerts, shouting their names and overpowering the speakers’ high volume. He mentioned this to them with a gentle smile while he signed the page their album was marked at, causing them to gasp and nearly shout in excitement and disbelief.

“Of course I remember, I have good memory.” - he chuckled out, pushing back the album into their awaiting hands with another smile. “Ohmygod I love you Bae oppa, I have the biggest crush on you!” - the words stumbled out of their mouth, surprising not just Bae, but themselves as well.

The idol blinked back at them, pale cheeks rapidly tinting red with each passing second. No words that formed in his mind could successfully leave his mouth, giving ample time for the STAY in front of him to recover. They quickly placed some clip-on cat ears onto the table, seemingly high quality and fluffy. Pleading eyes stared into Bae’s own, their request clear and unmistakable.

With a quiet, well-hidden sigh and closed eyes, Bae gathered his inner strength, knowing fully well his members would not let him live this down for a while. It was only a matter of time before one of these somehow got onto his head, he knew that well.

So, his hands gently took the accessories, swiftly attaching them onto his long hair that was dyed a deep violet. The reaction was immediate, a poorly concealed squeal leaving the fan’s lips as they complimented him over and over, the gushing merely strengthening the rising colour on his cheeks.

For their last minute they simply talked, the fan grateful for having been able to meet him this close and expressing their gratitude. Bae gently smiled at that, thanking them for supporting the band so much through thick and thin. 

When the pair's time was up, the eager fan promised to attend the next concert as well, not wanting to let their crush down. His skin that was slightly faring better heated up once again, his attention stolen by the next fan and the album he had to sign. Bae tried his best to focus solely on the new fan in front of him, despite feeling the stares on the sides of his face from his members, no doubt lured by his flustered state that was pointed out by the shy girl sitting at his booth.

“YO, BAE HYUNG, THOSE LOOK GOOD ON YOU! WANT ME TO BUY YOU SOME?” - Jisung’s voice cut through the shushed chatter, pulling in everyone’s attention. “Don’t worry Sungie, I already got it covered.” - Minho replied calmly, that smug expression already sitting on his face as he watched Bae.

The male in question could only hide behind his hands, his walls of defence completely crushed and crumbled down, clearly hearing everyone’s chuckles and the fans cheering as he only hid deeper into the palms of his hands. He couldn’t look into anyone’s eyes, not even the poor fan who was right in front of him, obviously enjoying the show, if her giggles were anything to go by.

Flustered, Bae could only hope his fans would have mercy on him for the remainder of the event, knowing fully well that it was naive thinking.

Once upon a time,

6 shining gold stars are born into a navy blue sky.

As they took a stage, filled with little stars wielding their lightsticks, they began to dance as it sparkled all over the stadium in different colors of the rainbow.

The first star, the color green, danced gracefully like a swan danced flowly like water.

The second star, the color red, who sang that it could tug their little stars' heartstrings out, and sometimes it can comfort the little stars' fragile hearts.

The third star, the blue star, belted a high note and began to sang cheerfully like walking to the candyland filled with fun and sweetness.

The fourth star, the purple star, rapping bar after bar in every beat and rhythm that it sets the vibe and the mood so vividly.

The fifth star, the yellow star, sometimes sings and sometimes raps. His tender voice adds a subtle touch with every melody they can hear.

And the sixth star, the pink star, which is the youngest, has soft vocals that it can brought warmth like the coziest blanket they love to snuggle with.

Each star has their own unique ways, their vibes...

But those 6 stars have one thing in common: To show their love to support to their little stars.

This is inspired by one of my favorite Kpop groups named VIXX. They debuted in May 24, 2012 and they showed their different concepts. (On and On (Vampires), Hyde

and G.R.8.U (Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde), Eternity (Time Fantasy), Error (Cyborg), Chained Up (Love Slaves), Dynamite, Fantasy and The Closer (Greek Gods inspired (Zelos, Hades and Kratos))

The members are N (Cha Hakyeon), Leo (Jung Taekwoon), Ken (Lee Jaehwan), Ravi (Kim Wonshik), Hongbin (Lee Hongbin) and Hyuk (Han Sanghyuk)

The colors of the Shining Gold Stars are based on the colors from the solo performance VCR of VIXX Live Fantasia Daydream concert.

The "Little Stars" thing...I called "Little Stars" as fans because it is based on the name STARLIGHT, which by the way, it's the official fanclub name of VIXX.

And the "navy blue sky" and the "shining gold stars" thing, it is based on the official colors of VIXX: Navy Blue and Shining Gold.

I wrote this in one go/one take because I really both love and miss this Kpop group very much. Things are changing and they are going through their new future. I really miss all the 6 members who are shining together. I felt so much regrets for not being able to see them in person whether it's concerts, fanmeets/fansigns and their solo activities...

I wish I could see them in person once again so I will able to see them one last time.

Okay. So I'm leaving the Bridgestone Arena and on my way home now. Imma give a few of the highlights that I saw. I'm very tired, so I'm only going to talk about a little bit of what I saw. And I'll give more about it in the morning once I'm finally home and relaxed.

After some stressful driving, we arrived a little past seven o'clock, just in time to see Chris Jericho's promo with the painting. Said painting was beautiful but ended up getting destroyed. The seats we got weren't as great as I expected. They were on the main floor, which you'd think would be cool. Well, not if you're a short person like Moi. First off, there were these three tall ass men one row in front of us who would just not sit the fuck down at any point (then again, I'm only a little over 5 feet, so it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if I was taller). So my plan to get good pictures almost went entirely out the window right there. Ngl, I was actually tempted the tiniest bit to "accidentally" jab one of them on the head or back with my fansign, but I kept my cool. Side note; when on the main floor of a wrestling show, buy hightops beforehand. 😔

Special mention for Joker Sting Cameo tonight. That was amazing. 🃏

Then here's the meat of my post; the Texas Chainsaw Massacre death match. I really didn't know what the hell I was getting into, but the experience was... well, I have to be honest here, a little disappointing... or maybe a lot disappointing. I don't know if my expectations were set much too high or what, but I was just not vibing too hard with what was happening. It wasn't anything like I expected. At least I got to dance along to Jeff's entrance and got glimpses of the magical man himself. The pop he got was amazing. But I sadly didn't get any good pictures besides the one I'll show below. There was blood involved, but it was fake blood. So Crimson Mask Jeff Hardy is gonna have to wait a little bit longer to see reality. Then there was an appearance by Leatherface, because #sponsored. Oh, and shortly after getting distracted by said Leatherface, Jeff then lost to Jarret, which being a big fan of him, obviously pissed me off and made me salty. Like, the only two memorable things I can even remember from the entire match was Jeff wearing a leatherface mask and wearing white clothing during his entrance, that leatherface cameo, and that Jeff Hardy painted guitar, which should honestly be a custom weapon for the AEW Fight Forever game. Seriously, someone get on that if it's possible, cause that would be sick. If there's one bright side to all this, it's that my good friend managed to record nearly the entire match on my phone... for a reason I don't have. Guess I just wanted to keep this memory sealed? Oh, well. Overall, it definitely could've been better, but I'll give it a high 6/10. At least I got to see my dream man with my own two eyes. Somewhat. 🥲

During a break, we decided to go to the merch stand. And whaddya know, no Hardy Boy merchandise. Like, at all. No necklaces, armbands, not even t-shirts. Nothing. Not only is this offensive, this should be a legit crime that they didn't carry anything Hardy Boyz related. (Obviously I'm joking and I don't really think that, but that definitely was a legit letdown for me. So between that and the fact Jeff lost the death match, that's two disappointments in a row for me. Man. 😮‍💨)

Once Rampage was over, we decided to leave early due to the fact that they had a hotel room booked that they needed to get to over two hours away from Knoxville, and we were just overall exhausted. So we didn't stick around for ROH, but I did get the fortune of at least seeing Claudio spinning around his opponent forty times. Literally. So that was a small treat. (Let me know if you want the live video, cause I got it. 🤭)

I completely agree with your tags on that age/tweet post! I've been watching in disbelief and confusion how this topic came back around and a whole wave of black-and-white polemic opinions suddenly popped up on my dash.. I get that gatekeeping is bad and overgeneralizations as well, but also acting like really young groups will be just as comfortable holding a 20y/o fan's hand at a fansign as a 35+ y/o is just unrealistic... kpop has all sorts of weird dynamics and the labels literally make money off of "selling" their idols as imaginary girlfriends and boyfriends, so seeing older stans step into that dynamic can be strange and should be reflected, but of course of course doesn't have to be inherently "evil"... but also, like, I myself as an early 20s person sometimes feel weird stanning people born after 2000, even if I never saw them as "crush material" anyway, so the point that gets me worried is when fans don't think about/reflect that at all (but that counts for young stans as well, especially such that stan significantly older groups)

exactly!!! maybe the twitter op worded it a bit harshly (although if the person i reblogged the post from is correct then it sounds like it may have been a knee-jerk emotional response, and a totally understandable one at that) but as someone who grew up online in fandom spaces and experienced lots of weird shit from adults firsthand, i really feel like now that i'm the adult i owe it to younger fans to prioritize their safety over my own feelings and imo that means recognizing that it can be uncomfortable for teenage/early 20s fans to see people my age and older being obsessed with teenage/early 20s idols, regardless of whether anything truly creepy is going on or not. also you make a really good point about the bf/gf thing, like take the younger members of wayv for example. even if that's not how i view them (putting aside for a moment the fact that im a lesbian lol), the fact remains that a lot of the content they put out is *designed* for me to view them as like fantasy bfs, so i can easily see how it could lead to a weird dynamic (tbh i usually just ignore it cause im clearly not the target audience lol but still). but yeah the internet can make it really easy to forget that the person on the other side of the screen might be significantly older or younger than you (whether we're talking about an idol or a fellow fan) and while im obviously not saying we can all only interact with people +/-3 years of our own age or whatever i think it's something we do need to keep in mind

So, I've got a very long rant/opinion here and Idk really know how to say this without coming off kinda bad but I'm gonna say it anyways. I agree with the fact that the seventeen tag has been kinda dry lately on most fanfic places, but it's really only in the smut area. It's the sane way with other groups too I feel like. All of the nice little innocent tags are boomin to this day and thats completely fine. I think the smut tag is dry tho bc lately I feel like a few social issues (like sexualizing people and disrespecting them and their identity) have crossed over into kpop and have been ?blown out of proportion? Lately there's been a rampage of people who like to say that writing smut about someone is disgusting and is dehumanizing because people want to assume that it would make the idols uncomfortable which could equate to some morality issues on how you are reducing someone only to their body without their consent and a bunch of stuff like that. It kind of pisses me off bc this is fiction. About grown adults. Clamping down on horny people who simp over hot asian men isn't going to solve the issues we face in real life. I think a shit ton is wrong with the world we currently live in, and deciding to come after something that isn't even real bothers me. Like what does that actually accomplish. But yeah, I think thats a reason why smut has been dying down. I mean, on youtube almost every video about unpopular opinions, or things they dont like about kpop will include something about shipping idols in fanfics. And then everyone in the comment section will talk about how its all fine and dandy in moderation, but once people start writing smut it's crossing the idols personal boundaries. It's something I've been seeing a lot more often and I think people who are interested in writing smut are being turned away from it bc we've gotten to a point where people are being called disgusting for having fantasies.

I want to preface this by saying: when I write or talk about Mingyu and Wonwoo fucking on my blog, it is a fantasy. I am not speculating about what the real Mingyu and Wonwoo might be like in bed. I am imagining the versions of Mingyu and Wonwoo that I have created in my head, that exist only in my stories. None of it is real. I understand that this can be a blurry boundary for some people. But for me, the separation between fantasy and reality is well-defined. Now, on to your Ask!

You’ve hit the nail on the head with this one. You’ve also touched on many of the issues I have been struggling with myself as of late. It’s difficult to argue about morals since everyone has a different set of values, as well as different comfort levels. Some people think real person fiction (RPF) is a gross invasion of privacy. Others are fine with it. And others don’t care one way or another. There is no single answer; I can only offer my answer. Which means, of course, people are welcome to disagree with it, or parts of it. 

In this essay (LOL But forreal: this is an essay), I will be sharing my experience in the k-pop fanfic community from 2014 to present, the etiquette I personally abide by as a reader and writer of RPF, as well as my stance on RPF in general.

I started reading and posting fanfics back in 2014/2015 on a website called AsianFanfics (AFF). Obviously, no one on that site had a problem with RPF, since AFF is a platform made specifically for sharing stories about Asian celebrities. For many years, I read and enjoyed RPF with zero guilt. I scribbled away by myself in my own corner of fandom and curated my own content. I didn’t interact much with other fans, readers, or writers. I didn’t have a Twitter, and I only used tumblr to reblog memes. As a result, I’ve been able to avoid a lot of anti-shipping discourse, as well as purity and cancel culture. I had no idea there were so many negative opinions about RPF. It wasn’t until I became active on the subreddit r/Fanfiction last year that I learned about all the discourse surrounding RPF. 

This newfound ‘awareness’ does make me feel guilty at times—but only because after mulling this over, I still don’t think this is something to feel guilty about.

Here’s what I remember, first and foremost, when I create and consume RPF: fanfics and my favourite ships are fictional, and fiction is fantasy. This is basic etiquette when it comes to RPF, and most people in the k-pop fandom understand this. Delusional fans exist, of course, but they are not representative of the entire k-pop community. 

Another point of etiquette is to keep fanfics within fandom spaces. I would never push my fics into celebrities’ faces, or go around claiming that my fanfics are accurate representations of a k-idol’s life or personality, in any way, shape, or form. I would also discourage directing ship-related questions to official accounts, or bringing them up during fansigns or other face-to-face interactions; I believe that in these instances, shipping does have the potential to strain real-life relationships.

So with basic etiquette out of the way, let me share my approach to RPF in general.

As much as we like to think we know our favourite celebrities, we really don’t. All we see is their public persona. And this public persona is intentionally controlled, managed, and curated by a team of people: directors, tabloids, editors, makeup artists, publicists, etc. How “real” are these celebrities? We are so distanced from them that they may as well be fictional.

I draw from the public persona that idols project, and I work them into my own writing. But at the end of the day, these personalities are my own interpretation. My interpretation is probably nothing like an idol’s actual personality. I just use the “public persona/character” that idols portray as inspiration for my own stories, which are set in wildly different universes.

More than anything, I think of k-pop idols as “actors” in my fic. You know how when you write an original novel, you scroll through Google images, looking for the perfect person to portray your original character? RPF is literally that, except you might build upon pre-existing dynamics and personalities.

When it comes to explicit fanfiction, two main concerns are prevalent: one of consent, and one of sexualisation.

If we argue against explicit RPF due to lack of consent, we should be willing to apply the same lens to all explicit works. How do we know that the creator of a movie, book, series, etc., is okay with us using their characters in our stories, explicit or not? We don’t. Perhaps some creators encourage fanfiction, but don’t want their lovingly crafted characters engaging in sexual acts or experiencing trauma. We just don’t know. I feel this line is even more blurred when we talk about characters from movies or TV series.

Let’s take Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, as portrayed by Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan, from the Captain America movies as an example. I am willing to bet that when people consume and create explicit fanfiction about Steve and Bucky, they are imagining Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan in their heads. I doubt many people are imagining the 2D cartoon versions of Steve and Bucky, even though they’re technically the exact same characters. Why? Well, it could be because movies are more readily and easily consumed than comics, and so people are unfamiliar with comic book Steve and Bucky. But it might also be because fans find Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan attractive. Is this really any different from RPF, where fic authors make up everything about a celebrity’s life?  

When readers and writers of fanfic talk about how hot Steve Rogers or Bucky Barnes is, those comments are about Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan’s bodies. When reading explicit stories, fans are going to picture Chris and Sebastian’s bodies in their head, doing sexual things. Can we say, “Well, it’s not really you, Chris/Sebastian”, when in a way, it is?

The reality is, people are going to thirst over celebrities, regardless of whether or not explicit fanfiction exists. They’re going to post thirst tweets on Twitter. They’re going to talk to friends and strangers online about how hot [insert celebrity name here] is. They’re going to fantasize about dating and having sex with their favourite celebrity. Or, as it is in my case, they’re going to make up stories in their heads about their favourite idols dating and banging each other. People are going to do all of this without ‘getting consent’ from the celebrity. Cracking down upon and shaming writers of RPF isn’t going to change any of that.

To be honest, I’m not sure why people think it is disgusting to imagine sexual scenarios about real people. It is okay and normal to have these kinds of fantasies. I suppose the alternative is to fantasise about having sex with cartoon characters instead? It’s a very binary way of thinking to say that if you imagine/write real people in explicit scenarios, you are immediately sexualising, dehumanising, or objectifying them. There is more to dehumanisation than writing smut about our favourite celebrities. For one thing, you can love someone and appreciate all parts of them, and still want to fuck their brains out. And generally, fanfics come from a place of love—love that is not only sexual in nature.

Is it the sharing aspect inherent to fanfiction? The possibility that a celebrity might stumble upon explicit works about them? The chances are very low, I think, of the k-pop idols I enjoy writing about coming across my English fics. But I also believe in curating your own content, and that applies to celebrities too. Perhaps a celebrity should not go searching for fanfics about themselves. And of course, people should not show celebrities their fanfics, unless invited.

Another argument I hear against (explicit) RPF is, “How would you feel if someone wrote fanfiction about you?” First off, I don’t like this argument because there’s a difference between someone who decides to be a public figure versus someone who decides to remain a regular private citizen. Celebrities should and do know what they’re getting into when they choose their occupation. (This is not to say, “They are celebrities; sexualise them all you want because that’s what they signed up for.” Here, I am only acknowledging that people might have sexual fantasies about celebrities they are attracted to. Presumably, celebrities are cognizant of this.)  

If someone (whose existence I am not even aware of, mind you) decides they want to write explicit fanfiction of me in some tiny corner of the Internet, I wouldn’t care so long as: (1) they don’t shove it into my face, and (2) they don’t harass me and ask invasive questions about my personal life and relationships. It’s not hurting me or negatively affecting my life, so it wouldn’t even register as a blip on my radar. When fanfiction remains within its appropriate spaces, it is largely harmless. 

Now, if a k-pop idol were to ask their fans to stop writing fanfiction about them, would I? Yes, I would. However, I can’t imagine that happening. Judging by the number of ‘sexy’ concepts, fanservice moments, and variety shows such as ‘We Got Married’, I am certain that k-pop idols realise they are the stars of many fantasies—some of which are explicit in nature. Considering the prevalence of shipping in the k-pop industry, I would argue that shipping is subtly encouraged.

It’s sad that so many talented writers are shamed out of fandom, or feel that k-pop cannot be the medium through which they tell their stories, or explore their sexuality, or cope with trauma, or simply have fun. Professional works and Hollywood love their RPF—readers and writers of fanfics should be able to, as well. 

As you said Anon, “clamping down on horny people who simp over hot asian men isn't going to solve the issues we face in real life” (this is a lovely sentence, by the way). The kind of person who dehumanises another and reduces them to a sexual object will do so some other way, if not via fanfiction. I don’t think the issue of fetishisation can be fixed simply by telling people not to write explicit RPF. In my experience, people who read and write RPF are more respectful and thoughtful about these things than the general public. We’ve all seen the general public say highly sexual things about celebrities in the media and to their faces, or tag celebrities in their thirst tweets. Are these things less invasive than fanfiction? Personally, I don’t think so. And in my opinion, there are more pressing and damaging issues in stan culture than fanfic.

In conclusion, I don’t think there is anything wrong with creating and consuming RPF, both explicit and non-explicit so long as we:

Remember we are writing fiction

Keep RPF within its appropriate space, and

Do not harass celebrities about their personal lives and relationships

RPF is not for everyone. There may be people who enjoy RPF, but draw the line at explicit stories. This is fine. Everyone has their own personal preferences. What is not fine, however, is attacking people for creating things you don’t like. I’m not sure what kind of moral crusade people are on and what they hope to achieve by shaming writers of RPF, explicit or otherwise. Ultimately, fic authors are writing a fantasy. It’s not real; no one is being hurt. I think it’s important for people to curate their own content, and AO3 makes it very easy to filter out explicit works and unwanted tags. 

Maybe this is me trying to justify my own participation in explicit RPF—I don’t know. What I do know is that I love k-pop, and fandom is an important part of my media and entertainment experience. I adore the k-pop idols I write about, and I just want to imagine them being happy and getting lots of love and orgasms. Let a bitch be horny, goddamn…

The memories of the delightful interaction still fresh in your subconscious. You sigh and lay down on the plushy bed, on your back, your head resting against the soft pillows, as his somehow bold actions play in front of your eyes like a movie:

《 You were nervously checking out your bare nails when they finally came in, walking like they knew that they owned every single heart inside the room. All the sudden screaming startled you, making you shift your gaze from your hands to their pretty faces.

You had your camera on Hyunjin because he was acting cute with some bunny ears on when someone lightly pushed him and appeared right in front of your curious eyes.

With a smirk on his face, he made eye contact with the camera, making you feel shy and almost making your camera fall from your hands.

Chan laughed cutely at your reaction, pointing at you and making everyone turn their gaze towards you. You hud your face behind your tiny hands, a sweet smile placed on your plump lips.

Soon, it was your turn. With every member, you said everything you planned to. A little joke, ask for a sign and a compliment, but when it was Chan’s turn, your brain decided to malfunction.

“Hello Stay, what is your name?” His velvety like voice spoke calmly at you.

“My name is YN...” You respond, avoiding his eyes because you know they were on you.

As he wrote a small note for you, you analyzed carefully his face. You were right, he was even more beautiful up close.

Chan’s eyelashes were longer than yours, graciously helping his chestnut eyes stand out. Those lips of his were cherry-colored and filled, you're pretty sure they would feel fantastic on yours. His pale and veiny hands were carefully writing, and you watched him like you have never seen a man before. You giggled to yourself, his nose may be a bit big, but it compliments perfectly his precious eyes and delicious lips.

“Here,” He speaks suddenly, catching you off guard. You let a little surprised gasp, but, hide your face after, feeling embarrassed. But Chan’s laugh was so cute that you decided to let him watch your cheeks paint in red.

“You’re the cutest, YN.” Your idol says with a shy smile. He continued talking. “It was lovely to meet you. Bye!”

Chan held your cold hand and intertwined his slender fingers between yours. You smile at him lovingly, and when you felt his hand slip away, you also felt something else on your hand.

Panicking on the inside, you hide the small paper on your pocket and move to Seungmin, which was admiring you with a smile. 》

Thas how you ended up in this situation. The paper Chan left on your hand was his undercover Tumblr account. You debated for a while if you should follow him or not, and with shaky fingers, you click on the small space and watched the bottom change to ‘following’.

You block your phone and let a sign escape your parted lips. In your head, you were worried this was a setup. Some kind of... Lie.

Your body jerked up when the Tumblr message sound tickled.

Your curious eyes carefully analyzed the plain text sent by him. “Hi to the cutest girl... Why didn’t you follow me earlier?” With your heart beating faster than a dog when he sees his owner after a long while, you smile and reply to him.

The fact that Chan was exactly how you were expecting gave you chills. But he was here, he was texting you, he liked you. You should hold this good moment for the longest you can.

Who knows? Maybe he will find a new way to make you fall for him.

The Bang Chan Situation (190712)

Hello Stay ! My name is Riley, and I'm making this post to provide information to the Stray Kids fandom on the recent incident that has caused a lot of uproar on social media. I will be explaining the situation as neutrally as I can under the cut. I know @softjeonginnies has made a post on this situation as well, so please check that post out as well !

Situation Summary (as of 8:55PM EST 190711): At the Yeongdeungpo Fansign on 190706 (where SKZ dressed as doctors), there was a fan interaction between Chan and another stay in english. Earlier today, the stay posted the video interaction* with a caption of the conversation between the two. The post has since been deleted, and I have blurred out OP's handle to give them some privacy.

*There was no audio for the video.

At 7:46PM EST the same day, OP made an apology on Twitter.

[Summary End]

I have talked to some Stays and other Kpop fans who aren't fans of Stray Kids, as well as seen the many different responses on Twitter to the situation. These responses vary, and some loosely paraphrased examples are:

"one day chan will leave stray kids and we will know world peace."

"My heart is devastated over how chan has acted recently.... When I would talk about stray kids, I would talk about how loving and caring and aware [Chan] was and now I have to take it all back..."

"it gives me so much hatred to see that at every moment people are attacking Chan, he's a living angel, leave him in peace. Guys, let's create a # to support him. #WeLoveChan..."

"...Chan has depression. He wrote and produced [42]. People who have depression make fun of their depression to cope with the fact that they have depression, my best friend does this all the time ^^;"

... and so forth. I know that there are many stays who have been hurt by the joke, while many anti-stays have used this as an oppourtunity to hate on Chan, Stray Kids, and the Stay fandom as a whole.

I will be giving my own thoughts about the situation in a seperate post, but I just wanted to make sure Stays on Tumblr had the chance to hear about the entire situation before jumping to conclusions as well as giving us all the oppourtunity to come to our own opinions on this incident.

I'll amend one thing I said in my post about @ thisheartsmadefullmetal last night because it was brought to my attention (ty):

Reblogging a post from the account can either mean you're still following the account or you got it through the tags. The bigger the blog, I'm more likely to believe they just follow the account rather than surf the tags but a lot of people pick up her posts from the tags and don't notice that it's her because they don't have her blocked yet (those that already knew how she was, that is) and others just genuinely don't know about how she is. I found out that she was well known for being problematic in the jikook community among bigger blogs, ones who have sense, when her JK post blew up. Until then, I just thought she was a Jimin bias who was maybe a little too attached and I ignored her monologues and reblogged her cute posts and I was essentially part of the problem because I chose to overlook warning signs.

More casual bloggers, less time invested jikook blogs, and other Jimin biases are probably not on here enough to know what goes on in the jikook tag or they don't follow that blog closely enough to tell.

I tried to make it clear in my post, but maybe it didn't come through: I'm calling out the people who have chosen to keep following after she made the Jungkook post knowing full well what she is and other blogs who have supported or defended her. I took screenshots of the post she made and attached them in my own post I made last month when that happened (which anyone can go to my blog and see if they want to know what I'm talking about) but I unfortunately did not take pictures of the notes section. The number of people defending her was alarming.

I would urge you to look at the post at the top of my blog and read through what she wrote if you haven't already seen the post I made last night or even if you have. I'm not promoting a sheep mentality. Everyone needs to think for themselves. Unfortunately, she deletes every post that she gets criticized for and moves on like nothing happened so no one can say or do anything about it. Some of her followers genuinely don't know about the post and that's just sad that she's manipulating people. If you don't think she manipulates people, not once did she respond to the criticism under her post about Jungkook (perhaps she thinks she's above criticism?) and immediately after she deleted her post she made what I believe was a photo set of Jimin with pictures from one of the BWL fansigns where he has pink hair and has the veil on and waxed poetic over his appearance as "Jimliet." And people immediately started liking and reblogging again. That's her MO.

Back to the point of this point, maybe the account I mentioned in the other post isn't actually following her, if so I jumped the gun on that part, but what I said still stands. Anyone can see her @ when they reblog her posts so they're actively reblogging posts from someone who has been hateful and who clearly doesn't care about her toxic impact in this community and I and many others think that's wrong. A lot of people don't want to follow blogs that support toxic bloggers, and I'm one of them. So if you follow her I reserve the right to unfollow you and I can block you if I think I need to because then I won't see any posts of her's you share. But I don't want to block unproblematic jikook blogs and lose people I like, I would rather blacklist the url if I can do that. I've never done that before so I have to see.

However.

The person who told me I was being dramatic when I said I blocked a few specific jikook blogs "over this," you need to take a step back buddy.

I didn't block them over this. It was only a couple of blogs (blogs I wasn't following) that I searched for, went to directly, blocked but I noticed these past two weeks that they either still followed her or were at least still sharing her posts after knowing what she did and it was the final straw. I've never followed them and I've had my reasons. They've done and said problematic things. They've reblogged this girl's hateful posts about bangtan before. One of them defended her when she made the Jungkook post and I even personally interacted with them. I've another personal interaction with that same one before and I didn't like them then. And one I know still supports another blogger who has become toxic who I won't name here but other jikook blogs know her because she thought "jikook were on a break." And she's a lowkey jikook blog that doesn't make waves but she reblogged a post about Hoseok with a negative intention to pit him against Jimin and that just boils my fucking blood. And I see blogs I follow reblog both of these problematic people's posts every day because one of them especially is VERY popular in the jikook circle. And that's the one who defended thisheartsmadefullmetal and who I spoke to. A while back when I first came here I followed them for a minute and then quickly unfollowed because I could see they were problematic. Problem is, they're a subtle form of problematic that goes unnoticed if you're not looking. They're not in you're face with it. Now I've officially blocked because I want no personal interaction with them.

Before you call me dramatic please understand there's more going on than just what I took the time to write about last night when I was tired and felt like including because the post wasn't about those other blogs.

What the hell do you want Chan to say? It was the stylist who chose it, not him. Do you want him to throw a JYP worker under the bus? Think realistically.

First of all, there is literally no reason for you to be so rude here in my askbox. The posts I reblogged are all very well articulated and nowhere near rude so go read them thoroughly before doing this. 

Second, I have no right to want anything from him because I am not a black Stay; however, many black Stays have made it clear that all they want from him is an apology and to understand that what he did hurt many of them. 

Third, though there is no concrete evidence that this actually happened, there was a fan who asked him during a fansign about who decided the hairstyle and the fan said that he asked the hairstylist to do it for him. There is no evidence on this part but It is very clear that Stray Kids have a lot of freedom with their music and performances and, we have literally seen on camera Changbin do his own hair. You are the one throwing the stylist under the bus, not Chan. 

No one is asking him to throw anyone under a bus. He just needs to own up to the mistake and apologize. He doesn’t need to blame anyone or throw anyone under the bus because no matter who decided the hairstyle, it still happened and it still hurt a lot of people.

ATEEZ? Who are they?

ATEEZ is a group under KQ Entertainment, once knew as KQ Fellaz. They debuted on October 24th (2018) and have 8 members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho.

ABOUT THE BAND

Before debuting, they fed us well. Here are some of their performance videos:

Notes: ~ the song was produced by Hongjoong!  ~ at first, ATEEZ was supposed to have nine members, so in this video you can see Junyoung (third rapper), the trainee who didn’t debut with them.

They also had two reality shows on YouTube before debut!

The first one has 12 episodes, and it’s about their training at USA and the production of From. (Honestly, this was what made me fall in love for  them! 😍 All eps are subbed and their duration is about 3/4 minutes.)

The second one, called Code Name is ATEEZ, was a Mnet one where  they had to complete missions to be able to debut! (Original series on Youtube aren’t subbed, so here’s a link for a masterlist that will help you to find and watch subbed eps.)

Their debut album is called TREASURE EP.1: All to Zero! You can find it on iTunes and Spotify. Support them by streaming their songs and buying their album! (These boys deserve it, believe me.)

sangyeon is a sweetheart, he's kind and we can see that he cares about other people, but he loves it when people care about him too!

[05:58PM] You didn't imagine you'd find yourself in this position when the taekwondo boy, Sangyeon, invited you to come see him in a competition. Your back is pressed against the cold lockers in the boys locker room while you’re furiously making out with him. It feels risky and forbidden, but still everything on you screams a huge yes to this boy. True be told, in your craziests dreams if he wanted you right there right now, you'd be glad to give yourself to him.

His gentle eyes always smiled more than his own full lips, like little moons adorned by cute wrinkles. The type of endearing shit that could make you fall in love. Definitely.

But right now? Right now you don't even understand what happened because the sweet boy who shyly asks you to have lunch with him and blushes like a tomato when you sit incredibly close to him is suddenly kissing you like a beast on heat. The golden medal he won is around his neck while his naked and sweaty torso presses against you and heat pools on your lower belly.

The situation feels so weirdly erotic to you. His kimono is messly thrown at a bench and you're sure you can hear footsteps coming from outside. It’s thrilling and you don’t know what to do with so much new information. Since when was Sangyeon daring like this?

“Yeon,” you moan his name, trying to recompose yourself from his kisses when his lips travel down your neck, “what are you doing?”

"I want you so bad, y/n” he murmurs against your skin and his breath is so warm you feel like it is igniting a freaking fire up your spine. “And I’m so glad you came to see me that I need you right now or i’ll go crazy!”

His words made you wonder if all of this show of his came from the rush of adrenaline due to his competition. Maybe it was mixed with a bit of testosterone and the need to show you some kind of attitude. Even though it could be a kinda desperate move from him, it comforted your heart to know that he probably wants you just as much as you want him.

You smile and run your hand against the skin of his back, feeling his muscles contract from the touch. Soon your fingers intertwined on his soft locks and you brought his face up from the crook of your neck to look into his beautiful eyes. A drop of sweat ran down his temple due to his sweaty hair that by now stuck to his forehead. He seems determined, like you had never seen before. Well, not before you actually saw him on the tatami.

“It’s okay, I want you too, babe, but we shouldn’t be doing it here” you whisper, feeling Sangyeon shift at the word babe. A soft smile takes place on your lips and you peck his cheek quickly. “Come over to my place, we can do whatever we want and maybe order some take out after?” you ask, hoping it won't kill his mood or ruin anything that is going on between the two of you.

“Y-yeah, sure, I’d- I’d really like that” he stuttered a bit and there was again the soft shy boy you knew. Slowly his fingers, which were locked against the skin of your back inside your shirt, let go of you to get his things and finally leave the taekwondo gymnasium.
