I found this vintage #RecordCase in a #fleamarket in a thorn apart boxful of 7” singles. It was in a pretty bad state, but I bought it together with some other records. A few weeks ago I did a repair and cleaning job on this beauty. I cleaned and repaired all the thorn apart sleeves and greased the leather with the oil spray to give it a shiny finish. When I started crate digging I wasn’t such a fan of #45rpm. I don’t know why. Somehow I was always more an album guy than a single. But fast forward. Today I appreciate 45s a lot. I dug some of the #rarestmusic available only on singles. Follow @jiggyvinyl for more #Vinyl content. Occasionally Allison and I will go to estate sales. For the most part I am there for one thing, Hummel figurines. This time we were going in hopes of getting two vintage Lotte lamps listed simply as, “lamps.” We went early in case there were numbers or lists or other ways they queue up for these sales. In the photos there were tons of German beer steins, model and collector cars, Disney and Looney Tunes items, and other very well organized stuff. When I walked in I immediately asked if there were records. The sellers said that the family had kept everything. Just seconds later someone yelled, “NO. THERE ARE FOUR BOXES RIGHT BY THE DOOR!” I began flipping and trying to figure out what the homeowners relationship was to the records because it was an odd and interesting mix. I filled two of the matching boxes, that were in great shape, and gave the nice lady fifty bucks. I felt good about my pulls but was extremely curious about the ones I didn’t know…and rightfully so. Out of the almost sixty records only fifteen were crap. These are some of the more interesting ones. Mikie and The Ardons “Three’s A Crowd” on Gallant, Detroit’s Sharon Soul “How Can I Get To You” on Wild Deuce, two copies of Big Dee Irwin “Follow My Heart” on Rotate Records, a 7-inch test pressing of Susan Rafey “As I Care For You” which seems to have never come out and Baltimore Colt’s Bake Turner’s fuzz guitar drenched “Violation.” There are a ton more amazing records like The Caper Brothers “Ain’t Got The Nerve” on Roulette which will easily become a regular spin. #primitivesoundsystem #vinylrules #vinyljunkie #Vinyl45s #RareRecords #recordcollection #recordcollector #recordcase https://www.instagram.com/p/B1U9FPXpcWk/?igshid=141f5gb3wzebf

S3R55 - SOME RANDOMER - Feelings꞉ Fashionablylate
Tumblr media
Bruno Galarza is an image and sound technician, addicted to warez, and among many other things, Some Randomer. With this a.k.a. the rest of the description would continue as a ”spam speech”, the word Some and Randomer seem to belittle the identity. He feels more comfortable testing than creating, the experimentation not only defines his mixtapes and productions, but also it takes them to the final consequence... No stereotypes, commonplaces or adherence to the musical genres that are supposed to be inherent to artists of the electronic scene. In the middle of the hardware and physical media consumption in the booth, he uses digital tools because he learnt to mix with software in the 2000s, before democratization and technical advances such as Sync or HotCue. But in this selective process, he looks for the experience of a dj who prepares his recordcase in a traditional way, with the immediacy offered by the media and digital techniques. For this podcast, he chose a preliminary selection of 500-600 tracks, which were reduced for the selection. A hard work which becomes evident in the cleanest transitions and mixes we have listened to in a long time, most of the time we don't know where the concatenation of the tracks ends, a great value without any dj friendly tracks hacks. We must say this selection is very unusual and varied, not only for the most of listeners, but also for experienced users. Regarding the musical production, the sensitivity which is commented by sounds, is transferred to his works in a not much futuristic but unconventional way. Software and hardware coexist in perfect harmony. But it is not only where this performance fits in the tools he uses, but also in the facility to speak with ownership of the process, being one of the best guys we have met. In the space he shares with the components of T-37, the D.I.Y., free software, the desire to share and the collective creations are not personal or aesthetic options but a premeditated way of giving back to the "industry". These are some of the main reasons Some Randomer had to create a trilogy podcast to take us to these musical places, where it would be impossible for us to know and enjoy. In this first episode, he shows us a nice stage where you can enjoy sounds in the orbit of the 80s ambient synth, new wave, pc music, vapor wave, modern and abstract electronic sounds, without being an experienced user. Thank you very much for your work and knowledge. We will greatly enjoy this work. I put the first of what will most likely be a lot of band/music related stickers on my #Victrola #recordcase tonight. It's nice finally having someplace to put my #Exit111 sticker. Regardless of whether or not @exit111fest ever returns, the first one was a once in a lifetime experience that I will always cherish. Now, every time I go to get an awesome #VinylRecord to play, I'll see this and think of it again. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBesdqeJtgQ5z9jJJidMdM2M7OXLGOXWinBqjQ0/?igshid=1madzhg6bow85

A while ago I purchased a Metro Cart to make it easier to access the records in my 45 cases and small boxes. I used hanging tags to identify what was in each box but I still had to remember which box was where. …ok, right about here I have lost most people… The tags on each shelf represent the position where the box is. This has made finding and filing records so much easier. I love these hanging tags and use them anywhere I can’t see into a storage bin, box or shelf. #primitivesoundsystem #vinylrules #vinyljunkie #vinyl45s #RareRecords #recordcollection #recordcollector #MetroCart #45Box #RecordCases #RecordCase #AveryShippingTags @avery https://www.instagram.com/p/BsRKfQSgwAF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=p03w0rxob9cd
