I'm not saying anything about it sexually (that's a separate issue that I'm not comfortable getting into) but babyfur oftentimes is entirely nonsexual/is not inherently sexual by any means, and often is used as a form of coping by age regressors/dreamers or system littles. And I know this isn't necessarily a sound argument because word definitions shift over time and just because something was coined based on certain words doesn't mean that's its literal definition but like. C'mon. It's just baby + fur. It doesn't mean anything else unless that individual has a fetish or kink, which, in that case, it isn't inherently just connected to "babyfur". I have met so many littles who are furries and love furry stuff but scared to express themselves or find comfort in furry content because of fear of people viewing them as creeps or viewing it as sexual, when all they want is a safe space for them to feel comforted by baby furry content. (And yes, there is something to be said on how part of this problem originates on how we view sexual/"different" sexual things in the first place, but again, related but separate topic.)

Yes, there absolutely are people who enjoy it sexually or as a kink, and, again, I am not comfortable getting into that nor is this post about that. But so, so many people don't like it that way. They just find it cute and use it to cope. They deserve space to do so without people immediately thinking "sexual" when they hear the term "babyfur". I have seen people get harassed/"called out" just for using the term babyfur or liking that content when it's entirely nonsexual.

Many people claim to support mental illness, or even claim to support age regression or systems and their younger alters. So if you actually do, you're going to have to support the "weird" ones who are also furries or like baby/young/little content of furries. Some of them are pet/animal regressors/dreamers! Some littles in systems are actually an animal or furry species! Some people just like furries!

This flag refers to an age dreamer whose dreaming is a core part of their identity and overlaps into their "big life". This little doesn't have a separate little self or big self. Meaning interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes are shared. There is little to no separation between their little interests and big interests, causing the age dreaming to affect hobbies, likes, aesthetics, style etc. They don't view them self as big or little but a non-diffusible mix that can not be separated. This can mean toys, dips, onesies, pacis, bottles etc are core interest regardless of mental state.

Don't laugh at people or mock people who are "childish". People are allowed to like things that are considered "childish". Toys, kids cartoons, anything like that can be a valuable source of comfort for the people who like them. It's important to have things in life that make you happy, and without them it gets miserable. Wether that thing is stuffed animals or cooking or writing lyrics, what's important is that others don't ridicule and belittle them for it. There shouldn't be such judgement for the things that make people happy.

Regressor who's primarily low energy but still wants someone to look after them but the regressor x caregiver dynamics they see is always so... full of energy. Like they're always doing something together, and they fear they might be too boring for someone to want to look after them

They take a lot of naps, they like to snuggle up in bed, maybe put a show on, if its a really good day they'll do quiet activities like puzzles or coloring

Now meet caregiver who would love to watch over someone but doesn't feel they have the energy for it, like they can't keep up with a regressor who would want to go out always, want to do fun activities 24/7, they don't have that energy

But they have a lot of soft, gentle love in their heart, they know they could nurture someone, they would love to watch over someone and make the occasional sweet comment, or make them their favorite little snacks, or hold them oh so close so the both of them can truly rest

Some peaceful, quiet time for them both with at most a bit of background noise, nothing too big, nothing too loud

As an involuntary age regressor with diagnosed ADHD, I feel as if this isn't spoken about enough. People tend to talk about age regression itself and not what the difference is between voluntary and involuntary. I want to be able to be seen as someone who can not control when I age regress.

What is the difference between the two?

voluntary and involuntary is basically if you can have control or not.

Involuntary:

You have less control

It can be triggered (being stressed, overwhelmed, trauma)

Difficult to stop regressing once you fall into it

Feels as if it is a reaction rather than a choice

In need of comfort

You look for safety

Voluntary:

You can control when it happens

It's a choice

You use it for fun, relaxation, or even self-care

Ability to step out of regression when needed or wanted

Usually isn't triggered
