Shirayuki leaving her patient in the Perfume arc just like that (girlie was traumatized and recovering still) and going with Obi and Eisetsu to rescue Ryuu and Kageya was quite pointless imo (and bit ooc for Shirayuki? Is it just me??) Like I understand it was about Ryuu so ofc she came but I don't think she played that crucial part in the rescuing (she noticed the secret msg from Ryuu and knew about the herbs effects so she was a good addition but I just can't get over 'leaving your sick and very traumatized patient moments after the accident' move) 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wish we got to explore more of the characters pasts and backstories. AND BRING TOROU AND MIHAYA BACK! Torou could have been a great fuel for Obi and his character development....a missed opportunity man 😭 I think sensei makes the mistake of making interesting and appealing side characters just to forget about them later a lot (?), even when they are relevant to the plot or not. It's a shame, really. But I can't blame her I suppose.

Still, there’s something about seeing Anakin sit down at the vanity in their bedroom. Something about the look he casts at Obi-Wan—heavy and meaningful—over his shoulder.

He draws closer and Anakin holds out a brush. In the mirror, the omega’s expression looks halfway between nervous and irritated.

“I want it like this,” his husband says, tracing a horizontal line on his scalp. “Moving backward from above the ear, one on each side—Think you can do that?” His voice returns to its usual snarky sarcasm partway through speaking, like he’d suddenly remembered he needs to antagonize Obi-Wan at all times.

Obi-Wan takes the brush, parting his husband’s curls and seeing to it in sections. It’s just as soft as he’d expected.

His fingers graze the nape of Anakin's neck, and Anakin’s breath hitches. His scent curls thicker around them, a mix of something spicy and sweet.

But the sweet addition to his scent doesn’t go away, so Obi-Wan just rolls his eyes, hiding a smile.

He sections the hair out on one side and begins braiding, adding more strands as he goes. It’s more difficult than he expected, with how long it’s been since he braided anything—the last being Ahsoka’s hair, probably, before her own wedding.

He works slowly, but he manages, finishing the left side and doing the same on the right, and then pausing with a frown.

“Anakin?” he asks tentatively.

In the mirror, he can see his husband’s eyes shoot open. They'd been closed in such a gentle expression that, honestly, Obi-Wan had been half-afraid he’d fallen asleep.

“How do you want me to do the center?”

“Oh, um—” His husband’s voice is rough in a way that makes Obi-Wan shiver, and he almost misses the gesture Anakin makes towards the top of his head. “Just make sure this part tucks neatly in the back, and mix the two braids together. You can let the rest fall the way it is.”

He nods, obediently combining the sections of each braid together to create a thicker one. After tying it off, it nestles into the center of Anakin’s curls.

Obi-Wan lingers, loathe to let the moment end. He tries not to sound too hopeful when asks, “Anything else?”

Anakin turns sideways in his seat, portioning out another small section of hair. “Another one here,” he says quietly.

Obi-Wan sees to that part as well. It’s simple compared to the others, and he has to wonder why it’s separate.

As if hearing his thoughts, Anakin decides to elaborate. “They’re marriage braids.”

Obi-Wan’s heart stops. “They’re what?”

“Marriage braids,” his husband repeats. “The whole style can vary, but this part is always the same. A braid behind the right ear is done by your spouse, as a symbol of your marriage.”

Obi-Wan finishes the braid with trembling fingers, not meeting Anakin’s eyes.

Afterwards, his omega examines Obi-Wan's handiwork with a disappointed frown, and he does his best not to feel crushed. If he’d only known, he’d have been more careful, would have been neat and meticulous and—

I am reading Attack of the Clones novelization and while most of it follows the movie word for word there are some parts that have never made it into the movie, and the part that describes the mess that is Anakin Skywalker from the moment Obi-Wan jumps out the window

until Anakin finds a speeder

is one of the most hilarious things.

He's trying to go through things, he forgets what the layout of the building he is in looks like... Just look at this:

“See to her!” was all that Anakin explained as he scrambled past them, running full out for the turbolift.

Anakin was in no mood to wait for a turbolift. Out came his lightsaber, and with a single well-placed thrust the Padawan had the doors open, though the turbolift car was nowhere near his floor. Anakin didn’t even pause long enough to discern if it was above him or below, he just leapt into the shaft, catching hold of one of the supporting poles, and spinning downward. His mind whirled, trying to remember the layout of the building, and which levels held the various docking bays.

Suddenly a feeling through the Force alerted him to danger.

“Yikes!” he yelled as he looked down to see the turbolift racing up at him.

Grabbing on tighter to the pole, he held his open palm downward, then sent a tremendous Force push below to propel himself back up the shaft, keeping him ahead of the lift with sufficient speed for him to reorient himself and land, sprawled, atop the speeding car.

So basically he jumped down a turbolift shaft without looking and ended up a pancake on top of the turbolift.

Again, whipping out his lightsaber, he stabbed it through the catch on the lift’s top hatch. Ignoring the shrieks from the car’s occupants below, Anakin pulled open the hatch, grabbed the edge as he shut off his blade, then somersaulted into the car.

“Docking bay level?” he asked the pair of stunned Senators, a Sullustan and a human.

“Next is sixty-something,” but Anakin slammed the brake button, and when that didn’t work fast enough for him, he reached into the Force again and grabbed at the braking mechanisms, forcing them even more tightly into place.

All three went off the floor with the sudden stop, the Sullustan landing hard.

He used the Force to stop a turbolift which was already stopping because what are a few broken bones of Senators when Obi-Wan is in danger.

THEN. HE. FORGETS. HOW. TO. OPEN. A. TURBOLIFT. DOOR.

Anakin banged on the door, yelling for it to open. A hand on his shoulder slowed him, and he turned to see the human Senator step by, one finger held up in a gesture bidding the eager young Jedi to wait.

The Senator pushed a button, clearly marked on the panel, and the turbolift door slid open.

But what happens when you Force stop a turbolift? It doesn't align with the floor.

With a shrug and a sheepish smile, Anakin had to fall to his belly and squeeze through the opening to drop to the to the hallway below. He ran frantically, left and then right, finally spotting a balcony adjacent to the parking garage. Out he ran, then vaulted over a rail, dropping to a line of parked speeders. One yellow, snub-nosed speeder was open, so he jumped in, firing it up and zooming away, off the platform and then up, up, heading for the line of traffic flowing high above.

He tried to get his bearings as he rose. What side of the building was he now on? And which side had Obi-Wan flown away from? And what angle had the fleeing probe droid taken?

As he tried to sort it all out, Anakin realized that only one of two things could possibly put him on Obi-Wan’s trail, dumb luck or …

The Padawan fell into the Force yet again, searching for the sensation that he could identify as his Jedi Master.

Of course Anakin couldn't think but he can always sense his Master :)

Attack of the clones begins. Padme, my love. Anakin and Obi Wan’s banter. I love them so much. Something I know for later, I wish they’d kept in how involved Padme was in taking Anakin down in the next movie, I love her. I don’t like how weird and awkward the two of them are in this movie with her still seeing him as a child and him being like “I’m an adult and I’m so much better than all the other Jedi 😠” like bud you’re acting like a toddler rn. Knowing what I do about the future movies and hearing about the clones and order 66 later I’m like ooooohhh I know what happens here teehee. Although I didn’t know until now who all the clones were of, that makes things interesting. I love seeing all these powerful or dangerous character when they’re so young, boba Fett is so tiny here. Padme is so gorgeous always, never a bad look I love her so much. I know later there’s the line “this is how democracy ends, with applause” which slaps very hard. I haven’t talked about the music yet, the soundtracks and the way they play everybody’s themes and mix them with others all slap so fucking hard. It’s great they put a lot of thought into it. THE SHOT of Boba Fett holding the helmet, they recreate that in one of the shows, I used to see it everywhere I didn’t know it was here 🥺. Anakin and Dooku’s fight in the semi dark was so good I love the colors lmao I’m a simple bitch. Padme and Anakin get married at the end? I remember that but I also don’t. I keep thinking of the “you were my brother Anakin” line throughout this whole movie and it’s 🥺 making me very sad. Obi Wan really tried and Anakin just has so much angst. I think if the Jedi or the Republic had gotten rid of space slavery across the whole galaxy, Anakins mother would’ve gotten him to the Jedi before and none of this would’ve happened. that fight with dooku is so cool it’s one of my absolute faves. the choreography and anakin rushing in and just. boom signature skywalker hand slice!!! also another fave of mine is the scene in the arena when obi wan does his swoosh swoosh…… i love him. i follow the daily obi swoosh gif account on twitter and it’s the best thing ever i highly recommend

if i start thinking about ani and obi i will start sobbing im— they loved each other so much but obi wan would never say it and palpatine would find some way to manipulate anakin into not believing it anyways and it was just all so tragic and — god. that post that’s like the love was there but it didn’t make a difference. that’s them. that’s the prequel trilogy.

Well, I guess, because I'm not that into the whole SW lore, that the no emotion rule were taken from buddhism aka the you can feel emotions, but you just let them go through you and let them go immediatelly. What I like about the fics is how they can explore more things from the canon and thing that were ignored and some SW fics nailed shit. Things like, you know, characters having heart to heart conversation or monologues in their heads about how they don't get the behavior of the other xD God bless the fics ;D

I'm not a fan of the chosen one trope. He was interesting because he was chosen one, then he was the bad guy, just to end as the chosen one again. But still, first annoying kid, then annoying teen talking about sand and having super dumb lines and then a pissed off dude killing YOUNGLINGS! So, in a way he broke the trope but in the end he didn't xD But that was Vader. I can't really think about Anakin and Vader as an one xD Plus, well, I kind of felt the time was wasted on him, when we could just watch Obi-Wan staring at walls or something ;)

And dunno, i think I'm rarely fan of the main heroes of the stories, tehy are too predictable, I guess?

Thanks xD They were just complexed in many ways, much more than the romance bewteen Padme and Anakin - the only problem was that he was the Jedi and he couldn't have been in a romantic relationship (what is a big ass cliche and not played well in the movies). While Obi-Wan and Anakin, wow, so many conflicts, so many boiling points, so many *screw everything, I'm going to save him no matter what*, so many things they have learnt from each other, they way they started to appreciate themselves (Obi-Wan learning that Anakin was not only his duty after he promised given to Qui's, but really his brother, and Anakin that he was not a burden). But seriously, because of them being Jedi, so many things there was unspoken and not told directly what created problems, but still sooo goood and beautiful in a way. For me their relationship was the most important and significant one. Not romantic, but even deeper?

And what is funny, I'm not the biggest fan of Anakin, but when he is with Obi-Wan - pure gold.
