I desperately wish i hadn't know anything about aftg when i first read it because 1. i would have no idea it's actually a slow burn romance and could be just as shocked as neil after the 'doesn't mean i wouldn't blow you' scene and 2. so i wouldn't have been tricked by fan content into thinking that allison and renee were an actual couple only to be extremely disappointed to find out that they're fanon
