I’ve gotten into resin printing and mini painting recently so I had to print out the little Neil model I made last year in honor of my favorite holiday

Probably th biggest thing I've printed and painted so lots learned. Spray primer is my new best friend.

I've finally gotten around to try printing some of the Stl doll files I bought and found now that I have a 3D printer that doesn't suck. I'm still learning about supports and I've had several failures, which is very frustrating as resin isn't cheap and the process takes hours. I'm also bad at judging how big something is cause on my computer it looks big enough, but the actual build plate is actually quite small. Still it's nice to finally hold a finished doll

So far I've printed Dollightful's bunny doll, remixed version with extra joints by MoonlightJewel on Thingiverse.

I scaled it up about 50% for my second try and it's a lot more manageable lol. Gonna be working on one with a friend of mine for a fun craft day.

The second doll I printed was Kabbit human bjd by @aelithart that I purchased on Etsy. This one I had a few user error failures but they were easy fixed with a few more supports. This is one of the bigger dolls of my collection and it's a chunky hunk of resin lol. I plan on buying more files in the future for sure. Now for the hardest part, customizing. Decisions, decisions.

Happy Lunar New Year & Year of the Blue Dragon!

These are old pics, but I just love them so much and it's thematic for the occasion.

The pictured one is my beta prototype and is one meter long, but I still need to work on editing the joints so it's easier to assemble & disassemble so that I can make my final dragon for myself that will be 2x size with a length of two meters.

So many bjd projects and such limited time & mental capacity. 😔

Now that I have my 3d printer working and can semi consistently make it work, I have no idea what to actually use it for. I want to start a cool new painting project but I have no idea what to do. Thoughts, anyone?
