Let's not forget that the first time Porphyrion saw Jason, he asked if he was Hermes or Ares(the literal God of War, everybody). He has also been mistaken for a Greek God.
Yes, Percy has the looks of a god, but so does my boy Jason Grace.

Friendly reminder that Jason spent months looking for Leo and only stopped when Chiron forced him to enroll in school.

I just finished ToA last night and here are some things I don't see nearly enough people talking about, specifically about the end of ToA so if you haven't read it this is your spoiler warning!!!
• Apollo not feeling right in his godly form and uncomfortable around the other olympians (not including Artemis)
• LEO CALLING JO "MOM" 🥺 (and Emmie and Jo in general) BUT HE HAS TWO MOMS NOW I LITERALLY STARTED CRYING ABOUT THIS LAST NIGHT
• Apollo visiting Percy and Annabeth in New Rome!!!
• AND they talk about Jason!!!!!! Annabeth cried herself to sleep
• honestly Apollo's whole battle with Python that shit was so cool
• obligatory fuck Calypso
• REYNA CALLING LEO "HERMANO" 🥹
• Meg standing up to Nero in his throne room!!! I LOVE HER SO MUCH
• Rick's infallible ability to put EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. CHARACTER. in a relationship 💀 PEACHES HAS A LOVE INTEREST NOW???????? LET CHARACTERS BE SINGLEEEEE
• HAZEL'S CURSE IS GONE AND SHE CAN JUST LIKE USE HER JEWELS NOW!!! and Frank wants an engraved diamond necklace that says "H+F Forever" I love him so much...
• while we're on the topic of Frank!! WHY DOES NO ONE EVER TALK ABOUT HIS SACRIFICE AT THE END OF THE TYRANTS TOMB??? Like I knew that he would be fine but I still started like tearing up
• THE ARROW OF DODONA!!!
• how completely unaffected Zeus is by Jason's death??? Fuck you Zeus.
• Apollo's new kids at camp!!!

I think we should’ve gotten a scene where Jason really got to dissect that all the Roman’s stare at him like they’re expecting someone more. Hazel says it herself when she’s talking about how they all want to leave Nico behind, Jason is not the man she believed in and he’s not the man Nico knew either. And Jason knows that. He knows Reyna, Hazel, Nico, they all look at him like they’ve lost somebody but he does not know who that is. And he is desperately trying to find who he was and show them that he is still that person, but he’s not. He does not have the memories that made Jason Grace, Jason Grace. He doesn’t remember his friends, he doesn’t remember the legion, he doesn’t remember his accomplishments, so he is not who the Roman’s knew, and it eats him alive.
He will never be the Jason Grace from the stories.

ok quick rant post.
*HUGE TOA SPOILERS BELOW*
i just saw somebody say jason’s death was poorly written.
i mean this in the most respect way to those people saying that jason’s death was meaningless and careless…did we read the same book?
first of all, it was not anticlimactic. It would’ve been unexpected for me if i wasn’t spoiled. he quite literally went out with a bang. he made a gigantic tornado/storm to pretty much single-handedly fight an emperor. i mean, no one around him was equipped or ready to fight. he was doing so good, but he knew he had to die anyway. he might’ve tried harder if he hadn’t heard the prophecy about him or piper dying. my point is, he did not seem “nerfed” or “not powerful”, apollo was really impressed by his skills in his narration.
i saw somebody say they didn’t it like it because he had so much potential. that’s the whole point though!!! many tragic deaths are brought to life by an unkept promise or something they couldn’t carry out before they died. all of jason’s storylines were going to lead him somewhere great, but of course it couldn’t go like that. rick riordan pretty much put in that whole part with apollo and jason talking about his promise to the minor gods to dangle that in front of us. to emphasize how tragic his death was.
people say his death was only for apollo/lester’s character development? i don’t agree. i mean, yeah, that was a huge thing that came from it. throughout the rest of the books, he tributes his growth and actions to jason. but i don’t think that was the only reason for it. i saw a great post by @a-cup-of-coffee-and-the-moon about this. go check it out here, but basically they say that was it inevitable (they go to say it was because he went against zeus, and the greek leaders had a history of their sons overthrowing them). even other than that, it developed the storyline and the whole trials of apollo series in general.
ok so maybe that wasn’t quick. but still. i hope i proved my point. i am a huge jason defender and i just hate when people comment on his death like this. he’s dead, guys!!! that’s just like pooping on his grave! ok, but seriously, we need to end the jason death slander. i feel like some people see something they don’t like and come up with reasons as to why it shouldn’t have happened and why it was weird that it did. i mean, yeah, i didn't want him to die, but i’m willing to accept it and respect him.

So I finally got around to reading Trials of Apollo and still crying over Jason :(.
And now I need an au where he didn't die like everyone thinks and we have like a Winter Soldier situation where he's been captured/enslaved by Caligula and Medea.
Also I get why but I still wish Apollo's kids aka Will, Nico, Kayla and Austin had all been following their idiot Dad around.
Austin-(regarding Caligula) If this guy eats Dad he doesn't like...become our new Dad right?
Kayla/Will/Apollo: EWWW
