MSA X TMNT 2003: Ninja Tribunal Chapter 20: TMNT Team and Mystery Teams Celebration about Tengu Shredder, Lord Sombra and Crimson are finally defeated/Maisy saw the spirit of her unknown parents/Maisy Pepper/Minnie's unknown parents are proud of their daughter, Maisy/Maisy Pepper/Minnie was now part of the Pepper/Minnie Family

They both smile and then Yoshi puts a hand on Splinter’s shoulder. A tear rolls down Splinter’s cheek and he closes his eyes for a moment. Splinter then looks up just before Yoshi vanishes. The turtles hit the ground.

Mikey: Wow. That was beyond amazing! We totally kicked shell bro’s!

They all begin talking excitedly at once. Back at the smoldering remains of the Foot headquarters building, a government helicopter lands to pick up Bishop. He walks to the helicopter and two soldiers, carrying Stockman’s robotic remains, follow.

Bishop: Come along, Dr. Stockman. That brain of yours is still intact and I’m not finished with you yet.

Stockman: It seems the pain will never end.

The turtles, Splinter, Karai and Chaplin watch the helicopter fly away. Michelangelo gasps as overhead shadows fall on them and he looks up to see Chrysalis and Silver Sentry.

Silver Sentry: Well, looks like you did it. You turtles saved the world. And I thought that was our job.

Leo: We all did it… together.

Lewis: Better, good teams.

Sarah: We have successfully defeated Lord Sombra and Crimson

Silver Sentry salutes them and flies away. The THNT team arrive, with Chelsea.

Raph: Man, am I glad you guys made it.

Bart: You better be. You owe us.

Kon: You have all done well. [Startled, the acolytes all turn around to see the Ninja Tribunal walking towards them.] We are very proud of our acolytes. You have done great things.

Mikey: Hello! Where’d you guys come from?

Donnie: Didn’t we see you get destroyed?

Sarah: We’re thinking that they are killed by destroyed?

Juto: Have you so soon forgotten your first lesson?

Kon: Perception is not always truth. All you think you know…

Chikara: About this world, about yourselves, even about reality itself…

Leo: All this and more will be challenged.

Kon: Indeed.

He sweeps a hand at the ground and there’s a explosion of smoke. It clears to reveal the Ancient One.

Ancient One: My back is killing me. [He looks up to see the Tribunal standing over him.] Huh? [He grins.] Ah, honored ones. I felt you were near.

Raph: If you were so near, why didn’t you jump in when we were getting our shells kicked?

Marie: Hehe, better.

Kon: We knew that the karmic wheel of fate had to turn unhindered by our interference. We were forced to let events unfold as they should.

Chikara: Yoshi’s demise was a part of that.

Kon: As was his coming here to New York as a guardian of the Utroms. For without that, you, Splinter, would not exist.

Juto: Nor would your sons.

THNT with Mistress Chelsea are arriving with TMNT and Mystery Teams

Splinter: What will the Tribunal do now?

The four Tribunal members rise into the air.

Chikara: It is time for us to move on.

Kon: We would be honored, young one, if you would join us on the tribunal.

Ancient One: The honor would be all mine. [He turns.] Splinter, you are family. [He wipes away a tear.] I will miss you.

Splinter walks over, drops to one knee and bows.

Splinter: And I you, old friend.

Chelsea: Right. My friend.

Ancient One: And I trust you four will stay out of trouble?

Mikey: Hey, it’s us. We hate trouble.

Ancient One: Of course, you do. Heh!

He rises into the air to join the waiting tribunal and then all five vanish into the sky.

Chaplin: What now, Mistress?

Karai takes his hand.

Karai: It is a new day, Dr. Chaplin. [They stroll off hand-in-hand.] Let us see what it brings.

Everyone else starts walking back towards the city.

Maisy's Dad: I wanted to take care of Maisy, please.

Maisy's Mom: Right, I agree.

Maisy's Dead Parents are dead in the afterlife.

Cera: I have got adopted sister, Maisy

Maisy: Good, I got adopted by my parents and siblings of Pepper/Minnie Family

Maisy's Older Siblings, her 2nd/Second Older Brother had removed Demon to return back to Normal Human. He has not used Bamboo Muzzle

Gary: Yea

I am sorry to ask u about this, because like, idk, it seems kind of an out of a blue thing to ask, but I see u talking about TMNT 2003 and/or TMNT Season 5 a lot (mainly bc of Book 2 of The Tortoise and the Hare fic u are writing, I am guessing, which I am super excited about btw. I love LeoSagi and Leo and Usagi so much), so I thought you might know (and my own thoughts on 2003 aren't super fresh, esp. in comparison to 2012 and Rise and/or even 2007 to some extent. So I am just not super sure myself on this).

So like, I was looking at this post:

(and the reblogs and/or replies to it), and I also wonder why Leo didn't get one either (I also see people in the replies and/or rb's mentioning the tribunal people acting really hostile to Leo after this, and someone mentioned it might have been because it and/or Leo reminded them of Saki/Human Shredder pre-possession. Which might have been why? Hmmm??? I am almost always all for Leo and Shredder parallels though; like 2012 for example has a lot of that, so if this is true, I guess it would be cool. Even if I do think some of those tribunal people were being, super mean); it is a bit weird.

Some people mention it and/or theorize is because he didn't need one and/or he was already worthy (which are both interesting theories), and/or because he got the White Fang Sword later (which might be the case instead).

Anyways, that post has a lot of interesting theories and good Leo and sword symbolism and/or symbolism in general that I always love, but I do still wonder why that dragon furnace decided to go like, "no fam, to Leo", like, poor Leo must have felt so bad about it; the poor dude.

I also wanted to ask; when I saw that post I linked mention the White Fang Sword, it made me super curious about it. Because I love seeing favorite Leo and/or the other turtles too (because I love them too) get cool new weapons and/or gear and/or upgrades and stuff. However, I tried looking it up, and I couldn't find an image of the sword or anything. So I wonder, do you know where I could find a picture and/or image of it, or like, what season the White Fang Sword showed up in? It would have be somewhere between S5-S7, but I am not sure.

P.S.: I got a lot of other things to say about u and friend's art and fics and stuff, because I just found it/them/u guys and I love them, but I wanted to keep this Ask just about the same things basically, and not too scattered all over the place. So you might be getting another Ask/comment/whatever from me sometime in the future. But for now; I leave off w/ this ask, and this P.S., and me hoping this Ask goes through, and doesn't get lost or broken or anything, because it got kind of long.

I pretty much agree with @theunicorncomic-blog entirely on the topic of Leo's swords (which I do get into with TTATH 2). Leo's swords are a piece of him, a literal representation of himself and his soul. Juto told everyone that the forge will either give them a weapon, or the fire will basically incinerate them if they're not worth. Instead, the forge goes out for Leo, suggesting that he already has the weapon he needs.

Faraji mentions later on that Gunshin (the White Fang Sword) was always Leo's, and he was holding onto it for him. Leo also manages to use it while retrieving the first artifact from the kappa demons, but he gets completely knocked out by it. It took ALL he had. Still, once Faraji dies, Leo is able to take up the sword and use it several times without a problem.

I think there's two possible theories, which amounts to unicorn's theory (which I've always thought was the case), and a second one where Faraji was given Gunshin just because he got there first. They were equally worthy of Gunshin, so when the forge was met with Leo, who also was worthy of Gunshin, it just said "oops no more of that one it's already been given byeeee".

Going back to the first theory, why did Leo ever stop using his swords? He couldn't use Gunshin until after Faraji died and gave it to him. Leo is essentially wielding the sword for Faraji. Instead of using his own swords, his own soul, he's fighting with Faraji's instead. He's going to honor Faraji with that sword. And that's when he can use it without getting burned out.

I'm not explaining this great, but I get more in depth with it in No Room for Dying so you'll see my full thoughts there.

As for images! There's this one from the TMNT wiki, which has a lovely article about all the different weapons the turtles have used throughout the different versions!

And here's another, this sword is taller than this boy (5'2") it's fucking MASSIVE.

This one honestly isn't that helpful but doesn't he look so COOL holding that sword completely incorrectly? Great stuff.

OH I FORGOT TO MENTION, the Tribunal becomes really harsh on Leo after this most likely because if he's already THAT spiritually connected to his own blades, to the point where the forge deems them just as worthy as the incredibly powerful mystic weapons that are the Fangs of the Dragon, he's already very powerful. The tribunal don't use mystic weapons (except for Juto but I think his thing is more, he's mystic and because of that his weapons do mystic stuff rather than the other way around). Leo doesn't need them either. The Ancient One mentions that the tribunal is especially hard on Leo because they believe he has great potential, which I believe they got from the reaction of the forge.

Otherwise, why wouldn't Donnie have great potential? He activated his chi by reading a BOOK you can't get any more skilled than that. Baby boy is going at all levels all the time.

Also I think the real reason the show-runners gave them mystic weapons was to sell toys and that's why Leo eventually had to end up with Gunshin but shhhh

Mission 3: Bomb Delivery

New Generation Stars: A mysterious entity hacked the Land of Light security and erased the records of Ultra Heroes, gloating they would be unable to keep their legacy alive. However they the received a message from Decker's universe, a message from the future, where they still have those records. Ultraman Zero received the Dimensionizer, and assurances they can recover the data through it. Zero in turn sent it to Z, and a data gathering mission started. Z is focusing on New Generation Heroes, by thinking on them the Future will send the data to the Dimensionizer. He starts with Ginga, noting his various techniques while focusing on the battle with Zetton (SD) and Magma Seijin (SD) on the moon, as well as Ginga Strium, then Victory and his UlTrans, X and the Cyber Armours, Orb and his Fusion Ups, Geed and his Fusion Rises, the R/B Brother's elemental powers, making a note of Grigio, before continuing with the Tri-Squad. He thinks he should be done, but there's no reaction, so he thinks about his kouhai, Trigger and Decker. He still has no luck, when Ginga contacts him, telling him he's meant to be gathering memories of himself.

Geats: After a call from Sara about how best to cut a pineapple, a mission begins, and they discover Jamato delivering fruit, which explode if disturbed, Ace getting a Magnum Buckle, and a threat is sent to DGP about the bombs, which explode at sunset. In another scramble, Keiwa and Ace are hit by a bomb after defeating the Jamato, Keiwa then realising Sara has a bomb, they all find her wrapped in wire like vines, and don't know which to cut. Neon's mother is angry about her father putting Neon in such a dangerous game, and calls her telling her to leave, Neon refuses. Beroba, a Jamato sponsor, comes to Archimedel and requests the Buffa Core, and introduces herself to Michinaga, offering support to fulfill his wish. Sae and Neon discuss feelings of family, Sae wants to maintain her skills so she can support her siblings after the family restaurant closed down. Keiwa realises he needs to find the Jamato delivering the same fruit Sara received. A mid round vote sees one vote for Neon, Sae and Ace. Finding the Jamato, Geats winds up fighting Buffa when he shows up on the Jamato side, letting Tycoon chase the Jamato, when it seals itself away he borrows the Zombie buckle, defeating it to learn he must cut the red wire. Buffa flees after being overwhelmed by pain. Niram os annoyed about Buffa, but a sponsor's support means he has to do things differently. Alone, Sae looks at a card that details the Desastar's secret mission, to hit other players with bombs.

Donbrothers: Sonoshi, Sonogo and Sonoroku declare the Donbrothers and Noto trio alike enemies of the Noto to be eliminated. The Noto's first request to ally is rejected, especially as they can't help save Kijino. Terasaki is witness to a fellow Penguin taking Taro's form and goes on delivery, Inuzaka tries to make Jiro see sense, but even when Terasaki confirms it Jiro doesn't believe it. Miho confronts the Penguin Taro, and slaps him, restoring his focus, he returns to Kakamura while she is mobbed by cats. The Noto trio are attacked again, Sonoi deciding the Ring of Forgiveness is the only option, as Taro takes Inuzaka into the forest, the Juto possessed by his will, Taro then frees himself as Inuzaka gets Natsumii down, and Cats start mobbing them and Sonoi. Rather than have Inuzaka use Murasame, Taro uses Goldon Momotaro and burns every origami in the forest, telling the Juto their creation isn't their fault, but for their crimes against humans he will force them to remain only on the forest, all the hosts start being freed. Oni Sister and Saru Brother join the battle between the Noto on the side of Sonoza and Sononi, as Sonoi uses the ring of forgiveness to release all the humans sealed by the Noto, Kijino quickly joins the battle. As the others are all dragged to the fight, Jiro finally sees his friends are all illusions. Together the Donbrothers and Noto drive off the enemy for now. Natsumi awakens with Inuzaka, while some way away, the body of Miho sinks below the water.

Outsiders: Asakura robs a bank at gunpoint, but the police are there quickly. A day earlier, he was discussing the plan with councillor Nezu Chuuta, who will get an insurance payout, swearing not to kill and intending to use the money to repay his brother's kindness. When left alone he is approached by Odin, who he doesn't remember, or the rest of the Rider Battle, and is offered the opportunity to fight in a new Battle, but he rejects the Deck. Nezu calls, only to reveal he set Asakura up, watching from the Mirror World and revealing the Scissors Deck, and the threat to the brother keeps him from acting. Odin again offers the Deck, and as he takes it Asakura recalls his memories of that other history, his true self, and as they police burst in, they find no sign of Asakura Takeshi. He comes to Nezu, having contracted Venovsnaker and stabs him to death with a broken mirror, thinking about his aim to kill his brother again. Entering the Rider Battle, he fights Gai, Raia and Zolda, outside Kamen Rider Diend watches, curious to see the moment history changes. Odin informs him he's the last Rider, and immediately has Venosnaker sicced on him, Ouja takes the Mugen Survive Card, using it to become Ouja Survive. Alongside Venoviper(?) Ouja defeats Odin, annoyed to find himself back in the normal world with no reward. The Odin Deck is snatched by Diend, who suggests he target Zein if he wants and opponent, while Diend calls out Foundation X for stealing the Mirror World research to rebirth the Mirror World, and hands over the Deck, which is used to activate repairs on a destroyed Megido Book, and Desast is reborn.

things learned in episode 33:

inuzuka does have memories of the time he was stuck in the form of inu brother (not clear if he remembers turning into an actual dog)

the nouto are normally allies to one another, but now sonoza and sonoi are considered companions to sonoi- due to the resurrection utilizing momotaro’s power

it seems that sonoi can no longer lie- when he states that he has killed momoi (untrue as momoi is still alive), he begins to choke- though it’s not pointed out directly, as kaito brushes it off as him choking on kibi dango, the tone of the scene makes it seem that being unable to lie is now something sonoi is affected by

things about sonoi that seem to have come from momoi: refers to the others as comrades, speaks loudly and with similar inflections to momoi, wants to eat kibi dango, takes interest in strange ideas, tilts his head back a bit when he speaks, & believes his comrades should know their place

the donbrothers have a great power that was awakened by momoi, and once belonged to the don house (a nouto royal family)

dangerous jiro takes care to get momoi help, as momoi dying by someone else’s hand makes him feel as though his existence would have been meaningless- dangerous jiro wishes to defeat momoi only after he has fully recovered

kaito claims that there is nothing he cannot do- this includes perform an emergency surgery on momoi

the geartlinger is able to allow zenkaizer to remove a person’s energy (it also seems that being in the form of zenkaizer, kaito is able to see people’s energies (?))

the energy that was taken from the nouto and the donbrothers (minus inuzuka) enabled momoi to call upon his new/true power

momoi says that he is invincible, as in that he cannot be bound by heaven nor hell, and if he falls he will rise again like a phoenix (hence the phoenix being part of the “true power”)

inuzuka believes miho to be natsumi, as she cuts his hair the same way as natsumi used to (we know that the juto that is presenting as miho copied natsumi, so this is not surprising; however it will have an impact on how inuzuka moves in the next episode)

nouto cannot turn into hitotsuki (we already knew this but just a reminder)

saruhara’s desires include wanting to be more imperfect and to transcend farther

sonoza says that haruka’s slump is giving her an opportunity to do something great

sononi seems to find kijino to be annoying, even calling him “four-eyes” at a point

when sonoi lays claim on the donbrothers as his companions, sononi and sonoza tell them they are on the bottom of the chain (sonoi- sonoza and sononi- donbrothers)

the mouths of the suits can open (via editing but still...)

when sonoi asks who kaito is and why the donbrothers would believe anything he says, haruka says that kaito is a mysterious but trustworthy man

when haruka asks kaito if it is impossible for momoi to die, kaito says it is and that momoi is alive somewhere

inuzuka does not join any of the activities, bc he is focused on the miho/natsumi situation

when sonoi calls the donbrothers to the he assumes they know where to go- the cafe

it seems that murasame can break their seal, as they are able to get away from sonoza with ease (?)

A/N: This one is pretty heavy so please please read the request and the warnings carefully. I’m sure all three of them would be saving you in a heartbeat from any creeps. I also played around with the formatting on this one, so there’s a little bit of a scenario before the headcanons. You had just finished work when you texted your boyfriend, letting them know that you were done for the night. Within moments they texted you back, saying that they were in the area and could come pick you up. You eagerly accepted the invitation and headed outside to wait for them to join you. While you were waiting for them to come, a suspicious looking man walked up to you.

“It’s a nice night out, eh? Such a good-lookin girl shouldn’t be out by herself,” he said, grinning a horrible, snide grin down at you. 

“Leave me alone, I’m waiting for my boyfriend,” you mumbled, taking a deep breath You avoided eye contact with him, stepping closer towards the office door which was lit up. You could already feel your heart beginning to pound in fear as he stepped closer to you.

“I don’t see him anywhere. Why don’t you come with me and we can have some fun,” he said, taking another step forwards as he reached out to grab your arm. Instinctively, you pulled away from him, feeling the brick wall against your back.

“Don’t touch me,” you warned him, grabbing your bag close to your body, prepared to swing it if he tried anything. 

“Bitch!” he shouted, reacting faster than you had expected him to. Within moment his arms were wrapped around yours, pulling you away from the building and towards the parking lot.

“Stop! Let go of me!” you shrieked, thrashing in his arms as you desperately tried to fight him back. “Help!” you screamed out, managing to elbow the man in the chest. 

For a brief moment he let go, giving you time to escape his hold as he groaned in pain. You took off towards the building, ready to burst through the door, but at the last moment, you felt something pull your leg out from underneath you, sending you hurtling to the ground. As your head hit the concrete, the last thing you remembered was a voice calling out your name...

Samatoki Aohitsugi

Samatoki had been walking to your office when he heard your cry for help

immediately bursting onto the scene, he was just in time to witness the man pulling you down to the ground

Samatoki’s eyes widened as he shouted out your name, immediately running over to where you were laying on the ground

your attacker cussed under his breath at the sight of someone being able to identify him and began to walk off away from you

Samatoki knelt down beside you, quickly realizing that you had been knocked unconscious 

his breath caught in his throat as he said your name once more, turning you onto your back and seeing the blood where your head had hit the ground

at the sight of you in pain, Samatoki began to feel the anger bubble up inside of him, slowly rising until it was overflowing

it was all because of that man

he wasted no time in rushing to his feet and swiveling around, looking for where your attacker had run off to

and when he saw the man hastily walking away, clutching his stomach where you had punched him, Samatoki only saw red

it didn’t take the Yakuza boss long to run the man down, catching him by the arm and throwing him on the ground

“You think you can fuck with my girl and get away with it? You bastard, I’ll tear you to pieces!”

Samatoki is only vaguely aware of himself as his fists fly, punching the attacker over and over again with rage

when the man was black and blue and Samatoki was satisfied that the man would never touch anyone ever again, he got to his feet, wobbling slightly as he panted

at this point, his fists were painted red, but the pain didn’t register as Samatoki quickly went back to your side

he slowly caressed you, holding your head in his lap and calling out your name gently

“Come on, princess. Time for you to wake up so we can get you home.”

it took a while, but eventually you regained consciousness, holding tightly onto Samatoki, not wanting him to leave your side

he asked you if you wanted to go to the hospital but you just shook your head, asking him to take you home instead

with a kiss to the temple, Samatoki picked you up onto his back and began to carry you home, eager to get away from your attacker

but not before placing a convenient call to Juto, telling him to pick up some trash to throw in jail

Juto Iruma

as soon as Juto heard your cry for help, his walk to your location quickly became a sprint

and once he rounded the corner to find your attacker crawling towards your still body

Juto took in his surroundings quickly and with the expertise of a policeman who had been in the force for long enough to know exactly what to do

although his heart lurched at the sight of you, he kept his calm and immediately sprung into action

Juto could see the man trying to pull you away towards the parking lot, and that was enough for him to take legal action

he pulled out his gun in one smooth motion, declaring that he was a police officer and that the man should freeze

all the while, Juto quickly made his way over to you and whenever the man would try to move, Juto was quick to raise his gun

“Stay right where you are, bastard. Hands in the air and don’t even try to run or I promise you I’ll pull the trigger.”

the attacker dropped you, making Juto his as you fell to the ground limply once more

after a few more back and forths, your attacker finally groaned in defeat, putting his hands in the air and declaring that he didn’t do anything wrong

but of course, Juto just ignored him, pulling out his handcuffs and cuffing the man, leaving them on just a bit too tight

as soon as the man was cuffed, Juto turned his attention back to you

he called for a squad car to take the man into the police precinct and an ambulance for you as he knelt down beside you

he kept a close eye on the man, but almost all of his attention was now on you, worried that you were still unconscious 

he checked your pulse to make sure that you were still doing okay, but his chest was still burning with anxiety

“Come on sweetheart, I need you to open those pretty eyes for me.”

when you finally came back around, the first thing you saw was Juto looking down at you with concern, and you knew everything was going to be okay

Juto doesn’t give you a choice and forces you to take the ambulance to the hospital where he never leaves your side for a moment

he definitely feels a little guilty for not reaching you faster, thinking that the man wouldn’t have attacked you if he had been there with you

but he’s just happy that he was able to save you in time and that you’re safe with him now 

Riou Busujima

Riou was only a few feet away from your work when he heard you screaming for help

his military training kicked into overdrive as he called your name, rounding the corner to find your attacker pulling you down to the ground

it only took a moment for Riou to realize that you had gone limp and as his eyes flickered towards the man standing over you, they darkened over 

in moments he was racing towards the man

the attacker saw Riou and struggled to get to his feet, immediately becoming nervous at the size of Riou

regardless, the man tried to fight back, lifting up his hands preparing to punch away

but he was no match for your boyfriend who had all of the extensive training required for moments like these

at first, Riou debated pulling out his hypnosis microphone, but then he decided that your attacker wasn’t even worth it

the fight only lasted a few moments and it was barely enough to even be called a fight at all

Riou hadn’t meant to knock the man out, but his punch had been just a little stronger than he had anticipated

after a swift kick to the legs, the man ended up sprawled on the ground beside you, groaning out in pain before quieting

Oh- here's my idea for Rise Ninja Tribunal: so, the power is like the Avatar Cycle in that the fourth Tribubal reincarnate into different bodies. When Karai was alive, the current Tribunal was Kon, Juto, Chikara, and Hisomi. In modern days, the four powers have reincarnated into Faraji, Joi, Adam, and Tora. And that's my idea for the Ninja Tribunal in Rise.

Beginning with pitched down vocals, “80 Underwater” picks up about halfway through and features acutely specific lyrics. Luke Jr. has mastered the art of capturing the importance of a single moment, which also happens to blend seamlessly with a high headspace. The track comes from his three song project A Time of Loss, which is definitely worth a listen. Juto - “Kiwi”

Juto is currently one of the most underrated rising artists out there, which makes listening to his music feel even more special. “Kiwi” is a head-turner, layered thick and grounded by a seductive bass line. Her latest song “Unemployed” hits harder than some of her past releases and showcases her affinity for rapidfire verses and creative lyricism.

Noname - “Song 32”

Immediately settling deep into a hard groove, “Song 32” is representative of Noname’s jaw-dropping creativity and artistic confidence. Spoken word and sung poetry over a smoking hot track make for an incredibly unique listening experience. This is a great one to play after lighting up, perhaps while people-watching at your local park or mall.

Aside from the upbeat production and cheerful melodic line, the lyrics could be analyzed and picked apart for hours—a great activity after smoking a joint.

Dayglow - “Fuzzybrain”

Offering a 60’s era level of simplicity in his chords, harmonies and use of synth, Dayglow’s music sets a positive tone. Both easy listening and slightly trippy, “Fuzzybrain” gently comforts the listener with relatable lyrics and a heartwarming push for self-betterment. He sings,

Haley Heynderickx has a distinct style that will inevitably lead you down the rabbit hole of her entire discography. Ore ga Ichiro

Yamada Ichiro’s song “Ore ga Ichiro” is based on the classic street style track, spun into a dramatic arrangement by Creator Guild’s Gesshoku Kaigi. Cola Bintarou-san (a.k.a Kimura Subaru) oversaw and compiled the whole project, complete with lyrics that shine with overflowing manliness. (Hirano)

Sensenfukoku

Yamada Jiro’s aggressive nature takes form in “Sensenfukoku”, a song with a hardy sound similar to Prophets of Rage. Based on a mixture of rock bands like ROTTENGRAFFTY, Dragon Ash, and others; we wanted to make sure that it’d make the crowd scream at live performances. This is another way that Gesshoku Kaigi unifies its creative processes. (Hirano)

New Star

For the brilliant yet cheeky second year middle schooler, Yamada Saburo, Miura Koushi incorporated a sampling of classical music in the production of “New Star”. In contrast to Jiro’s powerful strikes, we wondered how could we make Saburo’s song feel like a chuuni’s fantasy. After our discussion,  Miura-san chose to include “Aria on G String”, a delicate melody that everyone recognizes from their music lessons. (Hirano)

Mad Trigger Crew

G anthem of Y-CITY

Much like Samatoki himself, his song is straight up self-boasting and brutal. Since his early life is touched upon as well, I aimed for a GANGSTA-RAP theme. While it takes inspiration from legendary gangsta crew songs, sound effects that reminds people of the Yakuza were also added. I think with its unrefined yet simple feeling, the song becomes addictive the more you listen to it. (Nagashima)

Bayside Smoking Blues

Due to Juto’s cool and mature atmosphere, I aimed for his song to be trendy and stylish; different from the other two. Since he’s known as a “dirty cop”, I tried referring to the atmosphere of main themes of some Japanese movies. I think this is the easiest song to listen in Yokohama. In fact, he says a lot of vulgar words that it almost sound like an AV (laughs). (Nagashima)

What’s My Name?

This is completely G-Funk! As ordered. I also referenced European military songs. I thought of adding a call-and-response rap for the hook. “Survival Cooking”, the catchy yet scary punchline, is the real deal but it’s quite a struggle to come up with. I hope you will enjoy shouting along while listening to it.  (Nagashima)

Labyrinth Wall

GADORO-kun, a new and rising rapper, who recently dominated at KOK 2017(1), wrote the rap. Conveniently, Hayami-san was challenged with a poetry reading rap, which is GADORO-kun’s specialty. It’s amazing how Hayami-san could follow through breathlessly. The track was composed by Yokoyama Masaru-kun, in reference to the BGM “White Comet” from the movie Space Battleship Yamato(2). Jinguji Jakurai's character is shown to hold within him a "cold flame".  (Miyamoto)

Champagne Gold

The best host, Izanami Hifumi, made a party tune that everyone could enjoy. Torio-san of Gesshoku Kaigi did the arrangement and Fujimori Shingo-san wrote the lyrics. Anyways, I thought we could include a call part in the character song as a way to loosen up. Kijima Ryuichi-san also gave out ideas of how to approach singing the song at the recording site. Tigridia

Everyone requested for the hip-hop band AFRO PARKER-san to write the song for the salaryman. The gap between the song title "Tigridia" and the contents of Doppo's rap is amusing, so please look up it’s meaning in the language of flowers(3). Itou Kento-san's skills were surprising and the parts with overlapping voices were all approached in different manners of rap. (Mori)

The concept behind the song was “Ramuda skipping with a lollipop in his mouth”. Ramuda is both cute and cunning, and Shirai Yuusuke-san was able to convey both sides of his character through his singing. Maybe you can see a glimpse of Ramuda’s hidden strength in the rap parts. (Mori)

When Yumeno Gentaro speaks of his past, he narrates as if telling a story. What is a lie, what is a truth - all of his remarks are a mystery; this song was made this way because it’s Yumeno Gentaro. The line “It’s just a lie” was set on top of the track, and Soma Saito-san’s murmured whispers were mixed in. I want people to feel Gentaro’s sexiness. (Mori)

The notation of the title “3$EVEN” using the combination of “$” and “even” to read “seven” is a common way of expression used not only in hip-hop but also in english speaking countries. This time, I tried expressing the gambling theme by focusing on slot machines. It might be interesting to look up the sound effects used in the track and the pachinko slot terms used in the lyrics. Nozuyama Yukihiro-san’s “It’s was a dream!” line was very Dice-like. I like it. (Mori)

Director’s Comment (on the project)

In order to show the strong personalities of the four Divisions, the music production was divided amongst the four production directors of EVIL LINE RECORDS. I, Hirano, am responsible for Ikebukuro, the head of EVIL LINE RECORDS label - Miyamoto for Shinjuku, Hip-hop culture guru Nagashima for Yokohama, and the youngest director - Mori mainly follows Shibuya. There are multiple people in the production, so I think there’s a wide range of musical ideas, and an extraordinary richness in character. As the battles unfold in the story of Hypmic, our battles as production directors also unfolds behind the scenes. (Hirano)

Secret of the Sewers: Requiem

In the secluded woods outside of New York City, a large mansion stood overlooking a large cliff. Inside the mansion, Saki laid on an operating table as Dr. Chaplin worked on attaching a metal arm to the stump of his right. It was a slow process, and Saki had refused aesthetic, determined to power through the pain.

“I’m almost done, Master.” Chaplain reported. “Just another minute, and your arm will be good to go.”

“Do what you have to, Dr. Chaplin.” Saki told him. “Just get it done!”

Chaplin nodded as he proceeded, finishing up with the procedure before setting his tools aside. He lifted his safety goggles, nodding slightly.

“That should be it.” he announced. “Give it a test.”

Saki looked down at his new metal arm and focused on the hand. His fist clenched and two blades thrusted out. Saki smiled in response as he raised his arm.

“This shows promise.” Saki admitted. “Let’s test this new arm out.”

Chaplain nodded, then he stepped back as Hun entered the room. The Gamaron was still in his natural form, and had a large stone statue in his arms. He set it down in front of his Master, stepping back as well.

“Go ahead, Master Shredder.” Chaplain insisted. “I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

Saki clenched his fists as he charged towards the statue and slashed at it with his metal arm. As he stopped in his tracks, the top half of the statue slid off and fell to the ground. It shattered on impact, eliciting a cruel grin from Saki.

“Perhaps this handicap works as a benefit, after all.” Saki mused.

“I’m glad you approve, Master.” Dr. Chaplain told him, stepping forward again. “If you’re ready, I can show you what else I’ve been working on while you were recovering from your first encounter with the Hamato Clan.”

“Even I have to admit, the kid’s done a good job.” Hun announced. “He ain’t no Stockman, but he’s pretty close.”

“Then let’s see what you have for me, Dr. Chaplin.” Saki told him.

...

Dr. Chaplain led Saki and Hun into his personal lab in the mansion, revealing a row of cells lining one of the walls.

“I’m sure you remember Project Tusks and Project Horn.” Chaplain began, gesturing to the first pair of cells.

Inside the cells were the same mutant warthog and rhino from TCRI, the very ones that Saki had pulled from the rubble after its collapse. Neither of them looks like they had been treated well, fresh bandages of their arms and thick metal collars on their necks.

“Through their DNA mapping, I was able to work out exactly how Dr. Stockman was able to find the proper balance between a sentient creature and a wild animal.” the doctor explained. “And with that knowledge, I’ve created a few new creatures for you to appraise.”

Saki walked over to a cell that held a tall, slender creature with a wolf-like face, long boney claws, and beady yellow eyes. There was a muzzle locked around his shortened muzzle, and his cell was covered in deep claw marks.

“This is Project Rahzar.” Chaplain introduced. “He is a mutant coyote. He is incredibly agile, fast, and-”

Rahzar swiped at the glass, his claws shooting out of his fingers and bouncing on the thick glass wall of his cell.

“-and his claws appear to have become some sort of organic projectile weapon.” Chaplain continued. “They’re incredibly sharp and potentially deadly, as you can see.”

“Impressive.” Saki commended. “But if we’re going to be facing the Hamato Clan, and the Council. I will need more.”

“Luckily, I am far from done.” Chaplain announced, moving onto the next cell.

This cell was filled with water, and inside was what appeared to be a humanoid shark. The creatures toes and hands were webbed, a dorsal fin stuck out of its back, and it had a long jaw that seemed to wrap halfway around its head.

“I took the principles of Project Fishface, and began tweaking it to something far more massive and intimidating.” Chaplain explained. “Thus, I created Project Armaggon. I’m currently working on a breathing apparatus for him so he can walk on land, unlike Fishface.”

“Impressive.” Saki commented. “But this is just two mutants against eleven capable warriors.”

“I thought of that as well.” Chaplain assured him. “That’s why I brought back a few old favorites of yours.”

He went over to another cell, which was filled with several different dog mutants, all of them snarling and barking. The noise would have been deafening were it not for the soundproof glass door.

“You wanted an army, so I obliged.” Chaplain declared. “With all these puppies, combined with the rest of my projects and the forces you have at your disposal, nothing will stand in your way, Master.”

“This… will do nicely.” Saki replied before turning to Hun. “Hun, what has been the progress on finding the Council’s new dwelling?”

“Successful, Master.” Hun reported. “They have taken up residence in an old dojo on the Northside of town. They’re in the middle of renovating it into a proper dojo as we speak.”

“Excellent.” Saki responded. “Once Chaplin’s mutants are fully formed, we will launch a full scale assault. This night will see the end of Yoshi, the Council, the turtles, and their freak of a sister!”

The Foot High Council’s new dojo was currently under heavy construction. Several workers under the council’s personal employment were all over the building, making sure everything was to the council’s specifications. Overseeing then entire operation, the council milled about the building, giving insight where they saw fit.

“The dojo is coming along nicely.” Chikara complimented. “In time, it will be a suitable place to begin rebuilding the New York faction of the Foot.”

“There is still much to be done, if we are to undo all of Saki’s actions here.” Juto reminded.

“More than that, there is still no sign of Saki after the Hamato Clan destroyed his freighter.” Hisomi added. “He has survived perilous situations before, and it is too soon to count him amongst the dead.”

“Hisomi speaks true.” Mashimi added. “We should scour every inch of this city until we find him!”

“Patience, Mashimi.” Kon told him. “I fear that before long, Saki will find us.”

“Then we must be ready when he does.” Juto declared.

Amidst the general chaos that was common for a construction site, five Foot Tech Ninjas, replacements for those slain before, made their way inside. They planted bombs around the sight, then disappeared.

The council went to go their separate ways, then Chikara froze, hearing a faint beeping amongst all the noise.

“Fellow council members.” she hissed. “I hear something.”

“What?” Mashimi asked.

Hisomi focused on the sound, picking up the beeping as well. His eyes flew open and he turned to his fellow council members.

“Everyone down!” he shouted.

Not wasting time to ask why, council members and workers alike all hit the deck, covering their heads seconds before the various bombs went off.

...

Not too far away, the Hamato siblings were out on a training run in the city. Although the training portion of their run had devolved into little more than a race, each sibling trying their best to beat the other. In the home stretch of it though, Miwa pulled out ahead, bypassing Hisako by literally vaulting over her shoulders. She landed on the roof of the building they had decided was the finish line, bowing proudly as she shot her siblings a triumphant smirk.

“I do believe this makes me the winner.” she declared.

“No way!” Hisako argued. “You cheated! You used me as a springboard!”

“Aw, is our little sister a sore loser?” Mikey taunted.

Hisako glowered at Mikey as the other turtles climbed up onto the roof.

“Whoa now, Hisako finally lost a race?” Raph declared. “About time if you ask me!”

“Never thought I’d see the day.” Donny admitted.

“Hey, go easy on her guys.” Leo told them. “The loss is probably taking its toll on her.”

“Alright!!” Hisako exclaimed. “I get it!”

She slammed her foot down on the ground, and as she did, there was a loud explosion off in the distance. Everyone froze as Hisako winced nervous.

“Uhh… That wasn’t me.” she insisted. “I think...”

The six of them looked around to find the source of the explosion, with Leo seeing a trail of smoke in the distance.

“Guys, look!” He called out, pointing in that direction.

The others turned and saw the same thing.

“What do you think caused it?” Mikey asked.

“No clue.” Leo answered. “But there might be people in trouble.”

“Uh, Leo?” Donny spoke up. “I’m pretty sure that’s what rescue crews are for.”

“Wait…” Miwa let out. “Isn’t that the direction where the Council’s new dojo is being built?”

The siblings exchanged worried looks, then all took off towards the rising smoke.

...

At the wreckage of the building, the Council began slowly pulling themselves from the rubble. They were a bit shaken and covered in dirt, but thankfully still alive.

“Is everyone alright?” Kon asked his fellow council members.

“Yes...” Hisomi groaned, popping a dislocated shoulder back into place.

“This is Saki’s doing.” Juto let out. “There is no other explanation.”

“Too much of a coward to face us head on, he attempted to be rid of us with such dishonorable methods.” Chikara spat. “Just what I would expect from that slimy bastard.”

“Be on guard.” Mashimi cautioned. “This attack may not be over yet.”

“Indeed.”

The five Council members turned to see Shredder entering the room in his signature armor and new metal arm. To his right was the Gamaron creature Hun, and to his left, Dr. Chaplin, who was holding a large remote in his hand.

“Oroku Saki.” Chikara spat. “So, you slithered out of whatever hole you’ve been lurking in to face us.”

“After everything I have suffered, nothing would give me greater pleasure than to squeeze the life out of all five of you with my own hands.” Shredder boasted.

“You brought this suffering upon yourself, Saki.” Juto declared. “Framing an innocent man, stealing his child, and all of the crimes you have committed in order to fulfill your twisted schemes.”

“The only ones to blame for my pain are you.” Shredder through back. “You and your predecessors allowed Hamato Yoshi to enter the Foot. This Council has undermined me from the very moment that street rat walked through those doors! Now, I will finally have my vengeance!”

“Wow, sounds like we got here just in time!” Leo’s voice called out from the now caved-in roof.

Everyone looked up just in time to see the Hamato siblings drop down into the building, facing down Shredder and his cronies.

“Dudes, he’s got two arms again!” Mikey noticed.

“How’s that possible?” Donny questioned. “Leatherhead ripped it off!”

“I have Dr. Chaplain to thank for my new appendage.” Shredder announced, lifting his arm up and extending the blades.

“Cute.” Raph remarked. “You’d think he’d try to improve your personality while he was at it.”

“I have grown tired of you creatures.” Shredder replied. “All your games end today. Foot, attack!”

The elites appeared in a large cloud of smoke. The Foot Tech ninjas shimmered into view, and several motorheads climbed in through every available hole and niche in the building. Chaplain grinned, then lifted his remote.

“Dogpound platoon, move in.” he ordered.

Hisako blanched slightly, looking over at her siblings.

“Did he just say what I think he said?” she gulped.

“He said it.” Mikey replied.

With that, an entire wall came crashing in as at least two dozen mutant dogs came charging into the building. They were barking loudly, fangs bared as they closed in on the group. The ninjas took that as their sign to attack, the innumerable forces closing in on the Hamato siblings and the council.

“Great,” Raph let out. “Again with these mutts.”

Raph then bashed two dogs aside with the blunt end of his sai before kicking an oncoming motorhead. Mikey pulled out his Nunchucks and bashed away every motorhead he saw. The spear elite tried stabbing at him but he quickly ducked under the blade before leaping into the air and kicking him in the face.

“Why, why, WHY did these dog creatures have to come back?!” Mikey cried, narrowly avoiding the bite of one.

“We’ll worry about that when we’re not fighting for our lives.” Leo replied, slashing one dog aside.

He then split kick two oncoming motorheads before dodging a swing from the hook sword elite. The elite swung his weapons at him again but he easily blocked them. He then shoved the swords aside before turning his swords backwards and hitting the elite in the face with the hilts. Donny meanwhile had just swatted away a motorhead before being tackled to the ground by one of the dogs. Donny held up his staff to block the dog as he kept chewing on it.

Don finally kicked the dog away and got back to his feet. Before he could engage the mutt however, Hun came up and swatted him aside, sending him colliding into a nearby pillar. As Donny pulled himself up, three more dogs closed in on them. As they all charged at him, Donny extended one of the blades on his staff and slashed them all, causing them all to drop the ground.

Across the room, the Council were fending off several motorheads and mutated dogs. As Chikara struck down another dog, Shredder came face to face with her.

“Chikara,” Shredder let out. “It almost seems fitting that you will be the first to fall tonight.”

“The only one who will fall here is you, Saki.” Chikara countered, gripping her katana.

Chikara ran forward and tried slicing Shredder with her weapon, but Shredder simply blocked it. Shredder then shoved her off as he tried striking her. Fortunately, Chikara was fast enough to dodge and deflect every blow dealt to her.

“You should be ashamed of yourself, Saki.” she taunted. “Did you honestly think you stood a chance against us with your paltry skills?”

“As a matter of fact.” Shredder replied. “But I took precautions in case I was wrong.”

Shredder tried swinging high, but Chikara ducked under it, attempting to run him through. He quickly sidestepped the strike, lifting his metal arm and bringing the blades down on her back.

“Chaplain, release the rest of our army.” he commanded.

“As you wish, Master Shredder.” Chaplain replied, readying his remote. “Deploying remaining mutants.”

“There’s more of these things?!” Mikey shrieked.

As if meant to answer his question, four imposing figures entered the building. Two were easily recognized by the Hamato siblings as Tusks and Horns, while the two new projects caught them off guard.

“I don’t remember those two from ‘you-know-where’!” Donny announced.

“That’s because they’re not ‘you-know-who’s’.” Leo realized. “They’re that Chaplain guy’s!”

“You are correct.” Chaplain announced. “Project Rahzar, Project Armaggon, destroy them all. Project Tusks, Project Horns, aid Master Shredder.”

The four creatures looked more than a bit reluctant, but a threatening lift of Chaplain’s remote spurred them into motion. Donny took note of this before he was attacked by Project Rahzar. He ducked and leapt over the various claw strikes the coyote was dealing towards him.

“Listen, you don’t have to do this.” he tried to reason with Rahzar.

“No… choice...” Rahzar let out, his mouth clearly unused to speaking. “Chaplain… can kill us… if we… rebel...”

“Then sorry about this.” Donny apologized, smacking him across the face with his staff.

Rahzar stumbled backwards as Donny jumped up, trying to bring his staff down on his head. Rahzar fell to the ground with a plop as Donny landed.

“Again, so sorry.” Donny lamented.

As he said that, the Kama elite came out of nowhere and kicked him in the side, knocking him back. Donny quickly got up and blocked the Kama elite’s oncoming attack with his staff until a green halo of energy surrounded the unfortunate elite. He was pulled off his feet and into an oncoming Dogpound mutant.

“We’re outnumbered, outgunned, and seriously outmatched here!” Hisako exclaimed.

Miwa stumbled backwards, ending up back to back with Hisako as she tried to hold back Armaggon with her katana.

“No… kidding!” she grunted, struggling to hold the shark at bay.

“We need help!” Raph let out, spin kicking several Motorheads away.

“Newsflash Raph, I don’t think anyone’s coming!” Mikey cried.

...

Down in the lair, Splinter had invited Murakami down for some tea. The two master ninjas sat in the living room, Murakami sighing contently.

“Your home smells of pizza, mildew, and dirty laundry.” He commented. “Like a home well lived in.”

“Well lived indeed.” Splinter replied. “While not the path I would’ve chosen, it is one I would not trade for the world.”

“Nor should you.” Murakami told him. “Your children are honorable warriors who have defended this city time and again. You should be very proud of them.”

“A father could not be more proud.” Splinter declared.

Before either of them could continue, there was a loud knock on the door of the lair. Both masters perked, Murakami cocking his ear.

“Someone very large is at your door, Yoshi-kun.”

“I believe I know who it is then.” Splinter replied.

He then went to the door and opened it, revealing Leatherhead standing in the doorway.

“Leatherhead, to what do I owe the pleasure?” Splinter asked.

“There was… an explosion… near my home...” he explained. “I was worried...”

“An explosion?” Murakami repeated.

Leatherhead noticed Murakami for the first time, letting out an instinctive growl. He relaxed slightly as he caught a whiff of the man.

“You smell… like the food… Oracle brings me...” He commented.

“If you mean Hisako, I do cook for her and the turtles every now and then.” Murakami told him.

“You can trust him, Leatherhead.” Splinter reassured. “Now what is this about an explosion?”

“I heard the noise… smelled the smoke… I feared… I was under attack.”

“Considering you came all the way here, i assume you were not.” Splinter commented.

“No...” Leatherhead replied. “But… someone above… was...”

Murakami frowned at this, stroking his chin.

“I do not like the sound of that, Yoshi-kun.” he commented. “I assume you have a television.”

“I do.” Splinter answered, reaching for the remote. “Perhaps news of the cause of Leatherhead’s explosion will be broadcasting.”

With that, Splinter turned on the TV and flipped it to the news station. Immediately, grainy footage clearly shot from a camera phone began playing onscreen.

“Earlier this evening, an explosion rang out on the north side of the city. Police have declined to comment on the cause of the explosion, but so far no casualties have been reported. Government agents have cordoned off the area, and citizens are urged to stay as far away from the scene as possible.”

As the broadcast played, something on the screen caught Splinter’s eye. He quickly rewound the program and paused on a certain frame.

“What is it?” Murakami asked.

“I know who is responsible for the explosion.” He reported, his voice trembling in fear. “Saki...”

Murakami jumped to his feet, realizing the implications.

“The Council!” he exclaimed.

“Oracle!” Leatherhead let out.

“My children!!” Splinter gasped. “We must get over there, now!”

...

Back at the battle, Juto had engaged Shredder head on, clashing blades with him in a mad frenzy.

“The time has come for you to answer for your crimes, Shredder!” Juto declared.

“No, the time has come for the Council’s reign over the Foot to end!” Shredder countered.

Shredder then batted Juto’s weapon aside and kicked him in the chest, sending him skidding across the floor. Almost immediately after, Horns charged at the councilor, jumping on top of him hard enough to crater the floor beneath him.

“Nothin’ personal, man.” Horns told him. “Just tryin’ ta stay alive here.”

Meanwhile, Mikey was duking it out with Tusks, who was pounding and punching at him relentlessly.

“Ok, we seriously have to stop meeting like this.” Mikey told him. “We can help you guys if you only let us.”

“Would if we could believe me.” Tusks declared. “This new guy may not be as bad as Stock-freak was, but he still ain’t one to trifle with. He juiced up our collars. One wrong move, and I’m a rump roast.”

“I feel so sorry for you guys.” Mikey told him. “I’d feel even sorrier if you weren’t trying to hurt us, but hey, I understand.”

“Thanks.” Tusks replied before picking him up and throwing him into a wall.

Mikey slid down the wall groaning. Tusks charged at him, only for Miwa to come flying at the warthog, kicking him to the side.

“Wake-up little brother.” Miwa said while snapping her fingers in front of his face. “Fight’s not over yet.”

Mikey shook his head in response, getting back into focus before springing back to his feet.

“These mutants are really giving us a run for our money.” Mikey commented before running back into the fight.

Meanwhile, Raph was duking it out with Armaggon, the mutant shark snapping at him every change he got.

“Ya know, the last mutant fish we fought was confined to a tank in the bottom of an elevator shaft.” Raph remarked, keeping Armaggon at bay with his sai. “I can’t tell if this is an improvement or not.”

Armaggon just seemed to gurgle, his jaw not made for speech. However, his beady eyes told the whole story. They were desperate, scared, and far from the bloodthirsty angler fish Raph had dealt with in TCRI.

“Look, I can tell you don’t want to do this.” Raph tried to reason. “We can help you.”

Armaggon gurgled again, then tilted his head to the side. This exposed a rather high-tech looking apparatus covering his gills. Raph knew enough about sharks to know they needed water to breath, and Armaggon revealing this gadget to him was basically an open invitation to kill him.

“If you’re asking me to kill you, forget it.” Raph told him. “There’s gotta be another way.”

Armaggon gurgled loudly, grabbing Raph by the front of his shell. He roared in his face in anger, then that roar was met by another. All of a sudden, Leatherhead came plowing right into Armaggon, forcing him to drop Raph.

“Don’t… touch… my friends!!” The croc bellowed.

“Nice timing, LH.” Raph complimented.

As LH held the shark as bay, Murakami and Splinter jumped down into the room, facing Shredder.

“Well, well, I was wondering when I would face you again, my former pupil.” Murakami declared.

“Ah, Murakami,” Shredder let out. “It only seems fitting that you are here, considering you are the one that started this whole thing.”

Kon attempted to strike at Shredder, only to be backhanded into a creaking support beam. He struck it hard, the beam collapsing behind him and bring several tons of rubble down on top of him.

“Three down.” Shredder declared.

Hisomi saw Shredder take down Kon, and gripped his sword tightly.

“You will not take any more of our brethren!” He swore.

“We shall see of that.” Shredder remarked, charging at him.

Meanwhile, Splinter made his way over to where his children were fighting the other Foot forces. Leo and Donny were back to back, holding back Motorheads and Dogpound units desperately. Raph was rushing to Leatherhead’s aid, both to help him keep Armaggon down and prevent the croc from killing him. Mikey had turned his Nunchucks into a three piece and was fending off the kusarigama elite. Miwa was aiding Mashimi, their swords fending off any and all motorheads that came their way.

“We’re not going to win this!” Miwa let out. “Their forces are too powerful!”

“The mutants tip the tides in their favor!” Mashimi declared.

Hisako looked over at Chaplain, her eyes narrowing as she locked onto the remote in his hands.

“Then what do you say we tip them back!” she announced. “Someone clear me a path! I’ve got an idea!”

Leo and Raph nodded as they ran ahead of Hisako, taking down every motorhead and mutant in their path. She charged right at the doctor, who saw her coming and his eyes widened.

“Rahzar, do not let Project Oracle near me!” He commanded.

Rahzar growled as he charged at her. Hisako saw him coming, bringing up her tessen to block several of his bone claw projectiles.

“Rahzar, listen to me!” she begged. “I know you’re scared, and I know you’re only obeying that guy out of self-preservation! But I swear to you, I can help! We all can help if you just let us!”

“You’re wasting your words, Project Oracle.” Chaplain taunted. “They won’t listen to you.”

Hisako tensed, her breath becoming heavier. Rahzar’s animal instincts kicked in, telling him to stay as far away from her as possible.

“I dare you to say that again, Chaplain.” she snarled.

Hun quickly took note of this and rushed over to her. He batted her aside, sending her flying into a wall. She bounced off it hard, crumbling to the ground.

“You idiot!” Hun shouted, pointing at Chaplain. “Do not provoke that brat!”

“Sorry,” Chaplin let out. “My bad.”

Meanwhile, Murakami was helping Hisomi duel against Shredder. The two continued to press their attacks on Shredder, but he was able to keep up with and deflect them all. Hisomi tried stabbing Shredder, but he caught the blade in his claws and snapped it. He then grabbed Hisomi by the throat and threw him at Murakami. Murakami ducked under him as he charged at Shredder, swiftly slashing at Shredder’s claws.

“You have grown more powerful since my retirement.” Murakami noted. “I would say I am impressed, if I did not know the hatred and rage that fuels your strength.”

“It is strength enough to strike you down, old man!” Shredder yelled.

Shredder tried kicking him in the head, but Murakami ducked under it and tried sweeping Shredder’s legs. Shredder leapt over the strike and tried bringing his claws down on him, only for Murakami to block them with his sword.

“You forget, Saki.” Murakami chastised. “Everything you know, I have taught you.”

He then shoved Shredder off and spun around, striking Shredder in the head with the hilt of his sword and sending him flying across the room.

“But I have not taught you everything I know.” Murakami finished.

Meanwhile, Hisako was still duking it out with Rahzar, using her tessen to continue avoiding his claws. She continued to try and reason with him as she did.

“I’ve been in your shoes.” She told him. “I was the victim of a sadistic scientist too. Even to this day, I lay awake at night thinking about what he did to me. But I got out. Leatherhead got out!”

Rahzar stole a glance at LH, who threw Armaggon into a wall with his brute strength.

“And I have a plan to free all of you.” Hisako insisted. “I just need you to trust me. Please.”

She grabbed his head, filling his mind with images of her plan. She also slipped him some feelings of hope, and boosted his desire for freedom while she was at it. As she pulled her hands away, she met Rahzar’s eyes and nodded.

“Now grab me and toss me as hard as you can.” she told him.

Rahzar followed through, grabbing Hisako and throwing her through the air…. Right at Dr. Chaplain. The doctor’s eyes widened.

“Oh Shi-!”

She tackled him to the ground, his head bouncing on the concrete. The remote fell from his hands as she grabbed it, holding it over her head.

“Donny!” she shouted. “Batter up!”

She lobbed the remote through the air, much to Shredder’s, Hun’s and Dr. Chaplain’s horror.

“No!” Chaplin cried out.

Donny then swung his staff at the remote, shattering it to pieces. All of the collars on the mutants began beeping, then they clicked, unlocking and falling to the ground. Tusk, Horns, Armaggon, and Rahzar all took their in shock. Their hands drifted up slowly to their necks, feeling the air rush across their skin for the first time ever. After getting over this moment of elation, they turned on their former captors with malicious grins.

“Aww Crud...” Hun let out.

Horns immediately charged at Hun, Tusks following right behind. The warthog grabbed the Gamaron, pinning his arms behind his back, allowing the rhino to plow right into him. Rahzar began shooting his claws all across the room, striking Motorheads and Dogpound soldiers alike. Armaggon gurgled loudly, sinking his teeth into a Motorhead before tossing him aside.

“Cowabunga!” Mikey cheered. “We’re winning this fight!”

“Yes...” Leatherhead agreed, snarling loudly as he launched himself back into the fray.

As he got back up, Shredder saw that the mutants were no longer under his control.

“This battle is over!” Shredder yelled. “Foot, fall back!”

The Foot forces began piling out, with Hun picking up Chaplin and running out. As Mashimi saw Shredder running away, he gripped his sword and chased after.

“Shredder!” Mashimi yelled.

Mashimi jumped into the air to try and attack, but Shredder simply turned and lifted his metal arm. The blades extended, piercing right through Mashimi’s chest. The counselor let out a choked gasp, the blade slipping from his grip.

“No!” Splinter screamed.

“Mashimi!” Murakami cried out.

Shredder sneered, then threw Mashimi off his blades and back into the building before taking off after his forces. Splinter and Murakami ran over to Mashimi to check on him, only to see the life fade from his eyes. The turtles all gasped, Miwa putting a hand to her mouth as Hisako clutched her forehead.

“He’s… gone.” she whispered.

Leatherhead and the rest of the mutants looked down mournfully as Splinter and Murakami gently picked up Mashimi.

“We cannot leave him here...” Splinter let out.

“The other counselors need help too.” Donny added.

“If we take them to a hospital, Shredder will no doubt find them and finish what he started.” Leo muttered bitterly.

“What about Galactic Enterprises?” Mikey suggested.

“It’s as good a place as any.” Raph declared.

Hisako turned to the mutants, wiping her eyes.

“Help us get the council out of here, and I promise we’ll help you.” she told them.

“You don’t even have to ask.” Tusks informed her.

The mutants spread out, each of them grabbing a council member from the rubble. All of them were in horrible shape, probably clinging to life themselves. Splinter’s eyes washed over them all, then he turned away as tears rolled down his snout.

“Come...” he said quietly. “It is time we leave this place.”

With nothing left to say, the group left the destroyed dojo, taking the counselors with them.

since i’m thinking about mtr pain rn lol, does mtc have a drama track that had instantly slain their stans where they stood???? it’s too early for nagosaka to have theirs, but bb had helter skelter, fp had loneliness tears and hope of a puppet, mtr had their 2nd battle album track, and mtc………..????
