STOP LIKING HIS OLD REF SHEET I TWEEKED MY RISE YUICHI DESIGN! I really only changed his face marks, gave him yellow eyes, and made his hair floof easier to draw. I think my favorite doodle on here is the one where I tried drawing Leosagi in Stan Sakai’s style. I had finally started reading the Usagi Yojimbo comics and absolutely became obsessed with them. 😂 Anyway, I’m also almost finished with Gram Gramp Miya’s new ref sheet so look out for that! Please feel free to ask anything about my ‘Two Usagis’ au. As long as it’s in my ask box I will answer it. ^^

A little explainer-graph for the difference between show Usagi and "rottmnt” Usagi because I think it’s interesting how different and similar they are :’D + the sketch and some “clean” versions of the image.

No shade on anyone making their own fandesigns and no shaming any specific designs, but these are differences and features i’ve noticed the most. I find them truly interesting, coming from smaller fandoms where this is common, but I guess as a fan it’s a bit sad so few see value in the show design ^^; But also, the fan designs can be fun sometimes and it’s really a mark of creativity that people have so many different ideas about one singular character.
