For I have learned trust,

And kindness,

I give my trust and am rewarded,

Expose my vulnerability again,

And accept the kindness offered.

I return that kindness,

Vocal in my emotions,

Showing pleasure in company,

Trust as I curl up to sleep.

Perhaps I am too scornful,

Watching with distrust,

As the young one struts about,

Yowling his demands,

Snapping at affection.

Foolish, I think,

Because he is like I once was,

Demanding on his terms

The care and kindness offered.

Not my concern.

He will learn as I did.

Something that I adore with the Little Nightmares games is how the characters are portrayed in a morally gray light.

I'm not a fan of some of the actions Six took throughout the story. Be it dropping Mono down the tower or eating the Nome. But I also could never find myself to be mad at her.

I can understand why Six dropped Mono. Her feeling betrayed after Mono had broken her music box and by extension her trust, even if it didn't seem that way to the boy.

Or why she ate the Nome. Six knew what the meat at the Maw was made off, but she didn't know that the Nomes were children as well.

These actions aren't good, in no sense, and they are painting Six in a darker light. However I understand why. The world that these kids are stuck in is horrible and they have to fight for any kind of survival.

It's also why I see some of Mono's actions as "wrong" too. Sure he destroyed the music box to try and save Six, but just because he thought this was the best thing to do, doesn't mean it was the thing she wanted.

These characters are all children and to pinpoint them as either pure evil or purely innocent is wrong. Sure Mono has done more heroic actions and Six has done some morally questionable ones, but that's OK.

They can't tell what's right and what's wrong. And I like that. I like that I cannot bring myself to hate any of these characters despite the horrible things they have done.

in which Yang fails to save Ruby from Neo and she falls first. she now has a slash scar across her body like sans undertale.

she's saved by the mouse village. meets little and, well, they're basically the Juniper to Ruby. maybe they still ascend and become Somewhat earlier

she comes to the same conclusion as yang and thinks she's dead. she doesn't use crescent rose anymore and instead forges what's left of Penny's sword once she's recovered it. OR. she duel wields. or switches between them idk

she becomes the... wilted rose? hollow warrior? lost reaper?? idk, these are names still in the workshop.

she wears a cloak with a hood that hides her entire face in darkness like in cartoons when she wears it and has a scar across her face for good measure because she tried to fight the cat earlier than in canon. her semblance evolves to the point where petals constantly float around her and her eyes now glow in the dark...

can you tell how much I've thought about this.

its been making me a little sad seeing the overwhelming hate towards rks from their OWN FANS recently. especially on their instagram. seems to be a completely foreign concept to some people that a band doesnt have to make the same thing over and over again until the end of time.

do i like their new songs as much as some of their old ones? no, but that,,, doesnt matter??? its not about me and what i like, its about them creating what they want to??? theres so many people out there that WILL love this music, they should be allowed to expand their genre and find those people

My point was that RK was kind of an in-universe Toriel for Darkners but he himself is not-  he himself may not be doing his job well. I wrote that old post to sound too sweet. I guess I kind of regret it (or not). The thing about RK is that he was Supposed to be like Toriel because it was His Job. But his personality didnt fit his role. Toriel from UT is essentially what RK was Supposed to be in Dark World of dtr but he .. neglects that role.

They essentially use the same “techniques” but whereas Toriel tries to help the player progress, RK tries to hinder the progress

idk if this has something to do with Toby Fox wanting to make dtr darker and more rude than undertale, so he flipped the role of the character that seems to be somewhat similar to the one in ut.

They are both tutorials. Yet Toriel is loyal, and RK switches sides. Toriel is lovable, RK is not (at least he was intended to be unlikable by the creator). Toriel is openly loving, RK denies his affections toward the one he supposedly cares for. Even at the end Toriel got in and stopped Asgore but RK ran away. Its almost amusing how much of the opposites those characters are in every way. Maybe RK was created to poke fun of the tutorial parts that used to be important in undertale.

I am well-aware that these are all not canon which honestly breaks my heart, but I am still very happy with the moments and bond and understanding they all have formed throughout their own show (except for AdriZoe, obviously... I admit that it’s only in my hcs, but the potential they had in my mind is the same reason I love what the other ships canonically have).

I know not all RobRae shippers like the others (I guess some are even Maiko lol), Zutarians probably like the Love Square and Filay while Klaybarra shippers just mind their own thing ig? Still, I heavily respect those people who has different opinions and tastes from mine (all canon couples from each show at least make sense, and I like some of them, in fact). 

However, I want to dedicate this post to all of them (probably could have included NS, but I have my own 11 hr playlist for them lol).

I’m so proud of my ships, because I love them, canonically or just in my hcs for the bond, understanding, and just downright healthy relationship they all have formed, endgame or not (I actually never wanted Klaybarra to be endgame in the novel, it could have been better if it’s in the real world, so don’t @ me by saying I want Ibarra to cheat on Maria Clara lol). There’s a difference between loving a ship and wanting them to be canon, thank you very much. There’s nothing wrong in enjoying the dynamic :)) 

I just love how all of them were broken and kindred souls who found comfort and refuge in another, and friends-to-lovers trope is just superior<333

I noticed an inconsistency with Abominations. When in the Brawl and Eclipse Lake Amity had her vial of Abomination goo. But in school and even Covention and Grom she didn't need one to make Abominations. Is it only for the Asthetic or do Abominations like live in the ground in certain places?

The thing about the Abominations Magic is that it's fairly unique when compared with the other tracks, because of the Abominations' own versatile nature. Abominations Magic isn’t only controlling the creature, it’s making the creature as well, shifting and maneuvering it to fit your current needs. 

How tall does the creature need to be? What does it need to do? Where does it need to be summoned in a fight? These are all questions the summoner has to have answers for before they even summon it! 

So the pouch is an assisting tool---a way to make it that much easier to get the stuff she needs on-hand and out into the open quickly. She doesn’t need it, per say, but having it full of unshaped Abominations goo gives her a headstart if she needs to think and act fast. That’s why her magic has clearly gotten more fluid over time; she’s not only following the expectations of what Abominations are, she’s developing her very own style for it. 

It's not that Abominations live in the ground, it's that she’s purposefully making them pop out of wherever she needs them to, which, I feel, is a very stylistic choice on her part, and it’s something she’s been doing since season one. She probably doesn’t have the pouch while at school, and maybe didn’t even have it at all yet in season one, but whenever she’s going somewhere that she knows there’s going to be a chance of fighting - the Brawl and Eclipse Lake - she brings it along with her because it’s helpful.
