I took my partner on a road trip to meet my mom. They wanted to go to Canada. We get to my house and it's not my house, but my friend's grandma's house wallpapered in the wrong colours. It's not my mom on the couch, but my aunt who passed away in 2020. I hadn't brought my partner, but their cousin, who I have only met once. For some reason it made more sense to me to go to South Carolina first before driving a few hours to see Canada.

thank you <333 i admit i'm a cartoon-watchin' casual but i see siblings or sibling-equivalents where the older one is "wake me up before you go-go" and the younger one is "wake me up (wake me up inside)" and i kind of go a little crazy.

my main exposure to the comics canon is mostly snips and bits a few pages at a time, basically osmotic exposure, so i'm hesitant to draw anything about jason beyond what is very blatantly an avatar unto which i'm projecting my own brother.

i'm uhhhh kind of allergic to super long serialized fiction, especially something like comics where there's no real end point and arcs can more or less continue indefinitely. i made the mistake of getting into homestuck when i was in hs and when that wrapped up i went "okay! i am NEVER getting into something Long And Ongoing ever again!" so i don't really do ongoing book series, tv shows, etc... i've been burned before getting invested in an ongoing story and then seeing the ending trash everything. i like short, punchy, self-contained little things, in this case episodic tv shows that mostly follow a "thing of the day" format and have already gone off the air. if i like something, i DON'T want more of it! hence my hesitant dancing around the behemoth hydra that is dc comics, occasionally poking it with a stick before running off again.

we've gotten off topic. uhhhhhh i think it was kind of funny that the whole reason jason ate it in the first place is because he lost a phone poll by a margin of less than 100 votes

turns out all i needed to enjoy death stranding was easy mode. i’ve tried to play it SIX times since it came out and was shitting my pants so much that i stopped around lake knot city and never got into the story. but now i’m cruising, reuniting the UCA one distribution center at a time

hii i’m looking for a fic that i read a little while ago, kurt goes on a cross country roadtrip to california to spread finn’s ashes in the ocean, and meets blaine (who is also driving to california) at some diner and after a bit they decide to take the rest of the trip together. it’s really heartwrenching as it deals with grief, but in a really beautiful way and kurt and blaine’s relationship is funny and sweet and very real feeling for their situation. i just can’t remember the name!!!
