RobinxOC

Robin is leader of the team in this fanfic

Rose jumped and rolled out of the way as ivy sent another plant barreling towards her feet. She was not having a hard time keeping up but it seemed as if the battle would never end between the two. Ivy and rose were pretty evenly matched. She has been working hard on and making progress on her powers. Although not able to completely control plants she has some sort of hold on them. Whatever force of nature ivy sent at rose she was easily able to send back or dodge. Except if she were to get distracted. And her concentration was broken upon hearing a familiar cry of pain. Her head snapped over to joker, who had Robin by the neck against against a nearby tree. Fear pounded at the back of her head. Although her and Robin seemed to be rocky with each other lately, him constantly ridiculing her in front of the team for mistakes. She couldn’t doubt the feelings she had for him that he most likely did not share. Her stupid schoolgirl crush, had her jumbling over her words when he is around, tripping over nothing and overall just embarrassing herself. She knew as the leader, Robin was smarter, the better fighter, and rarely made mistakes. In fact he always tried to boss her around, going as far as to make her sit out on certain missions. Which made the idea of him even liking her next to impossible. Why would he want to be around someone who is a liability to him. He sure has proved that with disappointed stares, and constant hovering during missions. He didn’t think she could handle herself. Was that why he was so mean to her? She was a new hero. Living on the streets for the last two years after her parents died was hard, but it taught her basic combat skills. She spent her days fighting off individuals whom tried to harm her. This was until Dinah caught her running from a grocery store bread in hand which resulted in the opportunity to learn and develop her powers and skills. She first joined the team with Artemis, who was hostile to her upon first meeting. She remembered the day she stepped through the zeta tube, Artemis Dinah and Oliver in tow. She remembers robins stupid little smirk and they way her heart fluttered when their eyes met through his sunglasses. Robin stared at her long enough to make her powers go haywire out of nervousness and she accidentally made roses bloom at Robins feet. This is why she’s called rose to everyone except Robin, who chooses to walk a different path and call her “flower”. Although Artemis’s skill set was the better of the two from the beginning she believed she has been making adequate improvements. Did Robin even think so? Or does he still see her as a fragile girl who ruins every mission they go on? Another grunt of pain from her right reminded her of the dire situation she was in. The overwhelming need to get to robin had her totally unconcerned about herself. Rose whipped her head at at Robins prone form once again, crumpled against the tree fighting desperately against the hands around his neck, that is all the time ivy needed to take her down. Rose fell to the ground with a thump, hitting her head against a stray root in the floor. Her ears rung, and she fought the urge to look back at Robin because she could hear the desperation in his wheezes and couldn’t stand it. A sensation that started at the bottom of her foot traveled up her body until she found she couldn’t move. Ivy’s plants tightened around her body like restraints, pulling her arms apart at her sides and squeezing her so tight she can hear her own rasping. Her eyes flickered around the circle of team members each fighting their own villain, they’d haven’t even noticed Gothams insane killer clown strangling their leader for fun. Her gaze moved once again to the Robin who made weak eye contact with her. She gasped as his half lidded eyes dropped close along with his hands which went limp twitched at his sides. Rose snapped. Her hands being held at her sides grew warm with power. Suddenly nothing was holding her down. She was now above ivy who seemed to have switched positions. Ivy groaned in confusion and sent a vine direc
