Ian knew this day would come but it still tugs at his chest to see it in the flesh. He's come home from a day of shopping only to find Mickey in bed with someone else.

"Mickey" Ian stands in the doorway, and watches as Mickey startles awake. "Why is he in the bed?"

"He wanted to sleep in here" Mickey mumbles, giving Baz a scratch between his ears.

"Does he have to sleep on my pillow? He's drooling on it"

"He likes your smell" Mickey pulls the covers back and gives the bed a pat "C'mon, room for more"

Wow, I was actually inspired to write for galladrabbles — I’m so used to just enjoying everyone’s creations from afar! @galladrabbles

But, here we go:

Room for More

Mickey didn’t think he had it in him to love anyone more. Ian had been an anomaly, Mickey’s lucky to have him, so how were kids a good idea? Mickey’s love had been doled out, it was all used on Ian, and Mickey liked it that way. He wasn’t willing to love Ian any less for some brat.

Except, it’s three in the morning and Mickey’s finally gotten their troublemaker to sleep. He whispers, “I love ya,” and he means it. And he knows he doesn’t love Ian less.

Which means Gallagher was right. There really was room for more.

Something undefinable flashes across Mickey's face before he snorts, smirk not quite reaching his eyes. "Think y'know the answer to that, Gallagher."

The sound of his surname cuts deeper than Mickey continuously complicating his job over silly snacks like-

Ian's heart sinks at the essentials stacked inside the box: milk, canned goods, fuckin' tampons for Mandy. At the energy bars bulging from his non-boyfriend's pockets that he'll undoubtedly scarf down in secret later, yet still have room for more.

He waits for Mickey to leave before fishing out a twenty and placing it inside the register.

This is my favorite time of year. Friends and family come to visit, eat good food, share and create memories. I find that there is always room for one more plate at the table, one more pour of wine in my glass, one more gift beneath the tree. So here's my prompt for the week!

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes

#please dont delete your accounts because of the AI crap. your art deserves more than being lost like that #if you have a good PC please glaze or nightshade it. if you dont or it doesnt work with your style (like mine) please start watermarking #use a plain-ish font. make it your username. if people can't google what your watermark says and find ur account its not a good watermark #it needs to be central in the image - NOT on the canvas edges - and put it in multiple places if you are compelled #please dont stop posting your art because of this shit. we just have to hope regulations will come slamming down on these shitheads#in the next year or two and you want to have accounts to come back to. the world Needs real art #if we all leave that just makes more room for these scam artists to fill in with their soulless recycled garbage #improvise adapt overcome. it sucks but it is what it is for the moment. safeguard yourself as best you can without making #years of art from thousands of artists lost media. the digital world and art is too temporary to hastily click a Delete button out of spite
