You want to know one of my favourite little details in RTTE that cracks me up every time?
In the episode Twintuition, when Viggo is interrogating Ruffnut, Ryker loses patience and knocks her cup of water over as he threatens 'Don't toy with us, girl'. If you look closely, the trajectory of that flying cup of water is headed straight for Viggo across the table. So either Viggo dodged for dear life or got drenched, both of which are hilarious mental images to me. Big Grimbro getting angry and soaking little Grimbro in the process.

So idk if the #HiccstridhadZephyrearlyAU (basically Hiccstrid havebZephyr during the events of RTTE) is even still a thing anymore but I wanted to make a contribution to it. Hope you enjoy.
Living on the edge was difficult, you didn't have any immediate support from anyone other than the people there with you, and a pretty good distance from........well anywhere. But it was ok, the riders and dragons made it work with what they had, and it was pretty peaceful, until it wasn't, until Astrid dropped a (metaphorical) bomb on Hiccup "I'm pregnant".
The next 7 and a half months was interesting, everyone worked to try and baby proof the Edge, while also trying to keep Viggo and Ryker at bay. Fishlegs was busy building baby things, cradle, toys, etc. Heather was tasked with helping Astrid with whatever she needed, even though Astrid said she didn't need any help she definitely appreciated it, especially when her stomach got so big she couldn't see her feet when she was going down the stairs. Snotlout was tasked with building railings around the various decks and ledges around the edge for when the baby started walking so it wouldn't just fall off the cliff, as well as making gates in front of all of the stairs, just a little extra touch. Hiccup was busy patrolling with the twins making sure everything was secure and safe, as well as checking on Astrid every chance he was able to. As for the twins, Tuff helped wherever it was needed, either helping Fishlegs build the baby things, or Snotlout build the railings, or helping Heather if it was needed. But the one who REALLY stepped up was Ruffnut. Hiccup was the first to notice, Ruff suddenly offering to do things she wouldn't normally do with no prompting, and was willing to drop whatever she was doing whenever Hiccup or Astrid called to her, including the ladder she was supposed to be holding for Snotlout, which he then fell off of.
Astrid started to notice soon after Hiccup did, Ruffnut's personality switch, and soon after so did the rest of the riders. It wasn't so much that she'd taken on more responsibility, they all had, but it was more the fact that she started taking everything more seriously than she normally would. Fishlegs was still acting like his normal self, considerate and gentle. Snotlout was still his normal self telling Astrid to shut up when she made a joke at his expense, but also telling her to be careful not to trip on the boards he has laying on the ground for the railings. Tuffnut was still cracking jokes and goofing around while he was helping with everything, but Ruffnut wasn't joking around or making quips as often, she still did it, but not as much as she normally would. If Astrid or Hiccup asked her to help them or someone else with something, she'd give a quick nod, or ask for clarification, then just go do what they asked, it was a little weird at first, but it made the parents to be all the more grateful that they had this big extended family that cared about their kid just as much as they did, Astrid even tiered up a bit, probably just because of the hormones but still. But it wasn't until one night that showed how much Ruffnut had really stepped up.
That's what I have so far, I'll make a second part I promise but I want to know how you guys like this. Don't forget to repost and comment, see if we can get the #HiccstridhadZephyrearleyAU going again.

Ruffnut: So I was thinking of abducting you and stuffing you in my basement as my husband. What say you? 😏
Throk: Funny you should ask, I was going to ask the same thing. Apparently, Lady Astrid seems angry when I told Lord Hiccup about it. 🤔
Ruffnut: It's fine, it's fine~! She's just not into that hardcore stuff as we are~! 😉
Throk: So is that a 'yes', then? 🤨
Ruffnut: Of course, Throky-poo! But since I'm a woman, naturally, I'll stuff YOU into MY basement FIRST!!! 😈

Dragons Race to the Edge season 1 episode ranking
I have begun rewatching Rtte for the first time in several years and thought that I may as well rank the episodes in each season for fun as I watch. After I finish the series I will rank my top ten favourite episodes. I have to say that despite the animation quality being nowhere close to the beauty of the movies the show does a really good job for the budget it's given to work with. Especially with the expressive character animation and the accuracy to how the dragons move and fly to the movies. The show also has a great sense of humor, dare I say funnier than the movies. I would 100% recommend watching if you haven’t because there will be spoilers within the ranking. Also I'm ranking two part episodes together.
Although I think next time I do an rtte episode ranking I'll just do bullet points for the likes and dislikes of each episode because my sentences are kind of repetitive and this took longer then I would have liked.
11. Quake, Rattle and Roll (episode 9)
To be clear I don’t despise this episode at all I just think it's kind of boring. I have to admit that Fishlegs is my least favourite of the main six so an episode following him is usually not my favourite. I was more entertained by the subplot about the twins attempting to be responsible but failing miserably. Random thing I realized while watching the episode: the watch tower the twins built kept disappearing because I always assumed it collapsed from instability but then I realized the gronckles who were running away from Dark Deep to The Edge could have been eating it. Since you know it was made of rocks.
10. Big Man on Berk (episode 5)
The highlight of this episode was definitely Snotlout having a huge crush on Thor Bonecrusher but other than that I feel as though the Bonecrusher shenanigans could have been funnier and that the third act in the storm lasted a little too long. Side note but from what I had remembered from the last time I watched the episode I thought the Fishlegs just hit his head really hard and became Thor Bonecrusher but nope. Instead the instant they suspected he was harboring an allergy towards Meatlug without actually testing it they went straight to attempting to hypnotize the allergies right out of him. With Snotlout subsequently telling Fishlegs’ unconscious to become what is essentially the viking era equivalent to an alpha male.
9. Total Nightmare (episode 13)
This one isn’t the best ‘Snotlout learns a valuable lesson’ episode, don’t get me wrong it's still decent at what it does. The way that Snotlout and Hookfang defeat the titan wing monstrous nightmare was neat and it was interesting seeing Snotlout be so soul crushed about Hookfang seemingly leaving.
8. Gone Gustav Gone (episode 6)
Overall it is a decent episode. I liked Gustav’s dynamic with Dagur for the short time it lasted and I liked how Hiccup and Gustav worked together to trick Dagur. But I feel like the other riders were overreacting about how bad Gustav is. He’s annoying yes but half the things he did were not his fault during the montage of being with each of the other riders.
7. Dragon Eye of the Beholder pt 1 and 2 (episode 1 and 2)
I feel like it might be a bit of an unpopular opinion to rank this two parter so low but honestly in my opinion Dragon Eye of the Beholder is kind of just ok. It’s a decent way to reintroduce the characters and get the plot rolling. I enjoyed pt1 more as the exploration of the abandoned ships and the eventual confrontation with Dagur was more entertaining than attempting to obtain the snow wraith tooth in pt2.
6. Imperfect Harmony (episode 3)
Again, this episode was decent. I hate how much I’m using that word to describe episodes but that's kind of what season 1 of rtte is: a bunch of 6/10 episodes. I liked the speech Hiccup gave to the berk council and the support his dad showed him. I enjoy it when they do episodes where hiccup is on his own, left with only his wits to save everyone. That's kind of it for this one. Oh and I think the Deathsong is a really adorable cannibal.
5. When Darkness Falls (episode 4)
A really fun episode. It's just about the usual shenanigans from this group that you would come to expect from finding an Island to set up base at between Hiccup having to act like a tired father to try and get everyone to stop fighting over what the island outpost should look like to the night terror introduction  to Tuffnut being well… tuffnut. Bonus points because Chicken makes her debut.
4. Crushing It (episode 8)
This episode does an amazing job of building up to the introduction of a new species of dragon. I liked Hiccup and Stoic bonding over finding the elusive dragon and how you can see in Stoic’s eyes how impressed he is with his son’s leadership skills.
3. Reign of the Fireworms (episode 7)
Episodes that focus on the twins always have top tier comedy writing and this one is no exception. The whole concept of them becoming rulers of literally anything is doomed to go wrong so I love the escalation of how bad things get from the ridiculous rules and roles to everyone getting thrown in ‘jail’, especially with the fireworm migration added on top of the usual chaos.
2. The Next Big Sting (episode 12)
I can’t say why I love this episode so much but I do. I love watching the origins of Hiccup's flight suit and how the first five minutes is just hiccup throwing himself off a cliff and hoping for the best. I kind of like it when hiccup is being the irresponsible one in the group for once (I mean it was only irresponsibility over his own life but still) and the banter between him and Astrid that comes out of it. Onto the actual plot all the speed stinger stuff was really interesting especially the discovery of their adaptation and how the speed stinger the gang saved bonded with them for a short time.
Have Dragon, Will Travel parts 1 and 2 (episode 10 and 11)
I have a lot of nostalgia for this story because it was my first ever introduction to the httyd franchise. Back when my family had cable I was flipping through the kids channels when I stumbled upon Have Dragon, Will Travel pt1 playing. Even though I had absolutely no context to the characters or the dragons I was instantly enthralled by the mystery of the rogue dragon rider. It drove me crazy with curiosity for weeks about what happened to Heather when the network didn’t play pt2 right after pt1 finished airing and instead moved on to the next show. I blame Heather for the fact that I went through a phase in my early teen years of creating female OCs with black hair and mysterious, tragic backstories. I had thought Heather was the coolest for the longest time but now after revisiting the episode I have to say I realized Heather doesn’t quite have the levels of emotional maturity that I thought she did as a kid. That's not to say I don’t like her anymore, I still do really enjoy her character. I just see her through a different lens now. Some of my favorite things about this episode is the initial tracking down and reveal of Heather, how far Heather was willing to go for the sake of her revenge mission (I genuinely forgot how morally grey she was at the beginning), how the Heather and Astrid bonding made me realize how little we see female characters bonding when it is a more action/ adventure storytelling medium and I liked how much Hiccup cared about Heathers well being and how much he was willing to do for her.

Crack au about Jason being back from the dead + Tim being adopted before
Jason, back from the dead: don’t be alarmed I am not a ghost
Tim, on an hour of sleep: that is exactly what a ghost would say
Jason, raising on eye brow: okay fair but would a ghost do this *punches Tim in the shoulder hard*
Tim, holding his shoulder, in anger: YOURS WOULD!
