it's funny how you stopped at the racist asian joke when smii7y and the rest have made black jokes wayy before that. they have defo made some asian jokes before (bing chilling is the most recent i can remember)

but then again, that's your opinion/feelings and i understand how you feel about the jokes. I'm asian as well.

hi thank you for your anon! i was sitting on it so i could see if i could watch any of their videos again. and i could, kind of. but yeah as you've brought up the black jokes and the other asian ones have soured much more than they had before and they were most definitely present before.

i do find it difficult to watch things that are in a group now lmao, i've been sticking to the solo videos, so that i know i don't run the risk of hearing something thats now like fully microaggression territory in my head. and i know ! there's always discourse on dark humour etc but yeah. the mario kart video really ripped the carpet from my feet and i just find their group videos unpalatable now.

the ones from before i could take with good humour mainly because i only watched the eli/flom/tucker videos so there werent as many black jokes? i think the warzone ones had a few but i didn't usually watch those. and i can take an asian joke from an asian man so it never hit wrong i guess? but yeah it definitely feels odd now when smiity adds to a race joke which - circles back to me only watching solo videos now.

im removing the mayoi (frogs in caves) bc i dont like how satori and its aesthetic was turned from something mysterious and otherwordly to yet another collectable-

so im turnign the frog idea into a single thing living in the underground as a counterpart to satori itself- perhaps it resides in a giant tree growing from the ceiling bc i ASLO didnt like how there was that at first cool looking underground tree with all the rumis (rabbit things) but then it was quite literally nothing (again)

this idea is pretty new so i am still working on the details, im all ears for suggestions :P

i find it really funny that from what i recall peter really started referring to rumi/elana with they/them pronouns after episode 11, which i’ve chosen to interpret as rumi actually deciding to sit down and explain it to peter before they had biblically accurate androgynous sex so that peter wouldn’t get freaked out or anything.

peters just ends up being like, ‘oh. ok! i love you for you rumi, no matter how or who that may be ^^!’

and rumi, the changeling shapeshifter with identity issues, just has to try not to cry for a second while peter is just like. sitting there before rumi practically tackles him in a kiss.

and then bam baby it’s all history from there. and peter just switches pronouns for rumi after that like it was always meant to be like that.

The Overlord technically 'healed' most of her injuries when he reanimated her but he didn't plan for her to survive for very long. Her legs (crushed by the debris) give out beneath her sometimes. The 'X' over her chest is a mech that lets her fight even in those instances. Also it looks cool.

I’m soooo obsessed with Rumi. A ‘steal from the rich give to the poor’ idealist with delusions of grandeur and a god complex, extremely prideful and extremely possessive, with enough wrath to make them interesting. Someone who is so inherently selfish with selfless goals and ambitions, who tries to spread hope and positivity in a bleak world and puts himself on a pedestal for it. The first one to advocate for peace, admonishing needless violence, but also finds a thrill in commanding people, and will gleefully indulge in violence to the extreme for who he cares about. He thinks that in spreading hope, more people will believe in him, thus making him a god, and he wants to kill the true gods of this world to give the people the power for themselves and right what he sees as an imbalance - but he’s an egoist and a bit of a Freak about it.

it will never not amaze me how the jrwi boys play WILDLY different characters in each campaign

like charlie plays a paladin fish who is overconfident and easily gullible, but atthe same time he plays a pathetic teenage boy who despite being tired of being the smart one— would fucking die for his friends. and ontop of that he played a fucked up Guy who wouldve gotten shoved in lockers in highschool who has a lizard and a Posession.

do not get me started on bizly playing a tricky and charismatic bastard with a haunting past and a neverending bond with two people he met under Strange circumstances, while playing a robotic and gory tortured suit of armor who will kill anything in his path. and he plays a stoner who would shit his pants if he saw a fucking bear!

and condi?? plays a literal girlboss with so much damn respect for the world and nature around her while still being a badass with a fucking GUN. he plays a confused teenage elf boy who is a rebellious genuine murderer. he played a god damn pushover lawyer who KICKS ASS and gets high off shiitake mushrooms.

grizzly. oh my God grizzlyplays. he plays a mysteriously charming bard with an aspiration to only make the world fair through theft. he plays a stoner prettyboy bisexual rockstar with a terrifying calmness to him as he watches birds splatter on his car. he plays a god damn rambunctious undiagnosed autistic teenager with an insatiable appetite who refuses to kill and stands by it.

thats. insane to me? and the npcs these guys make, oh my god. i am literally in love with most of the prime defenders npcs (come on. lightspeed? how do you not love her) and every god damn riptide npc has more personality and life than i could even muster. blood in the bayou? more like! holy fuck! rat! my boy! becky jrwi! kisses her! and ill god damn say it worm boy from apotheosis deserves more

working on a master post of what all the main characters of every jrwi campaigns entity would be from the magnus archives. it’s still a work in progress because i haven’t finished apotheosis, prime defenders, and i haven’t started the fated, but here’s what i’ve got so far:

riptide

gillion: vast/buried/slaughter (vast because of sky n sea, lightning, creatures beyond comprehension such as leviathans/titans/deities, buried because of sea, pressure to be the chosen one, great and suffocating expectations, slaughter because of war, his willingness to kill, his love of fighting, his purpose and upbringing as a weapon)

chip: desolation/lonely (desolation because fire powers/motifs, loss of all things he’s ever loved over and over again, burned someone’s house down, lonely because of his like. everything.)

jay: hunt (is a ranger, hunters mark, obsessed with hunting down the people that killed her sister and exacting vengeance, etc)

prime defenders

william: end (literally has ghost powers, will be able to give more reasons once i watch it)

dakota: idk, haven’t gotten a good read on him yet, maybe hunt?? he likes fighting a lot

vyncent: no idea, have even less of a read on him than dakota, i’ve only watched the first five episodes lol

blood in the bayou

rand: flesh/stranger/spiral (won’t give too many reasons to avoid spoilers but flesh because of body horror, stranger because of what happened to his sister and his obsession w the cult afterwards, although you could also argue spiral because of the state of his mental health)

rolan: CORRUPTION. EASILY (those who have listened know why lmao)

kian: honestly don’t know, maybe spiral? or eyes because he constantly feels like he’s being watched so

apotheosis

peter: the eye/slaughter (i feel like the eye works better for peter, and the slaughter for whatever the angels name is, but won’t say anything else cuz i’m not finished and also spoilers)

rumi: web maybe? idk what his whole deal is but i’ve got my eye on him. i’ll update this later

thanatos: either the end or slaughter for like. obvious reasons.

i’m open to interpretation with these, and would love to hear others thoughts! just please avoid spoilers both for myself and for any others who haven’t caught up/been able to watch certain series ^^ i’ll post the full list once i’ve got a better read on certain characters and finished some campaigns as well!
