You know I try to find interesting homes, and this 1976 traditional brick home definitely has a vibe in Belton, Missouri. Someone in my home group commented that it's unexpectedly Goth, and she wants to meet the "groovy weirdos" who lived here. It has 3bds, 4.5ba and is listed for $1.8M, which is kind of a questionable price b/c it needs updating. Take a look.
You enter directly into the large space, emphasis on the tile floor.
To the right are closets, to the left, stairs, and straight ahead is the living room. I guess you can decorate this a little.
The living room has a medieval castle vibe, especially with the lighting. Did you notice that they painted the fireplace gray outside?
Behind these folding doors is a wet bar. You would think that the doors behind it would open to the kitchen, but they don't.
They open to a large home office. Nice shelving. I guess if you don't need an office it can be library or den.
The kitchen's big and not bad, except that I don't care for those 4 lamps on the overhanging exhaust. One thing that really dates a kitchen, though, is a mid-century modern desk area.
Nice brick wall w/built-in ovens.
On the other side of the brick wall is an everyday dining room.
The main bedroom is gigantic with a fireplace, a wall of closets, and and open en-suite bath.
Just walk thru the curtained archway. The foil paper is a little too shiny.
Down in the basement is a family room, castle-like stone arches and a big bar. I like the green paint.
Built-in terra cotta wine rack.
Basement guest powder room.
Funky red basement kitchen.
The house has a patio, pool, and 29 acres of land.
