detailed summary: You weren’t living such a great life. Your husband had turned his back towards you and was drowned in his addiction to drugs, not giving any mind to what’s happening in the world around him. You knew you couldn’t stay with him, and let him continue ruining your life. So at the next moment you get, you free yourself from him and get a divorce, finally having a chance to breathe.

You were now alone with your toddler, and you knew you had to give her a life which seems perfect even without her father. She became your best friend, your whole world, your favorite person ever. Sage was a spitting image of you, a little enthusiastic kid but very clear at heart.

As much as you tried, you always felt the lack of another parent in Sage’s life. Even though she never showed it, a big smile always on her face as she was always playing around your house, you knew it was best she had two loving parents. But you were so busy with your job, and taking care of her, you never had a chance to go out on your own.

But then, almost like a hurricane, Rafe Cameron walked into your life. He occupied your mind like nothing else, and as you saw Sage loving his company more and more, you fell more for him, and he was very lovingly married into your family.

You never knew love can come knocking down your door at such odd times, when you had your child and no one seemed to take interest in you. But Rafe did. He loved you both with his entire heart, and changed your entire perspective on love.

@thekillingmoonmoon ofc moon is the first one i think when the topic "best writers" come up, i freaking love her and everything she does its not even fair to pick one thing so im picking 3, this super passionate toji work that i re-read at an alarming frequency (which btw i consider my own personal gift). yakuza choso and yuki aka the hottest duo ever. the cherry on top is her kishibe series (just realized i gotta catch up on)

@rinhaler - luxe is def on my top 3, she comes up with very organic scenes. even if it's a simple plot she can develop it so originally. I recently read her underground fighter!sukuna and i'm still thinking about it.

@laudthingcat has the best headcanons in the jjk fandom hands down, it’s the perfect dose of hot funny and cute, pick anything from her masterlist it’s guaranteed you’ll have a good time reading it. when you moan their name in your sleep in particular gives me butterflies

@meownotgood is obviously the best aki writer out there, you can see the love for aki in their words and how they write him so well and so into character. arrival in tokyo is truly a masterpiece, they also have a +100k words series i've been wanting to read for a while but i want to rewatch chainsaw man first hehe, i'm 100% sure is fire tho.

@kentoangel roma writes choso like she's in love with him and you can tell. shes always on my for you and even her snippets are *chefs kiss* special kudos to stepbrother!choso

@kentopedia i just realized i'm assigning a writer per character and nanami is definitely rylie's. the domestic lovely way she writes him makes me forget canon.

@tojisun another blog that is very often on my for you page. cannot talk about toji fics without bringing up sun, everything she writes about him has me furiously nodding. not to mention simon and konig, just talking about them makes me wanna run to her blog and binge read everything

@chocochipsushi 's bodyguard toji is unforgetable to me, i wish i lost my memory so i could read it all again for the first time. bodyguard toji is the definition of living rent free in my mind, whenever i have to deal with annoying coworkers i immediately think “bodyguard toji would not allow them to talk to me like that”

@suget one of the greatest geto writers for sure, they have so many geto works, i was going through their blog to find the one i read more recently and there was so many others i haven’t seen! another writer i could very easily spend a whole day binge reading. btw this cult leader one was recommended to me and i fell in love with it <3

rylie sat outside conte forum as she waited for will to get out of practice

she held onto her arms, rubbing them as she anxiously tapped her foot

she had dried tears on her cheeks from crying on the speed walk over here

she wanted to be in her boyfriends arms so bad.

she sat up a bit, putting her hands on either side of her as players started filing out of the arena

when she saw will, she popped up and made her way over to him

he was talking with his teammates and smiled big when he saw her

this was a surprise, rylie doesn't normally come meet him outside conte after practice

she wrapped her arms around his waist as soon as he was close enough, hugging him tight

"hey you," he mumbled in her hair as he hugged her back "what a nice surprise"

rylie didn't respond, only continued holding onto will tight

"where have you been all day?" he asks her

when she couldn't find the words to answer, will pulled back slightly to look at her

"you okay?" he asks softly

she blinked fast to stop tears from falling and sniffled, shaking her head

will gave his teammates a look as if to say "i'll see you later", and they walked off

"talk to me, what happened?"

rylie sniffled again, setting her head back on his chest

"i don't wanna talk about it here." she says quietly

"want to go to my place?" will asks softly

rylie nods her head

"okay"

he continues to stand and hold her for a few more moments, knowing she needs it

"let's go baby" he finally says, keeping his arm around her as they begin walking

once back at wills, he sits down on his bed and motions for rylie to join him

she gets comfortable, tucked into wills side with her head on his chest and her arms around him

"what happened, hmm?" he asks softly, running his hand up and down her back

rylie stays silent for a few moments before speaking

"owen.." she says barely above a whisper

will tenses at the mention of a boys name being the reason his girlfriend is upset

"what'd he do?"

a tear falls from rylies eye and lands on wills shirt

"h-he k-kissed me."

wills hand on her back stops moving

"he what??"

she sniffles, "he t-tried to.. o-or he did. briefly. it happened so fast."

she sits up a bit and looks at will with a wobbling lip and anxiety filling her face

"he kissed me i didn't kiss him i swear it just happened but i didn't do anything back it just.. IT WAS ALL HIM-" she starts anxiously rambling

"hey hey shh, shh" will gathers her back in his arms and resumes the back rubs "i know i know i believe you, it's okay. i know you didn't do anything, baby."

he speaks softly, trying to keep her calm and remain calm himself

"can you tell me what all happened?" he asks

rylie nods

"we were just working on our project. we took a little break and started talking about random things. at one point he laughed at something i said and put his hand on my knee,"

will takes a deep breath at that, but let's her continue

"i didn't want to make things weird so i just moved back a bit as if i was adjusting my sitting position so he would take his hand away. i felt uncomfortable after that so i tried to get us to go back to work, and that's when he did it. he just.. leaned in and did it."

she looks up at will, "i wasn't even saying anything to hint at anything to make him want to do that.. i-i don't know what provoked him o-or anything.. i.. i don't know" she stutters over her words a bit

"i believe you ry, okay? you don't have to worry about that. did you tell anyone? a professor, or.."

she shakes her head, "there was no one else around, at least not that i saw. i ran out so fast after it happened and came straight to you."

she sniffles as more tears fall

"a-are you mad at me?"

will shakes his head and cradles her head against his chest

"no, of course not baby. i am not mad at you, you did nothing wrong. this was all him, not you, so don't even think i'm mad at you, okay?"

rylie nods her head, "o-okay."

will was trying so hard to keep his composure

he didn't want to explode in front of rylie, especially not in the state that she's in

"i'm gonna have a talk with him." will says as he holds his girlfriend

rylie shakes her head, "will.. i don't want to drag this out or you to get in trouble."

"i'm not gonna get in trouble, ry. if anyone is going to get in trouble it's going to be him. he can't just do this and get away with it, and i don't want him to think he can keep doing it. he knows you're with me, and even if you weren't he shouldn't be doing something like that without your consent. someone needs to do something and it's going to be me. it'll be alright, okay?"

rylie hesitates, but nods

"okay. just.. be careful with it."

"i will, promise."

after a few moments of silence, will spoke again

"you are not gonna keep working with him. talk to your professor or i can if you want, but you can't keep working with him."

"and tell my professor what? that i don't want to keep working on our partner project together because my partner tried to pull a move on me? that's humiliating."

"it's not. this isn't your fault, baby. and i don't want you to be around him anymore, especially not by yourself. i can't trust him, and you shouldn't either."

"i know." she whispers and sighs, "i hate this." her voice cracks

wills heart aches at her words

"i'm sorry baby. i'm so, so sorry. we're gonna work through this and it's all going to get better, okay? i've got you, i'm here."

the following day, will walks into the building that rylie and owen have been working on their project in

he waited outside of the classroom for people to leave, and walked in when just owen was left

"i need to have a word with you." will says as he walks in

at the sound of his voice, owen turns around

he scrunches his eyebrows together, "me? about what?"

"don't play stupid. you know who i am, and you know why i'm here."

owens cheeks turn red at wills words

"no, i don't." he says as he tries to go back to work

will moves closer and pushes his work aside

"yeah, you do. you kissed my fucking girlfriend. without her consent. you know exactly what you did, and so do i, so don't even try to lie about it."

owen shrugs, "what can i say? was just taking a page out of will smiths book, butter up my class partner. that's how you got her to go out with you no?"

will barely thought about his next move before he did it, grabbing a fistful of owens shirt in his hand

"no. that's not what i did. and she's not your partner, not anymore. she's finishing the project on her own, or i'll help her with it, but you're not going to. understand?"

"so are you going to tell our professor that, or?"

"yeah, if i have to i will. and i'll make sure you don't go near her again either."

will pushes him back as he releases his shirt

"you better fuckin' apologize to rylie for what you did, and mean it."

owen chuckles a little

"what's funny?"

"how am i supposed to apologize to her if i can't go near her, hmm?"

"don't be a dick." will says, growing pissed off

"or what? you want to hit me with your hockey stick?"

"not a bad idea, is it. i'll keep it in mind." will says

he walks towards the door

"stay the hell away from her," will says as he points his finger at owen "i'll know if you don't."

he slams the door shut and walks off

rylie stayed the night with will that night

"i have so much work to get done by myself now." she huffs as she lays on wills chest

"i'll help you with it babe, don't worry."

"will, i love you but you can't do art"

"it doesn't matter, i'll still help you. in any way i can. it'll be okay." he says as he kisses her head

"k.." she sighs "i just can't believe he had no remorse for what he did when you confronted him.. i thought we were friends."

will rubs her back, "he's an asshole, there's nothing else to it. did you talk to your professor?"

rylie nods her head, "i didn't get into detail, just told her it's for the best if i finish alone and she said it was fine. she doesn't need to know what happened."

will sighs, "ry.."

"i don't want to bring anyone else into it, will. you know and you're the only person who needs to know. i just want to move on."

"okay, i understand." he says softly and kisses her head "this will never happen again, and i'll make sure of it. i love you."

"i know you'll make sure of it," she leans her head up and kisses his jaw "i love you."

Happy 20th Anniversary, Danny Phantom!

so this took me longer than a week (which is fine! Full time job pains)

This show is the very reason I started to get into original characters and storytelling. While I get it wasn’t the ‘greatest show’, it kicked off so much for me which includes making one of my favorite OCs ever, Rosalie/Rylie.

This show is the reason I found a group of friends that are still talking to this day, who listened to all my wild ideas. For the very first time in my life, I flew cross country just to meet them. It was such a fun experience that I’d never forget.

All in all, I’m really grateful to Danny Phantom for launching me into the art space and allowing me to be creative in so many fun and exciting ways. Even now, in 2024, I’m still drawing in the style I studied for years all the way back then.

Anyways, please enjoy a Danny, Hannah (my old fan character), Sam and Tucker casually dropping out of a ghost portal back into Amity Park!
