Hi I'm new to Tumblr. I joined because I wanted to learn more about astro and generally all things witchy. On a journey of self discovery.

Eclipse season is quite shifty and I've been hearing that I shouldn't manifest anything in this time. Is it okay to cleanse and re-energize crystals. Also, with the eclipse season my body feels off especially my head, it feels like I have to remind myself to breathe. I'm basically like spraying essential oils or lighting incense to relax me. But I feel like using sage would do the trick but that feels more ritualistic because I usually say what I want as I burn it. Is using sage okay?

Eclipse season can indeed bring about intense and shifting energies. Many practitioners choose not to manifest during this time, but it’s important to remember that your practices should accommodate you and what feels right.

On the other hand, cleansing and re-energizing your crystals is generally considered a grounding and centering practice. It’s a way to maintain the purity of your tools and keep them in sync with your energy. So, you’re on the right track with cleansing them.

In terms of your temporary fogginess, using sage for cleansing is perfectly okay as these very personal rituals can be as elaborate or as simple as you prefer. You can absolutely use sage for cleansing without any specific incantations, tools, or actions if that feels more comfortable to you. The most important thing is to find what resonates with you and brings you a sense of peace, whether that be something ���traditional’ like sage or rosemary for cleansing as opposed to, for example, my preference for lemongrass (I personally feel it helps to cleanse my mental energy and helps me focus, hence my personal connotation of lemongrass with cleansing my personal space). In a nutshell, do what feels right for you.

Eclipse season does affect people differently, and feeling off or needing calming rituals like essential oils and incense is quite common. Ultimately, your spiritual path should be a source of comfort and empowerment, so do what feels right for you.

This morning's meditation practice called for a bit of cleansing practice and clearing negative energies. I have so unwell the past month and have been so frustrated with my body that it just can't seem to get over this hump. Surrendering is not my strong suit and I always want to fight it. This week, I decided to just let it be. I didn't fight how crappy felt or how difficult every single breath was and how painful every cough was. I let the frustration and emotions come and go. I stopped worrying and wondering about when I will finally be back to my normal healthy self. I didn't work like a mad woman. I slept. I took naps. I rested. I am still not yet well but I am a bit better. And I know good health will eventually come. The change of pace - especially when that's unexpected, unwanted and unplanned for - can be particularly unnerving. When we are called to slow down, rest, take it easy when there are so many things that are waiting to get done.
