  I applied to a full-time job two Fridays ago. A few of the benefits in the package are lots of medical related benefits, Sundays and Mondays off, base salary + commission, and opportunities to grow in the company. The interview was last Wednesday. I was surprised the manager even responded to my LinkedIn message, which I sent after applying. (Big shoutout to @saintlaurentproblems for the advice!) I honestly think it went well and I feel a little hopeful. The only thing, though, is that the company is not affiliated with fashion. It’s an art gallery, and a rather unique yet vibrant and (in the words of the manager) "funky" one! The art sold there is incredible!!!! 😍 Most everything is mixed media. I stated that I have a bachelor’s degree in art and am currently working online towards receiving a master’s degree in fashion marketing, and, although it’s not fashion, the pay, I hope, will be livable salary and the benefits are super nice. Those are already convincing enough for me to want to quit my part-time job if I am offered this position.   I am honestly so nervous and scared. I really want this job! There’s a lot of reasons why, but the main one is the salary: If it’s livable, meaning I can move out and support myself financially, then I’m taking it. I want my own place to call home, to decorate for the holidays, to have friends hang out at, etc. The more unsuccessful I am at finding a (high) salary job (preferably in the fashion industry beyond assistant manager) and therefore have to keep living at home, the more depressed, frustrated, and anxious I become. And embarrassed. I literally cannot fucking take it here anymore! Sorry for the negativity, but I just needed to let that out. 

I hope this job will be the one.

OMG Jessie! I was actually a screener for The New Mutants! I saw it as a trainwreck from the beginning but I remember some gave it a chance and good reception because there was no special effects yet and they think it will improve upon adding. But the story was so lackluster and the characters flat that I couldn't see how special effects could save it!

As for Harry being overhyped and made bigger than what he actually is.

In my opinion he is overhyped because the media, which I'm sure is prompted by his excellent pr team, hails him as a second-coming of whichever legend they want to compare him at the moment. Again I do like some of his songs and I do believe the man has potential, but I don't think of him as BIG yet. Most of my circle and my extended circle are very in tune with pop culture and gossip. I would say only two of them are real harries and they are very intense, acting as with most of his fans in terms of protectiveness and trying hard to promote him to your face. Some others follow and like him enough but aren't ride or die for him and even agree he isn't there yet and or he's made to be bigger than what he is at the moment. Even incredibly scandalized watermelon sugar won a grammy. Again I know his fans think he doesn't need pr or doesn't gain anything from all this, but literally so many of my friends have only started knowing or becoming more familiar with him because of this relationship no matter their personal feelings towards it. A year ago there was barely any Harry talk in any of my gc. A few gossip here and there or updates as he was going into acting. This year however, there's always holivia talk here and there. And in my own personal opinion, every one of these BIG artist did a lot of media courting and pr to get there. I will be honest, as someone who wasn't into One Direction, I always heard about Harry because he was a tabloid darling. It was never as forceful or obviously staged like this one, but he was out there in the gossip world at least. When 1D ended I barely saw any tabloid talk about him and I was lukewarm on his first album so I didn't have a lot to keep up with him. What I will say is he has one of the most intense and passionate fanbase out there and maybe that's how he is able to seem bigger than what he is. It' also to his advantage because he always inspires passionate conversation about him despite imho being so average in practically any way. The only thing I see where he excels above everyone else is that he is no doubt a charming and charismatic guy; which I believe also helps elicit passion in people towards him and make him bigger than what he actually is. And imho despite what his fans believe, it was by no accident Fine Line has a few radio friendly songs and rode the wave of pop culture going the 70s/80s route. So unlike his fans, I never really saw the album being risky at all, he has always played it safe to me. Even with SOTT, I did see at as a risk in some way but it also felt obvious to me he was going for a certain image and that song would solidify that.

As for pop culture blogs, you know what I realize so many became inactive over the years. And sometimes I have to follow specific fan accounts to get info!
