I have dozens of blocked blogs now who messaged me about wanting "money for their poor starving families" or whatever. And at this point really no one can argue that it isn't just spam scammers. It's so nefarious to use an actual humanitarian crisis to guilt trip people into giving money.

If you get a message like that and feel bad, please just look up actual funds and donate money to them.

#there are probably a few actual gazan people on here looking for donations #but they aren't the ones sending out dms en masse to random users #even I feel bad and mostly just block them instead of reporting #which I only do when I get the exact same message sent twice in a row #which has happened before #more than once
