Heads up, in case you've seen the VAs tweets.

I'm the one who informed Reed, Davis, and Kat about the whole situation with users [EDIT 9/1/24, 9:20PM EST: sending anonymous asks and making blogs] planning to send documents to the VAs to complain about harassment in response to the post [EDIT 9/1/24, 9:20PM EST: by Alex] about the harassment. I informed the VAs because I moderate for many of them, and for TSBS on Discord, so I wanted to be sure they were prepared and not confused if someone tried to message them. I also did it to ask what should be done about the topic being brought up on their Discords (as they are not involved in that situation/it is not relating to TSBS or their personal content, it will be removed).

Neither Alex, Ceph, Dana, Witchy, etc. interacted or sent them anything since they posted the documents - they said they're not interacting with the situation anymore, and they are sticking to that. Just so we are clear.

Moon IS the villain. If he (the others included) wants to be better, he and the others NEED to look back on their own actions and realize that they all fucked up one way or another. Look at Nexus.

He used to be a goofy, silly, sweet guy when he first came to be. But ever since he learned about Moon and his misdeeds, he felt intense pressure to be better than him. He felt like he had NO other choice but to be the better Moon. He felt like he couldn't be himself; he was just a better version of Moon in his own eyes at first.

Nexus may say he was always a villain, but he wasn't. He was just a guy who was brought to life to fix his predecessor's mistakes.

It doesn't excuse him for mistreating everyone else and wanting to hurt/use/kill them, but what the Celestials are failing to do is realize that Nexus snapped for a good reason and not going back to the beginning to try and understand why he became the way that he is, like Sun and Moon failed to do with Eclipse, not once, but FOUR times.

Earth tried to understand where Eclipse came from, but she didn't do that with Nexus, even though she could have taken a look at Sun and Moon’s channel to see where the brother she essentially grew up with was starting to go downhill.

Yes, Nexus refused help, but if Earth wanted to get to the bottom of his behavior, she could have conducted her own investigation. Both her AND Sun could have done this before confronting him in LAES.

But they didn't.

Whether we viewers like it or not, the Celestials failed one of their own. Even Solar jumped to killing Nexus as the only option despite being awfully close with him, probably more than anyone else.

Think about that.

Yknow with so many villains, with so many people who hate them, do you think Sun and Moon and Lunar ever stop to wonder if they're the problem? If they're secretly the villains?

They're the reason Eclipse is even, if they had treated him with kindness he wouldn't have been, Solar is proof of that. They're the reason Bloodmoon exists, after all if Moon never left the killcode with Sun none of it would have happened. Nexus, their brother, driven away by mistreatment and his breakdown from loss and grief and self-hatred and self-doubt.

Do they ever wonder if they're truly the villains? Hurting people they deem its okay to?

Do you think Old moon ever stops and realizes that he's truly the villain in Suns story? That he's the reason for all the villains they've made? And if it wasn't him, it was another Moon (in the case of dark Sun). Do you think he has moments of self-conscience? That deep, terrifying fear that he's really the bad person everyone said he was? That no matter what he does he can never change? Because moon's are destined from the start to be awful.

Maybe Eaps Moon is truly an outlier

Or maybe he'll succumb to the same fate

So generative AI is fucking bullshit, and I initially thought it was just going to fade away like its NFT brethren but clearly not, SO I've been busy

I spent about a year working on this zine about all the ways that current AI tech is undermining the arts, contributing to climate collapse, stealing our data, and just being all around shit.

I wrote a lot about my personal opinions on the subject and included quotes from writers, academic studies, and other creatives, as well as artworks from artists I admire, who I contacted for their permission beforehand. Because it TURNS OUT asking people for PERMISSION is the respectful thing to do????????? Who'd have known... 💀

The rest of the images were either made by me or were from the public domain (not fucken "publicly available" like OpenAI like to say 🤪).

It's been really fun connecting with people about this subject and seeing people speak out more and more about how fucked AI is. Because as much as tech bros like to say that AI is an "inevitable" tech advancement that we can't take back, that doesn't change the fact that we still can and should be regulating the HELL out of it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I hate that Jack has to be either an adult or a baby in fandom discourse. He's both, he's neither. He isn't human. Yes, he's three years old, but he has a mind of an adult (or teenager). Yes, he has a mind of a teenager/adult, but he has almost no life experience which is a huge part of being an adult. We don't call Cas an elderly man or treat him as such because he's not human, we don't have a concept for a being of his age. Why should we treat Jack differently?

There are times when I think the show was trying to shove it into subtext? Like I am really close with both my sister and my brother, but certain things the boys say to one another, I'd never say to my siblings. Yknow?

I'm not sure what my point is here, but. Idk. I just think sometimes CW was trying so damn hard to shut down destiel that they kind of leaned into something a lot worse.
