thinkin again about the secret more interesting version of the seska arc where they find out she’s a cardassian and have to actually deal with that for a while. and like ideally this happens further in so she’s actually like…a valued crew member who maybe has made a significant contribution to trying to get them back to the alpha quadrant faster, even if it’s potentially just for her own selfish ends. like she was planning to betray half the crew and for all they know she could betray all of them if it would serve her interests BUT she hasn’t actually technically done that, just infiltrated the maquis, which tuvok also did, so what do you do with her? and maybe she’s formed real bonds with the crew after being in forced proximity for so long so maybe she wouldn’t betray them, but she also hid being a cardassian for years so how can they trust her? like idk it just seems like there are more interesting things they could’ve done than “she was shady as hell from the start and immediately betrayed them”

i made this silly concept the other night but didnt really expand on it too much on my other socials so I'll do it here!!

after the pressure of being a guardian of positivity gets to him, dream decides to disappear from the public eye jumping from au to au trying to escape his past, which is hard to do as his aura is very strong and easy to follow.

with blue and ink hunting him down (Mostly because they wanna know if he's ok, but dream doesn't know that) he ends up asking an old friend for help, and thats how cross ends up taking him to a hidden part of the multiverse where some other goofballs happen to live..

so thats the setting, but the au itself would have kinda like sitcom vibes, very lighthearted crack-taken-serious!

there's also delta and color, admitedly I don't know a whole lot about color which is why i havent sketched a lot of stuff related to him,, I'LL GET TO IT ONCE I GO OVER HIS STUFF- which, if any of you have any idea where i can see that let me know please wuehhhahh

as for the name of the au? it has not one yet, again its a very early concept whaha

Corazon is a man of contradictions.

He’s a celestial dragon. He’s worked to earn almost everything in his life (Sengoku isn’t on that nepo baby shit).

He’s outgoing and loud. He possesses the power to mute himself and struggles with standing up for himself (at least as a child and with the family).

He is brightness incarnate and is the silliest goose to walk the land. He’s terribly haunted by his past and carries it like a dark cloud over his shoulders.

He has seen death after death after death since infancy to his OWN death. He values life and places an emphasis on continuing to live despite these deaths.

He’s a highly intelligent and cunning spy who survived for years in a (metaphorical) vipers nest. He NEVER beats the ‘dumb blonde’ allegations. (Both in canon and in fandom).

He’s an incredibly kind and caring man who values others above himself in almost any situation. He has burnt down countless hospitals (patents still inside).

He blends into the crowd as a profession, and prefers to hide his presence. He is nearly 10 feet tall and dressed like a former member of Buggy’s crew.

He is a model Marine who has flawlessly performed his duties as a commander for years. He abandons his mission and betrays the Marines the SECOND a sick kid with an attitude problem reveals his name.

He can undergo and withstand truly Herculean amounts of pain without so much as flinching. If he were to receive so much as a paper towel with ‘you only sort of suck’ written on it in crayon (curtesy of Law ofc) he would spend the next five hours happy crying.

This crusty ass man probably bathes twice a week MAX. Somehow his lipstick game is unbeatable?

He’s the primary role model and (semi) parental figure of Law’s late adolescence. He was 27!!! He should have been at the club!!! Law’s the same age now and I’m never getting over it:(

lowkey I don't get why people say Error isn't "Sans-like" whatever that means, because it's just not true.

Error is Sans on steroids. Error is Sans². Error is Sans to the power of Sans.

Like literally everything they do is something Sans does, just incredibly warped and taken to an extreme.

Sans is nihilistic in the sense that he's like "nothing matters, so why should I do anything". Error is SO nihilistic that they've gone beyond that and are like "NOTHING MATTERS SO I SHOULD JUST DESTROY THE ENTIRE MULTIVERSE BECAUSE WHO CARES WHAT'S STOPPING ME?!"

Sans is a judge. Error is Light Yagami in fat weird middle aged skeleton form.

Sans has kinda a sick sense of humor (like he likes to mess with people yk). Error thinks literally torturing people is funny.

Sans loves Papyrus to the point of being willing to kill for him. Error loves Papyrus to the point they're willing to kill HIM and literally everyone else in existence just to "protect" him.

Sans is super observant and picks up on things most people don't, to the point he convinced the entire fandom he remembers resets because of how good at guessing he is. Error is incredibly paranoid and not only notices small things other people don't, but notices things that aren't even there.

Sans plays a sort of comic relief silly guy persona to cope. Error has been playing that persona for so long to cope with their honestly horrible reality, that they've forgotten it was a persona in the first place and now treat their whole existence like one really long joke.

Sans has eldritch madness. Error is eldritch madness personified.

Sans is kinda implied to be depressed. Error got SO depressed that they gave up on everything, INCLUDING being depressed and has been carrying out what is essentially the longest most elaborate suicide plan ever for the past few years.

Sans has a lot of acquaintances, but only like 1-2 close friends. Error is literally completely isolated.

So yeah. Error is the most "Sans" Sans in like the worst way possible.

Honestly I feel like when people say that they're thinking of fanon tsundere/shadow the hedgehog Error, rather than "canon" Error.

I gtta say something because I just saw a post/fancontent about heisa's Anxiety Sans, and I just have to rant how much this character makes my face scrunch up with wrinkles. I dislike this character so much, and if you don't know about this character, AWESOME.

He used to have a-lot of traction back then, I don't remember exactly when, but I have a searing hate for this character. I felt like as if it was just basically a stereotype of what Anxiety is, hence the name 'Anxiety Sans', It genuinely looked like having Anxiety was his only characteristic? Which is disappointing,

its not really that hard to make a character that can have Anxiety but not have the character have its anxiety fully define that characters self, they should have hobbies, wants, etc. something that makes an actual well written/good character. Ig this is sort of a reminder to not feed into characters like this.

(Also I think its silly to have Sanses like this, like seriously? I saw an 'ADHD Sans' like a long while ago and I was like WHAT. I feel like this would be different if this was something like 'Autism Sans' cause lets be honest, all of these sanses would/are just bundles of stereotypes of a disorder smushed into a sans.)

istg it hurts to be an ink lover/fan/enjoyer in the eyes of those outside the fandom

ink might seem like an op sans for no reason at first impression and i can understand why people think that.. he travels through universes, he's the only character in his world (the one who's known as the most overrated character in the game which makes it even more repellent, i guess), among other reasons

i haven't seen almost any direct hate towards him (referring to canon, the genuine hate i've seen so far has been based on underverse, that although it's quite likely his image has been tarnished by the series, i want to refer more to those who aren't familiar with AUs in general) but, since i returned to this community i notice how he's not referred to as a fan favorite (anymore?), at least in the popular videos i find on youtube and on twitter it's even worse, i've seen them call him overrated multiple times

it's the fact that i manage to empathize a lot with him that makes me feel.. a bit sad maybe? because he's more than just another meaningless sans, his story and personality are really good and the fact that he's a sans is just a preference of his creator, that may have aged poorly but it doesn't take away how good and complex the character still is

kai winn’s relationship to religion really is just so interesting to me in a way I come back to sometimes like. she’s the leader of a faith and her gods will not speak to her. they will speak to other people in front of her and they will make a human from a society that did not interfere with her planet’s suffering their emissary but they will not speak to her. and I’m sure she can do a lot to justify it in her mind because she would have to be able to in order to keep any faith, and she has to keep her faith because she says herself that’s all she had in the camps, but that’s still a terrible thing to experience. and I’m sure a lot of people would argue that it’s not real faith, it’s ambition, but I think it’s some of both, and most importantly I think on the most immediate levels she believes it’s faith.

and like I think she and a lot of other bajorans have a reason to have a really complicated relationship with the prophets because the more demonstrably real and powerful they are, the more they’re willing to interfere in things like the dominion war, the harder it would be for a lot of people to justify to themselves why the prophets didn’t do anything to stop the genocide of their chosen people. I think the pah wraiths plotline ultimately fell kind of flat when it kind of boiled down to “dukat’s weird cult” and it was also a victim of the season’s pacing issues, but it has some interesting implications regarding this divide in the bajoran people, particularly when their religious leader’s faith is being so seriously called into question.

imagining this very funny totally amusing bit where dust (despite having a lot of pockets) makes horror carry a lighter for him (only because he can't be bothered to remember to bring one on him all the time) and horror keeps it in his head

but horror's a dick so everytime dust wants to smoke and he needs a light horror's always like "whats the password :3" (he actually said the emoticon i was the quotation marks) and dust has to guess. because horror changes it every time. and its never something predictable. and then he either just totally gives up on that cig or he has to forcefully dig into horror's head to get the lighter because horror's being a PRICK

now dust is shoulder deep into horror's eyesocket while horror is clawing and screaming and killer's just standing there behind them watching this unfold with that fuckass smile on his face (he can't get this type of entertainment anywhere else)

ive always been bothered by dream's belt in his design. it has the letters "ds" engraved on it, standing for dream sans. and this has always kinda pissed me off because he is a sans by pure technicality.

he has the body of a sans, but he is someone entirely different, sharing basically nothing with a sans except appearance. hes still a sans in the context of like- the fact that hes an au character, sure, but, again, he is an entirely different character wearing the proverbial skin of sans undertale.

so, more to the point: it makes no fucking sense to me that the name "dream sans" would be used for him in his canon.

hes not a sans. he never was a sans. he never bore that name. so why the actual fuck is it on his belt. who is calling him that.

and i think the answer might be as simple as mirroring nightmare—since his name is a two syllable word, it can be pretty easily broken into a pair of initials. the same cant be done for dream. so he gets a second word, and now hes dream sans. ds.

jokus decisions with those two never fail to baffle me.

anyway if we wanna give him a two syllable name we should call him "daydream". put "dd" on the belt.

or say fuck it and draw a little sun.

god the "ds" pisses me off. makes no god damn sense.
