The hushed chatter of the students in the library barely slips through your headphones, its tight fit can sure be helpful at times like this. It plays a song that you recognize from a shared playlist with a certain pink-haired.

You're sitting at your favorite spot in the back of the library, closing out the distant noise of students that are hanging around just to cool down from the warmth brought by the summer heat. Seriously though, the air-conditioning of the library is no joke. It blows cold and occasionally sends a shudder down your spine.

Heaving a sigh, you faintly smell the scent of old books from the floor-to-ceiling bookcases that surround your table and the other rows of vacant reading tables nearby. It brings a sense of comfort, you mused.

But before you could bring yourself to continue reading the module that was handed by your physics teacher…

DING!

A text notification flashes on your phone screen that's placed beside the physics module that you're flicking through, the sudden disturbance makes you grumble.

Nevertheless, a familiar ticklish feeling settles in your stomach as soon as you read the name of the sender of the text. Clearing your throat, you pushed the bridge of your glasses further on your nose before reluctantly opening the new message.

Thinking for a while, you glanced at the module laid in front of you - it's quite hefty, you just went through a third of it in a span of more than an hour. And it's past 4pm now. You dreaded being picked in a physics event for the next day. Though, you did agree on being part of it in the first place. You greeted some familiar faces and stopped by the librarian's office. Peeking inside, you spot an older woman seated on her armchair as she skims through today's newspaper. She had her feet raised on top of her desk and a white mug of coffee that has a design of a cartoon bear is placed near on the side.

Knocking twice at the door, you caught her attention. Her stoic and neutral face turns into a lopsided smile which you unconsciously reciprocated.

"Hey, oldie," you teased once you stepped inside the office.

The carpet under your feet is thick as you padded near the older woman. Her grey-ish hair is combed slick into a bun then a partnered black and red dress suit completes her look for the day.

As usual, the latter screams the embodiment of superiority.

"Hello, dear. What brings you here?" Her voice is silk but firm in tone.

You glanced at the silver name plate that is anchored in front and at the center of the desk, "I won't be coming home with you later."

"And why is that?"

"A physics thingy," you waved the bulk of paper in your hands. "I have some friends that will review 'till late. And I decided to join."

All you get is a hum of affirmation and your nerves calmed down a bit.

"Okay, just make sure to be home safe. I wouldn't want my granddaughter gone," she feigns annoyance but you recognize the worry that undermines it.

"Mhmm, you can ask Mrs. B about this if you want some proof." You said while rolling your eyes, knowing her tendency to get nosy and strict on any of your business.

Your grandmother just laughs and ushers you off, "Go on, I trust you enough to not do that."

Her words were nonchalant but it sure stroked a soft spot within you. 

Oh grandma, if you only knew what I will be soon up to. You left the office in a bliss and started to make your way to the Music and Arts building of the school.

Taking a case of stairs, you finally got to the 4th floor where the music club is located. There weren't many students around since today was purely independent classes and most would study at home. 

You walked through a fluorescent lit hallway and soon found yourself at the end of it. You stood in front of a seemingly heavy wooden door and hovered your hand on the knob to open it, unsure if you needed to make your presence known or not. Though, as soon as you lightly push the door open, a melody of "Another Dream" echoes in the room.

When you take another step inside, your breath hitches almost immediately.

You found a pink-haired, namely Chaehyun, sitting on a black lacquer stool as she plays the black grand piano pleasantly. The orange hues of the sun that is shining through the windows lights the latter's face in a way that shows her delicate and warm features.

In one word, the given scene is just beautiful.

"Hi," you started gently.

Chaehyun perks up at your voice and turns to see you. The little frown on her face disappeared which switched to a wide smile.

Her heart flutters the same way as yours do. She noticed that you wore a simple blue button-down shirt with black slacks, and you noticed that she wore a white designer top embroidered with pearl buttons and a plaid skirt that hugged her curves.

She jumps out of her seat before wrapping you in a tight embrace.

"I didn't know you played that well," you chuckled as you felt her hands play with the back of your hair.

"Well now you know," Chaehyun huffs, she looks up to you with her tantalizing gaze. "If you didn't keep on leaving early on our rendezvous, then I probably thought about showing you my piano skills."

You flashed her a sorry smile.

"Then, now play me a song."

Chaehyun wasted no time. Though, she was a bit reluctant on letting you go in her arms.

You took a quick puff and leaned your head back on the couch, the dull ceiling of the room made you realize that there wasn't enough ventilation for your smoke. You stood up before clicking the lock of one of the windows and pushing it wide open.

A blanket of smoke is released from your almost-chapped lips, then you hum pleasantly at the sight of Chaehyun doing her best as she soon approaches the pre-chorus of the song.

Wrapping your lips on the mouthpiece of your juul, you inhale briefly before catching Chaehyun's gaze when she stands up from the lacquer stool.

Chaehyun laughs before drawing a whine which makes you coo and kiss her to stop being upset about your teasing.

"Well, it's nothing much really. I'm just glad that you're with me right now and that's what I have been wanting for the whole week." 

You nodded that you understood her reason. And you're now actually sorry for not having time to hang around with her. So, you know one certain way to make up for it.

Taking a short puff, you hovered your lips into hers and exhaled your breath into her willing mouth.
