Raspberry Vampire Shots !
Ingredients:
12 ounce container of fresh raspberries
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 saucepan
12 syringes
1 bottle of prosecco or champagne
Champagne flutes
Long spoon for stirring
How to make the Vampire Blood:
Place raspberries, water and sugar in a medium saucepan, and cook for 10 minutes over a medium heat, stirring frequently.
Remove mixture from heat, and either pulse the mixture in a blender, or use an immersion blender.
Strain through a mesh strainer, discarding seeds.
How to fill the syringes with the vampire blood:
Put the tip of the syringe into the raspberry mixture and draw back the end till it fills up. Wipe the tip off and lay on a flat plate. Repeat until all are filled.
Place in fridge for 1 hour and up to 3-5 days.
How to assemble the vampire blood syringe shots for the party:
At this point you can keep the syringes flat on a tray, or put them into a glass upright.
Have chilled lemon-lime soda and prosecco available for guests.
Place bloody syringe into a glass, and pour soda or prosecco into the glass.
Pull the syringe to put the “blood into the drink, then stir to create a pink cocktail, or soda.
You can also place these syringes in shot glasses of bourbon, rum, tequilla or vodka. We know these will be a huge hit for adult parties. The perfect way to greet your guests at the door is with these fun Halloween shots. If you are using plastic cups make sure to get the clear ones so everyone can see the “blood”!
