More Saving Throw.  I couldn't get the stupid airpods joke out of my head after last session's magic item rolls. Second one: surprisingly, not based off the kaiju pun, that came at the very, very end. I just thought it would be fun to have him in giant form contrasted against the party

I'm back watching saving throw and now I want to respond to the questions of "Where is home" with each of my dnd pcs (and technically an NPC but shhhh).

Alphaeus: As Cliché as it is, home is people, home is his brother and his family and his friends. As long as their present and safe, he feels at home.

Sorin: Home is the taverns, home is speaking to strangers and sharing a drink, home is the silly games and the walk homes in the early morning. Home is also walking back, knowing that at least some of his family will be awake to give him suspicious glances but also a warm drink and a hug and a passing comment of "I'm glad your safe, get some rest". Home can be both.

Ryu (original campaign): Home is the little shack in the woods where his father used to take him, where he now lives with his drake. Given time, the little mismatched house with a gnome and a giant where nothing is quite the right size but it works somehow also begins to feel like home.

Ryu (NPC addition): Home is the pub and the forest beside it, with the kind strangers who hear how the barkeep let's people of all kinds in. It's the now grown drake who keeps watch and the tiny baby drake that sneaks under the tables and chairs.

Hemlock: Home used to be the woods and the sky, Home was the nature, as long as he was around that he could find Home anywhere. He thought so anyway until he found a home with a group of strange individuals with a caravan bigger on the inside and they all annoy eachother to no end but they're Home. And he will keep that safe.

Galen: Home is a lab, his experiments. He never really cared for people but the experiments are his life. That's his home, his science and the lab that he can sit and study as long as he needs.

did some things to my copy of hades II

guys it turns out the local files of hades ii (and probably hades i) are very easily editable even if you suck at coding. straight up lua files in there. edit that model scale factor from 1.3 to 8 and play with canonically accurate god sizes. make it so polyphemus can't do anything besides hop around. make melinoe baby size. the world is your oyster. i also made Eris suck at fighting because I hate her <3

Because @savedatateam Saving Throw’s Chiron and my dnd character, Hecate, are too similar I needed to write a mini interaction with them, even if it’s very stupid lol. Hopefully one day I shall make fanart but today is not that day😂

Chiron: that is correct but I also research the living. I aim to find a cure for death

Hecate: really? Me too. How do you conduct your research?

Chiron: typically I’ll go to the infirmary to assist with any of the injured

Hecate: oh, that’s really smart. Usually I’ll just grab whatever corpses or body parts I can find after battles

Ash: you mean to say you just…walk around with dismembered body parts? Out in the open?

Hecate: uh yeah?

Chiron: your physical form does not strike me as very strong. How do you carry a whole corpse?

Hecate: if no one else can carry it for me I’ll just drag it

Junver: you’ll just…drag a dead body through town?

Win: how have you not gotten in trouble?

Hecate: honestly it’s never really been an issue🤷‍♀️

This is how I immagined the Characters (because I listened I didn't have the visuals)! I thought I posted this already but I couldnt find it so idk.Well Here it is Now to be sure. The Dnd Podcast "saving throw" by @savedatateam! Everybody listen to saving throw!!

Dumbass!Reader who is the classic protagonist of a mystery/action setting, except they're painfully average and not exactly the brightest. How did they end up as the head of Police? No one knows.

Another layer of irony: everyone is inexplicably infatuated with them.

You burst through the door, throwing your coat off and grabbing the cup of coffee from your assistant. A few employees scramble out of your way as you reach the grand table.

"Is this what we have so far?" you ask somberly, spreading out the sheets of paper.

"Yes, Sir/Ma'am. All the data is here," one officer confirms, a bead of sweat sliding down his temple.

Your brows furrow in concentration. The clock ticks, and the room is quiet - save for your prolonged slurps of coffee.

"You got any pie charts instead?" you look up with pursed lips. "Piss if I know what these numbers mean. Make sure they're color-coded."

One woman begins to fan herself.

"God, they're so hot when they're mathematically illiterate like that."

Right now, it doesn't matter that our federal programs and institutions need reform. YOU CAN'T REFORM SOMETHING ONCE IT'S GONE. It will take WAY more work (and harm way more people in the meantime) to rebuild from scratch than to work to save these programs now.

Did the grant freeze scare anyone?? It should have!! Yes, it's been temporarily blocked, BUT EVEN IF IT STAYS BLOCKED, IF THERE'S NO ONE TO ADMINISTER THE GRANTS, WE STILL DON'T GET FUNCTIONING PROGRAMS

Snyder's On Tyranny, #2: DEFEND INSTITUTIONS. All Americans should be throwing their backs behind civil service right now and calling their reps until the reps actually DO something to keep our workers in their jobs. We NEED good people in the agencies and offices that are being targeted!! Or we are going to lose programs, resources, and data we worked for generations to build!

Don't think for one second it's going to be fucking ICE that shuts down because of this... ICE won't be touched. It'll be research, welfare, disaster assistance, land protections, environmental protections, even access to core data that we take for granted, is what we're going to lose. With the grant freeze, and the DEI purge, we've already seen just how FAST resources can be ripped away

FEDERAL WORKERS ARE NOT YOUR ENEMY. We need to stand together on this, as they are building a resistance to defend the constitution against ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, because if anyone's the enemy here it's the fucking fascists. And, like it or not, bureaucracy (filled with stubborn, dedicated people) is our first line of defense.
