Prophetic

Every single time things look hard to decipher or farcical (and this is one of those farcical times), I remember a long post by @hardblazesong, dealing with BTS aspects and the intricacies of this cesspool of a fandom. I am yet to read something more clear and more bravely stated than the things she wrote almost eight years (!) ago, even if I do not necessarily agree with everything. Especially as far as SC's sexuality is considered and examined, for example - but that is secondary, to me.

Every word in this quoted passage was confirmed by what happened next, for example. And then, some more, if at all possible:

This is exactly what happened, rinse and repeat to oblivion. 'No one above D level status', with the odd lap dancer/Hooters waitress thrown in, for variety. Gross? Effective on the short term perhaps, to quench thirsty/insistent/too close to the real thing rumors and found tidbits, yet damn penalizing on the long run. MPC's dwindling subscription figures are testimony to it, as are the mediocre projects coming his way. And now he sorely needs a seriously good one to keep his rep at a decent level. You see, the entire kilt-cladded, warrior daddy imagery/fantasy is also quietly wearing off, as OL is coming to its merciful end. But believe it or not, S will survive even this life-changing experiment with fame. The key question here is 'how' and I have no definitive answer to it. But I am confident, and this Soroptimist approach of mine will always be my guilty pleasure, as far as S is concerned. Perhaps the only one, since the guy won't ever make me turn my head for him in the street. Not even sorry about that. But as I have already told you, I do like an underdog and know how to spot them, when I see one.

Now, as far as C is concerned, the 'low key thing' turned into the perfectly artificial farce we all know about. It is my sincere belief at least 85% of her Taliban Stan crowd is simply paying lip service to what they chose to believe and are constantly being reminded of by their trolling Sopranos. So much so, in fact, that it all reeks rather of Pollyannaism than critical thinking, no matter how brutal or self-assured they may sound. And at this point in time, with zero communication on the topic and C who apparently DGAF about narrative continuity when it comes to this, it's only fair to say more oil is being quietly, constantly thrown onto those embers of suspicion and legitimate, logical doubt.

As for going political, we all saw what happened with S's Gaza comment, didn't we? Case in point to never cross obvious red lines and allow your own emotions get in a mix you cannot control and which must not have been addressed, to start with. Especially when you are, above anything else, a media product manufactured on purpose for reaching the widest potential audience. MAGA Mommies crowd included.

Also, this:

Again, this is exactly what happened, and consistently so. Proof of this are the multiple times I had to excuse myself to powder my nose in the middle of a Zoom call or meeting, whenever my cellphone was blinking with concerned messages about this or that insignificant turn of an apparently endless, boring and disingenuous AF narrative. Shippers are worried and potentially even hurt every single time a Fitness Harem representative shows up on the roster. S knows that - how could he not, he is part and parcel of it? Trolls know that: in fact, this is their bread and butter in this fandom. And the reason this happens is an unnecessarily cruel and by now pathetic bout of schizophrenic trivia deliberately being thrown in, from time to time, for... eh... for reasons. Whether this is for 'protection' (complete quiet would be way more decent and effective, I think) or diversion, or remaining relevant, or even shits and giggles is entirely secondary, one more time. These allow to address all the factions of this fandom at once, using what are by now some lazy, well-tried and accessible plot devices (SM twisting reality, cheap pap walks, timeline innuendos, etc). Again, this is wrong and harmful, in the long run. It is refusing to see the forest for the trees and completely ignore the fact this is building the wrong persona and the wrong brand. Back to that sore need for a really good project I have mentioned before and own reasoning nicely tied in, thank you.

As for how SC feel about us, shippers, I suppose things are clear. I don't think they like us, and to be blunt, how could they? Mistakes have been repeatedly made, especially when it comes to projecting going completely, tastelessly out of control, the hyper sexualization and objectivation of both S and C (naively dirty fanfic, anyone? come on, we all read it!) and the liberties some took with decency, as far as C is particularly concerned. And by this, I don't mean stalking - that is pushing Covfefe Pics really too far and being a perfect hypocrite about it, when we know the entire faction was demanding proof, on many tones & in many ways and kept on pressuring for something along those lines to happen. To me, however, the most toxic part of it was definitely Jess' unfortunate drooling all over someone else's love story. It definitely had an impact and it was definitely been used as such, until it wasn't. The rest of all that obsessive approach are just spin-offs, but the bad seeds were gleefully planted there and then.

Before landing here, I carefully weighed in my options. And I chose to be primarily interested in business and legal paperwork simply because it so happened that an irritated reaction while on an Athens taxi ride prompted my arrival here. Then I realized it was the only way to bring something new to an already stalling body of public lore and keep it simple and real. What I did discover and what the trolls across the street chose to dismiss as trash is, in fact, evidence enough of the chasm that exists between what people are being served and supposed to gobble up, no questions asked, and a reality that certainly is more nuanced. This is what really makes me tick and this is why I am still here, while there are so many more useful and enjoyable ways to keep myself busy.

Rest assured, though: I am not going anywhere, even if from time to time life and a very strenuous job take precedence. I hope you can understand this. In the meanwhile, you have been so many witty, kind and warm people coming along my path, that I would feel like betraying you (and myself!) if I went away. And no, I have never felt more sure about SC than probably now, even if this 'SC' doesn't necessarily coincide with your own version of that saga.

Thank you for reading this very long comment, summing up all the thoughts that nagged me while I was simultaneously translating and slaloming between my two mother tongues, while in Tunis. I am rather good at compartmentalization, you see. This post is also a clumsy homage of sorts to all the brilliant, brave and bold women, past and present, of The Shire, who have tried and managed to see beyond the thick veil of deceit this entire #shitshow is. The fact so many of us, across so many cultures and personal circumstances, saw the same damn thing and questioned it with integrity and wit, should be arresting evidence there are more things.

PS: I think we can all agree on the fact the Biggest Troll in this fandom is 'Erself, the Flip-Flop Blue Nailpolish Goddess. But that's a different story.

Ho caro ❤ what do you think is the ultimate kibbe body type for pretty boys/heartthrobs ? I know it can be every type but still ! I've noticed that classics ( v , cillian murphy or even zayn ), soft dramatics( jin and hyunjin ) or soft naturals ( aaron taylor-johnson) are really representative of that archetype, even cha eun woo but I can't pinpoint which type he is . kibbe theory VS heartthrobs, romance, and masculinity

or: how pop culture pairs Naturals with Romantics, and Dramatics with Gamines.

hi! thanks for your lovely asks. cha eun woo looks like a soft dramatic to me! tall (6'0), but extra yin. much like bts' jin. chiseled bones, small waist, luscious face, T-silhouette: a narrow geometric structure as the base.

i can't see him as an FN or C as he is vertical-first like a Dramatic, not width-first or average height. the long monochrome D black look with sharp shoulders is right up his alley. in fact, anything else would be too short.

but imo he can do both, severe and dreamy aesthetic, unmoving vs flowing fabric. like christian bale, SD is a type walking between worlds, D and R, which is why they are often considered heartthrobs. but in an elegant, regal way, as they have long limbs and statue bodies.

i noticed that much like C men, SDs are often associated with romance cinema: they have soft faces that don't heavily contrast the usually (!) soft-subtyped or gamine female protagonist. SD can do glamor, sleek, decorum, something that's usually not associated with guys, but they pull it off.

the already fleeting veil between men's and women's fashion becomes thin with this image ID, which is why they fascinate as gnc icons. it's an especially celebrated type in SE Asian television, and historical film.

it bridges the gap and is more female gaze-heavy than casting an intimidating pure D or the obiquitous brawny, flexing, mud-covered FN as the lead. which, and that preceeds marvel, rather belongs to the action/superhero genre. to take an exaggerated example: basically, the N family on crack would be the expendables 😅

jokes aside: casting SD men as the lead still creates a height difference 9 times out of 10, though: they're not R types at a distance. SD is a tall sight. sharp yang is a towering, dignified 6'0+ figure (D always adds older age perception) — so, i would not entirely nominate them as the #1 pretty boys and luring heartthrobs. that would be, in my opinion:

soft gamine & theatrical romantic.

in our polarized world, i observe how they usually only show up when there's a yang counterpart involved. my theory is: you can find a Romantic type in the vicinity of any Natural, and if you want to find a Gamine, search for the Dramatic.

e.g. when the female movie protagonist is very yang like keira knightley or anne hathaway, the male is often more yin/gamin-ish: the gap is bridged, but still, they're two worlds. always contrasting essences in hollywood and beyond, rarely sameness. the bridgerton formula: total contrast. and nicola coughlan (pure R) is the heartthrob one here!

how female gaze male beauty is a balance act

in the long run however, female D types quizzically rule the romance genre. i guess it's because they break the often infantilizing "small, soft, R/G girl" uber-trope and covet the gentle yin and classic men, often far below 6'0, which are much more desirable than the "alpha v beta" status quo used or uses to admit. think 5'9 tom hardy's beautiful yin lips. who wouldn't want to kiss him? few would reject such a devastating smokeshow of a guy. he is gorgeous.

think D.O as an actor, he had people fawning. very yin 5'8 man. either soft gamine or pure romantic. silk and satin hanboks just look best on yin men.

james mcavoy is 5'7, for instance, and far from D and N, too. on eye level/small, hourglass + some extra sharpness. reddit consensus is, he's been typed into TR, SG, SC. in all cases, he is appealingly yin.

hell, keira's D jawline is sharper than his! mcavoy's nose and eyes appear rounder, the lips rosier, the waist more stark, the arms shorter. her shoulders are wider, angular. james: smaller, sloped, not bony. see the famous fountain scene in atonement. striking comparison.

a complete turnaround of what our mainstream-influenced eyes expect. there is nothing yin about her, while he is both. subversion creates movies we can look at twice. it's no immediate clarity, no immediate stereotype that's quickly grasped. i think that's how the heartthrob factor is born: walking the tightrope of yin and yang. neither entirely different nor fully familiar.

anything else, sadly so, would still be widely perceived as comedy/emasculation or deviation from the perceived norm. (remember how people made fun of taylor and bruno simply for existing — still, see how culture finds patterns in D/G or N/R — classics often disguised in the mix).

all the kibbe eye sees is D and SG. D has vertical, SG is petite. so, it seems like the heartthrob walks a fine line, something that SG appears to be excluded from: as they are socially branded by their height. which kibbe takes into account and tries to turn into their style persona (very limiting... but we're talking typecasting here). meanwhile: among all 13 body IDs,

TR is the true heartthrob archetype.

because he is both romantic and dramatic separately. not all mixed up (G) or blended (C). the dramatic current shows up in the face, making it 'feline'. that's how TR differs from gamine: G types have youthful, cuter/softer yin faces. a TR man is more mature. he is often portrayed as: "he tempts the same sex, and women celebrate his championing". TR simply has an insane aura. xiaojun, wayv:

jackson wang, a TR working out heavily. still, the smolder and gender-nonconforming appeal remains.

another distinguishing factor: TR sometimes approaches average height due to a D undercurrent, or at least feels slightly taller (they never exceed 6'0). gamines are even shorter heartthrobs.

besides pure R, he's the only type of man that is almost fully yin unlike the androgynous gamine, and at the same time, carries the most yang undercurrent. i think that's the recipe for being a sex symbol: because you need tension for sex. TR is pure intrigue. his body invites. he's soft and beautiful, but never cross him.

i do think that much like male gamins, they are also stigmatized in almost all countries where strength and slenderness are socially glorified persona- and body-wise in men, still. R and TR men are often seen as stout, chubby and 'ugly', not masculine enough.

jimin dressed very casually/athletically after debut, like basketball player (= FN archetype). ultra tall, broad torso, radiates power and a sturdy physique... N is the opposite of R, twice the height and weight — R being small, rounded, curve-dominant. the jack and rose effect. even surgically, one could never be the other. it is day and night.

namjoon (FN) can't be the short and fatal TR scene stealer, while jimin would have a hard time becoming a huge 6'4 machine that's like a wall. and we wouldn't have it any other way to begin with. kibbe typing means crafting a personalized style with the 3D in front of our eyes, which is why this typology has helped a lot of people and remains timeless.

jimin's transformation visually — and his increase in popularity — is probably what kibbe meant by metamorphosis. coming into your own image by choosing an exterior that fits your body lines and communicates what your archetype represents, regardless of how 'masc' one is or what one does (e.g. jimin is a martial artist). it's more about immediate perception and harmonious dressing. TR just fits the "beautiful, proud, sexy prince" aesthetic the best.

just like namjoon was choosen to be the leader, not just because of his insane intellect but also/maybe because subconsciously, his FN image ID instills authority, respect, and robustness. our military-influenced global society equates height and muscle with hierarchy after all. kibbe picked up on those jungian body politics. doesn't mean being yang urges you to rule — what i convey here is just what is perceived based on cultural values.

but unlike D, the N family seems to be accessible, friendlier, and muscle-heavy masculinity, even in k-pop where gamines are the gold standard. shinee's leader onew, stray kids with chan, too. kang daniel back then as well. shownu, monsta X. all very blunt yang men of all subtypes. in kibbe, D is the most masculine, but in the world, N is.

that's why they are often presented as R's counterpart like beauty and the beast 😅 yin and soft yang are frequently paired, as they are similar in soft edges, but different in height and essence. FN sometimes comes with SG, but R hardly ever with D.

ironically, one usually dresses like the other. the rock FN is a yin dresser! he always has R, TR, and SD outfits on red carpets. he channels his opposite ID much like some Ds dress like a G would, and Gamines want to be Ds.

digressing again. so: some other kpop group leaders are gamines at best (GD, taeyong, s.coups). but its a consistent Natural type trend. the heartthrob is rarely the leader and often relegated to the dancer role (smaller height can facilitate movement, after all). and hell, they do it best. TR ten, best example.

since dance is closest to sex, i guess, and sex is ruled by yin according to the more outdated kibbe book. but i have to agree. nothing sexy about a spartan, dramatic structure. yin adds exciting curve that lets the eye trace. skz' dance line, for instance, are all yin subtypes. hyunjin: yin dramatic (tall height), lee know: yin classic (medium height), felix: yin gamin (small height). all with the super soft romantic undercurrent lips.

so, what a pattern! and TRs truly are the most provocative dancers of all, without even trying. think hwasa. gamines only break the rules, TR breaks AND heeds all the rules simultaneously, creating that whiplash.

imo that's why taemin's (TR) career took off when he adapted to that supposed N body benchmark and started bulking up his arms/shoulders to resemble an SN body more, eradicating all soft yin flesh with harsh exercise (though his face and waistline still gives it away just how R he is, and we know how yin his body gets when he doesn't work out).

it made him more yin AND soft natural yang rather than just mostly yin-leaning with a bit of D undercurrent; aka his narrow legs, sharp nose, prominent cheekbones. (k-)pop's reverence for gamines shows us that people crave more of that inherent contrast. many follow suit and re-shape their body in the gym. but TR is still a romantic first, which is why they are sadly more niche anyway. not to mention how fatphobic the whole gym/ozempic cultural shift has become once more. yin can't help being soft! doesn't make anyone less of a man.

the opposing tall, usually slender, shoulder-heavy FN image is the martial ideal worldwide, while TR is supposed to be the feminine, as per the kylie & kim body-mod influencing campaign. as soon as a guy enters that role: taboo homophobic red alert. but you can't fully change being born your own type. (whole family kardashian family is yang. kendall SD, khloe FN, kourtney FG...)

that all being said, that is how male SD, SC and SN become stand-ins for a more softened FN version as you mentioned, since they're yin subtypes and still perceived as taller, stronger, with less 'allowance/deviation' from the male ideal type. TR women are overly centered culturally and the sole surgical goal, TR men operate far outside the mainstream as the underdog (which creates their mystic sexual pull), much like the following ID, too:

where TR is the adult version (D undercurrent = looks over 20), SG is the more youthful variant (G + R = looks under 20), regardless of actual age. Gamin is always right on trend, or creating the next one, defiant, youth cultured, anti. ah yes, boy band culture. but elsewhere, SG men are niche or dismissed as quick fads, too, be it e-boys or fashion influencers, punks, rebels, rappers. yungblud is letting the SG flag fly!

SGs rose to more acclaim since you don't have to show your height on tiktok or youtube necessarily, avoiding the "no, girls must be the tiny ones" stigma, which only increases as our world becomes more right-wing and war-oriented recently. look at any propaganda poster of bygone times, the man of a regime is always towering. SG is the opposite: petite, compact, femme, pouty, and sweet as pie, even as they age.

like TRs, i feel SG men kind of become the butt of the joke often, as they are far below 5'10 and also commonly less slender due to yin's width/short bones — but they retaliate by never aging ever, and being able to charm people with their innocence. that whole "neotonous face" craze, it's all gamin characteristics. which is why they are the counterpart of the much more fear-inspiring, extremely tall Dramatics. SDs included!

so, funnily D and G almost always come as a combo. tall sharp and petite sharp. appears in pop culture over and over.

I especially appreciate this little detail:

I love how much ST cares about their ”main ship.”Instead of making many versions of this shrine and having a photoshoot just for that, to really make it perfect to show El’s love for Mike, they decided to use a screenshot from the show and call it a day. 😂

But that’s just what they do, right? They don’t spend time and money on something that just shows someone’s love for someone. Oh wait! They did many different versions of Will’s painting, because it had to be perfect.

Why would the prop for unrequited love story have to be perfect and the prop for the main ship doesn’t matter at all?

Yeah, I really love and appreciate this detail. I really do. 😏

There's a post on entertainmentweekly with John Bell and he says when he saw C feeling very sad at the final scene he cried too and they sobbed together. Sadly we will never see what really happened except if they release BTS after season 8 airs but me think she was VERY much emotional as you said. We will probably all be crying 🥲

I'm hoping they release comprehensive BTS footage of the s8 and the final scene. I want to see SC and their emotions. But what I really want is to see the original long version of Caitriona's audition where her and Sam kissed 💋 and it floored everyone who was watching. The chances of the happening are on negative figures. They never give us nice things.

„We will figure something out then, okay?” Answered Namjoon after a short pause. Nodding lightly, you once again rested your cheek on his chest, just letting him hold you for now.

The other men had a much harder time containing their excitement thought. While the pack alpha acted chill and laid back, they didn't bother covering up anything. Their whispering wasn't making it easy for you to pick up on their words, but you could smell the happiness, so you could guess.

You felt happy too, in a way. You had no idea what was awaiting in the future, but you wanted to explore and develop along side with them. You still had a long way to go. You have never been properly courted before, the only pack you were ever part of was your family pack, which you weren't in for over two years now.

It wasn't something you were proud of. It was always frowned upon for omegas to not have a stable pack. Usually, people mated only within the pack that they were apart of. Once they found someone they were potentionally interested in, the lower second gender individual entered their courting mate pack.

Sometimes, when a bigger mate group started forming and an alpha well enough to support and lead the pack appeared, the whole group of mates broke off their earlier pack and formed a new one.

Therefore, an omega without a fully stable pack was considered not loyal, a big deal to more traditionally thinking people. Over the time you taught yourself to not talk about your pack, always cleverly avoiding the topic.

Others often noticed you being unscented, so you would from time to time try to buy artificial scent. It could be in different forms, but mostly, it was a small piece of fabric that was scented profusely. The scents weren't from a real person, it was a fake mixture of different spices, flower smells, and even things like drinks, foods, or parts of nature. This mixture was carefully measured and listed on the label with a small letter in a circle next to it. That stood for the different second genders the scent was meant to remind you of.

These small fabric scraps could be inexpensive but very highly priced too, it all came down to the quality you were receiving. If you choose to splurge for once, the small rug would serve you for longer. The clothes you would rub it on, neck or your hair would truly smell longer too. Usually, that still lasted for only about 4 days at most, the lower quality artificial scent completely gone within the 2 days.

You weren't ready to spend over 120 000₩ on a flimsy plastic bag with a 10x10cm square of slightly itchy fabric inside, that smelled so unnatural, it pretty much stank. You did have to purchase one from time to time, but only if the situation really requested it. You just really didn't have the spare cash for that, usually being left hungry for the few following days until your weekly set budget went up again.

Plus, they made you feel quite terrible about yourself. That didn't matter if you were about to travel to a different city, or just take the public bus, or have a longer school trip. It was more than normal for a pack to scent you if you were going to undertake such a thing. All of your classmates were well scented, so you followed along, attempting to fit in.

Being pulled from your thoughts by the pack alpha once again, he softly patted your hair looking at your face.

„Do you want to go to the mall with us now? We can eat lunch there, how about that? After that we can drive you back to your apartment.” Slowly pulling away from the warmth he brought, you sat up and nodded. Not really sure what going to the mall would mean you just didn't want to upset them by rejecting any of their ideas.

„Hobi, Koo and Yoongi are at the studio now, they are finishing up some stuff, maybe they will join us later okay?” Listening to Jimin closely you did faintly remember the three alpha's leaving the house sometime in the morning after you ate. They did tell you soft goodbyes back then, but didn't prolong the exit too much. Since you were mostly focused on the movie at that time, they didn't want you to become upset from their sudden absence.

Standing up with them, you all started getting ready. You didn't have much on you at the moment, only coming to the packhouse with a wallet and keys, so you just went on to pull on your jacket, scarf and boots.

Tying the gray knit around your neck, you watched how the other man got ready, grabbing long coats, puffer jackets and warm hats. Bending to tie your shoelaces, you were too slow, warm hands already finishing up the bow knot. Startled, you gripped your fingers lightly squeezing each one in a pattern.

Standing up after kneeling down Taehyung stood taller than you, the high heel boots he wore only adding to his height. Zipping up your jacket all the way up to your chin, he smiled with how your cheeks poked out, appearing bigger.

Squeezing them he cooed loudly, making your face turn just a bit pinker. Huffing, you lightly slapped his hands off, whining. Suddenly, Tae was in your bad books, how could he make fun of you like that?

Whining louder at his chuckle, you rushed towards Jin who was holding the door open for you all. With the two alpha's already gone you also walked outside, the cold air hitting you just as it did yesterday. Snowflakes weren't falling at the moment, but according to the forecast you watched on Saturday, it will start snowing again eventually.

Walking towards the already started car, you followed the footprints stepped before you. The vehicle was a Kia, black and quite large, pretty much a mini van. The snow crunched under your feet as you walked towards the door, pulling at the handle. Tugging the heavy thing open, you slowly climbed in, looking at the layout before deciding where to sit.

The seats were made out of light tan coloured leather, and felt bit cooling to the first touch. Gripping onto the handle, you were going to sit behind the driver seat, only to be pulled back by your hand. Softly landing in the middle seat, you looked at Jimin who was sitting by the wheel.

„Sit here princess. We can see you better this way, do you understand? It's for safety, come on, buckle up now.” The said alpha said calmly, turning in his seat to pat your knee lightly.

Growing only more annoyed by this, you just wanted to sit next to the window, was that big of a deal? Still, you just whined and did what the alpha asked for.

„Good girl.”

Looking up, you met eyes with Namjoon, and after a second of the sudden stare contest, you looked down at the seatbelt you started to pull at, ignoring the soft flutter you felt in your stomach.

Sliding into the seat next to you, Jin closed the doors after himself with a loud bang, followed shortly by Tae climbing in and doing the same. Sandwiched between the alphas, you shrunk into yourself, feeling small.

„Awhh, are you still mad at me?” smiling at you, you turned to face away from the man, choosing to instead watch out of the window as Jimin started backing out of the drive way slowly.

„Is everyone buckled up? Do you have everything?” asked Namjoon from the front seat, turning to look at all of us. Reaching his hand to pull at the belt around your shoulder, deeming it secure enough when it didn't move.

Nodding you answered just as everyone else did, so the car got on its way. The neighborhood the pack lived in was a luxurious one, not shocking you too much. You knew about their music, nowdays it was basically impossible to not know. But still you never payed enough attention to be aware of any details what's so ever. You didn't really know their names before hand, only hearing few songs in the radio or seeing them on billboards. You never really took a great interest in K-pop, only a small bit. Western music was more your style.

You always wished to travel to a western country, like the USA. You loved snow, so something like Alaska was always a part of your dreams, sadly, never achievable. You studied a major that made your future well above uncertain and risky, but still you hoped to make it one day.

The competitions you signed up for were not always too successful for you, but you loved the process of creating anyways, so you eventually always came back to them, even if you were disappointed with your results last time.

Your work ranged across many mediums, going from painting on big canvases to drawing, sculptures, or printing techniques you explored in some of your lessons. You loved all of it, often showing some of your projects to people who offered to listen in, even if there weren't too many. You didn't have a lot of friends, practically none.

The classmates you shared were often time bit too rough for you, and you still had hard time adjusting to living on your own, so going out to meet with new people was absolute no for you. You somehow always wished for it though, no matter how introverted you were.

And so with a soft music playing in the background from the radio, you felt at peace for once.

Finally, you had someone who was willing to help you, to hold you in your hardest and cherish you at your worsts. There was a coldness at the bottom of your heart, reminding you that any of the short term relationships you worked hard to form with some of your class were never truly real. They never included any of what you had with the packmates, confusing you further. Were they never actually real?

Still, you had a few you trusted, occasionally coming by to talk to them, even if they never came to you by themselves.

Streets passed by, the road was calm even if it was snowy and icy. Jimin was driving slowly, making sure to slow down before any curves to avoid any possible danger.

„Hyung, we have to take her to the Cheongdam-dong, let's go to the mall after.” Said the youngest from next to you. While you weren't that well set regarding your money, only getting payed small amount from your family as a compensation, you knew the Cheongdam-dong street. Filled with stores like Prada, Burberry, Chanel, MIU MIU, or Gucci, it was absolutely not what you were expecting to go down.

You thought the men would take you to the mall, mingle around in new sections of the stores, you would maybe buy a lunch later and then be on your way. This seemed different though. Why would you even go there, you could never ever afford anything from such luxury brands.

Since your school hours usually started at around 8 and ended after 17, you didn't have much time or energy to do a lot after that. You could take on a part time job, and you emailed a lot of places, but after they realised you were an omega and with no pack alpha they usually stopped communicating. There was a lot of papers that needed to be signed by the pack to get the omega to work, even as a part time job at a local café.

„Cheongdam-dong street? Why?” The discomfort in your voice was well above obvious as you looked at the man besides you. He way excitedly looking at Namjoon, smiling with his teeth showing. He was wearing a long coat and a cashmere blue and red scarf around his neck, left loose to dangle on his torso, looking chic and elegant. An outfit nice enough to go shopping in such brands, yours on the other hand was far from it.

You did freshen up before leaving today, but you still wore the same clothes as you did yesterday and you weren't sure if the wrinkles would be appreciated. You could bet you would get kicked out before you would even try to enter.

Instead of turning to Tae, the highest ranking alpha turned to you. Watching you with soft gaze, he let his gaze linger for a minute before speaking. Namjoon was already set on starting courting you, and he wasn't about to back down. Especially since he knew that you were interested yourself, and his pack wanted just the same.

„It's okay pup. We can just look around how 'bout that? Don't get worked up baby, let's just enjoy our day yea?” with his dimples showing, you allowed him to carres your cheek, leaning into his touch slightly.

„I'm sure you will love it cub, the new winter collection from Dior has some really pretty jackets. Maybe you will find one you like.” Looking up at Jin he too only returned it, his eyes soft and warm. Nervously looking around, you weren't too sure about this.

„Gucci has a new one too, did you see some photos? What did you like the most? I'll take you there so you can see, okay babycheeks?” Tae said, pulling out his phone before showing you a photos taken from a runway show.

They were from his Camera folder, meaning that he himself visited such event, shocking you for a second. The intimidating looking women and men wore oversized suits with sunglasses, colourful patterns coats paired with just as bright pants, barretts, fur coats that dragged after them and maxi dresses.

Leaning closer to the alpha, you watched the many photos he must have taken. When you were younger, you did look at fashion magazines, watching the makeup looks they wore confidently and the new silhouettes the current trends offered. Your mother always took you away sooner or later; whenever you asked to buy such magazines, they were always too expensive, was the reply.

Your grandmother did have sewing patterns and books on different techniques and guides for such things. In those old booklets, there was an occasional drawing of the clothing article, modelled by a girl. You always settled for those, flipping through the pages quietly.

After you got older, the fashion world just got a bit too much for you to keep up with, so instead you chose to buy what you found comfortable and interesting at the moment.

Only meekly nodding, you sat back comfortably, just as Jimin started to park the car. Stopping at a bit of a busy street, the alphas didn't step out immediately; instead, they pulled on different hats and sunglasses, pulling up face masks over their noses.

Before you knew it, a hand underneath your chin turned your face to the eldest. Pulling a soft pink face mask over your nose, he tucked the strings over your ears. Smiling at you with his eyes, he booped your covered nose while cooing.

„We need to keep you covered up, cub. We don't want to share!” His laughter got louder, making you smile lightly. With the seatbelts undone, you all piled out of the van. After locking the car, you all waited for Jimin before walking on the pavement. A lot of people were around, bundled up in soft-looking jackets. You did so too once the cold wind hit you.

A warm hand took hold of yours, warming you up slightly. When you looked up, you were once again met with the dragon eyes of the pack alpha. With your hand and cheeks warming up, you looked away.

„I don't want to lose you, pup. Stay in sight, okay? Don't wander off too far; stay with alphas for now.” Feeling able to only nod, you felt his fingers squeeze around yours before he pulled your hand with his in the coat pocket.

Walking at a calm pace, with Taehyung leading the way, you four followed closely. Watching the cars pass on the busy road, you noticed a few limousines here and there. You kept to yourself, only stopping for a millisecond to stare. Even that was easy to notice for the older man, who laughed loudly.

„I'll take you in one some day, okay? I promise, baby cub.” You didn't take it too seriously, so you only nodded. With the first luxury brand shops in sight, the small group you were a part of walked towards the first one. A tall, white architectural structure captured your attention well enough before you entered. The shapes were curved and stood tall with a simple black name planted on the front, spelling out DIOR.

The doors slid open, allowing the cold air from outside in, but after you all entered, they quickly closed again. With two guards standing next to the exit, you immediately felt watched and stared down. Before you had time to get anxious, a hand on your lower back lightly pushed you forward.

Jimin smiled at you; his soft palm slid over and stayed on your waist. Ushering you forward, you noticed Taehyung and Jin wandering off towards different sections, only to have sales attendants rush after them.

You knew that Dior was a luxury brand, but you didn't know that the inside would be so grand. You should have expected it based on how the outside looked. Right opposite the entrance was a wide and curved staircase to the left leading to a second floor. With two mannequins standing next to it, they were both clothed in the new season's styles. The one further from you wore a soft-looking checkered jacket with light tan accents and a long, pleated beige skirt. With a white turtleneck and a bag in hand, the outfit did look quite nice to your eyes.

The other figurine wore a more daring outfit: a brown leather coat that went below its knees was left open. A fur cuff around it was cheetah-patterned, matching the cheetah-print Barret she wore. Underneath, she wore a soft baggy sweater vest with a crisp white shirt left untucked underneath. A pair of loose-fitting black trousers went over her feet, so the tall heels she wore just barely peeked out, making the mannequin appear taller than she was.

The white marble flooring was shining brightly under the strong lights, reflecting everything on it. Pulling you along, the men lead you towards one of the jewellery and purse showcases. Kept under a glass, there lay many handbags, set up in neat lines. Some were small, some bigger, and they all seemed a bit too much for you.

The necklaces were mostly spelled Dior and made out of rose gold; there were also many bracelets shown. With the same logo, you liked a few but didn't dwell on them for too long. There was no way you could wear any of this stuff, so why look too closely?

Allowing the alphas to pull you through the store calmly, whenever a sales clerk appeared, they were quick to wave them off. You felt out of place, but the warmth their hands provided made you feel better, so you just complied and went with it.

Occasionally stopping, they took notes of where you were looking; if you watched over a pair of heels for a bit longer, a ring, a bracelet, or just a simple sun hat, they were quick to remember.

Eventually, you three walked up the stairs to where the clothing section was. This wasn't like the usual store you knew, where the clothes were filled with all different sizes and the clothing racks were full. Here, there were only a very few items, usually kept in one or two sizes.

You didn't have much time to look around closely before Taehyung walked towards you, with two store workers quickly trailing him. Both of them, the girl and the man, had their hands full with stuff. From bright colours to softer stuff, there was a lot they held. Taking a hold of your soft cheeks, the wide boxy smile was all you could pay attention to.

„Here, babycheeks, I found some stuff for you to try on. Why don't we do that now? Will you do a nice fashion show for your alphas, my good girl?”

„Ah, Tae, that sounds just like the best thing ever. Here princess, the changing rooms are this way. Did you already select the right sizes for our baby?” Jimin asked his younger packmate, who nodded quickly.

„Of course, don't worry. It should all fit, the clerk's chose the sizes. Here, babycheeks, we will sit here for now. You just come out once you are ready okay? Alpha's are right here.”

Pulling open the long curtain, you were lightly pushed in the large changing room. There were a few hangers in there with few clothes already hung up on them. Turning to look at the men, everything happened bit too quickly for you to realise what was going on before you were already standing in the changing room.

Before them stood a few leather armchairs, already occupied by the pack, while Namjoon and Tae had his knees spread, Jimin chose to set one over the other and rest that way. Meeting his gaze once again, the man spoke again.

„Don't worry baby, we aren't going anywhere. Be a good girl now and go try on some stuff okay? I'm sure you'll like it.”
