Astrological Predictions I Wrote Down Last Year Which Are Still Relevant- and will continue to be!
Tumblr media
Note: I'm not here to spread fear and anxiety. Bad aspects do not exist. Our lives and the way the Art Of Astrology is expressed in our reality is a mix of different colours and vibrations. These predictions have been made with my own personal way of interpretation so please don't ask how I came up with some things. Don't drive yourself crazy trying to see the "mechanics" and "practical details" behind the predictions, simply read them and see if intuitively you vibe with them. Keep in mind these are written in a "personal notes" style so it is a tiny bit chaotic!
A year ago I did not post any content about astrology and tarot online, at least at this scale. Posting these personal observations is not a way fro me to "toot-my-own-horn". I'm actually quite skeptical about Astrology's capacity to "predict" but right now, looking at those notes it is apparent that most of those things have already manifested or are beginning to take form in our physical reality.
Enjoy and let me know what your thoughts are about what's coming.
2023 MAJOR ASPECTS
Pluto In Aquarius (23/3/2023, 3 months and then again in 2024): 20 year cycle, society, tech, consciousness, innovation on STEROIDS, last time 795,819, 1781 -> discovery of uranus, islamic/arab domination in north africa, fall and rise of dynasties in europe (foundations of europe as we know it now, al-Khwarizmi founded the field of algebra
Saturn In Pisces (7/3/2023, 26 february, may 2 2026): structuring the "unstructureable"
Jupiter In Taurus (16/5/2023-25/5/2024): wisdom of nature, stay ready/still, green
17/7/2023 -> N.Node in Aries/S.Node in Libra: love-war, Ares-Aphrodite, war between the feminine and the masculine. Fall of red pill and radical feminism, individual vs parrtnership.
Where Jupiter goes, Saturn follows. Dune, The Hermit energy. In the past few years with Jupiter in Pisces and Aries disillusionment was IN! Fights through screens (Aries), were just another day. Saturn clears the way after Jupiter's orgy. Dreams NEED a practical use (note from now : we have this whole hustling culture thing of set goals and be practical, we are basically trying to give structure to our dreams and create a step by step path to our vision). Example: astrology, NFTs and crypto, drugs, manifestation, art -> how are they contributing to our society and the betterment of it? Dissolving-then Forming-> identifying, dreaming-act/plan -> success. Only through the loss of individual power we realize we are nothing without a link to the rest of "life". Submitting to something greater/ fear (misty) of something destroying us or confronting external life. Sacrifice/Servitude. Who are you when stripped away from the world? (prison): stripped off the matrix/network, inner contemplation, power to serve to experience unity, science+spirituality meeting. loneliness + isolation = going deeper within, monk mode. developing a conscious ego. Information utilized/weaponized to help/guide the masses. Increasing consciousness and broadening the mind. We are realizing we are experiencing the "shadow" not the "idea" (Plato/Jung/archetypes)/Antigone-> divine law / human law/ loss of faith and search dor a new framework of values. Discipline in meditation, yoga driven towards God. Fight between atheism+spiritualism/nihilism+purpose. Turning inside because you lost faith, there you will find God and meaning. The form has outlived its usefulness -> conflict with the status quo and law. No church in the wild/godless. Saturn's death by Jupiter (taurus = structure).
Transformation of rules, social norms, ideas of humanity and how we use science+technology to manifest those ideas. Social + technological REVOLUTION. Renaissance. Turning to humanitarian, liberal arts/spreading knowledge-teaching. Astronomical discoveries, vaccines/antibiotics(shortages?), innovations in trade, change in the way religions and churches are structured as well as other organizations. More open. Blockchain. "Anonymity" but transparency. 48 laws of power, the prince. philosophy-> utilitarian/kant/pure reason. "how to maximize happiness for the majority. streamlined techniques. Pluto in Aquarius will bring the desire to reform. After 2044 these changes will be established. Everything will be brought to the surface. going deep and facing demons. PROMETHEUS MYTH , FIRE -> DARK SIDE OF TECH (note: AI). decentralised internet, open sourcing, energy. YOU CAN'T REACH GOD THROUGH TECHNOLOGY/CAN YOU? Grid failures+extreme weather. Internet cables connecting countries -> separation from WEB -> Who are we? power over...= domination / power with...= networks Pluto -> Πλούτος, abundance but can turn to greed -> eruption -> realizations. Society = individuals -> change= self change!
Society is going to turn its hopes, wishes , knowledge, resources and tech powers towards abundance and sustainability. Physical environment = abundance. I'm seeing a rise in holistic+cyclical approaches, natural medicine and art expression close to natural processes. Expect movement from big cities to the countryside and creation of luxury reatreats/hotels close to nature-sustainable.

scale of 1 to 10 how buff is astrid in your off the coast au???
(for science purposes, of course)
dragonsoffthecoast!astrid infodump pretty please?? relationships with work, he gang, all of that tasty stuff :]
I CAN ABSOLUTELY INFODUMP ABT ASTRID!! (she's at least an 8 on the buffness scale)
Tumblr media
i want astrid to have this body type (photo is of monica granda, who is a powerlifter!!!)
Tumblr media
BUT to the main stuff abt ms astrid hofferson :)
general info
astrid picks her name to be astrid legally when she's around 12 :) she used that name as her "viking name" back when she & the gang were little kids playing vikings vs dragons. and since it's?? a rlly cool name. when she changed it from her dead name her parents let her pick & it was all she could think of. it means so much to her.
astrid in school, all school from elementary to college/uni, is a try hard. she is going to be valedictorian if it'll be the last thing she does. if she's not at least top 3 her eye is twitching. she is also very active in sports!! track & field is her JAM!!! esp once she's at uni she does lots of field stuff!! (discus, hammer, etc!!) and powerlifting!!
when she initially came out as trans it was a little rough with her parents (they were a bit distant at first) but they got over themselves & were super supportive as she transitioned :) that's their daughter!!!
she always is wearing her headband, it's yellow & blue to match stormfly's crown. tuff & snot made it for her.
relationships
stormfly is her girl, her best (dragon) friend!! <3 stormfly brings out astrid's playful side and is an excellent confidant for her. astrid is super protective of stormfly. stormfly is in the sanctuary due to having some part of her crown (the spines that stick out of her head) being cracked (they are very important for nadders!!!) and as she healed, astrid was her human. they also both tend to be the ones reigning their friends in (altho stormfly can get carried away when she plays sometimes!!)
hiccup (hirschel) is her best (human) friend. they grew apart when they were in middle school (as did the rest of the gang from hiccup) but in high school she was the first person he revealed toothless to & she (after being convinced to NOT tell any of their parents) did not take hiccup's trust in her lightly. it means a LOT to her. their dynamic is very much like how their friendship is in the shows esp. astrid can get in over her head with how strict she can be abt how to do literally anything & her frustration of others not doing what she would do & hiccup will just dryly vibe check her. she also bluntly (but gently) vibe checks him back (think "so why didn't you?" scene from httyd 1). she's his second in command at work and is in charge when he's not there. hiccstrid is a thing for this au and they do have feelings for each other when they're kids :)
fishlegs (justin) and astrid are super close!! when they're together they're basically the level-headed ones of the group. they bring out the responsible sides of each other lol!! they're each other's confidant and astrid can always rely on fishlegs to be honest (but kind) when she needs advice. they of course have their fun but they're who they go to when they need a moment of calm. astrid is also fishlegs' go to for tasting anything he creates because while she's not the best cook or anything herself, she can give her honest opinion. also they do yoga together!!! fishlegs helps astrid relax (which he understands the struggle of given the fact his resting heart rate is always registered as a panic attack /j). they just rlly appreciate each other.
snotlout (gary) and astrid's relationship should be obvious since that's the one i've posted abt the most but they've been at each other's throats since birth. as kids they were always arguing and it's no different when they're older lol. and obviously they eventually date for a brief period due to astrid developing feelings for him. they are genuine, from both parties, but it's not sustainable for them to stya together. outside of that part, they're still super close and while they will give each other shit the whole way through, they know each other better than anyone else, much to astrid's chagrin.
astrid's relationship with ruffnut (eugene) compared to others in the gang is more strained. astrid falls into a bad habit of treating ruff & tuff like a singular entity a lot of the time (which, in her mind is because one is not without the other and are always causing mayhem together) and this frustrates ruffnut, but ruffnut isn't as vocal as her brother until she feels like she needs to be. however, she does give astrid where credit is due. if only astrid could give her the same credit in return (don't worry, astrid will learn and they do grow closer when they're older, esp once they're in uni)
astrid's relationship with tuffnut (laverne) is similar to how she is with ruff in terms of her tending to act like tuff & ruff are a single entity and not two separate ppl with lots of overlapping interests and behaviors due to being twin siblings (ha. felt). tuff, out of the twin duo, is way more talkative than ruff and he is honestly, despite his snark, very sweet. he's more himself than anyone else in the gang and is the most comfortable in his own skin and astrid is sometimes jealous of him for it. he also is the one in the gang who makes her laugh the most with his silliness, but with how quickly he relays jokes, ofc she laughs more often :)
at work
at the hidden world, astrid is very no-nonsense and is particular abt her sections of the sanctuary, which are the sharp and tracker classes! she ends up with two classes due to the switch of nadders from sharp class to tracker class and she does the primary research for the new tracker class set of dragons!! she also does a lot fo the field work! she loves going out into the woods and helping keep track of dragons and then later help with new species :) she helps tag and track!!! her least favorite thing is sitting at the front desk and having to talk with visitors. she thinks she does alright at the job but hiccup says she "can be scary." but also when she's up front it's snotlout & the twin's favorite time to bother her to get her reactions lol. she's also in charge of making the schedules for everyone by her own decision bc she hates the way everyone else does the schedules.
always has stormfly on her shoulders <3
however once she's at uni her time at the sanctuary lessens, altho she does go back full time during summers! she does work a uni job while there, tho (just either at a coffee shop or smth). after she graduates she goes back to the sanctuary but tosses around the ideas of doing other things (despite what hiccup wants but. that's for them to discuss bc she shouldn't have to do what he wants) she even considers enlisting in the coast guard at some point but decides against it. the gang eventually travel across the country to help with more dragons as well as talk in interviews about dragon conservation & stuff & she becomes one of the main spokepeople :)

STRAY THOUGHTS WHILE WATCHING LOVE SYNDROME III - EP7
Another week, another episode of unhinged silliness and kink! And judging by the preview I've seen, this episode is gonna get spicy~ ✨
And we're starting off with a barbecue, my German heart is happy (I really need to clean my grill for that Angrillen tradition!)
Yes, J'Belle, tell us all the gossip~ Oh, a new name! Poom it is? Well, he goes right onto my Love Syndrome/Unforgotten Night character chart. I'm making one rn, cause maybe maybe I'll be able to remember who is friends with whom and who is an ex-boyfriend and... let's just say, I've only started yesterday and it's already a mess lol
Jealous Itt is jealous and Day loves it! In fact, Day loves it so much, he's willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Oh my... Day ate well that night
J'Belle, not the sausage reference please OMG 🤣
Barely 10 minutes into the episode and it's already sexy time again~ Yeah, this ep is giving. Imagine if all amnesia cases could be solved with some good old humping in the sheets. The doctors would be jobless lol
Tumblr media
On a side note: Is that Frank's real tattoo or a sticker? Hmm... I think I need to take a closer look. For science (Update: Yep, it's a real tattoo ^^)
And suddenly we're in a serious conversation about love vs using someone to satisfy their needs. Well, it is an important question Itt is asking here
"I want to remember..." Omg Day?! Are you finally coming around? Are you finally being nice to Itt? "...why did I even date a silly person like you" Dude... why are you playing us like this 😩 The sadistic tendencies are strong in this one
New drinking game just dropped: Every time someone eats cake, you have to drink a shot!
That fortune teller is my new spirit animal "Hit him with a stick and his memory will return" WHY?! 😂 (also, I have a feeling there was a raunchy joke in there that got lost in translation. Something something long hard sticks...)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Itt smacking the memories back into Day, a reference image)
Oh no! There is a lurking shadow behind Day and Itt that will cause trouble? Who is it? Who keeps calling Itt from an unknown number? I need to know!
Aha! So the creepy guy is actually Pee! But did they really name the kid "Pee"? Really? Or is this another translation error. For the actors and character's sake, I really hope it's an error...
Anyway... Suddenly there's a flashback and guns and drama! So Pee is mafia as well or had a crush on Itt and wanted to get rid of Day or? I'm confused 😅
Flashback time again~ This time it's Itt bike racing. He actually used to be a little badass. Now he's a softie who only eats cake. See kids, this is what love does to a man lol
Day really needs to learn how to chill. Maybe he should pick up yoga or makramee or something
Noooo! Itt don't run onto the race track! Don't be stupid now, boy! ...And of course he is stupid, ah... 🤦‍♀️ Tbh Itt kind of deserved that punch
Awkward silence while Itt storms off and everyone else just stands around. Yeah, I've been in that situation before. It's super uncomfortable when friends of yours are a couple and they fight in front of you. Best strategy in my opinion is to quietly escape to the loo (the bathroom, an introverts best friend 🤗)
Also, another drinking game just dropped: Every time a group of guys stands awkwardly around Day or Itt, you have to drink two shots! Bonus round, if there's cake involved
Omg is Day going to cry?! He totally looks like he's going to cry. Aww, poor baby... Nope, never mind. Day decided that he'd rather break his arm again than to shed a single manly tear. Oh my
Ohhhh! Night is back, my sweet boy 🥰 He's so cute
And Night and Gear are once again the ones who have to fix Itt's and Day's relationship *le sigh*
"If you feel tired, how about running away?" Oh Night, I like you! Yes, Itt should totally go on a vacation, that boy really needs a break. Day can deal with his anger issues alone for all I care
And Itt is gone~ Can I just say that I love how both Gear and Night are so angry at Day? You go tell him, boys! Hehe (even though it looks like Gear almost get's drowned by Day in the next ep, it's still worth it 😌)
Alright, that's it for this episode! Next episode we'll get a new love interest for Itt, Day will have another temper tantrum and almost kills his brother-in-law and Night will be a lil cutie as always. So stay tuned~

Yoga is one of the most popular forms of exercise that has a great impact on our physical and mental health.
To understand its impact, it is important to know the inner structure and functioning of the body.
As a yoga teacher or practitioner, you must be familiar with the limitations of each body type and its level of experience. Therefore teachers must learn about the basics of anatomy and physiology to understand what’s going on in the body and achieve the full benefits of yoga.
What is Yoga Anatomy?
Anatomy is a medical term and it deals with the study of basic structures of the body. Its teaching includes the study of bones, muscles, joints, and other internal organs of the body. All Yoga teachers need to understand the structure of the human body to increase the effectiveness of asanas and protect the body from injuries. With this anatomical awareness you will be prepared to deal with injuries in an effective, yet protected manner.
What is Yoga Physiology?
Yoga Physiology is the science that deals with the functioning of the body parts and their specific roles. Its teaching includes the study of the function of different organs like respiration, reproduction, digestion, osmoregulation, and a lot more. It is a dynamic study that reveals how different systems in the body function collectively as a single unit that is moved by energy.
Anatomy vs Physiology
The word ‘anatomy’ refers to the ‘structure of body’, while ‘physiology’ refers to ‘function of the body’. In the anatomy of yoga, you will learn about the detailed structure of different parts and organs of the body. Whereas in yoga physiology you will be studying the functions of these body parts and organs in a coordinated way.
These two terms are often studied jointly and are incomplete without each other. One needs to know anatomy before acquiring the knowledge of physiology, conversely, only studying anatomy without understanding physiology is simply worthless.

Yoga vs. Gym: Unraveling the Science Behind Which is Better for Your Health
Tumblr media
‍ Are you torn between hitting the gym or joining a yoga class for your fitness needs? You're not alone. The debate between yoga and gym workouts has struck a chord with health enthusiasts around the world. But which one is truly better for your health? In this article, we delve into the science behind these two popular forms of exercise to help you make an informed decision.
The benefits of yoga
Yoga, rooted in ancient practices, offers a holistic approach to fitness, combining physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. The benefits of yoga extend beyond just physical well-being. Research has shown that regular yoga practice can improve flexibility, increase joint range of motion, and enhance overall body strength. The various poses in yoga help to stretch and lengthen muscles, leading to improved flexibility over time. Moreover, the focus on deep breathing during yoga can enhance lung capacity and oxygen intake, improving cardiovascular health.
But the benefits of yoga go beyond the physical. Numerous studies have highlighted the positive effects of yoga on mental health. The combination of physical movement and mindfulness in yoga helps to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. The practice of mindfulness during yoga promotes a sense of calm and relaxation, allowing individuals to better manage their emotions and improve their overall well-being. Furthermore, the meditative aspects of yoga can enhance self-awareness and promote a more positive outlook on life.
The benefits of going to the gym
Gym workouts, on the other hand, focus on strength training, cardiovascular exercises, and high-intensity workouts. The benefits of hitting the gym are well-documented and can have a significant impact on your overall health. One of the main advantages of gym workouts is the ability to build and maintain muscular strength. Resistance training exercises, such as lifting weights or using resistance machines, help to increase muscle mass, improve bone density, and enhance overall strength.
In addition to strength training, gym workouts also offer cardiovascular benefits. Engaging in activities like running on a treadmill, cycling, or using an elliptical machine can improve heart health, increase stamina, and burn calories. Regular cardiovascular exercise has been linked to a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as heart attacks and strokes. Moreover, the high-intensity workouts often found in gym settings can help individuals achieve weight loss goals and improve body composition.
The science behind yoga and its impact on health
The practice of yoga has been studied extensively, and the science behind its benefits is well-established. Yoga has been shown to have a positive impact on various aspects of physical health. Research has found that regular yoga practice can lead to improvements in flexibility and joint range of motion. This is due to the stretching and lengthening of muscles that occurs during yoga poses. In fact, a study published in the Journal of Physical Therapy Science found that just 12 weeks of yoga practice significantly improved flexibility in the participants.
More information: The Science Behind the Benefits of Crow Pose
Moreover, yoga has been shown to have beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. The deep breathing techniques used in yoga help to increase lung capacity and oxygen intake, improving overall respiratory function. This can lead to a decrease in resting heart rate and blood pressure, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. A study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found that regular yoga practice was associated with a lower risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, including heart attacks and strokes.
The science behind gym workouts and their impact on health
Gym workouts, on the other hand, have a different physiological impact on the body. Strength training exercises, such as lifting weights, have been shown to increase muscle mass and strength. This is due to the stress placed on the muscles during resistance training, which leads to the activation and growth of muscle fibers. A study published in the Journal of Applied Physiology found that resistance training resulted in significant increases in muscle size and strength in both men and women.
In addition to muscular strength, gym workouts also have a positive impact on bone health. Weight-bearing exercises, such as squats and lunges, help to increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. According to a study published in the Journal of Aging and Physical Activity, regular weight-bearing exercise was associated with higher bone mineral density in postmenopausal women.
Comparing the physical benefits of yoga and gym workouts
When it comes to the physical benefits, both yoga and gym workouts offer unique advantages. Yoga is known for its ability to improve flexibility and joint range of motion. The various poses and stretches in yoga help to lengthen and stretch muscles, leading to improved flexibility over time. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who have tight muscles or suffer from conditions such as back pain or arthritis.
On the other hand, gym workouts focus on building muscular strength and endurance. The resistance training exercises performed in the gym help to increase muscle mass, improve bone density, and enhance overall strength. This can be advantageous for individuals who want to build muscle, improve athletic performance, or prevent age-related muscle loss.
Mental health benefits of yoga and gym workouts
While both yoga and gym workouts have physical benefits, they also have a significant impact on mental health. Yoga, with its emphasis on mindfulness and meditation, has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. The combination of physical movement and deep breathing in yoga promotes relaxation and helps individuals manage their emotions better. Moreover, the meditative aspects of yoga enhance self-awareness and promote a more positive outlook on life.
Gym workouts, on the other hand, can improve mental health by releasing endorphins, which are natural mood-boosting chemicals in the brain. Engaging in high-intensity workouts in the gym can lead to a sense of accomplishment and improved self-esteem. The social aspect of going to the gym, such as connecting with others and being part of a community, can also have positive effects on mental well-being.
Finding the right balance: Incorporating both yoga and gym workouts
Instead of viewing yoga and gym workouts as mutually exclusive, it's possible to incorporate elements of both into your fitness routine. Many fitness enthusiasts find that a combination of yoga and gym workouts offers a well-rounded approach to physical and mental well-being.
For example, you can start your workout with a yoga session to warm up your body, improve flexibility, and promote mindfulness. This can be followed by a gym workout that focuses on strength training and cardiovascular exercises. By combining the benefits of both yoga and gym workouts, you can maximize the positive impact on your overall health.
Yoga and gym for specific health goals
Depending on your specific health goals, you may find that yoga or gym workouts are more aligned with your needs. If you're looking to improve flexibility, manage stress, and promote mindfulness, yoga may be the ideal choice for you. On the other hand, if your goals include building muscle, improving cardiovascular fitness, or achieving weight loss, gym workouts may be more beneficial.
It's important to listen to your body and choose the form of exercise that feels right for you. Experiment with different types of yoga classes or gym workouts to find what resonates with you the most. Remember that everyone's fitness journey is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Conclusion: Choosing what works best for you
In the debate between yoga and gym workouts, there is no definitive answer as to which is better for your health. Both options offer unique benefits that can positively impact your physical and mental well-being. The key is to find the right balance and incorporate elements of both into your fitness routine.
If you're looking for increased flexibility, stress reduction, and improved mindfulness, yoga can be a valuable addition to your routine. On the other hand, if building muscle, improving cardiovascular fitness, or achieving weight loss are your goals, gym workouts can provide the necessary tools and equipment.
Ultimately, the choice between yoga and gym workouts comes down to personal preference and individual goals. The most important thing is to find an exercise regimen that you enjoy and can stick to in the long run. Whether you choose yoga, gym workouts, or a combination of both, the journey to better health starts with taking that first step. So lace up your sneakers or roll out your yoga mat, and embark on a path to a healthier, happier you.

── SEO DANBI
₊˙ ◌ ⁎˚ 〇﹒﹙lee jueun. cisfemale. she/her﹚guess who was almost late for their shift at gwangtaeg gym?? that’s right, it was seo danbi! it’s a wonder their job as a yoga instructor isn’t in jeopardy. the 26 year old has been working at sunset galleria for one year and eight months, and is well known for their kind nature. on bad days, they can be rather withdrawn, though. when the mall is dead at night, they can usually be found browsing hair dyes for her next color, but don’t tell their boss!
this is basically gyuri just with some changes so that i have a clear direction i want to head with her. so what's different about gyuri besides the new face? the biggest one is the name change. well, it's just a slight difference. i really didn't need to make the change but i felt like it. but! her personality is generally the same, she just has a bigger fall off from what she wanted to be vs what she's currently doing... more mommy and daddy issues, and maybe more of an "escapist" mindset regarding her personal life.
you may have heard about the fairy residing in gwangtaeg gym through the grapevines. yes, the fairy is seo danbi and no, she does not know exactly how she got that title amongst local gymgoers.
about. (it's basically the same as gyuri so i'll do a recap)
born march 17, 1997. as the last addition to a family of five. she is the baby and her brother and sister makes sure she never forgets that. the line between being babied and just straight up being spoiled is very thin with them, but it’s surprisingly still there. one might think they'd stop as she got older. (spoiler alert: they didn't)
a “loving” father and mother who had very high expectations that all of their kids would follow in their father’s footsteps in the medical field. although she should probably cut off contact with them, she just cant bring herself to do so. they are her parents and she does love them, even if they don't share that sentiment always sought their approval. studied hard, performed well in school, taking care of her chores without being told. all she wanted was to make them happy. i mean, that was her duty as their child, right?
no matter how hard she tried to build a bridge between her and her parents, there was always something that got in the way. maybe they just didn't love her the way she loved them? either way, life went on. she got into a lot of one sided arguments with her parents, got "unofficially disowned" by them over her choice in university major. she may make jokes and laugh about it but deep down she's deeply hurt by it.
attended university away from home with a double major in psychology and health science. supported herself throughout college, working jobs while being a full time student. one of the most difficult times in her life, and really doesn't talk about it to people who didn't know her then. however, she managed to survive the hard nights and the countless moments she wanted to give up and drop out.
had a lot of different hobbies and skills she picked up during college. some of it were from her random side gigs she picked up for extra money. this is also where she got into yoga, because how else would she deal with the troubles her life brings in a healthy manner?
got her degree and is effectively not using it in the way she intended. all of that full from her parents about wanting to be a psychiatrist and she didn't even continue down that path. cue her really getting into yoga post-graduation. took a lot of classes and even got her certification.
started working as an yoga teaching assistant to have an excuse not to move back home, which later led to her working at gwangtaeg gym as an official yoga instructor.
impeccable customer service, her clients leave satisfied and typically returns. even if she's not in the middle of a class or private session, she's seen around the gym, potentially working out in her own time or helping clean equipment. happy to help any gymgoer! or at least that's how convincing she is at pretending she loves interacting with so many people.
either way, she's got a reputation for being kind! and she upholds that for the most part but some days she's just not in the mood to talk to people. tends to isolate herself, and might not be as responsive as usual, which is why some times she can be perceived as withdrawn
fun facts
one bad bleaching session way from being bald. constantly dying her hair to feel like she has control over something in her life. likely got the fairy title from locals due to her preference for unnatural vibrant colors. her scalp is probably crying for help anytime she's within 20 feet from bleach, but that's not stopping her! currently sporting what is supposed to be pink, but may look more purple to some. yes she previously did go through a red phase before the pink and no she was not okay
bad spending habits, really goes in a store and ends up buying something she probably would never use, even though she makes the silly assumption she'll get her money's worth when adding it to her cart. becomes even more of a victim when it comes to thing she finds cute, like certain decorations. i assume this would mean her room has a corner dedicated to the random stuff she bought but hasn't really found a permanent place in her home.
self aware queen! her emotional intelligence very high since those psych classes taught her a lot, esp about herself. however, she still has trouble being vulnerable with others about her emotions. she's dealing with all of that herself and it gets draining quick. on nights it gets too heavy for her, she might be spotted getting a drink or a few in hopes of forgetting whatever was plaguing her mind.
love people watching and making up random backstories for people she doesn't know. it's kind of relaxing for her, the think about the reasons behind why some people are coming to the mall and buying stuff. realizing how big the world is and how small she is in comparison to that. you might just find her on a bench or against a wall just observing.
still living with anxiety, just this time around she's been professionally diagnosed. that amongst a few other things, but it's really something she doesn't speak about. she treats it like a government secret and does her best to keep it from others because she doesn't like others worrying about her.
quick little plot ideas
she is still a shopping fanatic. potential shopping buddies still available. likely to use them as an excuse to buy things after she had set a budget for herself. or somebody that coerces danbi into buying something whenever she visits their store... not like it takes much to convince her anyway

casual friends. most of your conversations have no substance, but you're a familiar face and she enjoys the lighthearted exchanges you two have... she likely doesn’t even remember exactly how you two met, but all she knows she enjoys your company.
someone who stepped into gwangtaeg gym and instantly became a victim of the danbi experience™. it doesn’t matter if you are a regular or it was a one time occasion, your fate was sealed the moment you step one foot inside the gym. danbi makes small talk with any gymgoer, and you were no exception. ( this could potentially result in workout buddies or budding friendships or on the other side, could result in the other being quite annoyed with her trying to start a conversation every time they visit if they wanted peace and quiet)

these were just some quick ideas i thought up to compensate for still not having a plots page, but we can brainstorm ideas that suit our muses as well !!

last weekend I went way too hard, and by Sunday night I was running on completely empty. not even partying hard, just. Ikea and redecorating and blah blah blah blah blah, in our mid-30s we ball.
all this week I've been OUT, batteries dead, zero energy, can't brain for shit, plus Mon/Tues/Wed I have a sore throat, so I'm hitting it with alka-seltzer the first couple days, till it starts to feel better and I'm just drinking SO much tea.
Wednesday the Dizzy starts. By Thursday, I can't sit up without everything spinning, and through Sunday, I have to be flat on my back. Getting up to feed the creachurs is exhausting, disorienting, and generally miserable, let alone feeding myself. Dramamine does nothing. Also, super bonus, my body fucking hurts because I can't move!
Surprise, this is exactly what getting over La Rona felt like, except I don't have La Rona.
Since November I've been sort of operating on yes, this is still LongTallShortFatCovid in the absence of enough data to officially diagnose it, so let's just behave like it's ME/CFS and see what happens. So, supine on the sofa on Sunday, I'm trying to figure out if Gentle Stretches™ are a good or bad idea with post-exertional malaise (the hallmark ME/CFS symptom that I am pretending I know I have for reasons of science). Because, again, I am stiff and sore and I fucking ache.
I know that unfortunately there's a LOT of anecdata and not much hard review around symptom relief, but I also know there's quite a lot of people trying to figure out what works. One person's dribbly candles and magic circles and stuffed crocodile hanging from the ceiling and 13 other chronically ill people chanting the universe's esoteric and black history leads to another person's 4 cc of mouse blood and three small sticks.
I found a blog with a good enough balance of science vs multiple personal experiences that it felt worth digging into -- also Gentle Stretches™ probably not gonna make PEM worse, thank god, sitting yoga ahoy. Some people found NSAIDs or steroids helped them to recover, but the really interesting one to me was a couple very very very small studies about Dextromethorphan Hbr, an OTC cough suppressant.
That tinged a tiny little ding in my foggy jelly brain, and I rooted around like a drunk opossum until I found the alka-seltzer box in the recycling. (Coulda looked this up online. But again, jelly brain.) The cough suppressant is DXM Hbr. And it's got aspirin. I'd been taking a little ibuprofen all week because Ache, so it wasn't necessarily the NSAID. But when I phased out the cough suppressant, that's when the dizzy started.
It's just a correlation, I've got n=1 here. I know that. But I took a standard dose of OTC cough syrup (DXM Hbr and guaifenesin -- no NSAIDs), and in a couple hours I could get up, and walk around the yard and water the plants, despite being kinda dizzy. I started some laundry. I kept taking it just according to the directions yesterday, and today, for the first time in an ENTIRE WEEK, I can think enough to write, I can go upstairs without needing to sit after, and I'm a little lightheaded but I'm not stumbling.
Placebo is a thing of course, but also, Dramamine couldn't touch this, even though it helped last time. Day by day it was getting worse, not better, and I was laying on the couch because I'd finally managed to finish a shower but I couldn't be upright any more afterward.
(All shower euphoria is erased when I gotta sit flopped on the ground towing the faucet hose around my head and trying not to blast my eyeballs out.)
I have an appointment with my doctor on Wednesday. I'm really lucky -- she's been great thus far, and takes me seriously when I say wacky things like I HAVE AN HYPOTHESIS REGARDING THESE SYMPTOMS, CAN WE LOOK INTO THEM. ("Yes and also would you like a referral to get spayed").
That being said, Saturday morning, I cried and cried, feeling like I had to hold onto the sofa to not fall off, because I'm scared and frustrated and angry and grieving. Grief is probably the worst because right now I don't know what I've lost. If I've lost anything. If this is real, if it's going to pass, if I'm panicking ... or if this is my life. Other disabilities have taken things from me -- doors that get closed and then bricked over. This feels like I could get shut in one room forever, like. Yes you, the Stress Powered Engine, who lives for pushing eustress as close to distress as you possibly can for fun and profit! Doing that will now hit you like a semi at highways speeds!
Or, I could recover. I don't have the data to know.

Does Grounding or Earthing Actually Work?
Tumblr media
Grounding involves direct physical contact with the earth, which may support overall health.
Walking barefoot or using grounding mats can balance the body’s electrical energy.
Grounding may reduce inflammation, improve sleep, and lower stress levels.
It helps stabilize the body’s natural energy by connecting to the earth’s surface.
Several studies suggest grounding can boost mood and energy levels.
Introduction
Grounding, also known as earthing, is a practice that involves connecting physically with the earth’s surface.
Whether it’s walking barefoot on grass, sand, or soil, grounding allows the body to absorb the earth’s electrical charge.
What is Grounding?
Tumblr media
Grounding is simply the act of making direct contact between the body and the earth. The earth carries a natural, negative electrical charge.
When you connect with it, free electrons are absorbed, helping to balance the body’s electrical charge.
Health Benefits of Grounding
Blood Pressure:
Grounding may also have positive effects on blood pressure by supporting the body’s natural ability to regulate cardiovascular function.
The practice of grounding helps reduce blood viscosity and red blood cell aggregation, which lowers the resistance to blood flow, potentially easing strain on the heart.
This improvement in blood flow can result in a reduction in blood pressure levels.
Reduced Inflammation:
Tumblr media
Research suggests that grounding may help reduce inflammation by neutralizing free radicals, which can decrease oxidative stress in the body.
Improved Sleep:
Grounding has been shown to regulate the body’s sleep-wake cycles, helping people experience more restful and consistent sleep.
Enhanced Mood:
Connecting with the earth may help lower stress by regulating cortisol, a hormone that affects mood and anxiety levels.
Increased Energy:
Grounding can potentially help balance the body’s energy, leaving people feeling more refreshed and alert after spending time connected to the earth.
Methods of Grounding
Tumblr media
Grounding can be done in several simple ways:
Walking Barefoot: Walking barefoot on grass, soil, sand, or even concrete is one of the most effective ways to ground. It allows for direct contact with the earth’s surface.
Using Grounding Mats or Sheets: If you are unable to go outside, grounding mats and sheets offer a way to experience grounding indoors. These devices mimic the electrical connection you would get by walking on natural surfaces.
Water-Based Grounding: Standing in natural bodies of water such as lakes, rivers, or oceans allows for grounding through water, as it is a conductor of electricity and facilitates electron absorption from the earth.
Science Behind Grounding
The earth’s surface carries a negative electrical charge, and human bodies are conductive.
When direct contact with the earth is made, electrons are absorbed, which helps reduce the buildup of positive charges that may contribute to inflammation and stress.
Some research suggests that grounding can lower blood viscosity, which supports heart health.
There is also evidence that grounding can help normalize cortisol levels, which helps the body manage stress more effectively.
Common Misconceptions About Grounding
Not a Replacement for Medical Care: Grounding is seen by some as a complementary wellness practice, not a substitute for medical treatment. It can be one part of an overall wellness approach, but not a cure for medical conditions.
Grounding vs. Other Wellness Practices: Grounding involves direct physical contact with the earth’s surface, which makes it distinct from practices like meditation or yoga, which focus more on mental and physical balance without requiring contact with nature.
Grounding In Daily Life
Tumblr media
Grounding is simple and can be done daily:
Morning Walks: Take short walks barefoot on grass, sand, or other natural surfaces to connect with the earth early in the day.
Grounding at Home: Use grounding mats or sheets while working or relaxing indoors if going outside isn’t possible.
Post-Workout Grounding: After exercise, spend time grounding to help your body recover and balance its energy levels.
Conclusion
Grounding is a simple and natural practice that may offer physical and mental health benefits. From improving sleep to reducing inflammation, connecting with the earth’s surface through methods like walking barefoot or using grounding mats can support overall wellness. Grounding offers an easy way to feel more balanced and energized.
FAQs
What is grounding, and how does it work?
Grounding is the process of making direct contact with the earth, allowing the body to absorb electrons that help stabilize its electrical charge.
Can grounding improve sleep?
Yes, grounding has been linked to improved sleep by regulating the body’s natural sleep-wake cycles and lowering stress.
What are some indoor grounding options?
Grounding mats and sheets are good options for grounding indoors, offering a similar connection to the earth’s energy.
How long should I ground each day for benefits?
Grounding for 20-30 minutes a day may help reduce inflammation and improve energy levels.
Are there any risks with grounding?

TIL There are different types of compliments. I'm developing this as I come up with how to explain, so it's very much a work in progress.
"Shallow" or "surface" compliments about beauty related things. These have the most superficial affects when received it would seem.
Deeper compliments would be about unchangeable things. "You have pretty eyes" So like a compliment on fixed features.
There's more complicated compliments. When they're layered together? Combined? "I love the curve of your hips" It's still based in desire on a surface feature but shows you've been in their thoughts 🧠 🐿️ ⌚.
There's deeper compliments about a person's character, personality, or efforts. This is something you'd have to be known for, or documented IRL, even if "document" just means your bloke likes watching you in yoga pants most days, and really admires your dedication. And wants to f* it. Not as shallow as it sounds! It's sexy AF to see someone dedicated and driven towards a goal we would find admirable. I was gonna say "nobody wants to bang a _____ person" but that's just leftover judgemental scraps from my childhood. And if history has taught us anything it's that if it can be f*, it will be f*. If it can't, it won't be from lack of blokes trying.
There's a combination of a commitment with a surface compliment. "I'm going to lick my way through every curve of your hips like I'm working on a geometry dissertation" seems to work but somehow "I would fuck you even if you didn't have any hips" doesn't feel like an improvement on the formula. Might need to adjust it based on your audience.
I'm sure there are many more types, but being on the receiving end of so much boy attention has given me a wide range of "dudehaviors" to compare with my early education in Dudehism.
"Female" vs "Male" mindset compliments are very different too, but as neither word is rigidly definable and entirely subjective, I hesitate to use them. Someone who identifies more with one or the other culture tends to think and behave in same ways. We mimic what we think is cool, and society doesn't promote deep thinking, anymore than being born free has promoted people of character and integrity. If everyone only lives for themselves, they're not a quality person. If they only live by the rules and opinions of others, they're not even a person, just a part of a collective "People". Some of the subjective "Thems" that we're always told about.
Tumblr media
So there's this balance in us all that must be maintained. The key to finding it is 💋
Keep
It
Stupid
Simple
Tumblr media
Strip back the cover on your life, and start pulling out all the broken shit, clean all the surfaces of gunk, wipe up any old or spilled fluids. Careful, people get fluids all over 😬 At some point, you get familiar with how it all goes together, so you can see what's out of balance or starting to show it's age vs premature wear patterns, and fix it before it blows the motor.
Compliments are like an additive. They can help or hurt performance. The quality of them is accurate to the situations the person will bring. And there's nothing wrong with shallow surface people or situations. It's a LOT of fun to go for a ride on something simple stupid fun! Just know what you're in for, be prepared for the situation. I know the sand dunes are super harsh my vehicles, so I do extra maintenance. Sometimes people be like that too. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Doesn't make them bad people, just high maintenance for you. If that bothers you, it's up to you to decide if you should ride less, ride somewhere else, or if you need to upgrade or replace a part of you to accommodate new conditions.
Above all else, remember everyone basically can agree that we're all unique, all more than our Meat Mechs, and that there's more to our world and species than anyone understands. Whatever altar you worship at- Science, Religion, Politics, Whatever's on the Idiot Box in your hand... They all say the same things. Be flexible, versatile, adapt to fit your current environment. Compromise to survive, except where you can't.
Tumblr media
If a person is too much of a stress on your resources, maybe you can't not judge them and the grudges keep you from being in the moments, or they're hella dramatic and you always leave crushed and drained, whatever the circumstances are, you should absolutely consider leaving that relationship to blossom into good memories and move on with yourself. No one will fault you for taking care of yourself and protecting yourself from other's negativity.
Tumblr media
As an alternative though, I'd like to propose a question I ask myself everyday. What are you doing to change the situations? Sure, you have to take care of you before you can be there for others, but like, that's an ideal. If you're in the situation already, instead of clinging to every insult and past offense, you have the option to say 'hey, I may not want to be the one here, but I'm here. I'm not doing this with you. Please pull yourself to this minimum standard I require of those around me, or offer a compelling case for why I should adapt to you. If you don't know how or can't meet this minimum but are willing to put in a good faith effort trying, tell me so that we might work together and both grow into something even better."
Tumblr media
Hate isn't original. These are the same no nothing no load children they were in highschool. Something is different in their environment, and they don't like the audacity of someone existing without their explicit approval. If they're of the mindset, adding an imaginary friend who justifies smallness in character as a virtue doesn't help their critical thinking skills. Like compliments, I decide who and how I'll be taking, how I'm going to feel about it, and how I'll react to them. What I give back. I still don't decide how they'll take it, I'm not a man/Bill Cosby.
Tumblr media
No matter what your situation is, who's at the party, or whatever the positions in need of filling, you determine your environment. All you can ever do is your best. If you have, and it's still not working, sometimes you have to accept that loss. You can't always prevent or fix up every loser that slips in. But you don't have to carry anything negative home if you don't want to. Leave the scraps behind, or get a doggy bag, and then move on. It's nothing to you if a restaurant has crappy bar food exclusively. So if you're not prepared to work there as a cook, or help them update their recipes, or train the cooks, then just mark it as an "L" in your daily journal, and move TF on. Get your burgers elsewhere if you don't like it. You wouldn't call in death threats over it.
Tumblr media
The key to a happy life is to evaluate your situations, and then decide what you'll be putting in to them. Consider your priorities before you drop a steaming pile of 💩. Nobody loves the human fart bomb in a situation, so maybe consider being the party balloons and then teach people to make balloon animals. 😘😁 Same people, only your decide if you're dealing with some smelly unpleasant shit or blowing, swelling, contorting, and occasionally popping off accidentally to shrieks, giggles, and startled good natured embarrassment.

The Powerful Duo: How Walking and Yoga Can Combat Depression
Depression, a prevalent mental health condition impacting millions globally, manifests as persistent sadness, loss of interest, and various physical and emotional challenges. While treatment often involves medication and therapy, lifestyle changes, particularly physical activities like walking and yoga, can offer significant support. This article explores the scientific evidence behind how these practices effectively combat depression.
Yoga can help you cope with depression
Boosting Mental Wellbeing: Regular walking offers a multitude of benefits for mental health. It elevates endorphin levels, natural mood-lifters in the brain. These interact with pain receptors, reducing discomfort and triggering a positive emotional state.
Biological Mechanisms: Physical activity stimulates the release of endorphins. These bind to brain receptors, altering pain perception and inducing a sense of well-being.
Research Confirmations: Studies endorse the positive impact of walking on mental health. A prominent study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that walking for at least 30 minutes, five days a week, significantly improved depression symptoms.
Unveiling the Science: Yoga's Role in Depression Management
Introduction to Yoga: This ancient practice combines physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation, promoting both mental and physical well-being. Research suggests its effectiveness in alleviating depression symptoms.
Psychological Advantages: Yoga fosters stress and anxiety reduction. Practices like mindfulness and meditation, core aspects of yoga, focus on the present moment, curbing rumination and negative thought patterns often associated with depression.
Physiological Benefits: Yoga helps balance the autonomic nervous system. It calms the fight-or-flight response (sympathetic) and promotes relaxation (parasympathetic) by enhancing parasympathetic activity.
Research Evidence: Studies support yoga's efficacy as a treatment for depression. A meta-analysis published in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry revealed that yoga significantly reduced depression symptoms across various populations.
Walking vs. Yoga: A Comparative Analysis
Accessibility and Convenience: Walking is readily accessible, requiring no special equipment. Yoga, while accessible, might require initial guidance, especially for beginners.
Physical Benefits: Both practices improve cardiovascular health. Additionally, yoga enhances flexibility, strength, and balance.
Mental Health Impact: Both activities alleviate stress and improve mood. However, yoga's focus on mindfulness and meditation offers deeper mental health benefits.
Integrating Walking and Yoga into Your Daily Life
Starting a Walking Routine: Begin with manageable distances and gradually increase duration and intensity. Aim for at least 30 minutes of walking most days of the week.
Starting a Yoga Routine: Consider joining a yoga class or using online resources to learn basic poses and techniques. Begin with gentle yoga and gradually progress to more advanced levels.
