this is random but i remember people saying that scott is like cheating on kira with malia or something and i feel like that’s totally false. we should just be happy they aren’t giving scott some random love interest on the show and someone he actually has known and trusts. not to mention the timeline between 6a and 6b it has been months of which i’m sure his and malia’s dynamic has developed into probably more than friends and scott can’t really wait around for kira for forever. i love scira but there’s nothing wrong with scalila/scolia?? whatever their ship name is. i’m glad they aren’t rushing into anything with the two of them and it’s  a bit of a slow build up and if you care about scott you’ll just be happy that he’s happy.

one of your favorite creations from 2020: allison argent + hamilton. this is one of those sets where i knew exactly which scenes i wanted blended together and then managed to execute it as-intended and it just. ugh it’s so pretty. and painful. so my two fave things.

a creation you’re really proud of: what’s up danger + sam wilson. both the concept and the execution turned out fire, man—I switched up a lot of my typography choices from my normal thing and I love how it looks.

a new style you tried this year and a gifset that uses it: this og six set. i switched up my blending technique for it, and i really love how it turned out—i’ve been finessing that technique ever since, lol. 

your favorite coloring: this scott mccall set, because any time I make TW look visible—let alone pretty—it’s a triumph, but also working on that first gif 1)took forever and 2)turned out really pretty in comparison to the OG colouring.

a creation that took you forever: black panther + pray for me. my very first attempt at Big™ gifs, and finessing the scene choices, overlay techniques, and fonts took like. hours. i love it so much and  will forever be sad it didn’t show up in the tags.

your creation from 2020 that received the most notes: sam wilson + i’m captain america. tumblr didn’t eat the post despite the blm donation link (which can still be used fyi!). <3

a creation with a favorite scene/quote: this edit of quiet uptown murders me every time. the scenes/cropping/overlays i wanted just came together really well.

a new fandom you joined and a creation you made for it: nile freeman + quotes. the way i adore that woman and her strength and determination and gentleness?? yes good. the colouring & typography worked together really well for this set.

a creation you made that breaks your heart: i made this set on grief in the black panther back in july and it already cut deep at the time, and now it hits... differently. nikita gill’s poetry is excellent and getting all that text to work on a set of four gifs was a fun challenge.

a ‘simple’ creation that you really love: this tfatws set was put together & posted in under like 20 min right after the trailer dropped because I was so excited. the black & white effect was a  callback to this set from the previous year. ...except that set took like ten hours lol.

a creation that was inspired by another one (add both your creation and the one that inspired it!): i don’t think i have any sets that were explicitly inspired by another set this year, but i’m almost always staring at @anya-chalotra​’s work when i need insp.

yo i love your blog it's honestly one of my favorites! (you rlly are a queen im-) this is just an ask about teen wolf and where you stand on it, like ships, and writing and everything else. personally i just want to act like season 6 never happened but how about you?

Anyway, oh boooy, where do I start…

Well, as far ships are concerned it’s pretty much obvious, as soon as you visit my tags page that I love sciles, sterek, mchaleinski and scerek which are pretty much my “main” ships. I have a few rarepairs that you can find on my blog too such as dallison or dydia, Chris/Derek or stanny. But I also enjoy canonical ships such as draeden, scallison, stalia, scira; as far as stydia is concerned I didn’t care for it much (besides knowing it’s just not my thing) but the ending of 6A kinda soured the ship for me). Of course there are characters I don’t like so I’d rather not see them paired with anybody but I guess I tend to be chill about ships I don’t ship. My policy is rather “whatever floats your boat as long as long you’re not asshole about it”.

As far as the writing is concerned you can just take a look at my #wank for ts tag and see that I have a lot of “buts”. Although I wanna say that even if a tv show is not Emmy-worthy and doesn’t provide sublime artistic experience you can still very much enjoy it and find a lot of great things in it. So there are things that I’m unhappy about (most recent I am just super upset, and probably will remain this way forever, over the fact that it was Lydia who opened the breach for Stilesinstead of that person being his best friend or a girl whose anchor is Stiles, and all that only to execute romance because [and I’m quoting one of the writers of the show here] a girl only realised she’s in love with a guy when she completely forgot him… I’m not a writer but I think the three of them could’ve opened the breach together, combining their memories and stydia could still freakin’ happen, instead of downplaying every other relationship Stiles had in his life because romantic love is the only worthy thing in life…). There are also executive decisions that I’m mad about (like firing Arden but still incorporating a plotline for Kira in 6a) which get reflected in the writing. I just… I could go on but I also don’t want to seem like I dislike the show, because that’s not true. But I think you get the drill.

Overall I am not mourning the end of it, I’m happy it won’t get dragged for eternity. It gave me a lot of characters and ships I love and enabled me to meet a lot of cool people and allowed me to experience insane amounts of wonderful fanworks so it’s not all that bad :D

that's good because i'm having fun talking to you too and i'm completely incapable of not mentioning my only two talking points in every conversation. that's so on point though. scott and stiles just taking turns making each other cry at the stydia wedding. now i'm crying. you're right about the christmas hc's too. also in the world where kira gets what she deserves, i could see scira going all out on chrsmas every year and spending it w stydia. im running out of space elaborate for me -ts anon

lmao i can literally relate every conversation ever back to taylor swift, it’s my one true talent. i wore my 1989 tour shirt out the other week and got stopped by like three different people to ask me about it

i’m all about wedding hcs lmao so we’ll get back to christmas later

there are 2 empty chairs in the front row of their wedding, one for allison and one for stiles’ mother. it hurts that they’re not there, but when lydia does the seating chart (no way she’s leaving stiles in charge of that) it feels wrong to not include them some way (also i sort of like the idea of lydia taking her wedding bouquet to allison’s grave instead of throwing it like the tradition. she remembers how allison talked her into taking stiles to that dance in s1 and she wishes allison could be there to rub it in her face how right she was)

scott and stiles spend the wedding reception crying and hugging each other. several people make comments about how it wouldn’t be hard to believe it was their wedding rather than stiles and lydia’s. lydia doesn’t cry. she gets emotional at marrying the actual legit love of her life but she doesn’t cry. if anyone comments on it she’s like ‘why ruin my make up when scott and stiles are doing enough crying for all of us’ 

lydia’s vows have been drafted and redrafted for months in advance. the entire pack has been drafted in for edits and rewrites. they are beautiful and stiles starts crying the second she opens her mouth. stiles’ vows are mostly improvised but they’re beautiful all the same. kira gives stiles thumbs up from her seat the whole time bc scott is too busy crying. 

lydia corrects the officiant on how to say stiles’ name and her pronounciation is perfect and stiles has literally never loved her more. also he literally never gets tired of introducing lydia to people as his wife. (’have you met my wife, lydia?’ ‘stiles i went to high school with both of you’)

(scott and kira are absolutely that couple who have matching christmas jumpers and are disgustingly cute about it all. stiles opens his mouth to ask lydia if they should get matching ugly sweaters and lydia is like ‘no’ before he can even ask bc she knows him so well at this point) 

(stiles: but how do you always know what i’m about to say

Do you think Kira changed Scott in any ways?

No, not at all. Most of the season was spent with them fighting off bad guys and trying to see if they could even be in a relationship. They haven’t even been in an a real relationship that long for her to even try. So, no I don't think she's changed him. Thanks for asking! :)

Sorry to bother but, which ship do you ship more? Scallison or Skira and why? I ship Scallison because, Scott and Allison were madly inlove and did anything for each other and like people say, your first true love is never really forgotten. Thanks!

It’s no bother at all!

I ship them both… I bought into Scallison pretty heavily, but I’m growing to love Scira just as much. Mainly because I’m absolutely in love with all of them: Allison, Kira, and Scott, lol.

As someone whose first love was emotionally abusive, I guess the first love thing isn’t that important to me personally. Romance the way we live it isn’t necessarily one-and-done, because while that particular story is very romantic, love has a way of forcing us to learn about ourselves and grow, and sometimes that leaves you in a place where you have to move on even when it hurts. And there’s a certain beauty to that portrayal where love is a lot messier and more difficult IMO. Which isn’t meant to be a slight on your love of Scallison, so I hope it doesn’t come across that way!

Because all that said, Scott and Allison were beautiful together, and I wanted them to grow up and go through all kinds of life-living and find their way back together, for the sake of literary symmetry around the focal point of “There’s no such thing as fate…. There’s no such thing as werewolves,” at the very, very least.

But I do think there are important positive messages being sent by not yoking Allison to the love-interest-of-the-main-character role too. Not to say you can’t have solid, independent character development and be a LI at the same time, but… There’s still something powerful about the fact that the narrative allowed her her own story and agency in that way.

Of course then she died and my heart broke and nothing was ever good ever again… But that’s a completely separate question. [broken sobbing in the distance]

What I want from Scira this season. Character/Couple wise.

Based on the ask I got yesterday. (x) Thanks for reminding me by the way!

(Scira) I want some conflict - I don't want their relationship to be just rainbows and ponies. I want their relationship to have some hiccups/obstacles or else it will get very boring.

(Kira) I want to explore her powers more - Yes I know she fights with a katana but what else can she do? She's a Thunder Kitsune, so I want to learn more about that.

(Scott) I want to see more of Scott - He's the main character for god's sake! Last season, we barely saw him. It was like he wasn't even a character on the show. Give him a fucking storyline Jeff!

(Scott) I want goofy Scott back - We didn't really get to see Scott joke that much last season. That's basically who he is! He's a goofball. Give me that!!!
