Ok, so I know we make a lot of jokes about how gay the Trojans are, but after reading tgr… that’s totally on purpose

There’s a reason that Rhemman respects Wymack so much, and it’s that they’re doing the same thing. Where Wymack has made a team that’s a haven for kids who need a second chance, Rhemman has made one that’s a safe space for queer athletes.

Rhemman’s quieter about it, in part because he can be, and in part for the safety of his kids, but it’s the same thing Wymack’s doing. And while he might not be as outspoken about it, he’s absolutely putting out the signals for those who might need to know. Just look at who his captains are. Jeremy, who’s had a lot of attention for being unsubtly gay. And Xavier, a trans man who has transitioned while vice-captain and isn’t trying to hide it.

And if his two captains weren’t a loud enough signal that his team was a safe space, you have the team’s reputation. They’re known for being nice to everyone. Anyone who joins this team knows what standards they’re going to be held to and can guess that bullying won’t be tolerated within the team. More than that, the team’s reputation doesn’t just mean safety at home, it also acts as a shield for its players. It’s well established that almost no one beefs with the Trojans and going after one of their players is a taboo. (Yes Jean is the exception here, but the more entrenched in the team he gets the more it’ll be true for him too).

Rhemman has gone out of his way to make a space as safe as possible for queer athletes. And for those who need it, he’ll show them it’s possible to live a happy fulfilled life by modeling it for them. Rhemman and Wymack are two sides of the same coin.

i don’t want to add to the discourse but as much as people wanna argue on here about ace Vik and all that shit it’s honestly been really nice seeing so much fanfic and smut that actually acknowledges disabled conditions and makes accommodations for them like usually disabled characters are cast aside or their disabilities are cast aside and smut is written with them completely fine or they’re just considered unfuckable and that they aren’t dating anyone or they’re labeled as ace (which is a big reason why i don’t like that headcanon for Vik personally i think the claim for the creator comes from an inherent place of homophobia and prejudice) so it’s been really cool to see so much representation and no one ignoring especially Vik’s disabilities but Jayce’s leg as well like yeah put your little gay ship in braces together and then they kiss and fuck nasty !!

COZY GAMES ARE MEANT TO BE A LITTLE DARK

I keep getting videos on YouTube that talk about how cozy games are secretly not cozy because they have dark elements to them like the war in Stardew.

Apparently this is somehow meant to ruin the coziness? I hate to break it to you but THATS THE POINT.

These games do not exist in a cozy vacuum where nothing bad happens ever. That would frankly be a terrible game and an even worse story. Cozy games are not cozy in SPITE of their dark elements they are cozy BECAUSE of them.

In Stardew yes there's a war, and people have dysfunctional relationships and that's the point! you're in a shitty town living on a shitty farm but you're there to help. you make friendships, and you fix your farm, and you leave the town a little better than when you found it.

In Palia you're living under an oppressive government and everyone has lots of problems. Some people are just struggling to be a single parent, others are on the run from a cartel. It's not light and cheery! but you get to help these people as you work to find your place in the world. I could go on for hours about other games but I think these examples are enough to drive home what I'm going to say next. COZY GAMES ARE ABOUT COMMUNITY, LOVE, AND FRIENDSHIP.

You don't expect your real life friends and communities to be conflict free. Bonds are built on the back of hardship. Lifting each other up. Loving each other and being kind when things are hard.

villagers in both games give me advice on how to do what I need to so I can fix up my property and start life in their town, They send me gifts they think will help with my projects. And in turn I give them a relationship they need. I'm an understanding friend for Linus, or an open ear for Najuma.

Why do we even write counter arguments? sometimes i hear people say “the cast of tua’s acting skills all went down in s4” no babe that’s called bad writing

99% of the time when a usually good actor suddenly does a not so great job on a specific project, it’s bad writing. its lines that feel unnatural and stiff and off and they do their best but it simply can’t work if the foundation (the writing) wasn’t built well.

we are already incredibly aware of s4’s bad writing in every other aspect. why are we blaming the cast who did a FANTASTIC job in seasons 1-3 for issues that can obviously be deducted as the writers, once again, simply not caring enough to try.

everyone says that leon is a cat person or a dog person and tbh I see it… but hear me out. leon as a guinea pig person, SPECIFICALLY RE2 leon. like that little white boy is laying down on the couch, knocked out, and there’s a cute little guinea pig that lowkey looks like him laying on his chest.

in a universe where the canon events never happened, he has 2 guinea pigs that he looks forward to when coming home so he can set them on the counter while he cooks. spends more money on high quality lettuce (and whatever veggies guinea pigs eat) than his own meals.

if someone hits him up about his guinea pigs?????? he will INFODUMP, go all 💡🤓👆 on the person he’s talking to ( if he gets a partner , this is his form of rizz or wtv). he WILL show pictures of his guinea pigs and you’re not sure what’s cuter, him or his pets. will talk to his guinea pigs about shit from work or a cute person he saw today.
