I’m here going through your Hawks’ masterlist and I’m in awe. I have been meaning to write for him, but I don’t know if I can quite grasp his cheeky personality. Okayyyy i wanna start off with how stupid i am 🤦🏽‍♀️ in the tags there was "microCHeating" and i read "microHeating" and i spend a good 10 minutes trying to figure out what is this 😭 this is so embarrassing but that aside busted in busan wass soooooooooooooooo sweet 😭 kook was a literal sweetheart if you ask me. olberic & ranzal: ranzal vc dad? jokes abt ranzal being olberic’s long lost son aside, i do think that like. they’d develop that kind of relationship naturally, which is good because it’s clear that ranzal and his dad don’t. get along and his dad doesn’t accept him 

olberic & arthur: hm...i think they’d definitely get along, but i think arthur might be Too Much for olberic at times? if that makes sense. then again, arthur isn’t always so...loud and theatrical, and can be sensitive to others, so who knows!

top 5 artists/bands discovered from friends’ recs:

5sos!!!!!! i actually discovered this band through my wonderful roommate @clumsyclifford idk if you’ve heard of her? she’s got some amazing taste in music and i had never heard a 5sos song until i met her in 2019 and now here i am!! def the best impact a music rec has had on my life :))))

atl! shockingly not a bella rec, but actually one of my best friends from middle school recommended them to me, specifically the song “drugs and candy” (to be clear, this is a friend i met in middle school, we weren’t in middle school when she recommended them lol)

one direction! these guys are a bella rec, bc even tho i had heard a song of theirs before, i was very much in the “ew boybands” stage before college and so had only heard “what makes you beautiful” and despised it sdkljfl but now i enjoy quite a lot of their stuff! (i still need to listen to a bunch of their discography tho,, don’t worry it’s on the list)

the aces! i was introduced to them by you and iba and a bunch of other people in the club specifically who i do not remember bc my brain is broken and anyways they’re a great band and i got to see them live which was so so fun!!

speaking of people i got to see live, this spot goes to noah kahan!! another musician i was introduced to via the club who is so so good and even better live :))

top 5 movie musicals: (this is very much not in order of fav to least fav lol)

the first music man movie! i haven’t seen it in many many years bc i don’t know where to find it and i think my family may have lost the vcr tape in the move but it’s what made me fall in love with musicals and i have a lot of happy memories with my family connected to that movie :)) my grandfather used to sing “goodnight my someone” to us whenever it was time for my brother and i to go to bed and we said goodnight to all the grownups, and i also have memories of watching it with my dad and brother in our basement :))) i need to rewatch that soon

okay now time for the controversial opinions,, i recognize that 2012 les mis has a heck ton of flaws however. it was my first introduction to les mis and considering that’s now probably my fav musical and one of my fav books (yes i am the psycho who read all of the unabridged version lol) i’ve got a lot of love for it <3

next up is moulin rouge! i am as surprised as the next person that i love this movie bc it does have multiple scenes i have to skip through however! the music is incredible (the show must go on??? el tango de roxanne???) the storyline is *chef’s kiss*, it has great aesthetics, it makes me cry, it was turned into a great stage adaptation recently (that i got to see before everything shut down!) it makes me cry,,, i just really love it :))

sing street!!!! i was blanking on it until just now but wowza do i love this one!!! it’s a strictly movie musical (although it has a stage production now that’s maybe on bway or was right before the pandemic? i should look into that) it’s set in the 80s, it’s a charming story, now that i think of it it’s really perfectly built to be turned into an au, the soundtrack is amazing,,, i’m really sad they took it off netflix now i want to rewatch it :((

capping this off with labyrinth! i mean, do i even have to explain? it’s brilliant, dance magic dance is a bop, it’s got david bowie as the goblin king, some great puppetry, i could go on and on it’s wonderful

top 5 things i want for my bday (i see what you’re doing here missy):

as you know, this year will be my 21st bday and i will be ~abroad~ on a family vacation on that day, so the thing i want most is for no one to react whenever i don’t want to drink! i realize there are cultural differences and also i come across as someone who will say no to things when they really mean yes but i hate when people make a fuss over it bc it’s no big deal! and it’s none of their business why i don’t want to! and no means no!!! so. that’s what i want most lol

to not freak out about getting older! i’m scared of growing up and having to be a Real Adult™ but i would like to stop feeling that way please and thank you <3

a million bucks

to find a good song for 21! i had wonderful songs for 18 and 19, and while i did find one for 20 it’s not as resonant as the last two were so it’d be nice to find a really good song that i vibe with on a personal level that has the number 21 in it

i’d love some more confidence for my next year of life! i don’t like putting a lot of pressure on, like, getting specific things done in a year but there are some things i want to do and some things i have to do (like graduate) and i’m going to need a whole lot of confidence for all those things so it’d be nice to have some more lying around :))
