Honestly the more I think about it the more I really think the sun and moon dew mushroom rlly should've been an amorphophallus instead
- extremely rare and take an immense amount of expertise and tedious care and special conditions to bloom (to the point where one blooming is an incredibly proud event for gardens and often publicized to draw visitors nationwide)
- on average take 5-7 years, sometimes even 10 for some varieties, to reach maturity
- human sized
- called the "corpse flower" (because it smells like rotting flesh)
- weird penis shape
- variety called amorphophallus yaoi

I’m not saying this to be obnoxious I’m just saying it’s so interesting how different some fans are and the generations they come from bc I literally forget Christian Borle is in Hazbin Hotel most of the time 😭 like I literally never think about it. Seeing him wear a HH t-shirt I was like wait what how does he know about that show??? BRO HE’S FUCKING IN IT!!!!! Like I am so of a different world I guess. Meanwhile there are fans of Christian who were INTRODUCED to him from watching Hazbin Hotel and have never seen him in anything else 😭 like they didn’t know he’s a two-time Tony-award winning Broadway actor. And that’s fine, we all come from different backgrounds and generations and specific interests!!!! it’s just wild and interesting how expansive his career is that one fan of his could be a huge bway person and the other is just really into one specific animated tv show but they’re both standing on line to meet him at a COMIC convention of all places because this man just does fucking everything that appeals to the masses ig

im like of two minds on how the group reacts to the reveal of shri’iia’s identity because on one hand, you already got a vampire spawn, sharran cultist, guy with a magic bomb in their chest hide their identity first then reveal it later, so shri’iia’s identity getting revealed later is like ?? well this is like. the fourth time this happened atp it’s not much of a shock anymore. it’s more like who else isn’t hiding their identity smh 😒. but it’s also the fact that shri’iia’s identity reveal happens much later compared to the other three, and she’s already garnered their trust, friendship and goodwill at that point - not to mention they’ve already entrusted her with their own troubles so to find out none of the support she was giving was genuine? that’ll sting. shri’iia also doesn’t have any concept of forgiveness lol. at best, forgiveness to her comes in the form of death so that’s what she’s expecting. she doesn’t expect anyone to forgive the lies she’s crafted - she’s expecting they’re gonna kill her after finding out this truth - but I imagine they’ll be like girl you’re kind of a snake and I don’t want to talk to you rn 😒, or maybe they won’t gaf bc they got more important problems like the worms in their head instead of this person being part of a cult who worships an evil aligned goddess, either way!!!!!!!!!! the reaction that shri’iia expects is something more drastic. and I do think she gets so scared after the reveal, like stray animal backed in a corner baring teeth and lashing out terrified - and she really is expecting death bc of the lies and the fact that she’s a drow in the surface. she thinks this is finally when she gets hunted and killed like some dog. It confuses her when they leave her alone and allow her to continue to travel with them the next day.
#like shri’iia when she’s given goodwill ???????? just so confused and bewildered she’s kind of scared of it lol#but astarion absolutely takes advantage of the detoriating mental health btw 🤤🤭🤭🤭🤭 to me the hags had been lowkey assessing watching each#other bc they were onto each other’s game at the start. they both know the other is hiding something and it was just a matter of time to#see who folds - which astarion did first with the vampire reveal. then shri’iia lets him drink from her and accept his identity - allow her#to be an ally to him so now she has that leverage. and he owes her. so when this happens ^ and he recognises what’s happening and how she’s#losing the support of the team he’s going to return the favour and slither his way next to her side. be the person she’ll rely on#bc he already planted the seeds of his seduction in the forest scene and this is just adding on to it 🤭🤭#he’s taking care of his long term investment ok this is gonna pay off later trust#not to mention he’s seen her fight. she’s a paladin. he thinks she’ll be able to put up a good fight against cazador#and if she doesn’t? at least she’ll be able to distract the bastard long enough for astarion to slit his throat or so#or something. if she died in the process? ah well they had a good run but shes meant to be fodder for him anyway#SO he’s def gonna take advantage of how vulnerable she is rn. he’s gonna sweet talk her and worm his way to her side#so he can use her later. it was really a clown move that he fell for her lmfao that was really not part of the plan 🥲#shut up about bg3.

a song that i associate with my muse meme!
AHH, hey, ramone!! thank you for sending in this prompt :D since you sent in three of the mic's, i shall now be treating you to three songs that make me think of blamore when i hear them / that i associate with it. an explanation of why i chose them will be in the tags <3
hozier - who we are.
youtube
icehouse - crazy.
youtube
depeche mode - personal jesus.
youtube
#IT WAS PROBABLY NOTHING BUT IT FELT LIKE THE WORLD: musings.#asks - answered.#ooc post.#okay but ESPECIALLY heavy on the last one because it literally all about the idea of someone that people can turn to in hard times-#like a god or a prophet who will listen to your plights and help you + who you should believe in. and i say this because one major theme-#to blamore's character is the concept of being a false prophet and someone who essentially unfortunately takes advantage of people's-#longing for things to get better in gotham. bc i feel like a lot of people there have either been failed by the system by other's or-#possibly both and this is so that blamore can get people to voluntarily want to consume the 'seeds' it distributes in order to uhh...#well purge gotham of its undesirables basically as terrible as that sounds. but yeah that depeche mode song? it's such a good one for-#him and definitely has helped me before to write things related to him since blamore does sometimes believe in its own hubris.#but as for the second one by icehouse that one i associate with it because although it doesn't exactly consider itself to fully identify-#with the label of being a 'man' i feel as if blamore will still talk about itself that way sometimes. its relationship with its gender-#is honestly a little bit complicated NGL because him using it/its pronouns as well is something blamore adopted recently even-#though he'd always sort of felt like disconnected and/or like it didn't really align with how he saw himself completely. BUT yeahhh#i honestly could start a whole discussion about that but i shall do that another time perhaps ahah. anyhow though besides that-#elephant in the room ever since it has transformed into this half-human half-plant monster being... although it does love any partners-#it has very much (trust me) i feel like it does wonder why they chose to be with him more often than he'd like to admit.#so that's where the whole 'crazy' part comes in and as for the hozier song that song is about how you kind of have to carve through-#this 'darkness' to rediscover ourselves and who we want to be as a result of going through a rough time or just something tough in-#general and that is SO freaking fitting in my opinion for blamore because it definitely had to completely reframe the way it thought-#about itself when it transformed. and he also had to figure out what he believed in / what his values were now which can be suchhh-#a messy process TBH but this isn't the first time that blamore's had to rediscover itself as life is honestly kind of this ongoing-#process of losing yourself and trying to find yourself again you know? but yeah. i hope you enjoyed my explanation here tehe <3#and also that you enjoy the tunes!!

what’s your feel-good movie?
what flower would you like to be given?
what calms you down?
what’s your ideal date?
morning, afternoon or night?
1: What's your feel-good movie?
Boy... I don't know how to choose. I (finally) went and looked at my movie library, and, like... I probably watch 'Groundhog Day' more than any other (though that's partially, possibly mostly, because I try to actually watch it every year on Groundhog Day); but I also have a very big soft spot for 'Charade'... and there are a bunch of other movies in there that I might turn to as well: 'WALL-E', 'Wreck-It Ralph', 'Shrek', 'Singin in the Rain'... (I'm not looking at it as I write, but there are more)
It's almost dependent on micro-moods and what I just happen to be wanting to see at that moment. I have a whole passel of them!
2: What flower would you like to be given?
I've actually received more flowers in the past month than I have in my entire life prior (it seems to have been a thing to give teachers flowers this year?), so I have new perspectives on this question.
I think my key takeaway is that variety is better. I got roses, which are... nice - they look good; they die fast. I got mums (or what I think are mums), which are multicolored, and have lasted much longer than the roses. The most recent, however, is a variety (duration TBD), which makes for both different colors but also different shapes, which I find more visually appealing.
3: What calms you down?
Space, quiet, and time. When I get worked up over something, I need time to process. Usually that looks like sitting or standing outside, just... staring... at nothing in particular, while my brain runs over and through and around and into and under and back through whatever it is that's enervated me.
4: What's your ideal date?
I think as long as it's got some kind of walk through nature, that's pretty ideal. Could be a county park, could be a beach, could be a national park forest, could be a city street with some greenery, or anything in between - as long that gets worked in there, I think that works.
5: Morning, afternoon or night?
I am definitely a night person. Left to my own devices and without any serious responsibilities, I can easily adopt a noon-4am schedule. 😅

"The substances behind the slimy strings from okra and the gel from fenugreek seeds could trap microplastics better than a commonly used synthetic polymer.
Texas researchers proposed in 2022 using these sticky natural polymers to clean up water. Now, they’ve found that okra and/or fenugreek extracts attracted and removed up to 90% of microplastics from ocean water, freshwater, and groundwater.
With funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, Rajani Srinivasan and colleagues at Tarleton State University found that the plant-based polymers from okra, fenugreek, and tamarind stick to microplastics, clumping together and sinking for easy separation from water.
In this next stage of the research, they have optimized the process for okra and fenugreek extracts and tested results in a variety of types of water.
To extract the sticky plant polymers, the team soaked sliced okra pods and blended fenugreek seeds in separate containers of water overnight. Then, researchers removed the dissolved extracts from each solution and dried them into powders.
Analyses published in the American Chemical Society journal showed that the powdered extracts contained polysaccharides, which are natural polymers. Initial tests in pure water spiked with microplastics showed that:
One gram of either powder in a quart (one liter) of water trapped microplastics the most effectively.
Dried okra and fenugreek extracts removed 67% and 93%, respectively, of the plastic in an hour.
A mixture of equal parts okra and fenugreek powder reached maximum removal efficiency (70%) within 30 minutes.
The natural polymers performed significantly better than the synthetic, commercially available polyacrylamide polymer used in wastewater treatment.
Then the researchers tested the plant extracts on real microplastic-polluted water. They collected samples from waterbodies around Texas and brought them to the lab. The plant extract removal efficiency changed depending on the original water source.
Okra worked best in ocean water (80%), fenugreek in groundwater (80-90%), and the 1:1 combination of okra and fenugreek in freshwater (77%).
The researchers hypothesize that the natural polymers had different efficiencies because each water sample had different types, sizes and shapes of microplastics.
Polyacrylamide, which is currently used to remove contaminants during wastewater treatment, has low toxicity, but its precursor acrylamide is considered toxic. Okra and fenugreek extracts could serve as biodegradable and nontoxic alternatives.
“Utilizing these plant-based extracts in water treatment will remove microplastics and other pollutants without introducing additional toxic substances to the treated water,” said Srinivasan in a media release, “thus reducing long-term health risks to the population.”
She had previously studied the use of food-grade plant extracts as non-toxic flocculants to remove textile-based pollutants from wastewater and thought, ‘Why not try microplastics?’"

Goths aren't "true to seed" in the sense that the biological offspring of two goths do not necessarily grow up to be goth, though inheriting the inclination for it from both parents increases the odds significantly. That is not how goths naturally reproduce.
The process is actually quite sophisticated, and requires the presence of a full-grown goth to trigger it. A pupal-stage proto-goth, at this point completely indistinguishable from any other small human child, only needs to encounter a mature specimen once - and while the initial imprinting that ensues will only take seconds, the incubation period often takes more than a decade, even several.
The first visible step of the transformation is triggered when the dormant goth suddenly gains awareness that they have free will and can do whatever they want with their appearance. While the progress may be gradual, or seem like the transformation happened all at once overnight, the initial seed was planted years ago. And now, in full bloom, a fully-fledged mature adult goth may finally be happy.
And that's why it's important to sometimes look goth as fuck in the grocery store. You might be seen by small child who had previously hoped to die before adulthood because everything they've heard about becoming a grownup is just pure misery, who will then consequently think to themselves "actually nevermind, that's what I want to be when I grow up."
