Hi there, my name is Shon. I'm witch who is still trying to learn from my own personal studies, failures, attempts and the like. One thing I cannot do, and haven't been able to for quite a while, is see things. I get glimpses at times but that's about it and it's very rare. I was wondering if you may know of a way I could clear my mind or my block so as to see past it and see what I'm meant to be able to see?

Hi Shon,

First of all it’s important to note that not everyone is born with the gift of sight but everyone alive does have gifts they can develop if properly cultivated & it’s definitely more rewarding to focus on developing those gifts we do naturally have. Not to mention they’re the key to our individual life’s purpose.

Having said that, if you have a persistent interest on the subject & you’ve also experienced glimpses it’s possible you might have the gift - especially given that you mentioned feeling you have a block.

If that’s the case I recommend you commit to a regular meditation practice, learn to stare into the distance out of focus while paying attention to the things that happen outside the corner of your eyes & drink third eye opening tea (I’ll share a recipe soon) before bed.

You could also do a block buster spell specific to your third eye & crown chakra and/or your spiritual gifts.

And here we are in xxxholic Chapter 92(ish)! The final chapter in this leg of the reading journey before we switch back to Tsubasa.

In which Clamp show us this lovely cover and my thoughts go “Oh how lovely!” and “oops I wish I knew more about flower symbolism”. 

But I’m sure it is a very fitting and poignant flower choice! Full of many meanings for us to think about!

The AU where I’m a botanist is looking wild right now. 

In the meantime we have a couple of nice little touches that speak to their closeness, like Kohane lifting the veil to shelter Watanuki underneath it, and strands of her hair falling over his head and gently resting there. It speaks of a very soft and comfortable connection, which is something very valuable considering the nature of Kohane’s family and how they treated her. We never would have seen this kind of image of her when we first began her storyline, and it’s wonderful that she has support in people like Watanuki now. It’s showcasing an easy kind of comfortability and closeness that only comes when you really care about and trust another person - so this is genuine and beautiful change to Kohane’s life that only exists in the world because Watanuki is still here, which means it's an important note for him too. 

All that said it kind of looks like this could be an advertising poster for a new pair of earrings and it’s working on me.

eyes blink as the woman tried to get her bearings back together ;     running into someone as your attention is   STOLEN AWAY  by a remnant soul trying to play hide & seek with you was something that has happened once or twice before to the former marine. sadness filled her heart everytime as it meant that a child had died here               its soul now lingering   BEHIND  in a constant state of confusion why nobody saw them. the smile the kid has given her as they realized that   SHE  COULD  SEE   them has been near blinding, distracting the rose haired for just a moment. one moment was enough to cause consequences with a   LIVING  PERSON .

its such a minor detail but it can imply so much about how minecraft divinity/worlds work

ugh yeah, something about that sort of power not being inherent to the person, but to the world, and their only special ability is their connection to it?

basically, yoglore 'gods' as metanarrative forces rather than divine beings. they aren't gods because they are divine, they are gods because they can manipulate the very way their story is told. like a character in a book who has access to their own manuscript, or a character in a film who can adjust the edit.

they have so much power, but its not their power. they just get the chance to use it, if they're clever about it

Asymmetry

One of the benefits of channeling art on a daily basis is the opportunity to recognize patterns and recurring symbols, imagery, or themes over a span. Sometimes these are things we don't expect or understand at first, but over time or upon questioning, layers of meaning emerge.

For example, I channeled a set of images with Hadit yesterday. The resulting images were conceptual and forced me to expand my ways of thinking and seeing in order to engage with them. This morning, while working on something else, my attention was drawn to three collages from a series I had channeled a little over a year ago.

The first image was of Hadit, as we had learned after it was created. It is relatively minimal in appearance, but took many layers to create. When I zoomed in on the image, I noted that some of the geometric shapes were not perfectly symmetrically aligned. As someone who is generally obsessed with details like this, it irked me. I had spent many hours creating each of these collages in deep trance and each tiny nudge and digital placement was guided and confirmed. Knowing this, I mentally took a step back and realized that it was intentional.

When channeling the most recent images with Hadit, I received some imagery related to portals, wormholes, and interdimensionality. Often these initially rub me the wrong way because they do not exhibit the symmetry that I've been trained to desire. But they speak to something more, a way through. The way the geometric shapes in the collage were offset echoed this. Once I was able to grasp this, this reframing of my mindset helped me to better understand the collages as well as the newly channeled images and subsequently identify more symbolism and meaning that I had previously overlooked.
