Get To Know The Girl Behind The Screen

Yoo how! What’s up? The name’s Stephanie, but on the internet I go by Peachy. I was born in Jakarta at March 29th 2001. And at the time when this intro was written, I just turned 19 a few days ago (yay, www)

Like any other kid, my childhood was pretty normal. I was raised in a household with 3 people, which consists of my Papa and my Mama. By the way I’m an only child. People would say this is an advantage, and in some ways, it is. But on most times, i felt pretty lonely at home. And as a result, i would turn that loneliness into gaming, watching anime and reading manga at a really young age.

Why animanga and gaming, you might ask? well that’s simply because my Dad is a weeb (probably more of an otaku than I am) He collects manga, owns a lot of anime dvds on his collection and back then when we still have PS1 and PS2, we’d play games like Persona, Kingdom Hearts,a few of the Final Fantasy series, and probably my favorite growing up, the original Devil May Cry on PS2 (It was insanely addictive and after this I’m going to continue playing the 5th installment of the series)

The anime that I watch at that time are heavily influenced by my Dad’s taste. I started watching series like Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Neon Genesis Evangelion (oomf heavy. i know. My Dad told to watch Eva when i’m old enough but i watched it secretly. Safe to say, I’m pretty traumatized by the ending. Lesson learned, listen to your folks), Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing and a lot more. But then as I got more into this, I wanted to know more about the wonders of anime and manga. So I decided to watch titles like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura and a lot of more Anime ‘for girls’ (we call this Shoujo, fyi). And as for Mangas? I only read a few titles. Most of them are from the Animes I’ve already mentioned.

At school i can never blend in with the crowd. I was pretty much a loner. The only few people who wanted to be friends with me are the people who needed friends to hype about animes. And of course, the stigma of liking anime is not very good. So i left anime for a while and not talk about anyone. (yet i secretly watch a few series, but not that intense)

From grade school to junior high, i spent my life in Depok. But I wanted to have a change of scenery. So I told my parents that I wanted to go to Jakarta for high school. They said yes, but on one condition… and that is to go to an all girls high school.

“WHAT??!!!!”

Yes. That was the condition. I was against it at first but looking at the school’s legacy, I feel like this could be my gateway to adulthood. So, I said to myself that you’re going to do this and you’re going to change your life here.

And so I did. Next thing I knew, I’m officially a student at Tarakanita 1 High School. Life in highschool is completely different than what i know from grade school and junior high. I found people that I consider my ride or die girls, people that like me for who I am and nobody would ever say bad things just because you like anime (cause deep down we girls love our 2D boys too       ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ﾉ⌒♡*:･)

Then high school ended and I got accepted to Universitas Indonesia. This is a new challenge for me because i’ve never been to a public school before, let alone a public university where there are thousands of people coming in from all across the nation. Adapting was hard, believe me. But I manage to survived 2 semesters. And that’s something that i’m thankful for.

Anyways… That’s my life story so far. There’s a long way ride ahead of me, so there will be many more stories to tell and hopefully i can do this blogging thing on a long term. Peace out, love ya

Hi! My name is Natalie Gregorio and I am a Special Education/Elementary Education-Art major. I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember and as soon as electives were introduced in middle school, I have always taken the art classes available; especially throughout high school. During this semester I am hopeful that my knowledge on graphic design and the overall topic of 2D art is expanded. I find myself to enjoy drawing and painting the most, so I am intrigued to dabble more in the world of digital art. I have used Photoshop and Illustrator in high school, but with this course I am hoping to go more in depth into the programs. Hello there! So I’ve finally decided to do an introduction to this studyblr. 

To begin, my name is Yessica but my nickname since childhood has always been Yessie, hence studyessie. I’m currently 16 years old and an incoming high school junior. However, thanks to a dual credit program at my school, I have the opportunity to attend my local community college and achieve my associates degree and high school diploma coming out of high school.

So apart from school, who am I? Well here’s the basics:

Family Background

Daniel Fletcher their biological father was, in the 1st Battalion, 1st Marines. It is something that he will always be proud of, but it really wrecked who he was mentally. His platoon was attacked during the Persian Gulf War in the 1990s. Daniel saved three people from the whole thing, but watched the rest of his soldiers die. Despite coming out of this as a war hero, he lived with many demons. This altered the life of Clementine the most. He was too shellshocked when he returned from war to ever be excited about their birth. His PTSD caused him to verbally lash out at Clementine. Which is one of the reasons why they ran away. 

Alana Fletcher their mother was, a very smart women who worked as a secretary for a housing company. Daniel was her high school sweetheart and they always had wanted a child. So when she did become pregnant it was so exciting for them, but then Daniel was sent back to war again. This left Alana alone with the baby bump that would soon become Clementine. Since the bump was that she could talk to, they became great talking pals. Sadly right as Clementine came into the world, Daniel seemed to lose a lot of his suddenly. At first she didn’t let her husband get away with the verbal abuse. Some things he could say to Clem and then there were times where he drew the line. Then when she lost her job due to the house market crash, she gave up on trying.

Collin Green their pretty much adoptive father, works with his own non-profit that helps underprivileged people in Portland. He found her when she had run away from home at the age of fifteen. Collin is also a veteran and was very close to her biological father Daniel. Unlike Daniel, Collin was able to pull himself out of the deep parts of PTSD. He still suffers from it, but with therapy and later Clementine he realized that it was okay to suffer from a mental illness. It gave him the idea for his non-profit and changed his life.

She/They Pronouns, has moments where they is more preferred, but will let the person know when that feeling strikes.

They are still trying to figure out sexuality, normally they date women or men more open to being feminine. Isn’t even sure if she wants a label with it.

They have two jobs. Twitch Streamer, where they play video games and often will play said video game in cosplay. Freelance Artist, has an online shop where they sell paintings on mostly landscapes and womanly figures. 

They live in The NorthWest District, lived on the streets of Downtown until Collin Green found them. 

Finds beauty in almost everything, is that person that walks around and makes you stop to go “LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL THAT IS?!” 

Carries around a tiny pale purple sketchbook, will take this out and start drawing out of nowhere if the mood strikes.

A sucker for affection, often will lean into hugs and cherish it for a bit, long kisses, cuddles that last until waking up.

Will never judge if you haven’t played a video game, but will want to show you their favorite ones, also truly loves when people watch her play.

Is a lot more confident around close friends, family, and while on twitch streams. 

Owns a lot of wigs and will always have very naturally short hair. Her hair color changes almost every day or just when the color feels right. 

Has a lot of sleep anxiety and often will ask someone to lay down with her or hold some type of stuffed animal, often dreams of fighting parents or nights being homeless.

Still deals with her past traumas daily, very down on themselves for no reason, overcritical of themselves and sometimes her environment, will go into an emo listening depression at random moments.

Holds a lot of resentment towards their family, despite leaving a note they never searched for Clementine. Not that she expected them too, but they also do not ask Collin how they ever are.

Collin Green: In my mind his fc is Daveed Diggs (i love him) and he is in his middle thirties. Works for a nonprofit that helps underprivileged people. Is the CEO or just the top man with this nonprofit. Met Clem about three weeks of her living on the streets. He took her in since she was going to have to end up in the possible foster system or worse sent home. Very much the Joel to her Ellie.  Friends: This could be from people who knew her when she was homeless to knowing her during her awkward going into high school knowing no one. Self Intro

Hello people of the Tumblr universe, I’ve only really used this blog as a home for images I find worth keeping. But since life presents different ways of giving feedback and expression, I’m going to start using my blog as more of a thought holder folder haha. I’m starting these thoughts with something about myself, since I’d like to think I know myself - I’ll begin with a self intro. 

My name is Cat, I enjoy learning and chatting with likeminded people. I’m lucky enough to live on property, which keeps me happy and healthy. I love nature, finding myself completely enthralled in the wilderness is something that evokes extreme peace. I am lucky enough to have a wonderful human in my life, he supports and encourages me to take any challenge that presents itself. Along with this amazing human, we have three cats, and numerous fish.

I’m a full time student at the moment, this was something that took me awhile to figure out - entering the education system again. After leaving a job that left me feeling slightly burnt out, I really had to weigh my options. Overall I’m excited to begin anew with schooling, I really did miss the open-mindedness of university. Genuinely looking forward to continuing something worth while, and relishing in the environment of learning.

This was the very first activity we did on Media and Information Literacy, was to introduce ourselves through a video. Through this activity I kinda somehow touched by a bit of realization like, “oh, so this is me, this is what my hobbies are...” and so on after watching it. I wanna improve the editing that has been done in this video of mine and add some more effects but I don’t have much time. What I have in mind as I’ve working on this was that how amazing that I’ve absorb lessons & priceless experiences in life as I grow up like you can always hold out for something better when you know your self-worth. This has been an astonishing activity, simple but divine ✨
