i can't get over how mark's innie deals with grief the same way his outie does. innie mark throwing the photos of petey away. leaving irv's funeral early. outie mark getting severed to avoid dealing with gemma's death. somewhere in mark scout's core is the instinct to run away when he has to deal with loss and that makes me craaaazyyyyyyyyyy

Lowlands (Ephennos, Ephenni):

-short sleeved linen tunic, silk waimengari shortcloak (decorative), wool trousers, knit wool hat, and a thick wool cape. Widespread adoption of trousers outside of the context of riding is most characteristic of the western provinces and is central in men's winter wear there.

-three capes combined- thick wool sheet as underclothes, thinner linen sheet as outerwear, and a thin linen veil functioning as a hat, scarf, and a sleeve for the exposed dominant hand.

Highlands (West Rivers, Silde-Urbinnas)

-wool tunic, wool trousers, very nice woolen jacket, wool and deer fur hat. Mittens and a cape might be added as outerwear for very cold days or outdoor labor.

At the low elevations, winters are rainy and very mild and rarely dip below freezing. Exact temperature ranges vary by region, but the average winter minimum is 40 F and maximum is around 60 F. You have a decent chance of seeing some snowfall at least once a year on very cold days, but actual snow accumulation is rare and memorable, and seeing standing bodies of water freeze is often a once in a lifetime event.

In highland conditions, winters can get significantly colder, though exactly how harsh this is varies tremendously by elevation. Most year-round inhabited highland areas have temperature ranges of ~20-40F (give or take). Precipitation will mostly come as snowfall in this context. In most years you can count on snow accumulation during most of the winter, though it only tends to last without some in-between melting at the more sparsely/impermanently inhabited higher slopes. Most mountaintops will retain snow cover throughout the winter, and the two highest peaks are VERY occasionally known to receive rare summer rains as snowfall.

Most of the Wardi population is spread at low elevations, though the majority of the province Erub and parts of Ephennos are geographically located in elevated highland foothills and may experience slightly colder winters than adjacent low plains. The north of the province Wardin has its own (less dramatic) uplands, the tallest hills of which (~3000 ft) are known to get a crest of snow during particularly cold, wet winters. Inversely, the Yellowtail valley is culturally considered part of the Highlands but is a low plain with very mild winters. It hosts the largest lake in this region and it only freezes over in its entirety approximately once a century.

Outie Mark loved all parts of Gemma equally, which would explain why Innie Mark couldn't detect that it was Helena, not Helly in front of him at the beginning of season two until the reveal in Woe's Hollow. Of course Innie Mark would also love his partner equally.

Innie Mark didn't answer Helly when she asked if it felt different with her compared to Helena. He instead, kissed her. Is that considered verbal confirmation?

Outie Mark can't help but feel strange around Helena, because Innie Mark loves Helena, who is also Helly.

Hello! As someone who is very confused on the layout of the mystery shack, I gotta ask: where does bill sleep??? Like I know he sleeps somewhere upstairs, but he doesn’t usually sleep in the attic since the door had been firmly shut prior to the tooth fairy arc. So does he sleep in the hallway?

he sleeps in the attic, he doesn't sleep in the attic bedroom.

the layout of the mystery shack is somewhat inconsistent, but we get this map in season 2 and for fic writing purposes and building in the sims 4 purposes I use this as the "canonical" layout of the Mystery Shack:

For necessity's sake (i.e. we ran outta room on the first floor), i've decided that several rooms, most notably Stan's (former) master bedroom and the main bathroom, are on some kind of magical invisible impossible second floor that logistically can't exist since the staircase goes directly to the attic, but that we won't worry about anyway.

This is the attic:

Notice most of it is a big open room. It appears to partially be used for storage (such as: when we see all Mabel's puppet supplies sitting around in the main attic in Sock Opera) but is mostly empty.

The kids' room is closed off. Bill sleeps in the main attic, underneath the window seat:

Except at the end of Journal 3 we know they threw out the window shaped like Bill and replaced it with normal glass. So it's more like,

In the bottom right corner of the window seat pic you can see the top step of the staircase going downstairs; the attic window seat is in the open attic space, not in a "room" and not closed behind any doors.
