Day 23 of #sewphotohop and I'm behind as all get out! (What's new? Haha) Today we are talking about #repurposed items. The first pic is one of my favorites. It was a pattern test I did for ellie and Mac (the born royal dress). I used one of hubby's old "club shirts" to make it. Cuz let's be honest...we never get to go out dancing (4 kids and all.) • • • •the 2nd photo is when I was given a yard of fabric (RP custom prints) and wanting to make a daddy and me set. What did I do? #Repurposed their existing team shirts and just replaced the back and sleeves! The 3rd photo is a pair of #tranquilityshorts (Rogue patterns) I got out of another shirt I never wear! I <3 the fabric (RP custom prints) and couldn't stand it just sitting there! • • • • I have an entire dresser in my sewing room/office that is chalk full of old clothing, waiting to be repurposed. Now you can learn to make your own and dress your windows with style. With Tamsin at Cambridge Sewing you’ll not only complete your own blind but you’ll have the skills you need to make more Roman blinds in future. Some sewing classes only teach you to make a sample, but with us you’ll make a complete Roman blind for a small window at home, giving you a much better understanding on how they are created and put together. (window size must be no wider than 100cm) if you do not have a small window at home, you can make a sample blind. Classes are limited to 4 students. You’ll leave with one finished blind, in your own choice of fabric You’ll go away with instructions so you can ‘go solo’ at home. Learn how to make professional roman blinds. You will learn how to measure the window correctly, square off the fabric, fully line the blinds, attach the necessary parts to make the blind functional and how to fit it to the window.
